Hinton Battle was the original Scarecrow in The Wiz, Mabel King was the original Evillene* (in both the stage show AND the movie), and Tasha Thomas was the original Aunt Em.

*Evillene is the name of the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wiz, so this is a picture of two Wicked Witches of the West meeting (!!!!!!!!!)

I love cds. They gotta be one of the best inventions. Truly the peak of physical media

#this goes for dvds as well #the little cylindrical disks speak to me #theyre the perfect size and they have amazing sound quality #vinyls and tapes are good too but you need specific equipment and speakers for those to really shine #with cds i just put one in my car and boom im in music heaven awesomeness #can yall tell i bought some new cds today #oh also theyre fairly inexpensive especially if you get them second hand #like i collect vinyl records too but even second hand theyre still 20 to 30 dollars #but cds and dvds are like 5 dollars or less second hand #truly beautiful #i am passionate about owning physical media that i like #crunchycore

Piracy discourse is always so incredibly funny to me as someone who learned to pirate almost instantly upon starting using the Internet. Well, okay, maybe a couple years later. At most.

That's an ACTION.#I do buy my fav's singer merch and CDs 'cause she's in shit with the government agenda rn so woman can definitely use some money lol #...also some games but that's mostly 'cause I can't be arsed to keep up with the fucking patches.#honestly the culture around pirating is very different when you don't live where the action is #not only did I not have money as a kid but also a lot of stuff just wasn't being sold #(a lot of stuff STILL isn't being sold).#and a lot of what WAS being sold was a pirated version ripped onto a CD/DVD #(raise your hand if you ever bought a VHS only to realize it's a screen recording from a cinema with people walking on the bottom)#oooh and buying a game at shady kiosk only to get someone's modded build.#'sims 2 twilight' types of 'games' that are actually sims 2 with stolen mods #I was raised on bootlegs I do NOT speak your language if you're complaining #speaking of which I need to find time to burn more CDs.

apartment update: still no pictures cos everythings still Ass but that old desk of my sister in laws thats very nice and all but kind of in the way is gonna go to my old room in my parents house. and in its place im gonna get my old bookshelf from my old room. in my parents house

#its this like almost 20-year-old lundia that i think could do with an extra shelf piece #cos when it was first assebled i had this bigass cd/cassette player with big separate speakers #and theres this huge space to accommodate it all. i havent had that system in Years and now theres tons of empty air in there #where a Lot more books could fit #sure my record collections there but again i dont have a player. but i do have books. and they COULD fit that goddamn lundia #IF i only had EVEN THAT ONE extra shelf piece.#i do need to make an inventory of what books from that old shelf simply need to Go.#like for example i do Not need those hardcover finnish harry potter books #and i need to make a decision about the finnish hardcovers of dark towers 3 and 4 #on the one hand story good on the other hand the translation makes me want to either kill myself or just. make a better translation #like the translations bad in ways that cant all be explained by sking being Like That #much like that shining translation i consulted for the finnish version of that gbu x shining fic. god that sucked ASS #i dont know if it was the same translator. but man. its like hey man do you like. Understand what youre reading. is this a first draft #anyway. the parents are going to the summer cottage tomorrow so the desk/lundia exchange wont happen till sometime next week #also also next week my brother and sister in law are coming over for tea (i need him to put up my curtains im too 160cm for that 😔)#and! im gonna get a pakig tomorrow. with a vacuum cleaner in it #home

Thinking about how my mother’s like 20 year old Gameboy Advance SP still survives to this day and got drenched in plant pot water and still works afterward and only really has a led light problem like holy shit bro is a fucking TROOPER

I wanna start bringing it around more, I did for a while but i didn’t have a good case to care it till I JUST FOUND ONE IN A DRAWER LIKE WHAT THE HELL HOW COME NO ONE EVER TOLD ME??? Its yellowed and i wanna clean it up but like damn its a good as case. Its a side zipper though i dont like that but like it does a good job keeping it safe. But that shit built like the nokia phone man. Also saw that there was like a hip clip case when you could whip it out like a fucking gun bro that was so cool i need one of those

I wanna get some stuff for my ds lite but idk if i should fix it up first cause…yall have seen it…its a little fucked up and most people say to just buy a new one than spending more money to fix it and i probably should but like the emotional value man. I cant replace it!! It’ll get jealous!!! But either way that shit need like some sort of protection cause that thing is HANGING LITERALLY HANGING ONTO DEAR LIFE

My retro gaming collection continues to grow, and soon i will radiate epic swag im telling you man imma be the coolest kid on the block
