CHARLI XCX ON 88 FM OR SMTH
H: So, you’ve been promoting your latest single ‘Electrify’ lately. Talk to me where that inspiration for the song came from and what it means to you.
C: ‘Electrify’ was a really short-lived romance I had, but it was actually really nice. We loved each other very much, and it was one of the best relationships of my life I think. It was really short though when we realized that love couldn’t really last. So it really went down as quick as it went up, and I wrote the song at one of the highest moments. To me, the song is definitely one of the happiest on the record. I like putting it out as the final single from the record, since I knew it would come full circle for the era. My CAL debut single was very dark, and it progressively got lighter with each single. I’m so happy it rolled out that way.
H: What’s some of your favorite songs at the moment? There really is so much music coming out these days. Any tracks you’re hyped for?
C: I am really excited for the new Tinashe track! She keeps tweeting some hints and it looks really well done, so I am excited to see that come out. It’s out soon right? Hmm, I also really like The Weeknd’s new single with the amazing Lana Del Rey. I’m a huge Lana fan, so I was really excited to hear this song. I love their voices together, and I’m excited to hear Abel’s solo stuff. I am really into Halsey as well! Her song ‘Violins’ is absolutely amazing I loved her album, and I’m so happy to have a fellow woman killing the industry as a newcomer. I think she’s just brilliant.
H: I love the new Halsey song too! She truly is killing it out there. So back to you, you have a GRAMMy awarded album ‘Radiant’, that almost came out a year ago by the way. Talk to me about that album.
C: That’s crazy! I had no idea it was already almost one year. Anyway, that record was such a crucial time in my life. I was working in my friend Patrik’s Berger’s studio, just trying to come up with something. We ended up finishing ‘Rainstorm’ that day and basically the record became what it from that. We knew that needed to be the first song out, since it was such a crucial piece of the record. The whole record was basically me getting over my demons, and becoming “brighter” or more “radiant”, hence the album name. I love the concept and I am just so proud of it.
H: So, it’s been almost a full year since that record came out, is XCX2 on the way?
C: Yes! It’s coming sooner than you expect. I started writing it on tour, and it is really something I’m proud of. Up until touring, I hadn’t written anything really. All that inspiration bottled up until at point led for an amazing record so far, i cannot wait to share what’s next so soon. I’m no sure if I have a title yet, that’ll come when it does I guess. Titling a record is something you can’t fuck up, it’s so vital and its’ a vital piece of the record, so I need to be really mindful of that. When I picked the name ‘Radiant’, half the record wasn’t near completion, so that somewhat shaped it. This time, nothing can shape this record. I’m so excited to put it out.
H: I’m so excited! Anyway, to hold you over, here’s Charli’s latest single, ‘Electrify’!

CHARLI XCX ON THE VOICE OF GREECE
Charli XCX has just was awarded with a GRAMMY for her album ‘Radiant’. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli performed on The Voice of Greece. The promotion is in support of her newly platinum certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the synopsis of the performance.
PERFORMANCE
The host of The Voice Greece steps out and introduces Charli. He says, “Now, we have a special guest tonight. With over ten million records sold within the last year, this GRAMMY awarded newcomer has just begun her journey to becoming a star. Here to night to perform her newly platinum certified single, it’s Charli XCX with ‘Electrify’!
The camera cuts to a black stage, where Charli stands. It’s just her silhouette this time, and she looks gorgeous. A red leotard hugs her body, and her hair is messy and down. She has long black strappy boots to finish the look. The dancers, who are all male this time, wear black pants, and their shirts are a beautiful red color, to compliment Charli’s look. The lights flash once, and then the music begins. Charli turns around and infront of her stands a microphone stand. The stage has an interesting setup, as it has multiple colored blocks, that the band plays on. They flash colors with the beat of the song, and the stage lights flash the same color. In the first verse, they’re purple. Charli begins to sing into the microphone, having her own little dance party. She smiles and waves her arms. She’s on a lifted platform, so when the chorus hits, the lights flash and Charli steps down into the middle stage. Dancers come out, and Charli motions for them on each side, between singing. They join her and for the last 2-3 lines of the chorus they dance alongside her. The second verse arrives and Charli is lifted by the dancers, and they carry her to the side. She’s put on their shoulders, and she sigs the verse while up there. They put her down on the other side of the stage, with dancers on both sides. Just before the second chorus, Charli runs to the middle of the stage, and motions for both sides of the stage. Now, they fully do the whole chorus routine. They jump, kick, and do mainly contemporary dance. It’s pretty simple, to match the production. For the bridge, Charli now stands alone. She motions for the dancers to get off the stage, and the camera comes in closer to her. She begins doing solo choreography. It mainly uses her arms. The chorus builds up and Charli yells, “Let’s go!” and motions for everyone to begin jumping. The dancers file out behind her and they do the same final choreography they delivered the second chorus. They smile and have a blast doing so. For the final adlibs Charli walks around the stage and puts her hands out for the fans. For the final adlib Charli centers herself. She kneels down, just when the song ends.

