I'm sorry, but this should come as a shock to absolutely no one.
Just a little bit of 'insider info' (and by 'insider' I mean I was a part of the beta testing crew a few years ago) Webtoons has been messing with AI tools for years. You can literally play test that very same AI tool that I beta-tested here:
Mind you, this is just an AI Painter, similar to the Clip Studio Colorize tool, but it goes to show where WT's priorities are headed. I should mention, btw, that this tool is incredibly useless for anyone not creating a Korean-style webtoon, like you can deadass tell it was trained exclusively on the imports because it can't handle any skin tone outside of white (trying to use darker colors just translates as "shadows" to the program, meaning it'll just cast some fugly ass shadows over a white-toned character no matter how hard you try) and you just know the AI wouldn't know what to do with itself if you gave it an art style that didn't exactly match with the provided samples lmao
And let's be real, can we really expect the company that regularly exploits, underpays, and overworks its creators to give a damn about the ethical concerns of AI? They're gonna take the path of least resistance to make the most money possible.
So the fact that we're now seeing AI comics popping up on Webtoons left and right - and now, an actual "Webtoon AI" branding label - should come as zero shock to anyone. Webtoons is about quantity over quality and so AI is the natural progression of that.
So yeah, if you were looking for any sign to check out other platforms outside of Webtoons, this is it. Here are some of my own recommendations:
ComicFury - Independently run, zero ads, zero subscription costs (though I def recommend supporting them on Patreon if you're able), full control over site appearance, optional hosting for only the cost of the domain name, and best of all, strictly anti-AI. Not allowed, not even with proper labelling or disclosure. Full offense to the tech bro hacks, eat shit.
GlobalComix - Very polished hosting site that offers loads of monetization tools for creators without any exclusive contracts or subscriptions needed. They do offer a subscription program, but that's purely for reading the comics on the site that are exclusively behind paywalls. Not strictly anti-AI but does require in their ToS that AI comics be properly labelled and disclosed, whether they're made partially or fully with AI, to ensure transparency for readers who want to avoid AI comics.
Neocities - If you want to create your own site the good ole' fashioned way (i.e. HTML / CSS) this is the place. Independently run, offers a subscription plan for people who want more storage and bandwidth but it only costs $5/month so it's very inexpensive, and even without that subscription cost you won't have to deal with ads or corporate management bullshit.
Be safe out there pals, don't be afraid to set out into the unknown if it means protecting your work and keeping your control as a creator. Know your rights, know your power.

Yes, yes, Sanji letting Zoro help in the kitchen by letting him chop vegetables because he's good with pointy objects.
BUT. Have you considered?
They live in a world without most electrical appliances. A FUCKTON of physical labor goes into baking (and keep in mind how often Sanji bakes treats for the girls).
Sanji being tired (physically) and not feeling like taking 10 min to whip whipped cream. Being tired (mentally) of Zoro making fun of him for never working out. Sanji saying "fuck it" and just starts putting him to work.
The foccacia dough needs to be kneaded? "Have fun working a sticky mess for 20 minutes, asshole"
Need meringue? "No, STIFF peaks marimo. Don't tell me you're wimping out already"
"Are you even TRYING to flatten that steak Marimo?"
"Yes, it needs whipped cream. YES, I know you just made some yesterday. We need more"
Zoro's shoulders are burning but he's trying SO HARD not to lose face with the cook and meanwhile Sanji is silently losing it at Zoro's shock that cooking can in fact be a workout
#zosan#sanji#zoro#strawhats#op#one piece#this post brought to you by my burning shoulders#i love bread but damn#also i have made whipped cream by hand before#yes it was a complete pain.#would not recommend#i think im gonna start tagging these posts#maybe.....#anime posting#?#good as anything for now i guess#...ok i realize schnitzel isnt baking but my point still stands#also#rereading this#beating meat#stiff#sticky mess#good lord there's just a whole host of innuendo here#obviously this could be platonic too i just automatically tag it as zosan

I like drawing Kuro. He's just a little guy :)
+ another one I like a little less under read more
And I'll use this read more to also remind everyone here that reblogs are better than likes. Support artists! Reblog their art! This doesn't just apply to me! Go through your likes and reblog the art you liked!
As always, image description is in ALT.
#dungeon meshi#kuro#traditional art#furry#kobold#anthro#I had a lot of fun with these. I hope it shines through :)#the original painting is actually quite large and is high resolution#but the website I use to host images doesn't allow files over 7Mo aha#fun fact: I drew these in front of a mirror. An alternative to live drawing with a model LOL#I recommend it. It's quite fun (and because the positions aren't always comfortable it forces you to be quick!)

