first board FULL. sorry, gonna be a little mushy here, but I cannot express enough how much each piece of fanart means to me. like there's just something so overwhelming about knowing that something I wrote inspired someone else to CREATE something. like that makes me feel a little insane. that's like, the greatest compliment a writer can receive probably. whenever I get insecure about my writing and think maybe people are just being nice and just like, humoring me fhasghkadgs, I look at my board and feel so much better. also it's all just such GOOD art it makes me so happy to just look at it fsdhglhlsagkl. so thank you ❤️❤️❤️

asdasdasd my first reaction was shredder but then hisoka from hxh took over my brain with such vitriol. so hisoka it is:

he's strong. his unpredictability and personality were positive points in my book. idk i like it when a character doesn't take things seriously but they're strong enough to not be obnoxious

sticks to his clown theme. (never strayed from it an i appreciate the commitment)

he makes the scenes he's in interesting. less so when he got a fucking boner while fighting gon. the story writes it in a way that's like "oh he's attracted to gon's power" but he still finding attraction in a kid so he got on my shit list like super fast lmao

5. What’s a fic idea you’ve had that you will never write?

HEHEHE I am DELIGHTED to get this question at this timing. I had a terrible, horrible idea once: what if Donatello mutated while they were still stuck in the cretaceous with Renet, and his brothers didn't know? My version of this was very bad-end, they kill the monster that they think took their brother and eventually return home, broken. BUUUUT my lovely friend @punctuated-equilibrium picked up this idea and made it better!! She's written a fic with a similar concept and just published the first chapter on AO3. GO READ IT!!

11. Do you have specific playlists for writing fics?

I actually do not! I like to listen to Joywave's "How Do You Feel Now?" album a lot when I'm writing, it's just good writing music idk. I do have a couple of TMNT playlists specifically tho! One for the series in general, one for my Raphie boy :3

hey, i have a question, how would you write Cassie and Jinny's relationship?

would jinny be on young justice, will it be long distance, what would their dynamic be?

My gut instinct was to say that I’d probably want to focus on them in those first/awkward stages of dating? Half the fun of reading for me sometimes is just enjoying the journey of two idiots figuring things out. Sometimes ya just want some sickly sweet fluff!

But the more that I think abt Cassie having a fraught history dating Kon/Tim, the metas abt comphet & okay also CassieRose visits my mind a LOT, not rent-free just as a surprise guest atm… also Jinny still on the heels of finding her last gf cheating & when we last saw her doin the road-trip thing with her friend (now kinda-sister???)

I’m like 👀 there’s some messy potential here AND I LOVE IT

But to circle back & try to answer in mostly the same order:

If DC were to give me the reins to write a run today, I’d def want to know what Outsiders is gonna do with Jinny first & make sure I’m not stepping on too many toes obvsly. I rlly hope that they’re picking up on the road trip from the end of her Special, but the premise isn’t leaving me super hopeful that there’s any editors left at DC to pay attention to that kind of thing 🙃 also there’s speculation rn abt a new YJ book with a diff cast so I don’t think either of them are gonna be part of YJ here pretty soon 😅

For fic writing tho, the beauty is that we can Licherally do whatever we want, so I can be as canon-compliant or noncompliant as possible so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in that respect it’s a matter of when I would want that potential fic to take place (or ig what setting 👀 YJ college au request in my inbox I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN YOUUUU)

Long distance I think doesn’t really factor when one of the pair is able to fly so uh 😅 change in setting would have to be more of a factor to consider that? (Again, college AU I might consider it for its conflict potential 🤔) (also what qualifies as long distance bc I’ve got a friend who’s dating a guy that’s like 3hrs away, but that’s Texas distance so it’s nbd for them to see each other on weekends but I know some ppl would consider Not Living in the Same City as long distance so aksjsks) idk, distance just isn’t a big deal to me in Gen tho too. Like, You Find A Way to make it work or you don’t and that’s where delicious Conflict™️ can take root lol

And ahh dynamic… that age-old question… who’s Red/Blue, the Grump/Sunshine, who falls first vs who falls harder, god there’s so many things to consider. I do think I fall back on thinking of them as the Opposite Worlds Attract kinda dynamic (wait no, now I’m thinking of night at the museum and zom made that gemhex, not wonderhex I’m 😭😭😭)

It’s FINE, there’s not much new under the sun 😂 but yea, wonderhex is something I love a lot, would love an excuse to write for them 👀👀👀 I just need a nudge 👀

I want Robin and Troy to be Best Friends

With Teen Justice about to come out in a few days, there are some things I want to see in that comic.

ONE OF WHICH is Talia Kane (Robin) and Donald Troy (Troy) being relatable to each other. Talia and Laurel (Supergirl) are best friends since, I assume, they’ve been together even before Teen Justice, yes, BUT, think about it...

From the info cards DC gave us, Donny looks like he isn’t willing to put up with the shit he knows he’s about to get into. Like, you cannot tell me he doesn’t look like he’s the big brother that has to take responsibility for his siblings’ actions and he's just done with it. He looks serious and I have no doubt he’ll have a loving and caring side to him and will knock the shit out of you if you give off the wrong vibe.

And if Talia is ANYTHING like Damian, I want the writers to make her sassy as hell. Like, Dorothy Zbornak kind of sassy and sarcastic. I want her to be social and open to her team. Every time someone says/does something stupid, I want her to be sarcastic. But I also want her to be helpful and approachable to others in certain situations.

Now imagine Donny and Talia just being relatable to each other. I imagine that both of them had intense training growing up and act like soldiers most of the time or have like military habits like having a straight posture, getting straight to the point, etc. They’d be looking at the mess and chaos the team made while committing shenanigans in their headquarters and just facepalm or mentally judge their team mates.

I also want Laurel and Jess (Kid Quick) to be close friends. If Laurel is anything like Jon, I also want Laurel to act like a (lost) puppy. I want her to follow the members around with wide eyes and just see if they need any help. Besides Talia, she does it most to Jess.

Few more things about Laurel, did anyone else notice that she wears ripped leggings just like how Jon used to wear ripped jeans jbddjhbasilhliwegfiu. I’m weak. Also, if I'm right, Laurel is the youngest out of all of them.

Another thing I want to talk about is who the leader is. One Earth-11 headcanon I think about often right now is that Talia accepts the fact that she’s not the leader of Teen Justice. By the looks of these covers:

Jess Chambers is the one who’s leading the team. 

Does Talia want to be the leader of Teen Justice? Yes. Does she think Jess doesn’t deserve their spot as leader? No, absolutely not.

Talia wants to be the leader of the team very much and thinks that she deserves it the most out of everyone in the team (considering she is like Damian), but she accepts the fact that she isn’t and lets Jess lead, thinking they’d lead the team as well as she would and that they’d let her help them lead.

Last but not least, Raven...

I don’t care that Teen Justice only has 6 issues, I want Raven and Donny to go on a date and get together, I want Raven to pine for him and stare at Donny longingly and not even notice it, I want the team to just set the two of them up on a date and succeed, I want the team spying on them just to make sure everything is going according to Operation: WonderRae.