CHARLI XCX ON HEAT RADIO
Charli XCX has just was awarded with a GRAMMY for her album ‘Radiant’. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli talked with Heat Radio on her music. The promotion is in support of her newly platinum certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the transcript of the conversation, held this morning.
INTERVIEW
H: Good morning listeners, we’re here with a massive breakout star. With overnight success on her single ‘Rainstorm’ this netx guest would quickly become one of the biggest ‘artists of 2017. She’s here with us now, say hello to Charli XCX!
C: Hello, I’m so excited to be here.
H: Thanks for joining me. I recently heard that your CAL debut album ‘Radiant’ recently surpassed two million copies worldwide. This is massive for you, how do you feel about that?
C: It’s crazy, it was only a few month ago that I actually dropped the album. I had no idea that anyone would be so supportive of me and the record at the time. I just released that album for my own personal gain, but with the support of a label and my fans I was able to push that even further and lead to help others. I’ve never been someone driven towards sales, but it is amazing to me that music like mine can still sell so high. I’m very thankful.
H: I love your record, it’s something really fresh in todays music and we here in Greece love that.
C: Thank you!
H: No problem, it’s so true though. Now, for the angels, tell me your trinity for the record.
C: That’s hard! I have such a connection with every song that’s on the record, I’ll narrow it down to ‘Botox’, ‘Electrify; and ‘Rainstorm’. Ive been fortunate to name two of my personal favorites as singles and perform them worldwide. I love doing that. ‘Botox’ was one of my favorites because of the production Claire did. I just lobe the way that song came together. It has a good message and has really well done production. ‘Electrify’ is one of my favorites because I like the lyrics. I was in such a good mental space when I wrote it, so it’s no surprise the emotion worked so well. ‘Rainstorm’ is final in my trinity because it’s the song that kick started the era. When I released it, I didn’t have an album name, I didn't have a concept. I just had ‘Rainstorm’ and that song was able to guide the way perfectly, so I have a slot of sentimental meaning with the song. I have a lot of feeling with the song.
H: Speaking of ‘Electrify’, this is your new single. It recently went platinum, your third CAL single to do so. How does that feel?
C: It kind of feels the same way ‘Radiant’ does. I love my music and  love making it. It feel very exciting to have people enjoying it. I am so happy to have people still enjoying my work to that degree, it definitely means a lot to me. I’m so thankful.
H: I love the song too, you can buy the single now where ever music is sold. Don’t miss her CAL debut album either! Now, this is that exact song, this is ‘Electrify’ by Charli XCX!

CHARLI XCX CONEXIÒN 97.9
Charli XCX has just was awarded with a GRAMMY for her album ‘Radiant’. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli talked with Conexiòn 97.9 on her music. The promotion is in support of her newly platinum certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the transcript of the conversation, held this morning.
INTERVIEW
Maria: We’re here with one of the biggest breakout stars of 2017, this is Charli XCX!
Charli: Thank you, I’m happy to be here.
M: We’re happy to have you. Now quickly, chat with us about your new single ‘Electrify’. The song jumped 19 spots this week on the CAL 100, which is major for you. Are you happy about that?
C: Yes! It’s really motivating to know people are still into the song, I love the song myself, so I am excited to continue promoting it. The song came from a very happy relationship I was in, and it was a very interesting time for me. I as very in the moment, and that’s what made the song so special. Both my label and the fans loved the song, so I decided to release it as the third single.
M: I love ‘Electrify’, it has such a nice pop feel. ‘Electrify’ is the third single from your GRAMMY winning album ‘Radiant’, what does ‘Radiant’ mean to you?
C: ‘Radiant’ is a really special record to me. I wrote in a pretty tough time in my life, and I use music to kind of get me out of tough times. ‘Radiant’ was about breaking down walls around me that other people put up, and really my views on the world and how things work. The way people have been enjoying it has been crazy, I love it so much. Having people who support my work motivates me very much. Not because I want success, but I wanna make them proud. If I see some kids make a twitter account, and they tweet everyday to support me, I can’t just half ass my album, if they take the time to care about me, i care about what I’m giving to them. I believe that’s really important.
M: I love that message a lot, it’s really  great fanbase that you have.
C: They’re really amazing, i wouldnt have much without them.
M: Back to your music, what have you been listening to recently?
C: I’ve been listening to a lot. Lana Del Rey is one of course, i love her record, very excited for her song with The Weeknd. Christina surprised me this week. “A Funeral” is an amazing song, really sad too. I can’t wait for her mixtape. She’s really talented. Loving the Maxence single, ‘Prime’ will be an amazing album, I’m very excited. Halsey is always a favorite of mine. I toured with her, and she did put on amazing show. ‘Violins’ is an amazing song. Zendaya also dropped an amazing song recently. So many talented artists are releasing music these days.
M: Totally, I’m so into today’s music. Almost everyone is really creating really amazing music these days, and it’s amazing to see. You mentioned touring with Halsey, how was touring?
C: Touring was amazing. There’s a rush to every night, no matter the crowd. Everyone was so amazing, and meeting the angels was so fun. I’m so thankful people were supportive of me touring, I loved doing it, and I hope to do it again. It was such an amazing experience.
M: I wish I could’ve gone to your show! Anyway, that’s all the time we have for now. Charli’s new single ‘Electrify’ is out worldwide, so is the album ‘Radiant’. Here’s the song now!

