There are consistent abuses of LGBTQIA+ people happening in the Kakuma refugee camp due to government neglect and hateful ideas spread about them. If you can, please support them in any way you can. Here are a couple of news articles explaining what's going on in more detail:
Additionally, please reach out to @godwin5mizo if you're interested in helping, they're an activist advocating for the LGBTQIA+ people in Kakuma, and they're willing to help explain what's going on, and how you could help them. Please help spread the word.

angry at the system so very much. disabled lives are not disposable. i am not trash for you to throw away. i am alive. i feel. i think. i want. i need. i breathe. stop suffocating us with abuse and neglect. stop sectioning us away from the rest of society. there is no excuse. there is no justification. there is only reason, and your reason is wrong. it's cruel. it's inhumane. something needs to change. everything needs to change, and pity and platitudes are not enough.

Things kids these days ought to know:
You can call a genocide a genocide without comparing it to the Holocaust. It's still a genocide but it's not the Holocaust.
Many, many genocides have happened around the world throughout history and they really aren't comparable with one another.
Don't compare anything to the Holocaust. Just don't. Really, don't.

Very worrying news from the DRCongo.
Tumblr media
You saw the national football team cover their mouth, and point their fingers to their head in the CAN match against Ivory Coast last Wednesday?
It was to raise awareness for the surge in violence committed by M23 rebels in eastern Congo - with support from a neighbouring government, to destabilize a region that "happens to hold a lot of the world's very valued minerals".
People are being murdered, houses are being burnt. One again, thousands are fleeing their home, and join the refugee camps around Goma that already in October last year housed around 600.000 people.
Also Goma itself is surrounded, the supply lines for food from the country side to the city interrupted.
Why can't the international community do nothing more than empty declarations of solidarity and wishing for peace. The UN mission - which hardly had a mandate to intervene in case of violence against Congolese citizens - has had no positive impact.
Maybe we could finally consider putting pressure one the Rwandan goverment and its allies to actually put an end to these 30 years of violence and ruined lives in this region.
The same region that provides the world with materials for our phones, electrical and solar panels btw.

Missouri Governor Parson refused to grant clemency to Marcellus Williams.
The US government executed an innocent man today.

Scroll to the last. (It's just a speculation, the screenshot) ↓↓↓
Some things which happened yesterday after or during the time of the candle march that was organised in the whole state.
Riots were orchestrated by mobs in front of RG Kar Hospital and in many other places.
A woman named Priyanka Hansda, a student at Burdwan University. She took part in one of the 'Claim the Night' rallies but was met with another tragedy. She was murdered, which can't be described. May we get justice for her too.
Men tried to climb over the walls of the girls' hostel. Another girl was molested there. Presumably, the hostel was of RG Kar too.
RG Kar was destroyed again to tamper with evidence.
Jadavpur University students were beaten up by West Bengal police because they raised voices against the injustice.
Tumblr media
One of the most horrifying things is probably that some women are supporting men in wreaking havoc so that all evidence can be tampered with.
Tumblr media
(sorry for the bad quality)
The news is circulating and I am not sure how true is that, which is very disturbing. Apparently, the girlfriend of one of the rapists helped them to commit the murder.
Many have speculated that this is part of something bigger which makes sense because of how government is trying to hide the whole incident.

A whole lifetime 💔
A whole lifetime of injustice.
A whole lifetime of dispossession.
Of structural violence.
Of daily humiliation.
Of being seen as the enemy by the coloniser.
Of seeing loved ones abducted or murdered.
Of silence by the world.
And now, a level of destruction and extermination unseen in modern history.
A whole lifetime.

feel like some people don’t comprehend that partially the point of tbosas is that you can sympathize with Coryo. It never excuses his actions nor does it try to, but it’s way more complicated than Coryo just being ‘psycho’
