#hyper specific plants stuff

Current hyper specific plotline in my head:

Specific brand of equipment that everyone in a specific field bought because it was “top of the line” turns out to be faulty and all end up causing fires of varying sizes

Because of the fires, all these people who work with this specific plant have lost theirs, and now everyone thinks the plant is extinct

After a little bit of time has passed, one character (a Vulcan) remembers their Human friend, who also owns a plant of that species, declining to get that equipment from that brand because of a “gut feeling”

They know this friend loses track of time easily and can go months without speaking to another person because they don’t realize how long it’s been, so it’s likely their Human friend has no idea that all these fires even happened and it’s very likely that their plant is still in perfect health

So they go over for a visit and find out that not only is their plant still perfectly healthy, but they also have other healthy plants of the same species that they have no problem sharing with their friend

The Vulcan is so overwhelmed that this specific (Vulcan) plant isn’t actually extinct and that their friend gave them some without a second thought that they actually hug them…which causes a loud cracking noise and their friend being like “Vulcan affection is dangerous”

But hey, they’re gonna accept their friend’s affection as long as they’re willing to give it, so they just hug them back tightly and ignore the fact that it feels like they can’t breathe

(Also that Vulcan is never gonna badmouth “gut feelings” again)

Shifters with animal mannerisms, I think is my favorite thing to write about and see written about

Like yes, give me wolf shifters who lean forward when they want to play

I want to see shifters that rub on their favorite people because they want their scent on that person

Shifters who seem to have more control over their auricular muscles (the muscles that move the ear)

Bird shifters that collect shiny objects and keep a LOT of blankets and pillows on their beds

Actually, pretty much every shifter loves having a 'nest' for lack of a better term

It's almost instinct to make piles of soft things for their mates or family to rest on. Wolves in the wild don't really nest, but they do keep dens, and I think most shifters like stuff like pillow forts/blanket piles/mattress floors (trust me they're cool) because it can mimic the feeling of being protected that dens provide

Shifters (specifically fox, hyena, and wolves) vocalize a lot even in human form. They can be very loud but it's mostly in their shifted form that they do it

Hyena shifters that laugh like hyenas do and love it

Fox shifters that have silver tongues and are insanely good at getting around or out of sticky situations

Shifters that love laying on top of or around their mates because it feels like protecting them.

Shifters that when shifted (sometimes when they're not) bite and gnaw on each other

Bear shifters that go looking for new plants that they might be able to eat, and identifying ones that shouldn't

SHIFTERS THAT CAN DETECT THINGD LIKE BLOOD PRESDURE AND HEART RATE AND BDJADGEUEBEHD

Shifters that go into the medical profession because they can catch things earlier than even a lot of media machinery (I could yap about shifters being medics for so long)

Shifters who subconsciously start trying stuff like deep pressure therapy when they can sense their mates panicking

Shifters who have hyper sensitive necks and lower backs and hate being touched there unexpectedly

shifters who get zoomies in both forms and will shift when it happens in human form because sometimes the feeling of that energy being pent up feels like pins and needles under their skin

Shifters who love getting their hair pet or scratched (stuff like back scratches, arm scratches, anything like that just feels good) it makes them melt every time

I just realize there's a lot of potential with Dainix reacting to the wildlife outside of the desert.

Like, his primary expertise is in monsters/creatures that pose a danger to ppl, especially ones from the desert. He probably never had reason to (or even many resources for) learning about most non-desert lifeforms before.

I'm saying I wanna see him encounter smn and having to figure out if this is a Dangerous Thing or Harmless If You Leave It Alone. Which plants are fine if you brush against them like grass and which ones to avoid as much as possible like poison ivy. Suspicious of creatures that look like smn deadly but are actually fairly harmless. Or not recognizing the signs of a specific animal nearby and having to fight smn twice his size with little to no warning. Overall needing to be hyper-vigilant of basically everything bc he's in extremely unfamiliar territory.

Do you think that when he joined the Floof Squad he was probably super relieved to have allies that were used to the environment and could help fill him in on what to look out for? That not only would he be on a team again and therefore survival would be much easier, but also that they'd be willing to help him with the process of adapting to the setting? Like his discussion with Erin about Helm, but with what they'd consider normal animals stuff. Add in some friendly teasing when he reflexively points his spear at a creature only to find out it's completely harmless but hey in his defense it looks almost exactly like a monster he's fought that spits venom at its targets' eyes, and you've got so much fun stuff to explore in that part of the dynamic.

Idk I just love exploring Dainix's experiences adapting to outside the desert (as anyone who's read The Exiled And The Outcast can tell lol) and it's something that I think has the potential to be really interesting and cool :)

Reddie headcanons ♡

- Rich refers to the act of kissing / making out as "sucking face" and Eddie absolutely despises it. They'll be at one of their homes, or in the clubhouse, and Richie will casually just go "Hey, Eds, you wanna suck face?" or "Suck my face, will ya, hot stuff?"

- Eddie likes staring at bugs but will freak out the moment one comes near him. Richie, on the contrary, has no problem picking bugs up or even having them crawl on him. Which is why, sometimes, when they're in the Barrens, Rich will catch Eddie staring at whatever bug or trying to chase after one to see it. He will gladly grab the bug so his boyfriend can admire it for as long as he wants.

- After they got together, Richie constantly joked about how he got with only one of the two loves of his life; the first being Eddie, the second being Sonia. This genuinely made Eddie feel bad and Richie had never felt guiltier than when Eddie told him how uncomfortable the joke made him.

-Richie is more sensitive to temperature than Eddie, and his hands are (almost) always cold.

-Most of Eddie's music taste is based off Richie's recommendations.

-This is canon in the novel, but I think it's not talked about much; Eddie has an amazing sense of direction. He seldom, if ever, gets lost, but Richie... It's better he doesn't walk around without a map.

-Though Richie has a very poor sense of location, his sense of time is unbelievably accurate. They'll be hanging out in the Quarry and ask what time it is, no clocks in sight, and just by the position of the sun or his own perception, Richie will be able to accurately tell what time it is.