CHARLI XCX ON THE VOICE COLUMBIA
Charli XCX just was awarded with a GRAMMY for her album ‘Radiant’. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli put on an amazing performance of her newly platinum certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the synopsis of the performance, that aired this evening.
PERFORMANCE
The host stands on the side of the stage. She smiles as she holds a ‘Radiant’ vinyl. The host bring a microphone to her mouth and announcers. “Our next guest is a breakout superstar. Her CAL debut album ‘Radiant’ is a multiplatinum, GRAMMY awarded, worldwide success. Here to perform the third single off the album, this Charli XCX with her single, ‘Electrify’. The camera now cuts to the stage where Charli stands. Hands on her hips, the song begins. Charli brings her left arm down and swings it up above her head, and with that the dancers come out. She begins to sing the first verse with a smile on her face. She looks beautiful today, with her hair in semi-briads, and a loose black top on. She has black pants on as well, and her makeup is very bold. She’s wearing black sneakers as well. The dancers are wearing generally similar outfits, they wear black jumpsuits, the ones with longer hair are tied in a ponytail. Charli now struts to the front of the stage and sings the chorus. The dancers stay put, doing some amazing choreography. Charli walks to each side of the stage and holds her hand out for the fans. She focuses on her vocals. Right before the second verse she finds herself in the middle of the stage. She smiles. The dancers begins to line up behind her, and she turns around. She walks to the back of the stage, but she is looking to the left, so you can see she is singing. The camera pans at a view of her walking. As she walks, the dancers jump out of her way, and kneel outwards. Charli then looks back at the front of the stage. The dancers stand now farther upstage, but don’t block Charli. She dances there for the rest of the performance, and looks beautiful. She’s on key and such, and looks generally very flawless as she brings Columbia all that she can do. The performance ends and the host reminds everyone both ‘Electrify’ and ‘Radiant’ are out now.

CHARLI XCX ON FUSE
Charli XCX has just was awarded with a GRAMMY for her album ‘Radiant’. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli talked with Fuse on the highly well known TV program The promotion is in support of her newly platinum certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the transcript of the conversation, held this morning. Charli also performed her new single ‘Electrify’ right after, in an acoustic style.
INTERVIEW
Deborah: We’re here Charli XCX, a massive rising star, who’s sold over 9,000,000 records worldwide. Her CAL debut album ‘Radiant’ recently was certified by the RIAA for surpassing 2,000,000 sales. Here she is now, how are you?
Charli: Oh wow, what an introduction. [she laughs]. I’m good! You?
D: I’m good, now back to you. Both your new album and single surpassed certifications. Your album as we mentioned has been announced as two times platinum while your latest single ‘Electrify’ has been finally certified platinum. How does that feel?
C: That’s crazy. Going into this era it was never my intention to have a lot of success or be quote on quote famous. I create music for myself and music that helped me. ‘Radiant’ was an album about my struggles and my thoughts on the world. Nothing else really. I find myself a little selfish for making my music for me, but the fact that so many people have been enjoying it has been amazing. I love that about music, people can relate to it and really grow together. That’s so special.
D: ‘Electrify’ is your third consecutive single to be certified platinum. Talk to us about how you feel about the song, and what it means to you.
C: ‘Electrify’ was a really sappy love song. It was never really more than that, but it was kind of one of the highest peaks on the rollercoaster that is ‘Radiant’. The guy I was with was the sweetest ever and I thought we were soulmates for a week or two. Didn’t last, but while it lasted it felt magical. The guy that I was with made me feel really different and it was really electric, hence the song title. While it was going, it was all I could think about in the studio so I wrote it. The label loved it, and so did the fans, and so we dropped it as the next single. i love following the fans lead, they always are honest with me. I’m so lucky to have the fans I have.
D: Your fans are really supportive of you, that’s so cool to see. Speaking of your fans, you toured for them worldwide through September to December last year. That’s a long time to tour, so how was it?
C: Touring is magical, one of the best things about being an artist in today’s world. It’s very impulsive each night because you want to put on a good show, and each night was a little different for me, so it never felt tedious. The fans are amazing, they always came to the back of the show, and I would chat with them before I left. I loved everything about touring, and i hope to do it soon. It was crazy though, as soon as we put new tour dates out, 16 of the 20 dates fully sold out. That was really cool for me, and I’m happy people were that supportive and ready to see me.
D: Before you perform, we’d like to ask you about your album ‘Radiant’. Despite it’s whole success, you just took a GRAMMY home for it last week. How does it feel to be a GRAMMY winner so early into your career, and what does ‘Radiant’ mean to you?
C: Winning a GRAMMY was so unexpected I was very surprised to say the least. Winning awards for me feels almost incorrect because once again I said, I do this music for myself, so when people award me, I don’t know how to feel. But it’s also so special. People who have the time to sit through your record and decide it’s good enough to win means a lot. ‘Radiant’ is an album that looks upon emotions that I went through while writing the record. It’s a very personal album. I love it and am so proud of it.
D: I love the album too, it’s so amazing to hear.
C: Thank you!
D: When we return, you’ll perform your new single ‘Electrify’ acoustically. Stay tuned!
PERFORMANCE
The performance for Charli has her sitting in a stool wearing the same clothes as the interview. She only has a guitarist and pianist with her, and they’re playing in a room full of greenery, obviously a studio however. Charli focuses on her vocals beautifully. You can watch the video on YouTube or on the TV program, Fuse now!

