I'd like to give you a fic recommendation: Hope on a Distant Mountain. The premise is that THH, much like GD, was a VR sim. But unlike the Neo World Program, which was meant to be a nice island vacation, this one was a nightmare scenario test designed to push one's sanity to the brink. And poor Makoto was thrown into the deep end. But... then he did the impossible. He won. There wasn't a win condition programmed in, and HE WON. Now he's back in reality, dubbed the 'Ultimate Hope', and has PTSD.

Part 2 of this ask:

Hope on a Distant Mountain cont'd: The fic is mostly about Makoto adjusting to an exaggerated simulation being his first experience of his classmates, who in reality are just a few steps to the left of what he expects (i.e. Toko is still abrasive, but she's not obsessed with Byakuya and not Genocide Jack), plus helping everyone around him be better people and generally being the Ultimate Hope while still putting down himself because impostor syndrome's a bitch.

Huh yknow that does actually sound like a fic I'd enjoy. Like a corrupted file version of sdr2, I fuck with that idea. I also like the idea of him winning a condition that isn't even programmed, it really works for Naegi's character and could be fun to play with for the aftermath

Mario is actually the best isekai ever made because the protagonist is a blue collar plumber in his 30s-40s with a silly accent

After a couple of hours of playing Brothership, I can say that the game is pretty fun to play so far ^^

My only issue throughout is Luigi's battle selection being A instead of B like in the previous games. It's not too big of a deal, just messes up my muscle memory sometimes. Just takes some getting used to.

But overall, it's really charming. Mario and Luigi are both adorable little dorks and I love them so much 💕💕