- Richie was a boy scout like Stan during his early childhood, so he knows a lot of basic survival skills, like how to build a fortress from scratch, what plants are safe to consume or how to start a fire. This has saved their asses sometimes.

- Eddie likes sports and he's actually pretty good at them, but Sonia doesn't want him being physically active because she thinks Eddie is "fragile". Richie knowing this will specifically invite Eddie over to play whatever he wants or run track.

- Richie loves Star Wars, Eddie prefers Star Trek.

- Richie loves coffee, but drinking it will make him hyper as well as give him tachycardia. Eddie doesn't mind coffee, but is concerned that consuming caffeine will damage his cardiac / nervous system, so he avoids it as much as possible. Instead he opts for herbal teas, which he gladly shares with Richie.

- Rich loves to drink and will drink often. Eddie can drink, but he's hesitant because of the negative effects etanol can have on the human body. And, sometimes, when Rich gets shitfaced, Eddie will scold him and remind him and remind him of all the terrible, terrible things that will happen to him if he continues to drink that much.

- After having read Romeo and Juliet in school, Richie would visit Eddie's home and go "O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?" from outside his window.

- Richie can't control his mouth, Eddie can't control his expressions.

- Richie once gifted Eddie a pillbox that he thought he might like and Eddie hasn't used another one since.

- Eddie treasures each and every one of Richie's notes / letters / drawings and keeps them hidden inside a box or something so Sonia won't find them.

- Richie had braces at some point, and Eddie wanted braces because of that.

- Eddie probably likes kissing Richie more than Richie himself likes kissing Eddie, but he'll never admit to it.

- Richie will make sure, year after year, that Eddie's birthday is celebrated to the best of his abilities because he knows Sonia doesn't do much for him on that day.

- They were the first to sign each other's year book.

ATLA! Avatar au ramblings, cause I need them out of my skull:

[Disclaimer: this is basically just Avatar, but if there were benders. there are no rules. god is dead. I wear his crown. we go by my rules now, even if they break atla canon. canon is a suggestion now]

each clean tends to be made up of benders from two of the elements, people from the clan can carry both traits, even if one is dormant.

for example, the Omatikaya are made up of earth and airbenders. both Mo'at and Eytukan were airbenders, yet their daughter Neytiri was an earth bender, and Sylwanin was also an air bender.

Humans are rarely benders, at least compared to the Na'vi, as the destruction of Earth led to the loss of benders, but when they are benders, they have only been fire benders. this includes avatars. the RDA specifically targets and recruits fire benders.

Fire benders are rare on Pandora. very few clans produce fire benders. and with the destruction the humans and the RDA have caused, fire benders are almost taboo, especially in the forest clans that faced the brunt of their efforts.

Jake is a fire bender, he is heavily disconnected from the idea of spirit, fluidity, or nature within his bending. it gets better as he lives with the Omatikaya, but old habits die hard, so he'll ways be a messy fire user, and his fighting style is messy, MMA like, the reckless assault of a soldier and not an art. he doesn't truly incorporate his bending into his day to day life either, it's like a gun to him, not a part of his spirit and being.

Neytiri is an earth bender (and in my world, they can bend plants, because fuck you). while she is known for her combat on Ikran back, she is just as deadly in face to face combat, as she is a heavily offensive fighter, and she will punch you in the throat with a dagger she pulled from the earth. but in a more casual day to day, she uses it to get around the forest, to weave and craft, to cook even. she makes something solid like stone and wood look as fluid as air, and something as delicate as plant life look deadly and jagged. and as a healer she uses it not only to cultivate and refine healing plants, and even bone bend.

a fire bender and an earth bender, have 3 kids:

Neteyam is an earth bender, he presented quite young, maybe 5 or 7, and he takes after his mommy, with the added aggression of Jake's fire bending attitude. he inherited less of his mother's likeness to plant bending, but can magma bend extremely well for his age, keeping that same fluidity. but as much of his life is taken up by combat and training, he's also a crafter and has plenty of little siblings bringing him rocks and asking him to make them beads, so he's also doing a lot of that. (he has attempted to bend a tree fort into existence and fell through it and on his ass, trust, I was there)

Tuk is an air bender. she's only presented around 7, and only in little gusts, so she hasn't cultivated an exact style, she can only really play with little gusts of air, or go gliding about on her glider, but only when a sibling is with her, in case she falls. she's also just an agile little thing.

Lo'ak (for angst value) doesn't present for a long while, he makes it to nearly 13 before presenting, and he ends up being a fire bender.... which did not help his self image, in any manner. not only is he the demon blooded son, the one that never lives up to Jake and Neteyam, who looks like a freak, but now he's a fire bender too? just shoot him now.

Kiri, the child of Grace, who was not a bender, and Eywa, is an air bender (she's already Pandora Jesus, I'm not putting her through being the Avatar as well). she presented at 5, it never seemed like a big thing to her. Neytiri found her floating and that was that. she is heavily connected to her spirit, so she can astral project, and her world, which makes her very hyper sensitive to her surroundings. she uses her air bending to carry stuff, be more spry (in the comics she tends to fall behind her siblings, even Spider, who is much smaller than her. her air bending gives her the leg up to help her keep up). even after she gains an ikran, she tends to go gliding or just. floating. for funsies.

that leaves my son, my baby boy, Spider:

he is Eywa's first Sky child, her golden boy, and he is the bridge between humans and Na'vi— he is Na'vi in all but body, and human in all but soul —so she knows if anyone can soothe the tensions ripping her world apart, it will be him.

he starts out as a fire bender.

no one is shocked, even though he gave off his first sparks as a toddler. his parents had both been fire benders— Quaritch had mastered combustion, and Paz was known to give off smoke when pissed —this gets him even more ostracized than he was in canon from the get go. no one wants much to do with the fire bending son of Quaritch. no one can truly trust him, even as a child.

who's to say when he will become the wildfire everyone assumes he will become? who's to say he's not dangerous, even as a child? especially without the help of a fire bending master to aid him (could Jake do it? yes. do I think Jake would commit to that long term? absolutely not).