Hello 👋
All of your favorite horniest sex scenes?
Hello! I've been busy, so this has taken forever to get to!
I don't always need the guys to bounce around on each other and gyrate enthusiastically for it to out as horny. Oftentimes, I find myself more drawn in by the building desire between the characters, and the explicit acknowledgement of release. I like when the sex feels like it's also revealing something to us about the characters. I've highlighted many of these before, but it's fun to revisit.
Ghost Host, Ghost House Episode 4 Couch Scene
youtube
I will never get over this scene, and especially the director's cut of it. These guys knew they liked each other almost instantly, and it was so rewarding to see them reach a place where they could express that. Bonus points for discussing the logistics of gay sex.
This show has been on Gaga and YouTube for a while, but it's also now available on Viki!
La Pluie Episode 6 Floor Scene and Episode 7 Bed Scene
I liked this scene so much that I wrote about it. Again, there's a lot of anticipation between these two, and you can tell how far it's built up because Patts has to dial it back down when Saengtai wants to stop. It's especially important to me because Saengtai does blow Patts in the next episode. If you're on iQIYI, there's an extended cut of that at the end of the video lists.
Mood Indigo: The Post-Funeral Scene
These two are so horrible for each other, but damn are their sex scenes compelling. Theirs are the kinds of scenes only possible between two people you know can never work long term. I was so glad that we got back to Haruhiko in Playback, and the first thing he did was blow Rio in a car. If you haven't seen the Novelist, and you're itching for hornier BL, it's right there.
The End of the World With You "You're Soaked"
From the same team as The Novelsit, we got to experience baby's first fuckboy in this incredible show. Again, I love when we get scenes with couples who aren't ready to work, because they're allowed to have raunchier sex. They get to amp the intensity of the physicality because they need to give a reason why someone was so caught up and missed the warning signs. I actually love the car scene later as a more romantic intimacy scene, but we're focusing on horny here.
Jack o' Frost Birthday Sex
A common theme here with the Japanese offerings is that people are allowed to have more interesting sex scenes right before they split. This is true even in Jack o' Frost. We get a really great oner from the leads that precedes their breakup and Ritsu's accident. I think this might be my favorite of this list because the actors have to build the entire scene together since there aren't any cuts.
Gameboys 2 Bed Scene
Cairo and Gav are one of my favorite pandemic couples we got on screen, and I was quite relieved for them when they finally got to have this moment. We also confirmed they switch, and I love that.
Wedding Plan: Namnuea Showing Off His Stamina
No list for me would be complete without including them. I really loved seeing two gay men go at it after clearing out all of their misunderstandings. They had already had sad goodbye sex. It was thrilling to see them having enthusiastic, athletic sex. This also leads directly to one of my favorite emotional payoffs for a closeted character of all time.
Kiseki: Dear to Me Reunion
The second couple stole this show, but damn if I didn't love the way these two played out sex across multiple years between their characters. These two really suffered, and I really love the way Taro Lin and Hsu Kai captured the changes between these two as Bai Zong Yi grew and matured. This really was a solid sex scene.
Love Class 2: Sungmin and Joo Hyuk
I just really wanna thank them for reassuring me that if Korea wanted to, they could deliver.
Sleep With Me Jeans Scene
I am not a lesbian, but I share their beliefs. This scene was so good. I loved that these two, who have different kinds of disabilities, were able to have a very fun sex scene. I really like when it's clear both characters want to be there.
Only Friends: Boston and Top in the Car
Despite my eventual disdain for this show, I was impressed with Neo and Force for giving this incredibly selfish sex scene between their characters. This entire scene is about injured egos, and it's a standout scene from this show. We won't discuss the rest of the show here.
Thanks for the ask!