The promotion is in support of her newly gold certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the transcript of the conversation, held this morning. Charli also performed her new single ‘Electrify’ right after.
INTERVIEW
S: Our next guest has sold over 9,000,000 records in 2017 alone, and is one of the best selling debut acts 2017 had to offer. She just had her first GRAMMY win ever last year. Please welcome everyone’s favorite new star, Charli XCX!
C: [walks in, everybody cheers].
S: Thank you for coming, I’m so happy to have you here.
C: Thanks for having me, it’s nice to be here.
S: You just took home a GRAMMY on Friday, is that exciting to you?
C: Of course! Winning one feels surreal even to this day. I cannot believe it happened. There’s so many amazing aritsts there every night and I’m so happy that I even won anything. I’m so excited about it, that stage just has such a great feeling, having so many people respect you. It’s a real honor.
S: You really have earned that! Your music is just amazing and you were one of my favorite artists of 2017.
C: Oh thank you!
S: You’re welcome. Back to your GRAMMY, you won it for your fourth album, and your CAL debut album, ‘Radiant’. Talk to me about the inspiration behind that album, because it’s really an amazing album.
C: Thank you! ‘Radiant’ is an album about breaking down any walls someone has put around me, and breaking them. It’s about self acceptance, I had a lot of issues with it before the album. I spent a lot of time in my headspace of not thinking that way, and its so nice to finally be there. I hope anyone who listened to the album appreciates it. I made it for myself, and the way people have ben enjoying it has been really special.
S: You have your newest single, ‘Electrify’ out now, is it nice to finally have that out?
C: i’m so thankful for anyone who has enjoyed it. it means so much to me to see people still enjoying it. I’m happy about this single, it was such a nice track to write. I wrote it myself, and so it’s pretty personal, but not in a way that I’m ashamed. I’m so happy people still are fucking with it. It’s one of my favorites on the record.
S: On that note, when we’re back, you’re going to perform this new single for us. We’re so excited. Once again, don’t move, we’ll be back with Charli XCX!
PERFORMANCE
When the program came back, we see Seth standing holding a ‘Radiant’ vinyl. “Next we have the amazing GRAMMY winning superstar, here to perform her newest single, please welcome Charli XCX.” is how he introduces her. The camer now cuts to Charli standing within the stage, and she has a live band behind her. She performs the gold certified pop banger, with more of an acoustic style, since she’s playing with a live band. She exaggerates the vocals and shows off her talent. She dances with the song and even brings the bassist to the middle of the stage to dance with him. Once the performance ends, Seth Meyers reminds everyone ‘Radiant’ is out worldwide. Then, the show cuts to commercial.

CHARLI XCX WITH TEEN VOUGE
Charli XCX has just was awarded with a GRAMMY for her album ‘Radiant’. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli talked with the interviewer on the Teen Vouge YouTube channel. The promotion is in support of her newly gold certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the transcript of the conversation, held this morning. An acoustic version of ‘Electrify’ was also performed, uploaded in a separate video.
INTERVIEW
Kelly: We’re here with Charli XCX, how are you doing?
C: I’m good, it’s really cold in this studio. [she laughs].
K: It is! Someone needs to go fix that! Anyway, we’re so happy to have you here. You just went home with a GRAMMY win, how does that feel?
C: Fucking crazy! Sorry can I say that [laughs]. Anyway, it was surreal. I loved being at that event and being one of the newer artists to accept one. It feels surreal to this day, and I am so happy to be given this spotlight on ‘Radiant’. Winning an award for my record after so many amazing albums came out this year means so much. I’m so happy with everything.
K: You totally deserved it! I love that you got one, ‘Radiant’ is a great record!
C: Thank you!
K: The GRAMMYs weren’t the only big thing about your week however, you closed off 2017 with an amazing New Years Eve performance, talk to me where that inspiration for that performance came, I loved watching it.
C: Than you! I had a great time making it, it was meant to represent my 2017, and I was wondering that everyone there that night did the same. Everyone who was there was so supportive of the performance and I loved doing it. I love performing, I came back from my tour a few weeks ago, and it was so cool to step back onto a stage and perform. I love performing, it’s such a rush. I cannot believe I was able to end 2017 like that. It was amazing. Watching those performers was amazing, and everyone really took that stage and owned it.
K: Speaking of your tour, how was that? What was your favorite date to do?
C: Touring was spectacular. I loved doing it because meeting fans is surreal. They’re so amazing and their dedication is so amazing. I don’t feel like artists should be put on a pedestal of course, but I like to think i appreciate my fans just as much as they appreciate me. At every date I always came out of the back of the venue and met some fans, it was something I needed to do. Meeting them was amazing, they’re such good people. They’ve done nothing but support me, I’m so thankful for that. I hope to tour soon, it’s been such an amazing time. I miss it a lot. Onto my favorite date to play, that goes to the first date of my asian leg, which was held in a olympic gymnasium, and to my largest crowd ever. Not only that but it was the one year of ‘Rainstorm’, although I loved all my shows, that night was really sentimental. I enjoyed the crowd so much, and they were so amazing. I’m so happy I am given the platform to show off my art.
K: That must’ve been so cool! You were touring for your CAL debut album, ‘Radiant’ right?
C: Right.
K: So what is the inspiration behind that album?
C: ‘Radiant’ is an album about taking all the knives that are put towards you, and sending them back to the people who sent them towards you. It’s about self acceptance and loving yourself. It has a lot of themes about toxic love and people bringing you down but in the final song of the deluxe version, ‘Yellow Sun’, you see a much happier me. Which is really special. I love how many people enjoyed it, that means so much. I’m selfish. I make art for myself, and just hope some other people can connect to it.
K: I love that! You’re gonna perform your new single ‘Electrify’ now, which I’m so excited for! Thanks for sitting with me, loved having you.
C: I loved being here, thanks for inviting me.
The performance for Charli has her sitting in a stool wearing some shades and she has a the same clothes as the interview. She only has a guitarist with her, and they’re playing in a grey room, obviously a studio. Charli focuses on her vocals beautifully. You can watch the video on YouTube now!