despite this, the Sully kids are his siblings, from the moment they meet. he's their big brother, watching out for them, promising his flames as their shield, forever and ever. no one will ever hurt them. that they don't need to be scared of him, because he'd burn himself to a crisp before burning them. and his will is so strong, he's never accidentally burned them like he has others. his spirit knows better. it's strong enough to render the heat to nothing.

so the second Spider can leave the confines of Hellsgate and go out into Eywa's jungle, he is more than pleased to do so. he isn't judged there. the animals don't flinch away from him or stare at him like they're seeing secrets from the future.

he bends in secret, first with fire, just dancing a flame over his hands, slowly gaining trust in himself and his control, and developing his own style of bending, one similar to the airbenders of the clan, as that's the closest thing he has to go off of.

and if he has dreams of Toruk like creatures, showing him the art of fire, when he falls asleep in the grassy clearings of Eywa's world, he won't question it.

and when he hears whispers of 'try it' when he thinks of attempting to bend a different element, even just pretending, child's play, he listens, because he trusts the soft voice in his ear.

he bends air first. while not rare, those who bend air are considered special, connect to the spirit of Eywa. it's a sign. well, it would be had anyone paid enough mind to the boy to see it.

air bending comes naturally. he'd been watching those around him air bend for years. he'd mimicked their movements while playing with his siblings. it feels right. like it was what he was destined for (Eywa just needed time to manipulate his soul). it keeps him alive in the jungle, not only cause it allows him to take riskier paths and such, but also because it allows him without an exopack.

earth comes next. again. he'd watched earth benders for years. longed to manipulate the forest like them. to create instead of destroy. wanted to heal instead of heal. wanted to use brute forced over his flames, because his flames were looked at with fear, while the other boys trained their bending and were cheered on. he can work plants as if it was as easy as breathing. weaving them together into forts and hide outs and supplies.

water is last, and seeing as it's the opposite of his birth element, he has no mentor, and not even a faint clue on how it works, it is his weakest. but he has an affinity for healing, even if it only works on little cuts and scrapes, maybe a bruise if he's lucky.

by twelve he is mostly living on his own in the woods. it's near impossible to keep him in the compound anymore. he's not interested.

no one has any idea what he is. Spider can't even fully believe it himself and all's down spirals of thinking he's giving into his human greed, somehow (don't blame him, he's just a little guy, a dumb little guy who doesn't know maths, and grew up around people who all but hated him. let him have a dumb dumb complex).

the only people who have a slight idea are his siblings; he bends too much on instinct. he reached out to catch his siblings, shifting the ground beneath them just a tad, or shooting a vine around their ankle or using a swift puff of wind to stop their descent. he heals small cuts while thumbing over them, rolling a little bead of water on the broken or bruised skin. he brings them up into elaborate tree forts.

his siblings only keep from saying something because of the look of pure terror he gets on his face when he catches himself.

as time goes on, he becomes more open with them. by 15 it's common knowledge amongst them who and what Spider is, but he still won't let them tell the clan. but he has Kiri and Neteyam to help him with his air and earth bending, as they can regurgitate their own lessons back to him, which makes him stronger over all, even if he continues to use his own methods.

Jake and Neytiri only find out the night he was taken; when he gave his all to protect his baby siblings from the recoms, all fire benders, and exposed the level of power he held... and was subsequently taken for.

and then he gets adventures with his papa and the squad. that he is so so so so so happy about (kill him).

bonus info that doesn't fit into the vaguely timeline coherent ramblings above:

Spider is a healer by nature, it's in his heart and soul. so while he trains himself for combat, it's simply natural for him to want to fix things, to help people, to give himself and his power over if it means he can soothe one ache in his people. so Spider learns all of the healing arts he can. he develops his own even. refines bone and blood bending to heal people. uses the scientific understanding of things that he picked up as a human to make better medicines, etc.

speaking of blood/bonebending. my boy is going to snap at some point during his captivity and fuck some people up with that, because he knows the dogs of the RDA deserve it. perhaps it's after Neteyam's death that triggers it. or maybe the Tulkun hunt/attack on the Ta'unui. it's something, something that has him going in a carnage spree.

he will train with Mo'at and Ronal when they find out about him. Mo'at will knowingly pass him over — she knew early in he was special, but knew, in terms of his learning, the forest was not his place, for there was too much pain. but she would watch out for him as she had his whole life, in her own ways — while Ronal will become one of his footholds in life. a place where he will always feel like he can drift back to.

I wonder what the powers/flaws of each Chrysos Heir is?

Like, we know some. Aglaea, Tribios, Mydei, and Castorice need no explaining.

Phainon canoncally has "nothing," which I press X to doubt.

The others like Cipher have yet to appear, so it's anyone's guess wtf they have going on, maybe Cipher has like, "people believe her no matter how outlandish" or something who knows, I sure don't.

Hyacine has nothing confirmed, but in a memory fragment you can find at the Grove, it has people saying there was actual genuine sunlight during their sessions with her, so probably something to do with that.

My theory that she will be Princess Yue'd into being the new sun grows.

Naxy... well, I dunno. Most of the stuff he has going for him is either from his alchemy or him literally dying/being dead, so not really something he was born with.

Right now the only thing I can think for him is that his senses are like hyper enhanced.

No real evidence but the very first thing he does upon getting to the Holy City was to complain about the noise, which he does multiple times actually, and there is a tidbit you can find where it states that apparently there is only one specific water temperature he can tolerate.

It's very much reaching it but him having enhanced human senses would be a cool contrast to Aglaea, who lacks one of her human senses (eyesight) and instead has like a 6th divine sense (her threads).

They do be having that whole "humanity vs divinity" thing going on, so his flaw being paralled to hers would be neat.

But who knows, it could also just be that he can understand everyone, and by everyone I do mean everyone, even plants.

Maybe it's both! Castorice has her whole talk to the dead thing too aside the death touch as well, so really this is anyone's game.

My friend and I are creating a fanfic and we’d like some advice.

