sjonnie’s prompt - eileen and dean go shopping for a wedding dress and castiel is the seamster. he assumes eileen and dean are getting married. crowley is a human tipjar <3 @castielsprostate

the shop bell jingles and two people step into the shop, castiel’s head shooting up to look at the pair. they were both objectively stunning, castiel thought, taking in the bride’s beautiful brown hair, one of his favorite contrasts against wedding gown white. the groom wasn’t bad looking by a long shot, freckles dotting his face and soft looking hair adorning his head. what stood out by a mile, though, was the groom’s green eyes, practically calling castiel towards him, a siren’s call.

“hello, lovelies, how can we help you?” crowley says, his stupid british accent jolting castiel from his stupor. if crowley and his endearing pet names got on this couple’s nerves, castiel would never forgive him for scaring away the eyecandy.

the bride looks over at her partner before nodding and clearing her throat, saying, “hello, my name is eileen. we’re looking for a wedding dress for two months from now. do you do custom adjustments?”

crowley smiles and explains the details, flipping his words to and fro like he enjoyed tormenting americans with his proper garble, which he probably did. castiel rolls his eyes as the groom stops crowley with a hand.

“sorry, eileen is deaf. she’s pretty good at lip reading but your accent is throwing her off. can we just get a yes or no for the adjustments question?”

castiel lets out a soft laugh, pleased someone finally put crowley in his place, but the groom whips around to look at him, anger in his eyes. “do you think that’s funny?” he snaps, narrowing in on castiel.

“no, absolutely not,” castiel replies, “i’m sorry. i’m not laughing at eileen. i actually know sign language,” he adds, signing alongside his words, “i just enjoy seeing others put crowley in his place. he’s quite annoying.”

crowley growls from behind the greeting desk, rolling his eyes. “you love me and you know it,” he remarks before walking off into the back, deciding castiel was better equipped to handle the pair.

“oh,” the groom remarks softly, “sorry then. i only know a bit of sign language myself, but my brother sammy is teaching me and so is eileen here.” the guy gestures beside him and eileen elbows him, an eyebrows raised. “sorry, sorry. sam hates when i call him sammy. force of habit. i’m dean,” he smiles.

god, if dean wasn’t pretty before he showed his pearly whites, he sure as hell was now.

“good, okay.” castiel says, “let’s get started then. what are you two looking for exactly?” cas signs, signaling to eileen that it’s alright to sign back.

soon after eileen details the dress and adjustments she’s looking for, dean’s eyes start to wander, looking sheepish. “dean?” castiel asks, “what seems to be the issue?”

“nothing!” dean stammers, “nothing. just have no clue what she’s saying is all,” dean laughs, gesturing to eileen’s hands before looking away again.

that, for some reason, sends castiel over the edge. he was marrying this lovely woman and he didn’t even understand the simple concepts eileen was illustrating? she was speaking simply, likely to ease castiel’s ‘difficulty’ understanding some of the more complex phrases, and her soon to be husband can’t understand that? better yet, he makes a fucking joke of it?

castiel knows it’s not his place, it’s not, it’s really not, “you’re marrying her and you don’t understand sign language to a level you can understand this conversation? and you don’t have the decency to realize her dress is her choice and does not concern you at this moment?” castiel snaps, the couple looking at him like deer in headlights.

suddenly, eileen starts laughing, this explosive giggle that makes dean’s lip twitch and then he’s laughing too, and castiel’s all left out, unsure what’s just happened.

“oh god, dude, wow,” dean says, signing ‘wow’ along with his words, “eileen and i are not getting married, shit,” he continues, laugher still creeping through his words.

eileen hits dean on the shoulder, adding, “he’d be lucky to have me, but no, i am marrying his brother, sam. dean is the best man and decided sam wasn’t allowed to see the dress but wanted to try to help me understand the seamster. i’m very glad you sign, because dean is clearly shit at it,” she laughs again, leaning on a nearby table because apparently it’s that funny.

“i am very sorry for my assumption,” castiel says, “i am glad you can find humor in my stupidity.”

eileen winks, elbowing dean. “this one could teach you some manners, honey. look at him, apologizing for his mistakes,” eileen trails off, giving dean a look and giggling when dean frantically signs back, ‘sorry no here dress brother say.’

“wow, your sign is patchy, but i commend you for trying,” castiel says, and eileen laughs again, clearly amused with castiel.

‘you’re very kind and funny. would you like dean’s number?’ eileen signs, dean blissfully unaware of his soon to be sister in law’s meddling.

“i could teach him a thing or two,” castiel replies, both in sign and verbally, making dean’s head snap up.

“what?” dean asks, “what’s going on?”

“my name is castiel,” castiel says, “are you free thursday for a coffee?”

so i found a new blorbo CHARLES SUN and…

*feral* the show is so good, excellently paced and well-acted…. plus, it has all the stuff we enjoy the most:

whump, crime family, family drama, daddy issues (MAJOR!), mommy issues (MAJOR!), well-done action sequences, trauma, “protect the family” sense of duty mindset, lots of baking (by my poor blorbo charles as a coping mechanism), sibling issues, oldest son vs youngest son dynamic (- two brothers, who have both spent their lives competing for attention, approval, and freedom; in their own different ways -), conflicted tortured oldest son, did i mention major daddy/mommy issues and PLENTY OF THE GOOD OL’ EMOTIONAL WHUMP.

and oh their troubled mother is played by THEE MICHELLE YEOH !!!!!!! ✨MOTHER✨

ahhhh charles, his father brainwashed him, turned him into a ruthless killer and put him through so much trauma. my man just wants to have a normal life, bake pastries etc and reconnect with his mother and brother. like look at him (HE NEEDS A HUG AND SEVERAL CHURROS)

hey can we please talk about Sam's habit of quickly forming pretty intense relationships

sam immediately forms strong relationships with people whenever he's left alone (cuz he has abandonment issues ur honour). we literally see it time and time again, from his major love interests: jess, ruby, amelia, blurry wife, to one off episode characters like jake and ava (if you really squint, i think he saw her as a potential bestie but he saw all the psychic kids that way so)

he was gonna propose to jess, he had been looking at rings

after 2? years of dating. 3 at most

him and ruby spent all their time together? im pretty sure

moved in with amelia in less than a year

marriage to bloody wife seemed very quick

he immediately imprints on all the psychic kids, they are just like him!!! and they are in this together!
