Hiccup is such a kind and gentle soul. Everyone has taken off already and he'll be late, but what's more important to him is to gently coax the Windwalker, who's nervous and frightened (so much so that he's non-verbal) , instead of pushing him into flying after the rest.

I started httyd book 5 on the November 12th and finished on the 14th! (Info for me, I like to get track of time)

This was also an amazing one, I was totally NOT expecting that about Humongous and Valhallarama, I think that when she heard Stoick talking about him, Valharama probably felt relieved and emotional to know that he was actually alive, probably she felt guilty for his "death" maybe?

I just love THE TRIO SO MUCH

And I started httyd book 6 on the November 15th and finished on the 16th

This one was so wholesome!

I felt so bad for Hiccup, TOOTHLESS YOU ARE A MENACE DNKSKFDK

Even after the two incidents Hiccup was never upset with Toothless, I love them

Doomsday day 5 - tradition

In which i suffer for a pose that isn't even that great also a sketch i didn't end up finishing:

First day of doomsday!!

A lot of the stuff I'll be posting for doomsday is kind of old 😭 but i wanna use the pieces I have that ARE themed around a certain book on whichever days I can, so this one is an oldish piece of Hiccup and Merciless :]

The Deadly Shadows re-telling of how Fishlegs made it to Berk took me a bit to get through to be honest, because my eyes kept watering with tears, which made it hard to read the words, and I had to blow my nose pretty often, too.

Fishleg's parents are both dead. His mother died of heartbreak and grief of what she was made to do, but she loved him so much. She sent the Deadly Shadow to watch over and take care of him until she was strong enough to join them both.

But fate had other plans, and she succumbed to her illness.

And Fishlegs was lost to the sea, eventually washing up on Long Beach on Berk.

He had to endure so much misfortune.

But despite everything, he stayed loyal to his only friend, and he stayed hopeful, that his parents were out there somewhere.

They weren't. But his mothers love made it to him anyway, if 14 years late in the form of the Deadly Shadow. Fourteen years he lived, believing that no parent had loved him. And after fourteen years, he finally had confirmation that he indeed had parents that loved him. A mother that loved him so very dearly.

And in the previous book, too, Fishlegs was the only one who was loyal to Hiccup at the end of the swordfighting competition. The only one who stood with him, even after the slavemark was revealed. The most loyal friend anyone could ever ask for. Fishlegs was the smallest and weakest and unluckiest of all the vikings in probably the entire archipelago, but as far as bravery goes, he was the bravest and most loyal of them all. He didn't need big muscles or a sword for that. He believed in Hiccup, the only person who ever stood up for him, and gave him the most valuable thing he had to give. The only thing he had to show that he came from somewhere, that he came from someone, and he gave it to Hiccup, in front of everyone. A simple lobsterclaw necklace. The very necklace that would later save his best and only friend.