As an anime fan I am ashamed to have only just realized this.
The entire time I was watching Apothecary diaries I loved Maomao and Jinshi both. I kept wondering who they reminded me of until...
He's just like Tamaki for Ouran hshc!!!!
My child!!!
Also Maomao is very similar to haruhi. Gosh I forgot how much I loved this anime.
I can't believe it took mushrooms for me to realize this.

i was wondering when tower unite would go on sale again so i can convince more people to get it and play it with me and then a few minutes later i got a notification saying that it's currently part of a humble bundle! so if you've been interested in tower unite, you can get it (for a minimum of $16) and these 6 other games at a discount
also i should say for those who don't know, "multiple minigames supporting up to 16 players online" is only one of many features and a huge understatement of the amount of things you can do in it. it's a social, arcade, and sandbox game all in one, with tons of customization options for your condos (including the option to upload or use workshop furniture. you even get a nice free starter condo!), avatar (you can upload or use any model on the game's workshop and equip accessories to it), and even the ability to build custom maps for any of its game modes!
and speaking of accessories, the halloween event starts in just a few days and the accessories are my personal favorite part of that (tho there'll also be lots of activities and things to collect in the plaza), so if you like avatar customization, you won't wanna miss out on those anyway. get tower unite. i've been a regular player for years and i love it, and there's also no microtransactions, every item in it is bought with in-game currency you earn by just playing games, earning achievements, ranking up in games or hangout areas (which you can do even just by spending enough time in those, skill is not an issue), and some items are unlockable by meeting EXP milestones so come goof around and play minigames with me and i can give you a tour and maybe show you some stuff i made lmao
#sorry this sounds like an ad i just take every good opportunity to try to get people to play tower unite#my only disclaimer is that some of the userbase is kinda shitty and you could also potentially see anything in peoples' condos#but you can choose whether to see custom images (honestly i'd still recommend allowing them in most cases because everyone uses them)#and you can also block or mute people of course. or ban or kick them if you're hosting a condo/have permissions to do so in someone else's#but my experience with the game is still mostly positive. i've met some great people through it too. including my gf :)#it's a fun game with tons of stuff to do

honestly my state's pride was ultimately underwhelming this year for me, but i gotta say it's...somewhat nice that it can be boring? like im so accepted and validated by people in my life that pride no longer feels like (for me) an escape or outlet. i attended this specific event with my mom in 2018 and it was my first pride event. i was still in high school. i remember it literally brought me out of a deep depressive episode for a bit, because of how fun and affirming and safe it was. it was a celebration of me and people like me!
but now i kinda get that everyday in my life. so pride really only offers me a chance to hang with some friends, day drink, smoke weed in public, and pick up freebies at every tent. it's basically like any other holiday to me now. but isn't that amazing? that im so accepted and loved and celebrated as a whole queer person, that i can take something like pride for granted?
i'm super thankful for that. i'm still super thankful for pride.
and, i gotta say, it was really touching to see so many middle school and high school aged kids there, sometimes with their parents and sometimes by themselves. i hope they one day can find pride as "boring" as i do. i hope every queer person can.
#im stoned and feeling sappy waaaaaaaaaaaaaah#i love the queer community i love you all sso much#also i gotta say its interesting attending huge pride events like this#but then also going to the conservative rural small town ones#if you ever get a chance to go a pride event in a conservative area i recommend going#these people organizing it sacrifice a lot to get this done#one family i know literally got chased out of town for hosting a pride event which consisted of#a fashion show. a dog costume show. karaoke. cupcake decorating. planting sunflowers. and like. a cockatiel handler bc birb cool.#chased out of town. for regular ass things that were just rainbow flavored#those prides arent boring to me theyre so fuking integral and frankly still a form of protest#so yeah go to your local pride in a conservative area#but anyways thats a completely different topic why tf am i talking aout this in the tags

Extremely topical podcast episode for Umineko fans!
Basically goes into the history and development of mystery and crime fiction in Japan from its beginnings in the 1800s to now, and in particular the revival of logic-based classic detective stories that happened in the 90s and 00s which was probably an enormous influence on Umineko as a work! All without spoilers too! Lots of really interesting works are mentioned that are probably spiritual predecessors on the mystery trick front to Umineko (based on their descriptions I can’t attest to them personally having not read any yet, but many, in particular are really strikingly reminiscent of umineko’s mystery tricks ).
#This is an incredible podcast in general for anyone interested in Japanese literature#it’s both rigorously researched and extremely accessible#(the host makes a point of only talking about works available in English translation).#If you enjoy this episode I recommend checking out the other episodes dealing with Japanese genre fiction#The ones covering specific moments in time are also incredible and really insightful#Umineko#text