CHARLI XCX ON AUSTRALIA IDOL
Charli XCX has just was awarded with a GRAMMY for her album ‘Radiant’. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli performed on Australia Idol. The promotion is in support of her newly gold certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the synopsis of the performance, held this morning.
PERFORMANCE
The stage is dark. All you see is a silhouette of Charli on the stage. She has two piece pink outfit, with some black accents. She has her black curls tied up in a ponytail and wears black stilettos. The instrumental begins and Charli gets ready to sing. She turns tot he side and titles her head back. She holds the microphone right above her mouth, and smiles. The verse comes and Charli sings it. She turns slowly to look right at the camera. She stands with one hand on her hip for the whole first verse. Right before the first chorus, Charli begins to gesture out some dancers, and flips her ponytail. The dancers file out on each side and Charli jumps up, and then does some choreo that is reminiscent of the her massive tour, ‘The Radiance Tour’. Charli smiles as she sings, and the chorus ends with the dancer surrounding her. The second verse arrives and Charli stops dancing and now struts to the front of the stage. She sings it with power, and the dancers begin a line behind her/ Before she starts the next chorus she spins and puts both arms out. The dancers behind her put out their arms, and so it looks like Charli has multiple arms, creating a generally cool effect. The song goes onto the bridge and final choruses, where Charli does the same choreo for the chorus as she did in the first one. For the bridge however, the dancers pick Charli up, and put her on their shoulders, and take her to the back of the stage. The dancers follow behind them. She sings the bridge on their shoulders, until she is put down. The two dancers holding her now make a doorway, and the dancers behind them jump out of the way as Charli struts down in a line. She smiles and then once at the front of the stage, she begins the chorus choreo.
Once the performance ends the host reminds everyone that her brand new single ‘Electrify’ is out now where music is sold. They are also reminded to request the song on radio, and to pcik up her GRAMMY awarded album, ‘Radiant’.

J: We’re so happy to have you, and can’t wait to get to chat with you. To kick us off, let’s talk about your recent New Years Eve performance. It was an a amazing performance and a great way to end the year for you. What was the inspiration behind the performance?
C: It was supposed to represent my year and all that happened. I’m happy with the performance and I’m very proud to end my 2018 like this. Performing is such a rush and since September to December I had been touring almost every week, so it was nice to get back on the stage. I missed it. I hope the performance came across well, i worked really hard on it.
J: At the end of the performance you teased some new music, when is that coming?
C: It’s coming really soon, i just have a few more things to tie up and then it’ll all come. You can’t leave something half finished, and that’s why I’m holding on a little longer to this era. But yes, it’s all coming. I’m excited to unveil it all very soon. Music is something I can’t rush anymore. So many artists I am around rush out albums for the hopes of better sales, and so many artists fall flat on their ratings. they have such good ideas but it’s the label pushing them so hard and that’s the dark side of this industry. I can’t be rushed, it just won’t work for me.
J: I totally see that, and I’m glad you’re that way. Back to your current music, talk to us about ‘Radiant’. It recently took home a GRAMMY, how does that feel?
C: The GRAMMYs are such a prestigious event, and amazing to attend. So many artists and creators come together to find awards for their work. Winning one felt unreal. I am so happy to have taken one home, that meant quite a bit for me. I’m so excited and lucky to earn one. Thank you to anyone who has supported me. The support is what keeps me going to make music and really motivates me. I love doing it.
J: You were on the few “new” artists to gain an award that night, and it was amazing to see. Before we go, let’s take a quick chat about your latest single, ‘Electrify’. It’s the third and last single from your album ‘Radiant’, and has been doing pretty well lately. How does that feel?
C: It feels amazing. My work being appreciated means so much and I really hope everyone likes it. I’m very excited to continue a few more weeks of promotion for it, and then it’s time to move on. the song is just infectious and so fun to perform. I hope everyone likes it.
J: And that’s all the time we have, thanks for sitting down with us Charli. He latest album ‘Radiant’ is available worldwide, which features the hits ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’, and the new single, ‘Electrify’. Here is her newest single now, ‘Electrify’.

