i'm so annoyed that i get as ridiculously hung-over as i do from smoking weed. like. i smoke a bowl on my day off and my thoughts are coming out backwards and upside down for 2 days afterwards

imo jax has no clue that hes miserable. like hes putting on a face for sure but i dont think he actually has the emotional awareness to know WHY hes doing that. he just wants to look cool and masculine and thats as far as he thinks on it. theres more to it but he doesnt know that. being sad isnt cool so he wouldnt even entertain the idea that hes secretly sad

#Brakul did a lot of the parenting for Erubi (the first of the Janeys-Brakul-Hibrides throuple bastard children) in infancy especially due#to Hibrides going through absolutely horrific post-partum depression (and not wanting to be a parent to begin with. Like she#had accepted it as an inevitability and a duty but when it actually happened it was just like Oh God. I am in hell)#Brakul is the only one of the three that actually Wants to be a parent and the fact that he can't behave as such in order to avoid#suspicion that he's the father is kind of a living nightmare for him a little.#Not like he isn't involved in his ''''nieces''' lives given he lives in the same household but he has to keep a bit of distance.#Janeys and especially Hibrides are pretty unsympathetic about this. For Hibrides it's like she has had to go through so much shit#to maintain this situation she never asked to be a part of and when he has to go through a fraction of that he breaks the fuck down.#He only wants the benefits of the whole situation and isn't willing to deal with the consequences.#This is also one of the very few things she's sympathetic with Janeys about like she respects that he's at least willing to play#his part and be miserable without bitching to her about it. Like she fucking hates him but respects the commitment to the bit.#Janeys is more just like 'Just go make more kids if you want your own so damn bad. Get a wife or something. I do have strong feelings abt Glinda on the stage show. Personally I like it when she's utterly deranged in act 1 but looks like the world's saddest and loneliest lesbian through all of act 2, to the point where she feels like a different character. Hard to pull that off.

i think you can be as critical about the venezuelan opposition and maría corina and edmundo as you want but arent venezuelans allowed to choose for themselves even if the options arent perfect? are you willing to justify electoral fraud and police brutality, class inequality, bad management of resources, lack of maintenance of the country, breach of the law, lack of investment in health services and education etc etc just because the person doing it is someone you like or because you don't like the other option? are people at fault for wanting something different?

I love that the best emotional acting when it comes to facial expressions comes from Lan Wangji (microexpressions) and Jiang Cheng (macroexpressions). Lan Wangji doesn't emote much but when you're keyed in, the tiny little changes in his facial expression are Devastating. Meanwhile Jiang Cheng is feeling Every Emotion, All The Time, and you are going to see it on every inch of his face. He'll go through twenty different expressions in the same amount of seconds and that face journey will be but a brief glimpse into the awful emotional rollercoaster that is Jiang Cheng's life
#mdzs#also on the list of best facial acting is wwx simply because it was fun watching him go from bright and smiley full of joy and life#to his descent into madness and grief and death#but i feel like lwj and jc really take the cake for opposite reasons#it was wild getting to the point in the show where i could easily read lwj's face#and it would be like how. barely anything changed. how do i look at this and know immediately that you are absolutely smitten#and then there's jiang cheng my love absolutely sobbing SO OFTEN#wzc seriously did so good conveying jc's range#i think about the miserable kicked puppy expression when jingyi accuses him of killing wwx So Often#it's so subtle on the first watch but on rewatch ohhh my god#speaking of i kinda wanna do a side by side comparison of wwx's two death scenes#the one in the first scene and the one much later#bc i know it's shot differently#but im also p sure it's acted differently#if i remember correctly jc looks more angry in the first scene#and more conflicted the second time#but i might be wrong