hi everyone!!
i’m coming to ask for your opinion on two interactive stories i want to write. there hasn’t been any coding since i want to get all the foundation fixed. i want to know which one you all seem most interested in or something you can see yourself enjoying!
1. historical romance (based off of bridgerton): after the passing of your older sibling, the heir to the throne, you are tasked with the accession. once known as the spare, you are thrusted into the limelight. since social season is coming up, the king and queen have decided that the season should be circled around you finding your match. will it be for love? will it be for the best of your country? or will it be purely for yourself.
this includes four romance options, and i was thinking it would be a locked play through (each romance option will have their own story and you won’t be able to change it once set). i will try and make it as inclusive as possible while keeping the setting true
2. slice of life in hollywood (notes say nepotism!!): a story that follows the epic highs and lows of being a child of an a-list acting family. from the connections you can make to the nightlife that is truly a once in a lifetime experience, the world is your oyster (thanks to your parents money and fame). live life as a nepo baby that is navigating through their blessed life. live life of a nepo baby trying to make their mark in the acting world. are you using your parents name for your own person vendetta? are you going to work hard for what you want and acknowledge your privilege? or does the white powder ok the table look fun?
this includes five romance options. this is also supposed to be morally ambiguous. people are people and hollywood can show people their true colours and how greed and fame can ruin the best id people. you’re in your twenties and nothing matters except your parents credit card!!