CHARLI XCX PERFORMS NYE
Within the last few minutes of 2017, Charli wanted to start 2018 the right way with an amazing performance of her latest single, ‘Electrify’. The song has done  very well these past few days, and is only a matter of time until it comes Charli’s third platinum certified song. Her second solo one as well. She stuns the stage of New Years Rockin’ Eve 2018, here to perform the song now.
PERFORMANCE
Once the announcers announce Charli's performance, the camera pans to see the stage black. Then, a single light shines, and we see a glass pane. There stands Charli, and her back is to the stage. The sound of the muffled stems of 'Electrify' play, and Charli paces infront of the pane. The chords almost reach the first verse, but right before, the glass shatters. It isn't real glass however, it just cracks right down the middle, as plastic glass would. The chords stop, and all you hear is the shatter. The stage blacks. Smoke begins to pour out onto the blacked out stage.
Lights flash around the venue one at a time, and we hear the chords of 'Electrify' leading up the first verse. Figures begin to roam the smoke on all-fours, about 5 dancers are all you can see. Then, the chorus hits and we see Charli standing in the middle, hands on her hips. Dancers one at a time appear next to her, ending with three on each side. They are dressed in all black, and start to do. She's wearing a strapless latex black two piece, that ends right above her knees. She does some interesting choreography for the 'Electrify' chorus now, which mainly consists of Charli dancing with her own type groove, but it seems put together a bit more. She smiles as she sings, and the dancers follow her in her movements. She dances flawlessly, and does it effortlessly. The music cuts, and the dancers push her to the ground, and the sound of glass shattering sounds again. Charli spreads out on the floor, and the dancers leave the stage. Smoke leaves the stage, and the 'Electrify' chorus hits. Charli still lays on the ground, but the chorus hits and it is a capella for the first two lines. Charli gets up though, and as soon as she gets up, we hear the production for the song we know and love. She is alone on stage, but one by one, the dancers follow her out. one by one.
They march out, chairs in their hands, right in front of their torsos. One is placed behind each dancer, but they do not sit. Charli sings the final line of the chorus of 'Electrify' and struts to the front of the stage. The sounds of her heels walking echo across the venue. The dancers stay where they are. The stage lights up again, and spotlights hit the floor all over the stage, but only one spotlight at a time. Then, Charli stands there with a hand on her hip, and the microphone to her mouth, and she sings the bridge to 'Electrify', a capella. No background singers or background vocals help her, this is completely live. She smiles as she sings and the chords for the song come higher and higher in volume. The chorus hits and the production blasts through the room. Charli sings it with all her heart and struts back to the line of chairs, where each of her dances sit now. She walks behind them and with each word, each dancer falls down and off their chair.
Charli does it mercilessly as she sings. Each dancer gets up and stands once they fall, and once they do, Charli runs to the front of the stage, and so do they. They surround Charli and while she sings, her hair is now in pigtails. It's done well, and within seconds. Charli runs out between them and sings the last chorus to 'Electrify' with a huge boost of vocal ability. She finishes the performance in the same pose she did for the first line of the song and smiles as she let's the microphone fall to her side. Her dancer surround her kneeling. Lights flash all over the stage, and the final chords of 'Electrify' play, and Charli still stands. The stage blacks as the final chords hits.
Then, we see it. The number 5 is shown on all screens possible in a pink color. A loud bang hits. Then, a house instrumental begins. The number 2018 is shown as well. A new era is close. Smoke pours on the stage, and the stage blacks.

‘ELECTRIFY’: MAKING OF
Charli XCX has just finished her first worldwide tour, The Radiance Tour. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli  released never seen before footage of her making the ‘Electrify’ video. The promotion is in support of her newly gold certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the synopsis of the video, recorded when the video was made.
VIDEO
The video begins with, the person behind the camera yelling “Roll camera!”, and then the video cuts to a scene of Charli infront of the camera at the party, and she’s dancing. The words: ‘Electrify: The Making Of.’ The song ‘Electrify’ begins to play over it.
The song abruptly stops before the first verse, and we see Charli directly. She’s sitting in a chair getting her hair done. She says “Hello, everybody, this is Charli. We’re here on the set for the third single off my album ‘Radiant’. I’m really excited for this one.” Then, we get another shot of them recording it, Charli’s walking into the set. “We have this huge house today, and it’s really cool to set up. I had the idea for the video when I was writing the song, and I’m really happy it’s working out this way. It’s my third video directing for this era, and I’m really happy about it. We’re at the first set up of a two day shoot, and it’s time to go shoot it!” We see her walk into the huge house, and there are bunch of people in here. The camera is waiting for her under the purple lights, and she stands right infront of it. The music of ‘Electrify’ returns as we see her shoot multiple dancing scenes. They’re put into slow motion so she looks really graceful. Once she finishes dancing, the camera man yells, “That’s a wrap on day one!” and everybody cheers. Charli walks back and smiles at the camera that filming what we’re watching. Then, we  see Charli and her crew arriving to the alley where the second part of the video is filmed. Charli smiles and the video focuses on her. “We’re here on day two, in this dark cold alley way that doesn’t smell good at all. Things are going quite well!” she laughs. We see some clips of her on the motorcycle and running through the alleyway with a camera behind her of course, while ‘Electrify’ plays on top of it. We see her now by the harbor where her and the love interest almost kiss, and it only takes a few takes. Once that’s shot, we see Charli again in the same outfit, and she speaks “Well, that’s a wrap on day two. I had so much fun, and I hope you love it. You can watch th video now!”. The video ends when the camera flying up into the night just like the end of the video, and ‘Electrify’s final chorus playing over it.

