ok so obviously we have a well established stranger things hybrid hive on here which is so flourished and lovely

but it recently got me thinking abt mauraders hybrids. like ofc ik they have their animal counterparts and animagus selves already, but it could be a super cute play on too!!

like, tell me u cannot see remus lupin as a sweet, slightly grumpy, otter hybrid who’s life purpose is to hold hands as often as possible!! he loves bathing and just floating around on his back in the bath, blank stare as u try ur hardest to shampoo the bubbles into his hair, content with not helping even a bit. brings u little trinkets that he often steals from sirius’ hoard stash, smile on his face and so proud of himself until sirius stalks over (which either leads to a small brawl, or sirius hogging you for the rest of the night - if Remus has the audacity to give you his treasures, then you’ll become one of siris treasures too. no backsies)

sirius black being a little pedigree cat, all proud and yowling and getting into cat fights over even the briefest look that he could consider as sour. he’s the type of cat who’ll bat bat bat his owner with his paw if he feels even just slightly under appreciated. he can make do with regular food, but he’ll definitely prefer the richer ones. absolutely throws a fit if you don’t give him enough kisses, or if he thinks you’re favouring a n y o n e over him. he will straight out tell everyone he’s your favourite, because the more he says it, the likelier it is to be true in his head

horrifically clingy, albeit a little co dependent, nanny dog james potter. like the dog from Peter Pan, 100%. he’s big and slobbery and just full of love. let’s sirius bat at him whenever he feels the need to; james thinks it’s bats of love. will sit at the door when u bathe Remus, unsure if he’s pouting bc he wants to help you, or get in the bath himself, or if he wants to get in the bath with you allll. the ungodly amount of slobber this man tries to lay on you in relaxed moments is insane. maybe it’s one of those days where u come home or wake up and ur heads pounding, and u just need to nap, all lethargic and sore throated. u best believe james is gonna become a weighted (sloppy) blanket for as long as he feels. not u. him. he knows what u need better than u do (really just a ploy to let u get loved on, especially if ur more of a reserved, shy, quiet, touch-avoidant or easy breezy kind of person)

ALSO: sirius definitely finds a little bell on one of his treasure hunt adventures. u decide then that maybe he’d love a sleek little collar/necklace with a bell on it if he loves this throwaway bell sm, it also can’t hurt that sirius goes a little wonky at the idea of being owned or belonging to you anyone. he goes quiet when u give it to him, zones out stare, but quickly put it on etcetc. sirius’ biggest rival, remus, immediately is jealous and want one too. sirius concedes but only after a lengthy battle and only if you promise he’ll have a completely different design to his own sleek, black, pleated leather one. remus gets a thicker, greener, band with a bell. James is just happy to be there (but it’s a little unfair, he’s been so good about all of this so you get him a cutesy braided red one with a little golden bell, and also treat him to matching baby blue ribbons bracelets!!)

otter!remus what if i cried!! he's a cuddler for sure, his hand is always always always in your own and he's a big clinger if you ever try breaking away <3 omg yes he lives for bath time, but he won't get in unless you promise you'll be there to shampoo and scrub his hair :') also, james and sirius are not allowed in the bathroom during bath time, because they're too rowdy and demanding of your attention and hey that's remus's >:(

omg cat!sirius!!! i think i've only ever gotten dog hybrid!sirius before, bc of his animagus, but i adore little black cat hybrid sirius who hates everyone but you kind of thing :') he's a menace, he whacks you all the time (never to hurt you, just to get your attention), and yes james lets him so he's the most common target, poor guy </3 he pitches fits every day, but he does know your limits, and if you're having a particularly bad day, he'll be all grumbly butting his head into your chest like was gonna complain about how cold it is but didn't wanna piss you off. jus' keep me warm instead.