So I saw a while ago the meme about the smallest dragon with 1 single coin as a hoard as well as the tumblr story about it and I thought……….. why not make it ghoap? We made it a fantasy incorporated with humans (not to be mistaken as a hybrid au, this is full on supernatural au with some humans) It kinda has been an add/adhd brainrot story where we just indulged the chaos. By no means are my friend and I done writing yet and we will hopefully post on AO3. We won’t spoil the plot yet. (Yes it’s brainrot and hyper focusing but it’s fun) Also my friend told me to say I’m the one responsible for angst bits.

someone asked me what constitutes northeast Georgia given the shape of the state is sort of smooshed in at the top right-hand corner, so here is an opportunity for me to get excited about northeast Georgia, which is more a geologic distinction than anything bc it's about which counties have got the blue ridge mountains in them, basically.

things I learned reading this wiki article: "The Adult Swim animated series Squidbillies takes place in Dougal County, a fictional county located in the North Georgia mountains" weird of them to invent a county given that we have an actual real county called LUMPKIN COUNTY but who am I to criticize

it's like a very specific area of the state mainly bc the isolation caused by the mountains meant that southern Appalachia was quite culturally isolated for a long time. :) so there's a lot of really hyper specific cultural AND hyper specific ecological stuff going on here! we got such a variety of plants and animals and fungi. up in Rabun county they get more rain than almost anywhere else in the country because the mountains form a storm trap and Rabun county has these areas that are tiny microclimates of temperate rainforests. it is pretty much the coolest thing. it's a very neat area of the country!

also: yes, we have a famously stupid quantity of counties in Georgia and it is truly unnecessary but also kind of funny.

The other characters aren't gonna be part of the fic because... I never read the manga but ik bits of spoilers from it... soooo imma skip them till the anime introduces them... yeeet imma add some of the teeny tiny bits I was spoiled from the manga!

My spelling sucks ik and I'm a faster writer, so... I tend to make a lot of misspelling stuff as I type fast. (It's not ADHD or anything special... I'm just a hyper person in real life... hehe)

The big man himself

Sakura Haruka, an outsider, but everyone in this town accepted him as family as quickly as Sakira pummeled five dudes in an instant whiff.

What the hell is this town...?

His thoughts are often reserved and well kept to himself. Even as he walked through the hallways, he noticed familiar faces greeting him as grade captain and respectful gestures. Sure Sakura can take in most and yet...

"Omg! He's the first year grade captain who beat shishitoren second in command!"

"His look is so cool!"

A small blush crept up to his cheeks, he just grunted in response, leaving them mid-praise towards him.

It's almost like an attack mechanism to Sakura, like compliments are his weakness, and the opponent strikes it mercilessly till he's crumbled.

Honestly, Sakura hates that about himself.

"Sakura-san! We need your help!"

Hearing Nirei's voice in front, he looked up, his bangs lifting at the sight of Suo and Nirei...

And Sugishita???

"What the hell do u want?" Sakura grumbled.

Suo's calmly allows to explain themselves, "Now Sakura-kun, us first years have a job to do... its specifically by Hiragi-san"

Straightening himself, Sakura nods seriously, "OK... sure"

Suo stares for a moment before chuckling into his hand, this made Sakura frown, "What's so funny?"

"Oh, nothing... I just thought how cute it is that you actually listen to your senpais..."

Sakura got flustered and began to sputter angrily, "Q-Quiet! I don't respect... well, uh, I m-mean... ugh, never mind. What the heck do we need to do anyway?"

Suo noticed in amusement how Sakura faltered in defeat, then he replied, "Oh nothing... Sugishita-kun and Hiragi-san over-watered one of Umemiya-san's precious tomato plants..."

Sakura blinked.

Eh?

"And... whats the issue?"

Sugishita snapped, grabbing Sakura by the shirt, "It's a big problem dumbass!"

Sakura gritted his teeth in fury, "Who you calling dumbass?! Dumbass!"

Sup calmly separated them and began to run over what they should do, "So... the big issue is... they are a special gift from his -I quote 'Kotoha-chan'"

Now that made sense. Sakura pinched the bridge of his nose... no wonder they dragged him to the roof when Umemiya isn't around.

"Now what should we do?" Sakura asked folding his arms.

"We have to distract Umemiya-san, and make him forget about that plant" Nirei said, sweating buckets throughout their whole conversation. Sakura stumbled in surprise. He really forgot Nirei was actually there...

(Ps. I did, actually... teehee ^w^)

"Oh..." Sakura said blankly, putting two and two together. He turned now, "So good luck... its not my problem anyway"

"Waiiit!" Nirei clung yo his jacket, "You are out grade captain! Dont abandon us pls!!"

"Sakura-kun, we told u the story so... basically you are involved" suo shrugged nonchalantly, Sugishita glared daggers as if he's blackmailing Sakura, "You better help..."

"I could care less!"

Before anyone could pass out any words through their conversation. Sakura heard the door on the rooftop open, Umemiya came.

Oh shit.

"Ah! My cute little underclassmen!" Umemiya rushed towards the group with joy and then without warning ruffling everyone's hairs.

He specifically embaraced Sakura, showing he's a favourite.

"Ahhh! Sakuraaa" a childish cry of bliss came from the leader's lips, as he almost squashed the first year.

Sugishita glared and growled like a rottweiler, Suo claimed he's a jealous puppy further angering him.

"Well, well! What brings you lot to my humble paradise!"

Sakura squirmed out of his grip, grumbling, "Trying to protect that stupid plant of -hmph!"

He forgot... he forgot... Sakura luckily closed his own mouth before digging his own grave... and yet... Umemiya looks like he already got a shovel close to him.

"Hmm..." Umemiya smirked, now flicking his forehead, "Sakura.... When you lie, I can tell that your ear turns red"

He got flustered "I-i do not! I'm not lying!"

Sakura noticed Nirei seemed anxious, Suo with a calm and an unapologetic smile and Sugishita totally ignoring him. They all abandoned him... he was bait after all...

"Oh no~ Sakura-kun," Umemiya sang playfully, suddenly stepping forward with incredible speed, "You shouldn't shift your attention to something irrelevant when your opponent is right in front of you"

Sakura gasped when he felt Umemiya grab his waist instantly. Without realising he was pinned to the wall, he slid down when those fingers made a funny sensation over his sides...

