For the last few months I've been making a massive effort to draw a bunch of friends from a specific group I'm in !!

It's funny how much inspiration you get when it isn't someone else's EXE OC or some official, unpaid work that you need to get done by a set deadline. Most of these were done in the same night if not the other half was done in another night. I genuinely think I'll have a blast drawing the next ones...

I want to write some stuff for this but am actively nodding off so y'all just get an info dump before I forget it instead. (My baby loftwing being all fluffed and happy on my chest is not helping me focus lol)

I think it would be pretty neat if he was hard of hearing. The mix of Hylian/Zora genes mostly goes fine, but that's the one thing that just gets him. Part of it is because Zora and Hylian ears are different - Zora ears are small openings hidden under the side fins on their heads, and we all know about Hylian ears. Zora rely on different hearing sensors when underwater, hollowed out structures in their heads that allow, essentially, for echolocation. Miphlink baby is born with Hylian ears tucked behind thinner side fins, no structures for echolocation, and not the best hearing. So Link and Mipha have to sign with him most of the time, though he does hear a little better underwater since sound travels better underwater.

While Mipha's color scheme for her scales is like crystla red and creamy white, baby's color scheme is a lighter shade of red paired with Link's skin tone. He doesn't have claws, either, but he does have sharp incisors. He's got his dad's blue eyes.

As for size, when he's full grown he'll stand around the height of an adult Hylian man, so he'll be taller than his dad but short by Zora standards (I figure Mipha seems pretty short for her people's standards too - she is a teenager, of course, but like... she's shorter than Link. Girl is tiny). He's got the structural fins like any Zora, but his body proportions are those of a Hylian (longer legs, shorter torso, whereas Zora are shorter legs and longer torso).

He grows at a rate similar to Hylians - Zora age twice as slow as Hylians until they hit adulthood, and then they just... are adults for a million years. But Miphlink baby grows roughly at the rate of a Hylian, maybe a little slower, and the rest of the Domain is just floored at how fast this kid is hitting his growth milestones.

He definitely has that cute "head tail is too big for his body" thing going on that Sidon had <3

Quick psa to Acolyte shippers because I'm starting to see some stuff already *heavy sigh*:

If your ship got confirmed/actors talked about it etc, good for you!! That's really cool and I'm happy for you!! WITH THAT SAID- your ship being confirmed, doesn't mean you're like "the chosen one", the "correct one", or the "only one valid". I'm already seeing people coming after other Acolyte ships that haven't been "comfirmed" and like.... There is already so much toxicity in the Star Wars Fandom already, please don't create more.

Don't be that person. Don't bully others because their ships are not "confirmed" and such.

This is about fake people in fake space for God's sake, but people behind screens, creating fanworks (arts, edits, writing etc), they're REAL and coming after them to mock them or bully them, that's not the way to go bestie.

Create the arts, writings, fics, edits, ANYTHING you want for your ship(s).

Use your time for this, not to bully others.

There is already such a huge negative impact (we're talking racism, homophobia and more) created by some """""""fans""""""" of the franchise since the Acolyte has been out, please do NOT create more issues, or bully people because they do not like the same things/ships as you and such.

Some people like sunsets, some prefer christmas lights and some enjoy flowers! Does that mean one is wrong? Fuck no! We're better than this, we've been following the franchise for days, weeks, months, YEARS even, DECADES! It's not hurting anyone to accept some principles of the Jedi:

"Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others. Jedi respect all life, in any form."

Let's be respectful towards each other and celebrate the fact that creations and this beautiful franchise brought us together, made us meet so many new people and friends. If you don't like something, scroll or block, but NEVER bully.

Field Guide to Encounters with The Glow, Part 3: Type 3 Infected AKA Mimics (Stages 1-3) Mimics are a fairly new addition to the unfortunately growing archive of infected types and their stages. There is hope more mutations won't occur, but given the wild nature of the Mimic, that hope is slim at best. Type 3 infected are known for a few things: 1. They are about as intelligent as your average predator, their knowledge consolidated primarily in their hunting skill. Otherwise, they are mentally on the level of animals. Fluttershy has requested to be given a docile subject, with the intention of learning if her talent works with Mimics the same way it does other creatures. Request is still pending approval. 2. Mimics are in constant pain, the strain of moving on broken, deformed legs causes a great deal of pain and stress. This often results in heightened aggression, especially in stage 3 where aggressive behavior increases exponentially over time. That is, unless 3. Taming, when done properly and patiently, is possible. Mimics need to be kept fed and- preferably- full, in order for them to be tamed. A tamed Mimic is a safe Mimic, allowing for you to pass by them without fear. However, even a tamed mimic will turn on you if exposed to too much light. This is likely a mix of fear and pain response, as light burns them. How to avoid Wild Mimics: . Try to travel during the day, when most infected tend to be dormant or less active. Avoid very dark areas that are hard to see in, primarily abandoned homes and buildings. Second stage Mimics will seek out any empty structure they can in the night and will 'nest' there, coming out into the building's moon-cast shadow to stand watch and hunt, they stay this way through stage 3, possibly indefinitely if they don't progress to 4-A or 4-B. . If you must travel at night, keep your eyes and ears peeled. Most Mimics have pustules growing close enough to the surface that you can spot a faint green glow from around fifteen feet away. Mimics don't immediately attack, as they prefer to lure and ambush prey, but if they know that You know the ruse, a Mimic will give chase. If you see one, keep to areas with moderate lighting and move slowly away. . Absolutely do NOT travel during New Moons, the New Moon that occurred over the last month has revealed Mimics will wander freely- if slowly- when there is no moonlight to impede them. Princess Luna, who has moved herself from Canterlot to Ponyville, has placed several lights through town to create pseudo-barriers against the beasts. . Keep light on you at all times. If you keep your distance, shining a light on a Mimic will deter them from drawing closer and may make them flee. . If you hear a voice, but don't see anyone, assume a Mimic is nearby and remain on guard. A stage 1-3 Mimic's lure can be identified through asking oneself these questions: Is it repeating itself? Is the voice Monotone or expressive? Are there other infected nearby (Growlers, Watchers)? Would they respond coherently if I talk back? If your answers are Yes, Monotone, Yes, and No, then you are dealing with a Mimic. How to Identify a Mimic is nearby: . Low, almost imperceptible repetitive vocalizing. (Example: "Hi, Hi, Hello? What, How are you? Yes, How are you? I'm good, Hello?") They often vocalize at themselves when not hunting. . Creaking noises near windows, in dark spaces. . Open windows in abandoned buildings, with signs of blood or viscera. Mimics will drag prey through windows and doors into their nests to eat in peace. . Pained grunting, the sound of rapid shuffling. Mimics struggle to move on their legs. They either quickly shuffle/skitter while dragging themselves across the floor- or they vault themselves forward to reach prey faster. Can you fight a Mimic? Yes and No. Mimics become harder to kill as they progress through the stages, until eventually they are outright unkillable. In the Next installment of the Field Guide, we will discuss Stages 4-A and 4-B, the 'Apex' predators of the Mimic population.

sometimes i consider writing about aus of the saiki k gang just in the universes of other fandoms i like (ie: the steven universe kubosai idea i posted) and then i realize that like.. it almost never works because saiki would be a totally different person if they all lived in a universe where supernatural powers were accepted and he had people around him with similar experiences..