dog hybrid!james !!!!!!!!!!! omg, i think the dog in peter pan was a st bernard, right?? biiiig buff beefy dog hybrid james who has massive arms and an even more massive heart <3 smooching is his favorite hobby, you're pretty much always under barrage of either his puckered lips or messy swipes of his tongue, no matter what you're doing. you could be sweeping the floors and he'll find a way to kiss you up. he's a big snuggler too, he loves just flopping his entire body on you and snoozing away, probably drooling into your neck

omg omg omg you propose the collars as, like, bracelets or something, but sirius takes it SO seriously (hehe). he puts it on faster than you think is possible, latches it proudly, and keeps stretching his neck out so everyone sees it standing proudly against his skin. and yeah, remus is pissed. you have to shut down their arguments and get them to the shops that night because Remus refuses to sleep without one. Personally, James doesn't need one, he knows any hybrid who tries approaching him will be able to smell you all over him from how much he flattens himself on you, and that's enough for him, but he really does loooove the red one you get him, he makes you put it on for him and he'll shiver when you trace your fingers over it while he's flopped on top of you <3

for kinktober and only kinktober (my excuse to write some grossly off brand smut) also whoops this is short and last minute because HOW is it already october

“get in here,” James scolded halfheartedly, rubbing your head as you knelt between his feet.

of course you tried to behave, but your better nature got the best of you. the boys were having a meeting, and while Remus’ and Sirius’ voices usually soothed you, you grew restless at James’ feet. his hand gently stroked your cheek, petting your ears all in an attempt to keep you docile. when his fingertips brushed over your lips, you bit him sharply, bored of their droning on and on.

“ouch, jesus!” James snapped at you, swatting your cheek, abruptly catching you by surprise.

you sank back against his legs as three sets of eyes turned to stare at you, hard glares wordlessly announcing how much trouble you were in.

“what have we told you about fuckin’ biting, you brat?” Sirius grabbed your collar, roughly dragging you forward until you were on your hands and knees at his feet.

when you didn’t answer, he pulled hard on your tail, a warning that he was impatient with your brattiness.

“you’ve told me not to,” you mewled pathetically, eyes wet as you gazed to James for help, the man having no sympathy.

“and then you bit James, like the nasty little thing you are,” he hissed, tears welling at your lashes.

“m’not nasty! daddy,” you whined, more upset about falling from his good graces than the obvious punishment that awaited as a result for your misbehavior.

Remus sighed, letting Sirius batter your feelings a bit, letting him rile you up before Remus dealt any real correction. he was the hardest of the three, the strictest, always demanding perfect behavior from his little pet. when you were good he spoiled you, and you adored him like no one else, but when you stepped out of line, he became your worst fear.

“c’mere, I think siri’s had enough of you,” Remus sat down, accepting you onto his lap.

his palm was heavy against your throat as he squeezed you firmly, using the hold to manhandle you over his knee. there was no other preparation needed, the boys kept you naked in their home.

you loathed being bent over Remus’ strong thigh, your legs parted just enough that your pussy peaked out, allowing them to see how wet you’d get when they administered even the slightest hint of pain. he controlled your breathing with a hand on your throat, the other, taking a leather strap that James offered.

“are you sorry?” James asked, tilting your chin up, seeing premature tears soaking your pretty face.

“yes.”

it wasn’t a second later that Remus’ leather paddle cracked hard against your ass, the sound making you jump before the pain registered. a tongue of fire burned on your delicate skin as it licked your backside, pain searing through every nerve ending.

you jumped forward, steadied by the dominating grip on your throat. it muffled the pathetic sounds falling from your lips, and kept you looking at James and Sirius.

“m’sorry,” the whimper fell on deaf ears, the warmth smeared between your thighs suggesting otherwise.

your writhing and whines did nothing to appease your captor, and as much as you tried to help it, you couldn’t fight off the orgasm threatening to snap the tightening knot in your lower belly.

“please.”

11 year old Sirius hadn't realised it then, but him forcing his friendship upon Remus at Hogwarts was the worst decision he had ever made. He had obviously ruined the other man's life and his husband was just too kind to tell him the truth of it. "You bloody idiot," he heard his beloved's voice call to him as it cut through all of the other voices. Remus' voice was kind, soft and full of love, something Sirius didn't deserve. Would never deserve. He must have said that out loud because the next thing he heard was "you deserve the world Sirius. You are my world. Open those pretty eyes for me, Cariad. I'm here. I came for you love. I will always come for you baby."