Wait... is this... tickling?

Resist! Resist! Resist damn it! Come on, Haruka! U have to!

Sakura felt his own thoughts fighting the urge to laugh as mad fingers scurried up his ribcage instantly. He struggled and kicked in reflex, surprisingly arching is back like a flexible sprig when Umemiya skillfully tickled his lower ribs.

"G-gah!" A squawk left him. While Suo and the rest awkwardly saw what was happening, the eye patch guy had to comment, "Oh wow... Sakura-kun are you ticklish?"

Umemiya grinned at that, "Oh, he is... how cute, little bro... but be careful. Your big bro is a biiiig tickle monster!"

Sakura suddenly jolted when Umemiya traced his waist beneath the shirt. The tingling sensation on his bare skin was insane. Its perhaps because Sakura never felt tickling before that he actually felt it like something so strong and unbearable.

How embarassing... he's giggling like a four year old.

"Shihihihihit! Hahahaha, whyhehehe whhhyy hahaha??!" Sakura squirmed, now twisting on his stomach, trying to escape.

Why is this man even tickling him?

"Why?" Umemiya grabbed his sides, pulling him closer to him, "Because you are obviously hiding something from me... aaaand... your are too cute!"

"Dahahahahamn ihihiiiiHIHIHIT! NOHO!" Sakura's laughter kicked an octave when Umemiya traced his armpits - not even tickle - just gentle featherlight tickling he never expected to tickle so much!

But...it feels good... it's the first time someone ever touched him so playfully...

Not cruel jabs that sting like poker sticks or burning hits from harsh punches... just mild subtle ticklish jolts like electric shocks.

"Suo, Nirei, can you grab him for a moment?"

Hearing this, Sakura snapped into reality. Huh? Why? Why are they restraining him?

Suo grabbed his wrists up above his head, the warm concrete floor beneath him, giving his wishes before his doomsday, Nireo sitting on his shins... and Umemiya on the side with a wide grin.

"I would've resorted to other easier methods, but I guess you like being tickeld. Eh Sakura?"

Blush, Sakura yelped, "N-no! Obviously not! Ugh, y-you bastard... and -" Sakura turned to the other three."Are you guys ditching me????"

Suo gives a gentle grin, "Sorry, but you are strong enough to handle this unlike us, plus..." Suo gives a teasing scribble under Sakura's armpit, making the latter jolt in surprise, "Umemiya-san said you like it"

Sakura exploded, "I NEVER SAID THAT -AAAH!"

Umemiya launched his tickles instantly before Sakura could express anything. Sakuta couldn't even focus his priorities as multiple spots are being targeted.

"Saakuraaa~, what's the juicy secret you're keeping from me?"

Gosh... the others guys are supposed to be on his side! Did they all deviate from the plot just to mess with Sakura? Unbelievable!

Sakura panicked with a squeak when Umemiya kept lingering around his stomach. He felt a plunging sensation in his gut as Umemiya poked his naval.

"D-Doho nohohot pohohohoke thahahat!" Sakura shrieked, now bucking himself tryinf to shake them off but they all remained resilient.

"Wow, Sakura-san, you really are sensitive" Nirei unconsciously squeezed his kneecaps making it worst despite his feigned innocence.

Sugishita watched with an unreadable expression his face was so judgemental, and Sakura hoped it didn't mean 'cute' to the taller guy.

Suo leaned towards Umemiya now, not even bothering to lower his voice through Sakura's booming laughter, "His armpits seem pretty sensitive too, boss"

It's bad... though Sakura has never been tickled before, his alert senses are tingling mad. Its bad...!

"Oh...?" Umemiya slowly crawled his fingers up the boney ribs and finally into the light muscular armpits, "Here? Is Sakura sensitive under there?"

Squeal. To say Sakura let out such an embarrassing sound was not a lie. He wanted to crawl it yo a rock and die right now for making such an absurd noise like a squeal.

"EEEEEH! NOOO! IHIHIHI GIVE I GIVE HAHAHA SLOHOHOHOW DOHOHOWN!"

"Ehh? Already? Wow, that didn't take long?" Suo teased, and Umemiya winked back, stopping gradually as he persisted, "Tell me, kid~"

"Ahahahahaha ohoohohohok ohohohok! Ihihihits yohohour duhuhuhuhumb plahahahant thehehe ohohone Kohohohotahaha gahahave yahahaha!"

Sakura confessed... all it took was a tickle to his armpits to spill the milk.

Umemiya stopped instantly. Uh oh... all of that may be fun and games but Nirei realised that they were suppose to keep him distracted not make Sakira confess...

Umemiya sigh, scratching the back of his head, "Well I wanted to make Sakura confess about liking to be tickled... I almost forgot why I started this..." he smiled now ruffling Sakura's messed up hair and his still blushing face flowing more red.

"Well im glad you kept your comradeship safe sweet brother" Umemiya grinned.

Sakura blushed to the tips of his ears, huffing, "Not like I did anythjnf but be a victim..."

It was all OK...

"So... what's this about my plant?"

Or... It wasn't

"Did I hear you say it was Kotoha's plant?" Umemiya's smile darkened, sweet to bitter ...its bad now.

Sakura gulped but suo being the rescuer instantly grabbed everyone and scurried away before the leader of Borfurin could catch up.

Sakura couldn't say he hated his day but he really wondered what happened to the tomato plant Hiragi said he was gonna replace...

No one will know the depths Hajime Umemiya would go to cherish what Kotoha gave him.

Sakura shivered... a bigger tickle monster is lurking inside the leader.

Haha I'm gonna be honest, she's one of my "design on the fly" characters so she doesn't have any preliminary concept sketches, sorry! I don't tend to do those much for background characters, I only do sketches for 'extras' like that if I'm specifically doing a study for future reference (ex. like when I sketched out Artemis' house layout because her house is going to be a recurring environment and I needed to make sense of it before I could continue drawing it LMAO). It just keeps me from getting bogged down on nitpicky pre-production stuff that keeps me from actually completing episodes, y'know? That Artemis house post is basically what happens when I get way too hyper-fixated and that's why I generally try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary LMAO I like keeping things simple enough to leave things up to people's imaginations (and not make things too unnecessarily detailed) but not too simple that it lacks foundation. In the case of the nymphs, I've been basing them off different plant life found in Greece. Definitely trying to give them more variety than what they have in LO!

