It has been a long while since I have drawn anything. Again, irl social stuff affected this. But since I don't take classes during the summer and artfight is coming up this sparked some incentive of getting back into the swing of things. I'll eventually upload the jewelry I made in early spring to more recent maybe tomorrow.

Anyway, Brandyn was once a human who decided to mutate himself into a weird monkey humanoid. He mainly used spider monkey, gibbon, and marmoset DNA while adding strains of magic to the mix to see the results.

Brandyn uses he/him pronouns so please be respectful.

Feeling a lot of trans Leo feelings rn and I would like to reiterate how possible it is for him to not only be trans but also have no idea at all about it.

Okay so, he’s bigger than Donnie, particularly carapace wise, which tends to be the case when the slider is female and the softshell is male.

Second, his coloring. He retains the same coloring his whole life, even as a much older adult, so there’s another tick in the trans checklist, especially being that said coloring is noticeably bright.

His demeanor is also pretty at odds from most male red eared sliders - one example of this being when Bullhop was staying with them and Leo is noticeably less angered by him being both in their territory and in general than the others are - male red eared sliders would be way more combative here.

Like alone none of these are 100% definitive indicators but all together it makes perfect sense to me personally.

Now, how would it work for Leo to not know?

Okay, bear with me, but I like to think it’s because of Splinter’s (or rather, Lou Jitsu’s) genetics! As in, of course Leo wouldn’t assume otherwise, after all, his human self is very masc, including his lower voice and overall body type, so he and his family would have no reason to assume that he’s actually trans! But I personally like to think that it is because of Lou Jitsu’s DNA that Leo’s humanoid half turned out so masc in comparison to his more female aligning turtle half.

So yeah. Female red eared slider mutated with the DNA of a human man equals a turtle teen with no idea he’s trans (or potentially intersex.)

In one Tottmnt episode Mikey and Ron are discussing how mutants are created and Ron tells Mikey to inject his mutant blood into him so he can mutate into a mutant as well, and Mikey is unsure if that'll work/what it'll do to him.

Idk if that was a reference, but that's literally what happened to Jennika in the IDW Comics. Leo injected his blood into her (she was dying of blood lose or something) which saved her life but also mutated her into a mutant turtle in the process.

Another thing though, Ron asks about the idea of a human turned mutant and Mikey makes a comment along the lines of how he's not sure if its even possible since all other mutants he's met prior (and later in the series) were all animals first.

My first immediate thought was MONA LISA!!!! Most of her iterations (87 and IDW) shes a human turned mutant, so playing with the mutant concept more in this show, Mona would be a great candidate to explore that topic of a "humans turning into mutants" era if the show (or movie sequel) decides to go that route in the future.

Day 3: Favourite Henchman

I clearly struggle with picking favourites, but I've tried to narrow them down here. I have a soft spot for Batman vs TMNT Stockman, mostly because he deserves better (like most Stockmans oof). He's not the only one who's a henchman by hostage tho so that's where this comic idea came in

03 Hun is already pretty cool, but his mutation is so underrated that I wanted to try showcasing it (I literally gasped out loud the first time I watched Turtles Forever)

And of course we have the gays ✨ Henchmen turned heroes that I think about a normal amount [Bonus sketch of them under the cut bc I like how it turned out]

Soooo according to splinter in the flashback , if I’m understanding it right , he was in his 20s as a regular rat . Then after mutation , he is still the same age but now functions as a human in their 20s . So that’s the same idea with Ven Jen & Lita .

they were 15 & 5 year old turtles respectively and are still the same age but function as human teens & child after being mutated :] (so none of them started out as humans in my MM / Tales version)