Sirius hadn't realised he was sobbing until he felt Remus' scarred hand wipe the tears off his cheeks. "Please baby, I'm here." Remus said, starting to sound more desperate. Sirius didn't want to believe it, believe that Remus had come for him, because if he opened his eyes and it wasn't real he would shatter into a million pieces. Instead he wanted to curl up and sob, wrap his tail around himself and hide under the couch, away from the world, but if he did that then Remus would get mad at him. He didn't want to make Remus mad. He loved Remus more than anyone apart from Harry. "I wont be mad baby. I'm not mad. Open your eyes and we can make a den in the bedroom when we get home ok? We can hide away for a while. Just me and you. You overdid it love, that's al,l" Remus' gentle voice said.

finally found a Marauder in my mechwarrior campaign, and my god is it beefy

ℬACKSTORY

 ◞    backstory : i grew up in england where a lot of my family was but by the time i turned 13 we moved to scotland, partially to attend hogwarts and partially because my parents wanted to get away from some of our pureblood family members. my parents, though from a notable pureblood family, don't agree with the views of pureblood culture. because my parents' reputation for their last name still upheld, when we moved we were invited to an event that ended up just being a pureblood society ball. we only stayed out of politeness, but it was there that i met sirius and promised to be best friends with him when we got to hogwarts since we both hated the party.

𝒲ARDROBE

 ◞    description : my style in this dr can change a lot, especially taking into consideration the weather or location i'm in. in terms of colors, i wear a lot of neutrals but tend to have a specific color pop (which oftentimes a cherry red). during winter and autumn months, i am often wearing oversized jumpers (whether mine or stolen from remus). i also almost always wear flared or baggy pants. some of my iconic pieces include leather jackets, doc martens, band tees, baker boy hats, plaid skirts, and more. during the summer i tend to wear baby tees and babydoll tops, along with skirts. with my uniform, i pair many accessories to make it look as appealing as possible, and use magic to have different nails every day.

ℒIFE AT HOGWARTS

 ◞    general : students start first year at 14, so it is a sort of hybrid between highschool and university, where students have much more freedom once 18. school uniforms are only required during classes from monday - thursday, and on friday you may wear your desired outfit underneath your robes.

 ◞    dorms : students are allocated private dorms that have within them a bed, a desk, a private bathroom, and more. once a student is assigned to a dorm, the dorm changes to accommodate that student's taste. once you are given your dorm number, you must choose a password and it is your responsibility to ensure students you do not want to come in cannot. in the case that a student knows your password and you do not want them to, you can ask a professor to change it and they will do so. alohomora will not unlock dorm rooms. dorms are organized by house, but boy's and girl's dorms are not separated - everything is instead organized by house and name.

 ◞    extra-curriculars : the clubs i am part of include music club (which later inspires me and my friends to make a band), theater club, art club, care of magical creatures club, and in later years, the quidditch team

 ◞    houses : the animosity between houses (especially slytherin and gryffindor) is not nearly as prevalent as depicted in the books. it is known that not all students in one house are the same, and so, while some friendly competition is encouraged, it is not uncommon to have friends from every house. students of every house are allowed into the common rooms and dorms (with permission of at least one person from that house).

 ◞    events : all the events featured in this post are included in this dr

𝒜BOUT THIS DR

 ◞    worldbuilding : not a lot changes about the war except for the fact that it's toned down and ends during my seventh year (which we redo since it would be similar to the last year in the harry potter books - looking for horcruxes without actually being at hogwarts). of course, none of my friends die. i haven't accounted for how the war will end exactly, so i suppose i'll let that work itself out organically.

 ◞    main friends : remus lupin, sirius black, james potter, lily evans, regulus black, marlene mckinnon, mary macdonald.