That said, I'm currently winding down from a long day at a convention and I need to do something that isn't 'work' so here are some I drew up real quick! All I really planned around her while drawing her on the fly was her look, which is based off daffodils (her hair tie is meant to resemble the daffodil's stamen) and the brief look at her personality as the more experienced staff member. She's very much the "tired of this shit" employee who doesn't put up with a whole lot, not even from the Kings. NGL I can totally picture her being that waitress who double fists energy drinks and cigarettes for breakfast before her shift LOL

Claire Headcanons for my soul

-she still likes alternative fashion from her time working at a piercing/tattoo shop when she was younger, even if she dosent dress that way as much now

-her boyfriend was a painter and she worked at a tattoo place so I like to think she does art/designs in her free time and likes to doodle things, specifically those super detailed drawings of eyes and plants (thinking maybe sometimes she would stop by the garden to talk to sun and sketch some of the plants growing there

-she believes in zodiac signs and goes to psychics but if she was in the modern day she’d be one of those crystal girlies

-(partially canon) she has insomnia and night terrors from being kidnapped, and regularly is scared of falling asleep because of it

-she is hyper independent when taking care of herself for a while due to having to be dependent on others so much while pregnant, and ends up overworking herself or biting off more than she can chew with things because she’s scared of feeling helpless again

-from her making Aaron things while she was kidnapped I like to think she learned to crochet from her mother who also indirectly got her interested in art/tattoos,

-I like to thing she knows how to work with wire art too and would make her own jewelry when she was younger

-she would practice on herself and has a lot of poorly done little stick and pokes, and before their relationship became strained she offered to give Charlie one when they got home

-due to how protective Kate is of Claire I like to think they connect on having to be victimized by men/having struggles as women, and she confides in Kate when she has issues (I like to think her, Kate and Sun will talk with each other and give advice on relationships as well as just swapping stories and stuff)

-less a headcanon and more things I’d like to explore when writing fics/drawing her, Claire and the horrors of motherhood/pregnancy and stuff is something I think about all day, she was going to give Aaron up for adoption before being stranded, while she is pregnant and even after, people again and again only see her as an extension of the baby, ignoring who she is entirely and only seeing her for what is in her body, to the point the others were planning on killing her just so they could have her baby

like she loves Aaron, she really does, but how scary it must be for everyone to only really see you as part of a baby you weren’t even planning on keeping

Belladonna

She’s a very social and friendly berry. Belladonna works at a small cosmetics store in her village. A village where quite a few poisonings and unexplainable deaths happen…

Bella-Donna also known as “Deadly Nightshade”, “Beautiful death” or “Devil’s berry” is a highly toxic plant. Most parts of it are dangerous to humans and many animals, from its roots to its leaves and its dark berries

Bella-Donna poisoning is usually fatal, and can cause serious side effects such as blurred vision, fever, fast heartbeat, inability to urinate or sweat, hallucinations, spasms, mental problems, convulsions, coma, and many others.

Now onto the character herself. She’s a very hyper and cheerful character at first, however her demeanour often slips into almost rabid states. (Similarly to the psychological effects the plant itself can have on people). Belladonna sells poisons alongside her cosmetic products, sometimes those are bought specifically as poisons by people who have someone special they need getting rid of but she also just, adds poisons into her products. Either to harm a specific target or just whoever is unlucky enough to pick the wrong makeup.

(Historically Bella-Donna has been used in cosmetics, namely to enlarge the pupils of women. Also it was famously used in the poison “Aqua Tofana” which was distributed as a cosmetics product)

Part 2 that’s not really a part 2 to the baking headcanons below

(Includes Aether, Mountain, Dewdrop, Swiss, Rain, Cirrus, Cumulus, and Sunshine)

(A lil bit of spice 🔥 in Dew and Swiss’s parts but nothing NSFW)

Aether:

- Goes back and forth between super hyper and dead asleep

- One minute he’s bouncing off the walls and the next he’s face down on the couch and out like a light

- Embodies that one Tiktok sound: “I’m alive! I’m dead! I’m watching TV! I’m looking at you!” yk the one

- Says “I kinda wanna go on a run” every like three minutes

- Always trying to wrestle with Mountain and Swiss

- Tires himself out on his own

- Ends up falling asleep on top of the ghoulettes but they’re totally ok with it cause he’s fuzzy and warm

- All four of them always have the best nights sleep like this

Mountain:

- Accidentally overdoes it sometimes so he gets a little too high

- Poor thing never remembers how much he ingests/smokes the night before so he doesn’t know what his limit is

- Gets really existential and internally freaks out a little bit

- Will sit on the ground in one spot and will not move from that spot for hours

- Forgets to breathe and blink sometimes (I hc that ghouls don’t really need to do stuff like that but they do it anyway because it makes them seem more human)

- When he doesn’t overdo it (which happens about half the time) he’s kind of the same as he usually is

- Pretty chill and calm, very go with the flow, doesn’t talk too much, but he feels more relaxed so he likes it

Dewdrop:

- Gets hyper like Aether but ACTUALLY goes for a run

- Around the common room

- And steps on everyone’s tails

- All of what little common sense he possesses goes straight out the window

- Gets the munchies BAD

- He’ll eat anything and everything he can get his claws on

- If he ends up craving something he’ll try to make it but it never turns out well (see: the mozzarella stick incident)

- HORNY MF

- Always trying to make out with anyone within his general vicinity

- Tends to go for Rain and Mountain specifically though

- Super touchy

- Will start making out with someone and feeling them up then falls asleep before it goes any further

- Then he gets SUPER cuddly and clingy

Swiss:

- Gets super giggly and laughs at everything

- Like tears streaming down his face, shoulders shaking type of laughing at everything

- Will plant himself anywhere and sits in the weirdest positions

- Like laying against a wall with his legs on the wall or on a chair but sort of backwards in sort of a sit up position

- HORNY MF part 2: electric boogaloo

- Will ALSO make out with anyone he can

- But somehow Swiss and Dew don’t always end up going for each other

- Doesn’t matter how big or small the other person/ghoul is, he CAN and WILL sit on their lap so he can grind on them (with consent of course)

- Makes out with them but it’s pretty messy

- Well, messier than usual ;)

Rain:

- Doesn’t have a clue what to do with himself when he’s high

- Sounds like the animate version of those shower thoughts posts

- Saying things like “At one point in your life, you were the youngest person in the world.” and “Do you guys ever think about how things aren’t on fire but fire is on things?”

