Ever since the show aired, I've wanted to write a mortal AU fic where Percy knows something is wrong with him and tries to get help but when he talks to Sally about it, she says there's nothing wrong with him. He's just special. He's half god.

And he isn't.

But now that cat is out of the bag and Percy just has to live with his mother's delusions (and reevaluate his entire life and his mother) and try to find actual help for his problems. While also not revealing that his mom is insane and this is why he's never been to the doctor before.

just watched ‘in a violent nature’

hard recommend for anyone who likes more experimental horror movies! it’s filmed from the killer’s perspective and was very understated but still had some fantastically disgusting kills and made me want to shriek with laughter in the theatre lol

it was just really really good and i genuinely found myself sympathizing with the killer more than anything (which i feel like was kinda the intention but still- very well done) and i also walked out of that theatre with some new realizations about myself that must never see the light of day lmao

10/10 movie i cannot wait to see it again!

alright, i don't think we have time for Shazam! tonight, but i wanna ride the James Wan high after Aquaman still so. since i haven't actually seen any of those movies, certainly not in their entirety (i've maybe seen a scene or two on TV at some point, and i've seen the spoof in one of the Scary Movie movies like over a decade ago.), let's watch Saw (2004). i don't know literally anything about it other than the fact that Jigsaw is a character and he sets up traps or something. the bestie loves it so i don't expect it to be anything other than phenomenal and i entirely trust James Wan at this point so, let's do this. now seated for Saw (2004).

so the guy who lives below me is an asshole (for a multitude of reasons including but not limited to: parking his dumb giant subaru so cockeyed in the middle spot that it only could have been done drunk, handwriting an hoa check so bad it gets flagged for fraud by the bank twice, leaving dog poop in bags on his deck so long that the rats start getting bold) but he’s moreover an asshole for being a Grateful Dead fan with a shitty sound system which means I hear the same thumping bass line for upwards of 40 minutes to the point where I am now playing my horror movies across my homepods (which are in every room) at top volume where it rattles my glasses so I hope this dude likes the shining

I need to tell you about this spooky bakery.

So after hitting the pharmacy today, me and mom decided to stop at this bakery with good reviews. First we couldn't find it, driving around in circles for a bit before we found it. It was one of a few businesses that had set up inside a repurposed schoolhouse, so we drove around to the entrance at the back. Walk up to the door. Good so far!

Until I open the door and look down a hallway that looks like this:

Me remembering every horror movie scene set in a school ever:

For a long moment, my Danger Senses discuss the hallway with my Desire For Delicious Cookies. My Desire For Delicious Cookies manages to convince us to walk a little further.

Maybe, I think, it only looks dark from the doorway. Surely it will get better.

It does not get better, because as I move away from the sunlight, the hallway becomes this.

I have seen horror movies like this. I have yelled at dumbasses for going down darkened hallways just like this. I have seen a million meme about these scenarios. I am genre aware.