 ◞    relationships : i am a formal part of both the marauders and the valkyries. i became friends with the marauders at the start of the school year, and we were consequently established as a friend group before me and the girls. i tend to spend more time with the marauders but our groups often mingle since everyone gets along (except maybe lily and james at the beginning). i also have some friends in slytherin, such as andromeda and regulus, but i tend to stay away from the anti-muggleborn students.

Snape Headcanons

He's bad at geography. Sure, he knows this super rare, obscure potion ingredient can only be found in this one area in Laos, but ask him to find Laos on a map he won't have a clue. There was a time he dreamed about seeing world, but he quickly realized he would never get the opportunity and so doesn't see any purpose in learning geography.

A lot of the Marauders' claims about him, like knowing curses as a first year, are exaggerated, but the one thing they're right about is Snape was very nosy. Part of it was because it was useful; knowledge is power, after all. He could trade gossip with his fellow Slytherins, or use it to keep one step ahead of the Marauders (or taunt them with it). But most of it is just his natural curiosity. He's a people watcher. He doesn't often understand people, is bad at human interaction, so he watches from a distance.

Severus knows half the first years think he's some sort of vampire and he revels in it. He knows exactly the kind of image he creates, dressing up in those long black, swishing robes, the spooky dungeons with the jars full of animal body parts. His taste is 33% Mad-Scientist-Run-Amuck, 33% Sad-Victorian-Boy-Dying-of-Tuberculosis, 33% Tacky-Post-Halloween-Discounted-Decor, and 1% Lucius's-Increasing-Despair-to-Make-Severus-Into-a-Functional-Human-Being.

In addition to potions and reading, Severus also does a lot of writing. He's been working on-and-off on a novel since he was fifteen. At this point, it's almost 500,000 words long. One of the few ways he's able to express his thoughts and feelings is through fiction. The main character was heavily based on Lily, especially in the early stages when they were still friends, but as he grew older he put more of himself into the character and now she's become the version of himself he wishes he could be. The night before he kills Dumbledore he burns the entire thing.

Severus knows the DADA position is cursed. Everyone knows it's cursed. He still asks to teach it every year because he also knows that it's the only way he can escape Hogwarts, and he's willing to risk death to do it.

His feelings for Lily have gone through the entire spectrum. At times, she was a sister to him, especially the years before Hogwarts. He used to be incredibly jealous of Petunia, wished he could be Lily's sibling and live in their house and have their parents. It became romantic as a young teenager, especially since she was the only person he felt safe enough with for his pubescent mind to fixate on and explore his budding sexuality. Later, as he became friends with the other Slytherins in his year, it was strictly platonic but nonetheless a very deep friendship. They were both trying to control the other, and Severus was especially worried that Lily would end up like Eileen if she gave into Potter's charms. After his failed apology, he grew angry and resentful and he tried very much to hate her (but he couldn't, not even after she married Potter). And then, after her death, it circled back around to brotherly. He liked to remember those early years best of all, and his devotion to a better cause after her death parallels that of Dumbledore's after Ariana died.

Look I know there's a lot of confusion about godparents, and HP didn't help by being coy about religion, but a godparent isn't a legally appointed guardian. Like, they definitely can be if the parents want that (as it appears to be the case with Sirius Black), but that's not the default. A godparent sponsors a child's baptism and is in charge of their spiritual upbringing, making sure they know their catechism, etc (hence the god part of godparent, its a Catholic/Anglican thing). And the most widespread religion in HP does seem to be Christianity with Christmas being celebrated and whatnot (though I do headcanon the purebloods have their own Druidic/Christian hybrid religion going on). With that being said-- Severus Snape is Draco's godfather. He's also Merula Snyde's godfather. And Pansy Parkinson's godfather. And, like, the godfather of 10 other kids of former Death Eaters. Severus Snape climbed the Death Eater ladder; he was one of Voldemort's favourites during the First War and these other Death Eaters were like, "Damn. I got to get on his good side. Please sponsor my child's baptism."