- It blows Dew’s mind every time

- Swiss and Sunshine get annoyed at him for it

- Stares at himself in the mirror

- Like touches his face to study it

- Plays with his tail

- Whips it back and forth and tries to grab it as if he’s not the one moving it

Cirrus:

- She gets very relaxed and kind of like go with the flow vibes

- Also very touchy

- Likes to cuddle with Aether and Cumulus the most cause they’re the softest and super comfy

- But will cuddle with anyone really

- She’ll cuddle up to their sides and knead like a cat on their tummies

- Or just flop face first straight down on top of them and will stay like that for hours

- Also gets very smiley (not Swiss levels though but still) and looks so cute

- She’ll just grin at everyone and her ears will go floppy on the side of her head

- Just absolutely adorable

Cumulus:

- Soooooo sleepy

- Also will cuddle with anyone and everyone

- LOVES to play with people’s hair

- She loves to play with and braid Dew and Mountain’s hair and will spend hours doing that

- She likes to be on the bottom of cuddle piles most of the time but when she’s high she needs extra pressure

- Like she needs someone to SQUISH her

- Likes when Aether and/or Mountain lays on top of her

- Also super giggly

- Laughs at everything

- Normally her laugh is super light and airy but when she’s high she lets out cackles and snorts

- Which is also very adorable

- Falls asleep very easily

- Sleeps like a rock and literally nothing will wake her

Sunshine:

- Turns into a puppy

- Bounces off the walls

- Chases Dew around the common room

- They’ll play wrestle and team up against Aether

- Will chase her own tail for like 40 minutes straight

- Also gets the munchies kind of bad

- Makes really weird food combinations

- I’m talking like pickles and ketchup or apples and ranch

- Has a huge sweet tooth

- Likes to make some sort of variation of the pasta from Elf (iykyk)

- Eventually calms down and cuddles with Aether and the other ghoulettes

Oddly specific hobbies I think stardew valley characters would have

Sebastian- have you seen those custom doll videos? The ones where they like… rip the heads off Barbies and tear the hair out and re-build them? Scrub the faces off and repaint them? The intersection between artistic and morbid REALLY screams Seb to me I don’t know why.

I think Emily has a collection of succulents but she will only keep like, one category of them. She has every variety of a single type of succulent and that’s all she grows.

Look me dead in the eye and tell me Abigail doesn’t have the most baller isopod collection in the entire republic. I’m talking dairy cows, rubber duckies, the local native species, you name it. She has her own experimental crossbreeds. And this is no modifiedWalmart plastic container situation oh no, these guys live in massive glass terrariums with plants imported from each variety’s native location. She sells feet pics to buy isopod supplies. They live like kings.

Don’t ask me why but I feel like Shane was big into gravity falls while it was airing I feel like he was a big theory guy. He had a conspiracy board on his wall with red string and everything. He’s still chasing that high to this day (no one tell him about arg’s he would never recover)

The wizard is really good at Tetris. Like, ‘people you watch YouTube essays about’ good at Tetris, but he’s not a competitive person so he doesn’t go to events or anything.

Pam is a candy crush girlie buy my silence

I think Haley and Alex watched too many ghost hunting shows as kids and the moment they had their own money they bought like, a spirit box and an oujia board and whenever they’re bored and home alone they do like, seances n shit but they think it’s really silly so they giggle the entire time

Elliott collects shoes, like unwearable ass shoes. Huge platforms, glass heels, vintage boots, stuff that don’t match anything he owns. Just because he can.

Sam has the “adhd 10,000 hobbies curse” but the one that confuses people the most is his HUGE nail polish collection. He literally only ever paints his nails black for the ~rockstar vibes~ but he has this just BUCKET of polishes. He swatches them individually on those fake nails you see people use in nail art videos and he has a little notebook where he writes down how many coats it takes to be opaque, how long it took to dry, if the color matched how it looked in the bottle, etc. and then rates them on quality. it started as him trying to find a good set to gift Haley for her birthday but he ended up just becoming really hyper focused on it and now he has a literal catalogue of nail polish. It’s only a matter of time before he starts trying nail art to make use of them all but only time will tell if it sticks long enough for him to get good at it.

Naegamigiri/Naegirigami/Tonaegiri/ LIGHT BLATHER

Headcanon time! Let's go! These are ones that I don't have as much blabbering energy on but I still wanted to mention! Some might end up becoming bigger though if something clicks.

Makoto is that type of guy who looks at cooking content or just food content and get's hungry. He can't help it! They may be pixels but they look freaking delicious! Kyoko and Byakuya like to tease him about it, but they can be a tad susceptible too. It's mostly a situation when their guard's are down and they're already planning on getting something to eat soon. It's a rarity that either of them cave to the content though.

They've done some midnight movie nights some times. The plots and stories are always mystery flicks in which they tear into the plots. Kyoko always figures out who the killer is as well as Byakuya. Makoto does too though it can take him some time on some occasions due to it being late and the guy not being as nocturnal as the other two. On better movies, Byakuya's had slight arguments with Kyoko on how "That can't be!" He is always wrong when he has these debates with her and Kyoko teases him on never learning his lesson.

Kyoko and Makoto cuddle together. Sometimes, when Byakuya's feeling needy, he just stands in the background with some coffee, shaking his head. He also gives a similar response when they kiss but it's more of "If you keep kissing like that, I'm leaving this relationship." It's all a joke though. Byakuya's too attached and they all know it.