9 Anime to Watch to Feel Like This 👇🏾
I love how long it's been since I've done any rec's lists before pushing two new ones out. Since my blog tends to have a bit of a reputation, this one felt necessary. In no way is this an exhaustive list, but if you're looking for some LGBTQIA+ representation this month, consider tuning into any of the below. While shonen ai and yuri will of course have representation, I tried to focus on mainstream stories where possible with characters that tackle their identity or where it's not necessarily a plot point but simply a recognized component of who they are. Bonus manga recommendations at the end! Happy Pride, beloveds. ✨
Zombieland Saga (series) - Something, something about stars burning brightest not lasting as long. This is the story of an idol group of zombies who were inexplicably resurrected to bring attention and culture back to the Saga prefecture. Enter Franchouchou forged by starlets who'd died far too young, seeming victims of some unspoken curse. Follow along as each of the girls reconcile the loose ends of their human lives while making the best of their second chance at stardom. ✨
Sub/Dub | Crunchyroll
Blue Period (series) - Who you are isn't something that's readily apparent especially in your teenage years. For Yaguchi, he starts a bit behind the curve realizing in his junior year that he wants to pursue art. While the story centers around his journey to catch up with his peers, there's an element of self exploration and vulnerability that he can't quite tackle alone.
Sub/Dub | Netflix
Komi Can't Communicate (series) - Arguably the first slice of life romance to hit the list but the character who inspires the series' inclusion is not involved. This is the story of a girl trying to overcome crippling social anxiety and the boy who patiently helps to expand her social circle (even though the girl's actually really popular??). Yea, it's one of those shows. While I haven't specifically tried to out characters in describing recommendations, I included this show specifically for Najimi Osana who, while their sexuality is not particularly explored, still has very Be Gay, Do Crime energy with the way they are always looking for an ever so slightly sheisty angle. Like, good for you. The fact that they are also extremely popular and accepted by their millions of friends is just another reason to adore them.
Sub/Dub | Netflix
Ouran High School Host Club (series) - This particular throwback is a dicier inclusion than the last, namely because of the antiquated (and, at times, offensive) language that doesn't particularly hold up in a rewatch today. The show centers around a group of affluent "boys" who cater to the whims and fantasies of well connected girls at their high school. This frequently involves a bit of overdone fetishization of their own questionable sexualities and, while most of the gang is referred to as the "homosexual supporting cast", I can't dismiss the feeling that there is some earnest representation specifically with the lead that most of the hosts have a romantic soft spot for. It's a cult classic but undeniably outdated; however, I think, in the representation it does well, there is diversity. In what the series does poorly, it opens up dialogue especially for conversations people simply weren't having back when the show dropped.
Sub/Dub | Crunchyroll, Hulu
Sailor Moon (series) - Can't forget the OG. I think what, inherently, inspires the inclusion of Sailor Moon and OHSHC above is the fact that, even then, there were small rays of hope in media. How well or poorly it was executed goes to show the evolution of that representation. Spoilers but, for context, in the US, the couple above was censored and portrayed as unusually close cousins rather than romantic partners. Granted, there were a lot of other choices that were made back in the 90's that have since been corrected as the series has been remastered.
Sub/Dub | Hulu, Prime Video, Pluto TV
Ranma 1/2 (series + movies) - OKAY, I know I called Sailor Moon the OG but.. for all intents and purposes. Ranma 1/2 precedes even Sailor Moon. I would say the series, at times, may teeter a bit on whether the representation is positive or not but, I maintain that a significant portion of the cast is queer as hell. The series follows eponymous person of legend, Ranma Saotome, in a quest to become a "man amongst men" as though their life depends on it.
Sub/Dub | Hulu, Prime Video, Tubi
Stars Align (series) - While I think most of the above can be considered positive or negative representation, they are at least not trauma porn in nature. Enter: Stars Align, a moody coming of age story set as an underdog tennis club tries to defy all odds and avoid being disbanded. While I wouldn't classify this as trauma porn either, it does delve into some viscerally heavy topics while also tackling the act of Becoming for a group of young boys and what that can mean with a support system of unlikely peers.
Sub/Dub | Hulu, Crunchyroll
Wonder Egg Priority (series) - As we've departed to delve into darker themes, the premise of this show centers around teens who have dealt with instances of suicide and, subsequently, learning to stand up for themselves in real life (while violently battling it out in a dream world).
Sub/Dub | Crunchyroll
Jujutsu Kaisen (series + movie) - wholesome inclusion to remind you that you should never let your sexuality nor your gender identity stop you from pursuing world domination. Representation is equal opportunity and of little consequence to this story and, yet, considerably diverse for a shonen series. Don't get me wrong, it's a battle horror anime where kids are battling curses and plot armor is hard to come by so prepare to get your heart broken.
Sasaki and Miyano (series and movie) - There will never come a time where I don't recommend watching this series. Actually wholesome romcom wherein there's a patient level of acceptance and support as Miyano navigates the confusion of his feelings for a clingy senpai. Because there should be more unproblematic love stories in the world. 💕
Sub/Dub | Crunchryoll
BONUS MANGA
Is Love The Answer? by Uta Isaki, completed
While the main story focuses on a character navigating their way under the Ace Umbrella, the story features additional characters on their own journey of self discovery with resources for Questioning readers sprinkled throughout. It's also a great example of how broadening your media intake can create a better sense of understanding with who you are and how you identify with grace so you don't have to be so quick to label yourself.
The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy At All by Sumiko Arai, ongoing
Adorable story of opposites that find a middle ground together which drives home the idea that you should never judge a book by it's cover.

˚ ༘♡ some of my fave shoujo anime ♡ ༘ ˚
1. Natsume Yuujinchou
i can’t express how much I love this anime. i just want to hug Natsume because he really didn’t deserve what he’s been through (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥) but it’s so touching to see him finally find people who understand him and care for him ‧⁺◟( ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ ·̫ ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀ ) ps. same author as hotarubi no mori e, made me cry almost every episode.
2. Lovely Complex
this is my favorite in the romcom genre ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ i really love the dynamic between Risa and Otani; they’re perfect for each other. their relationship is everything I’ve always dreamed of—have ups and downs, but they always find a way to work things out. the anime perfectly combines romance and comedy.
3. Skip to Loafer
i really recommend this anime to anyone who enjoys coming-of-age, romance, and comedy. it shows what high school life is really like, and the characters feel very relatable and easy to connect with. mitsumi is my favorite; she’s so kind and pure, and I wanna be like her. this show is super wholesome, and I can’t wait for the next season! ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´-
4. Ouran High School Host Club
this is one of the best reverse harem anime out there. it’s such a fun show to watch, and all the characters are lovable ◟( ˃̶͈◡ ˂̶͈ )◞ the female lead isn’t a damsel in distress; she can definitely stand up for herself ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ just a note: before watching, you might find the twins a bit weird, but keep in mind it’s for fan service since they’re literally hosts, and they don’t act like that all the time.