London, which is never silent seemed to stop, everyone watching the sky and pulling out their phones to film what they had seen. Cars pulled over so their passengers could get a better view. Not sure what they were looking at. And then. It was gone. As suddenly as it had arrived, it simply vanished. Within moments the haunting spectactle was making the rounds online, whilst others claimed it was some sort of hoax. On the other side of London however, The ministry is in a state of panic, never before has a dark mark been cast in full view of a city of muggles. What does this mean? Why had they allowed themselves to be seen? And most importantly, what will happen next? I can hear them The year is 2024, you might think you know how this ends. You would be wrong. This is a chance to take your favourite characters from the beginning and place them in a much more tumultuous time. Are you ready? Morsmordre is a 21+ marauder AU set in present day that lives on both discord and tumblr. We're looking for writers that share our passion for these characters but may be looking for something slightly more lax with activity. okay so this is a marauders playlist that i’ve like annoyingly hyper curated with songs i think specific characters would listen to! i am very proud! all of the songs should be from 1981 or earlier. here’s my unnecessary explanation for why i have music where it is and what i think are some themes and quintessential songs from the characters:

the playlist starts with group music, meaning anthems that i think they would listen to together. the opening pink floyd songs feel like good companion pieces to set the stage for their vibe as a group. those are the only two songs that sound best played back to back. i think some of the most significant group songs are “heroes” (make me cry why don’t you?) and “dancing in the moonlight” (which also makes me sad?). but on a lighthearted note i can see them dancing around to “does your mother know”

okay so the group music transitions into sirius’, which is how all of the sections work- meaning that there is a song or two shared between characters as we transition between them. again, the songs are chosen because i can picture these certain characters enjoying these certain songs (as opposed to songs describing characters), but that’s not to say they are exclusive. for the group and sirius, those transition songs are “hot stuff” and “starman.”

so sirius’ music is generally heavier rock, with some punk and metal mixed in. i think the lightest song he has is “cool cat,” which is very good btw. quintessential sirius to me is “lady stardust” and like that song SPECIFICALLY. he is lady stardust. also “rebel rebel” of course. “black dog” too, but that’s a bit on the nose.

his music turns into remus’ with “baba o’riley” and “hybrid moments.” do you see the vision? they are both giving teen punks to me. but also remus feels like a rock enjoyer, so for me his quintessential rock is the pink floyd (“great gig” and “comfortably numb”). i also gave him some early ska because i feel like out of anyone in the group, he would be into that. “this is radio clash” is another big remus song to me. i gave him “nib” because yes indeed he plays bass.

from remus we go into james’ music with the transition song of “gold dust woman.” james has pretty classic, lively rock. it’s more one-track than the other characters, but i’m speaking my truth or whatever. he’s a classic rock enthusiast. the heaviest his music gets is “breaking the law.” i gave him specifically “all the young dudes” even though it’s usually considered a group song. i don’t really have an explanation, it just feels right. quintessential james is “i was made for lovin’ you” and “good old-fashioned lover boy,” because ain’t that the truth? he would play air guitar to “you really got me.”

with “got to get you into my life” we’re getting into peter’s music. i gave him more new wave than anybody else but i mostly gave him classic rock. peter’s music to me can be summed up in “don’t bring me down” and “people are strange.” he is very gary numan 2 me. i feel like he could easily get along with the music most other characters would play for him. like i think he would have agreeable taste.

peters music transitions into the girls (mary, lily, marlene, dorcas) with “lay all your love on me” and “bridge over troubled water.” i gave the girls some variety, rock to disco to new wave to motown, because i don’t have enough songs for the individual girls, but there is so much variety in the music they would enjoy, so it looks a bit crazy. i feel like mary and dorcas would jam together to the metal. “and if you see him” is lily. in my mind she loves this album. “don’t you want me” is marlily, but in like a fun happy way, like they sing it to each other. “kiss on my list” is giving dorlene to me. “these boots…” is for marlene and i love that for her.

okay so this is my playlist and my exhaustive explanation! i feel like i could add more new wave and disco and stuff because this leans towards rock, but that’s a project for later. oh hey i woulda added sex pistols but i don’t like them sorry. thanks for reading whatever of this you did read!