CHARLI XCX ON CONAN
Charli XCX has just finished her first worldwide tour, The Radiance Tour. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli appears on the popular talk show, Conan for an interview and performance. The promotion is in support of her newly gold certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the trans-script of the the conversation, held this morning.
PERFORMANCE
The performance began with Conan. He introduced Charli with, “Here to make the first performance since wrapping up her worldwide tour, this is Charli XCX with ‘Electrify’!” He is holding a ‘Radiant’ vinyl while he speaks, and it is upright so you can see the cover. The camera pans to the stage, where Charli stands in a black jumper, that is covered in silver stones. Her hair is black and down, and she stands infront of the microphone stand. The microphone stand is black, and the microphone sits inside of it. The stage has bright white lights all over it, and they shine at the the instrumental begins. Charli has a pianist, drummer, and two bassists, and they play a stripped down version of ‘Electrify’, but it still has that flair that is in the studio version. Charli stands infront of the microphone, and keeps her hands on the microphone stand for the first verse. The chorus Charli lets a little loose and begins to dance behind the microphone stand. She has fun, and so does the band. The lights go crazy. For the next verse, Charli dances a bit more through the back of the stage and has a blast with her dancers. Lights flash from all sides of the stage, and Charli focuses on her vocals. She sounds great, and she dances well in her own element. During the bridge, the drummer goes faster and faster, and it almost seems as if it will reach a huge chorus, and when the chorus does hit, an array of huge lights that look like electronic volts, and sparks fill the stage. Charli sings the song with a smile on her face, visibility proud of everything that went down. The next chorus gets even bigger, and huge sparks rain down onto the stage. Non-real ones of course. The band goes crazy, and the overall feeling is beautiful. The performance ends and Charli hugs Conan, who has run on stage. He reminds everyone both ‘Electrify’ and ‘Radiant’ are out now, and then the show cuts to commercial.
INTERVIEW
Conan: Thanks for that amazing performance, give it up for Charli XCX everyone!
Charli: Thanks for having me, I always have a blast here.
C: We can tell, that performance was really something, [laughs]. So, thanks for istting down with me quickly, can you talk to me about this new single of yours, ‘Electrify’. What’s the message from it?
C: I don’t know if it really has a big message, it’s just me really in love for a short time in my life. I really wanted some happy songs on the record, and this feeling of happiness during writing ‘Radiant’, wasn't really that present. But, with ‘Electrify’ it was. And it was a great song to end off the era, because it shows how happy I have become. I’m so happy about that.
C: I can tell this happy energy you have, before you go, I’d lie to congratulate you on your GRAMMY nominations. Three for your album, which is doing really well still, congrats, and one for Best New Artist. Your music is just so fresh it’s exciting to see that being nominated.
C: Thank you so much. I didn't really consider awards when i put out my album. It was kind of in the back of my head. I don’t create music to be trendy, or acclaimed, or whatever it is to have a successful record in todays terms. It’s selfish really, but I release music for my own personal gain. I release what i want to. I’m not gonna create the same shiny clean pop record twice, or follow the trends. Of course I;m not cocky to say I create trends, which would be incorrect. Back to the GRAMMYs, it’s an honor. SO many artists I’m so excited for there, and so many amazing people performing. A night to remember definitely.

CHARLI XCX ON ANDPOP
Charli XCX has just finished her first worldwide tour, The Radiance Tour. Back on a promotional schedule, Charli appears on the popular Youtube channel ANDPOP for an interview. The promotion is in support of her newly gold certified single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the trans-script of the the conversation, held this morning.
INTERVIEW
Simon: Hello, we’re here with Charli XCX. Hi Charli, thanks for being here.
Charli: Hi, thanks for having me.
[Clip of ‘Falling Leaves’ video plays]
S: This is your first interview after wrapping up your tour. So, how are you these days?
C: I’m good. It’s really bittersweet though, because I love playing shows and meeting fans it means so much to them and means so much to me, so it was sad to see that end, but I’m really hoping that it can happen again. Fans are just so amazing to play for and see and I love meeting them. It means so much to them and means so much to me. I can’t wait to do it again
S: You’ve travelled worldwide for this tour, what was your favorite show?
C: That’s really hard but honestly the first show of the asian leg, which was in this huge gymnasium in China. It was my biggest venue, and was really crazy to play. It sold out within hours of being announced, and not only that, but my Fader issue came out, which was amazing, but it was one year since ‘Rainstorm’ came out s it was kind of emotional that night. I loved it though, it was really fun to play. One of the many things you learn while you tour is this type of grind that continues daily, and it’s hard to adapt. Not only that, but every show has a different energy and atmosphere, and finding it some shows can be hard. I really try to be in the same energy and such because it makes for a better show.
[Clip of ‘Rainstorm’ video plays]
S: I love that. It must’ve been really sentimental then. So onto your music, you were nominated for four GRAMMYs’, how does that feel?
C: Fucking insane. I don’t know, when I dropped ‘Radiant’ I didn’t expect anything award-wise, it was kind of emotional frustration and I was like “someone help me here [she laughs]. The GRAMMYs are really honorable but honestly I have mixed feelings on awards. I know so many artists who deserve to win, and yet their just not popular enough to get that recognition. I don’t know if I heavily agree with how award’s are done, because so much talent lefts hidden. I’m hoping it switches up this year, and some unexpected things win. I’d love o win some, it’d be an honor, but it isn’t life or death for me.
S: You definitely deserve to win those GRAMMYs, let me tell you. Wishing you the best luck there!
C: Thanks so much! It would be an honor but I’m not expecting anything.
S: Onto this new single you’ve got, talk me through ‘Electrify’.
[Clip of ‘Electrify’ video plays]
C: ‘Electrify’ was one of the last songs to make the record, and was written entirely by me. It is one of the most light-hearted songs on the record, which is hard to find. I’m so happy with the song, my good friend Patrik Berger produced it, and he does a great job with that aspect of the song. I really love the song, It might be one of the best on the record. He did most of the record and it’s really well done production wise. The song si about electric love, that’s it. I really anted tot talk about love and emotion and strong emotion is what caries the album so well. So, that’s what i wrote the song about.
S: I love the song, a great choice for a single. Was it your choice?
C: Of course, I control the era, but it was really the fans who made it happen. They enjoyed the song so much, and with that push from them it was a single. I am happy their enjoying it, and I am so happy with how it’s doing with their support.
S: Thanks for sitting down with me, I had a blast. You can buy Charli’s new single ‘Electrify’, which is on her CAL debut album ‘Radiant’ anywhere music is sold.