Kyoko only wears snap back style caps when she steals them from Makoto. Not that she wears them like, at all, but she'd only wear one if she snatched it from Makoto's junk.

The three take turns cooking. There is no designated cook as they all vary heavily with their cooking prowess. Sometimes two of them cook together or the three of them all pitch in. For instance, Kyoko is rather good chopping fruits and vegetables though does not trust herself boiling shit. Thus, Makoto is the one who boils water for pasta or makes sauces with the heir. Also, in regards to Kyoko cutting the food, she's usually fine though she sometimes needs some help due to the friction of pushing her hands sometimes being uncomfortable. She'd usually push through, but, because of Makoto and Byakuya, she's been treating herself with a bit more care. Speaking of Byakuya, he's got great wrist strength and is the guy that opens most of the jars and can whip some cream like a mad man. He can sometimes overdo it though which is why Makoto's his replacement. Not a good replacement but Kyoko's usually busy by that stage and her wrist strength isn't the best unfortunately. Her gloves also make it a bit hard to do that kind of stuff and the pressure of opening things with her hands sucks.

Makoto has tried to get Kyoko and Byakuya to do the pocky thing with him, but it was such a failure. Kyoko doesn't like pocky and Byakuya finds the idea of eating something then kissing to be kinda gross. Like, he will never get why people find the spaghetti scene from The Lady and the Tramp romantic or appealing in any capacity.

Kyoko and Byakuya nudge each other via kicks to get the other's attention or to just tease sometimes. Can be when they're standing or at a table. It's just kicks too, not an elbow or anything. It is a thing they specifically do like a secret language.

Makoto likes leaving silly little love notes around their living quarters. He usually does this when he knows he won't be home, has somewhere to go, or is going to be busy. He sometimes does this whenever though. As for the notes, they vary if they're on sticky notes or note cards. Most of them are positive affirmations though they can sometimes be hyper specific to one of them. Usually, if Kyoko sees one for Byakuya, she just smirks and goes on her way. When Byakuya sees one for Kyoko, he either leaves it there too, or he plants it closer, or just shoves it on her desk or in her face without saying anything before turning a heel all cockily.

Kyoko owns a good amount of cork boards that she sometimes lets Byakuya borrow when he's on a big rant on something and wants to visually show Makoto stuff. Makoto is a bit of a visual learner after all.

Hobby-wise, I have quite a lot. Byung Gyu loves your personality. He finds your elegant yet intimidating vibe is just you. He finds it beautiful when you open up to him for the first time. When you tell him everything about you. When you tell him how much you trust him and view him as more than just a friend. How he makes you feel safe and protected. Byung Gyu is always telling you just how much he loves you and everything about you. When you purposely leave things out, he never questions it and never asks. He was there to protect you. If you decide to take up his offer for a hug, his arms would wrap around you, holding you gently. It felt like a blanket when he hugs you. He knows you are not too keen on physical affection, but he takes whatever he can get when you let him. 

He remembers coming by to visit you one day after a mission and heard you singing. You had given him a key to your place but he was still a gentleman and knocked on your door. He heard your singing stop and you walked to the door. When you saw him standing there, a smile on his face, you grew shy before huffing and turning away from the door. He chuckled but entered the house, shutting the door behind him and making his way to the couch, his body sore and needing rest. Byung Gyu loves taking you out on little dates around the city, showing his favorite things he likes to. He loves watching you get excited. He always keeps an eye on how you are doing. Makes sure that you are drinking water, or eating something when you look hungry or thirsty. Byung Gyu is an attentive partner,even if you don’t take care of yourself and are always fussing and worrying over others, he worries about you and if you are doing ok. 

He finds your love for learning fascinating. How you could talk about fashion for hours at a time. He would just place his chin on his fists and listen to you talk all day. When you are done about a certain topic, he will ask you to talk about others, watching your eyes light up with happiness as you start talking about a different topic. When you guys are out shopping, and he knows the place has brighter colors more than the subdued darker colors, he places a pair of sunglasses on your face. Ones that are meant to tone down the colors. You find his caring side absolutely amazing. He’s always taking care of you no matter what. After leaving the store, what used to be a sunny afternoon, became blanketed in a dark sky. Rain began pouring from the dark clouds, a loud clap of thunder filling the air. Byung Gyu remembered you telling him how much you love thunderstorms and watched you run out into the rain and spin around as another thunderclap could be heard rolling across the sky. 

When he asked you what you hated the most, your immediate answer was math. You told him just how much you hated math and watched as he laughed before nodding his head along to what you were telling him. He noticed the animated way you spoke about your dislike of math and smiled as you continued. You told him that you were awful when it came to it and that you struggled more with math than normal (I feel that. I can’t do math to save my life.) When asking about a subject you enjoyed, you immediately told him that you loved science, specifically environmental science. You could just talk about the plants all day everyday. Byung Gyu loved listening to you talk about plants just like he loved when you talked about the other things you loved. Byung Gyu just loved listening to you talk in general.

When you told him about the time you ate a North Carolina Reaper burrito, you mentioned that you had to sign a waiver about it and it ultimately ended with you getting sick because of it. Byung Gyu was worried for you but you tell him that you are ok now. You told him that you liked trying new things even if you had a sensitive stomach. Byung Gyu was amazed that even with a sensitive stomach, you were willing to try anything. One day, both you and Byung Gyu pressed back to back when you started talking. You asked him if he liked to travel, and when he said he wanted to try and travel somewhere, you mentioned a few places that you had been that you really adored. 

Remembering the time he heard you sing; he brought it up again, asking if you had ever wanted to join a choir or anything similar, but you told him that you didn’t, mainly because you liked to sing just for fun. Byung Gyu nodded his head, his eyes shifting as he looked at you, a soft smile on his face. “Would you consider singing if I was in the same room? I really like your voice; it puts me at ease.” He said, watching as your face turned bright red. Normally, you get really shy when something like that is said but with Byung Gyu, you felt happy. That night, you and Byung Gyu sat on the couch of your home, completely relaxed, reading books you both had wanted to read, as a sense of security fell over you both. ‘This is nice. I like this warm feeling.’ You thought, diving back into the book you were reading.
