Regardless, I'll remind that the minority indigenous groups I mentioned are in the context of a white majority, but white people do not have a monopoly on colonialism. Plenty of people don't want to be called Arab in MENA and plenty of people aren't sure that they'd classify themselves as Chinese or Russian in the sense that the West views national identity. But that kind of nuance probably isn't something I should bother with if we haven't made it past point 1.

Everyone else might be afraid, but not her, she understands him ['we difficult patients have to stick together'] and Seven never saw herself as the tending type or the bleeding heart but B'Elanna is. B'Elanna loves machines, loves people so desperately it makes her miserable, and she never drops her candle. B'Elanna's beating, bleeding heart is pouring over her and Seven realizes she wants it for her own. She wants her for her own. Her love. Her woman. Seven - She's a scoundrel, a stately figure with a terrible secret written all over her face, a brute who doesn't deserve the tender touch he's being gifted and she raises her hands to cup B'Elanna's face and kisses her. And it's the only experience she would privately characterize as perfect. And something clicks very neatly into place.

i see ppl being disappointed/worried about eddie saying he’s straight but like…the conversation was also about disguises? and self-hatred? punishing yourself by not letting yourself feel joy or letting urself get things you want? he literally talked about getting a full beard in the same convo? the entire theme of their talk was that eddie was subconsciously punishing himself? like the first time eddie’s sexuality is brought up it’s in this one conversation? he was also so comfortable and chill about a goddamn fucking PRIEST flirting with him as if last szn he wasn’t avoiding seeing his gf since he didn’t want to sleep with her bc he found out she ALMOST became a nun. like yeah he said he was straight everything else about the scene implied he is very much not.

Soooooo.... Natlan trailer huh This is just beyond me at this point. The fact that Iansan, the ONLY character with darker skin -- and even saying that is pushing it because she is quite literally GREY -- shows up for a lousy 3 seconds max? A pyro region based in Latin and African cultures. A pyro region with characters who represent many different beliefs embedded in Latin and African cultures. A pyro region with its Archon being straight up PALE. WHITE. Hoyo has always done this but this is genuinely so upsetting and I am speechless. Their colorism is astonishing.

And for the people that defend Hoyo and say some blatantly wrong shit, get ur head out of ur ass girl. Hoyo is not trying to sneak lgbt themes into their game by making everyone white (YES I DID SEE THIS AS AN ARGUMENT). Hoyo is not trying to specifically cater to their CN and JP audiences. Hoyo is, like I've mentioned before, a colorist company that simply REFUSES to make dark skinned characters BECAUSE of their colorism.