CHARLI XCX ON  91.1 FM
Charli just about to finish her first worldwide tour, The Radiance Tour. As she prepares to perform in Argentina, she called into 91.1 FM to talk her new single, ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’,  the song has a lot to live up to success-wise. This is the trans-script of the the conversation, held this morning.
INTERVIEW
Maria: Hi, welcome to 91.1 FM, today on the phone we have the amazing Charli XCX! Thanks for being here!
Charli: Thanks so having me, this is so exciting!
M: It must be! You’re about to play a sold out show to almost 5,000 people right?
C: Yeah I am, I’m still somewhat anxious but I’m so excited. The south american angels are always so sweet, I love them so much. Playing so many shows has also been such a blast, I cannot believe it’s almost over. This is crazy.
M: You’ve traveled the world for this tour, how does it feel for it to be almost over? I mean it must be somewhat exciting since you can move to other things, but also bittersweet since it’s over.
C: Exactly that. I’;ve choen to contiue to promote ‘Electrify’. I love that song so much, and it actually went gold this week, which is so crazy. Sow ith that excitement, I really can’t wait to hopefully bring the song even higher. But, the end of the era is near, and so that’s the bittersweet part. This era has been so good to me, it’s helped me plant my feet really well into music, and I’ll never forget that.
M: So, onto ‘Electrify’ whats the song about? I love the song, it’s just so fun production-wise, and the music video is so well done. It’s true you directed it right?
C: ‘Electrify’ might be one of the happiest songs on the record, which has been really nice to perform and such. With my last two singles, each one was about toxic shit, and so this was really happy and nice to perform. I was very excited about doing it. The songs meaning is about a guy that I was with for a little, and he was just the best ever. the way he made me feel when we were tgether was electric, hence the title. I came into the studio really late once everyone was gone and wrote and recoded a little demo and my producer really loved it. Patrik  was so sweet and it ended coming out so well. It was quickly added to the album, but it was really last minute.Onto the music video, I directed it myself, which was really fun. I have directed all music videos for this era, and that’s been really fun. Directing them myself has really let me be able to fully do my own work nd it’s not like I’m trying to control everything, I like to control it so if it’s bad, I can blame myself, and not some random director who I know didn't understand what I wanted to portray.
M: I get that, the videos have been amazing, do you have a favorite?
C: Honestly, it’s between ‘Rainstorm’ or ‘Electrify’. I liked ‘Falling Leaves’, but honestly it was kind of rushed for me. My label was really pushing for the song and it was doing so well, so it needed to come out as soon as possible. But, it is still a good video in my opinion. But ‘Rainstorm was my first self-directed music video so I have nostalgia towards it, and I really like the general aesthetic. “Electrify’ has been the biggest concept so far, so that was interesting. I liked it because of that, and the set was cool to film on.
M: Before you go, you already mentioned that ‘Electrify’ is gold, how does that feel? Is it something you’re proud of, or is it somewhat of an omen to keep pushing the single.
C: It’s really both! I love the song so much and seeing that is really inspiring for me to go even bigger with promoting and such. I hope it can get really bigt, to prove to people that this type of pop is something that can eb a trend. I want people to hear my music, since I worked so hard on it. I loved when ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’ were so big because I felt like I had made myself a name in music. I don’t want to be a one-shit-wonder of the girl on a Belinda song. I think I deserve to be known more than that. It’s personal greediness. Every artist releasing a song is a cry for attention. Musicians are greedy, we all worked so hard on our music and we want it to do well.
M: Thanks for calling with us today, have fun at tonights show!
C: Thanks so much, can’t wait to play it!

CHARLI XCX ON GMA
Charli just wrapped up her six date leg of her tour in Asia. Now, she is back on the promotional route to help better her new single ‘Electrify’. Following the two massively successful singles ‘Rainstorm’ and ‘Falling Leaves’, this song has a lot to live up to success-wise. She performed the newest single from her CAL debut, the song titled ‘Electrify’ on Good Morning America.
PERFORMANCE
The host stands infront of the stage, facing away from the stage. She holds a CD version of ‘Radiant’ and says, “Now, please welcome the massive superstar, selling millions of record worldwide, here to perform her newest single off of her platinum selling CAL debut album, please welcome Charli XCX with ‘Electrify’.
The camera shifts and so do the people behind the host, and they turn to see an outdoor stage. Charli is standing with her back turned to the camera, and she’s wearing a black cocktail dress, with some sunglasses. The stage has golden lights all over it, and a giant bolt of electrify, that looks like an emoji, spins clockwise behind her. The song starts and Charli turns around and poses. She sings the first line in this pose, and then each line and each bar in the production, her and her dancers make a different pose. For the third line of the first verse, Charli puts her left arm over her head, and the dancers take a knee on each side. She stays in this pose frozen until the line ends, and then the pose changes. The chorus hits and Charli brings her left arm to her side, and the dancers bring both arms to their side. At the same moment right before the chorus hits, they put their hands n their hips, and then the chorus hits. They start doing some quick choreography for the full chorus, but Charli does stop to put some emphasis on the words. The camera follows them, as they walk to each side of the stage. The bolt behind them quickens in speed of it’s spinning, and the color changes each turn. Then, the second verse Charli struts forward, and she meets some of the crowd. It’s good for her to take a break in dancing, since she is singing live. She walks over to the bass player and dances a little with him for fun. It’s effortless. The dancers continue a routine together, in the back of the stage. They do the same pose idea as the first verse, and do somewhat the same poses but just without Charli. The chorus hits and Charli joins the dancers again and they repeat the same choreography. They do the bridge in the same fashion as the verses, but seem to do more emotional poses, one even being holding Charli as though she is falling. But she bounces back for the final chorus with even more intricate choreography for the chorus. The performance ends and the host joins Charli on stage. She reminds everyone the song is available now and Charli thanks the crowd and hugs the host.
