Midnight Headcannons for Hiveswap/Friendsim Characters (Part 1)

These may be very well liked, or very controversial idk. If you write a fic (unlikely but who knows) based on any of these then PLEASE lmk. Part 1 because some I may feel uninspired + I don't wanna do all of them in one post. Xefros Tritoh: THE BOY HIMSELF.

He is a semi closeted midwest emo (I mean look at him) and a fully closeted stereotypical emo aesthetic enjoyer.

Ever since he started the Grubbels with Dammek, he's actually gotten quite good at singing, and rapping. (this is based on the line that Dammek passive aggressively hinted that Xefros needed vocals practice, and If I were Xefros my insecure ass would start practicing REGULARLY.)

If he were not plagued by constant anxiety he would sleep a lot, and be a very sleepy person (Sloth lusus). Or rather he requires more sleep than the average troll, and when he gets it he's very energetic. Because of his training with Dammek to "sleep anywhere" this would result in him frequently falling alseep while standing if he didn't get his proper sleep.

I want him to kill Trizza with a baseball bat. Off with their heads and hit a home run. Preferably with a baseball bat covered in nails.

He's trans. That one's not from me I've heard it tho and it's cute as hell imo headcannon immediately accepted.

His crush is a tealblood "reporter" (hobbyist photographer and blogger) who wears rollerskates (manic pixie dream boy.) I say this purely because Idk what traits Idarat and Tegiri have over Tagora besides being more masc and having glasses. And they are both not rat men unlike Tagora (/aff). Anyway because of lack of information I say what I want.

Last one because I genuinely feel like this was in the game but I'm not. Certain. Anyway Xefros looks so generic that so long as he isn't wearing his sign it would be genuinely impossible for any drone to find him based on his face. Dammek:

He got most of the parts for the weapon off of trolls craiglist

he will either instantly obliterate Jude's sense of self and self worth and have to work up from there to realize he needs to be nicer or he'll lose his moirail (he already has) or he will be shockingly ok to Jude and just be closed off and he will have to work up to expressing affection normally instead of survivalist training.

he's a little robotics geek he will get his hands on a cell phone and fucking destroy it when he gets to earth./joking to early. He MAY destroy a tv. I think based on his building skills he would be fascinated by earth technology.

the cameras installed in Xefros' hive have lasers. Xefros does not know this.

He gets his fancy normal disks from mallek (I've also heard this from another person- I would credit but I can't find it at the moment) Mallek:

He actually knows a mutant which makes him being "cool with mutants" an even weirder more awkward thing to say

he bullies people on 4chan. The homestuck earth equivalent of 4chan. But still earth. he finds it informative and he likes giving their computers the types of bugs that will make them only play slitherio.

His strife specibus is a serrated curved dagger (snake fang like almost)

He has a snake tattoo on his right thigh.

He intends to get sleeve tattoos, he just hasn't perfected the design yet, or found someone he trusts to do it.

He keeps oblong meat products in his house in case Diemen ever wants to crash.

He's going to give Xefros a piercing when Xefros becomes an emo boy /hj Joey: (I know she should've come first but she's not one of my favouritesss-)

Joey would lose her shit if she saw the barbie movie or Murdoch Mysteries

On a similar note, she would do barbenheimer for/with jude

She has a slight fear of clowns now (reasonable)

when she gets scared while on alternia, she looks up at the sky, and the stars, and thinks of her mom

I think that Joey and Marsti have an excellent opportunity to get along. A vet is just a doctor for a different species after all, and I'm sure just as Joey would be eager to learn Marsti would be eager to teach and get a bit flattered and someone respecting her aspirations and knowledge. Marsti:

In the route where Marsti ditches the player at Gahlek's house, she steals a book on her way out

I’m betting lynera comes back as a rainbow drinker.

I’m piecing together my troll biology headcannons and just hit a segment on rainbowdrinkers that got me thinking of this theory I’ve kicked around for like a year but never posted. Hiveswap 2 introduces a thread on rainbow drinkers that I can see being resolved by one being revealed in a later installment.

The only character I can imagine for the role: Lynera

The neutral ending of the trial has her thrown off the train and presumed dead. Just as kanaya was presumed dead after being shot. If we can assume one circumstance is an inciting event, than we should assume the other could be too. The rage influence of her viriborn sign also makes me think she has the potential to persist further than we’re led to believe.

Baizli’s body is leaving a blood trail (and ambiguously severed head) for her to hone in on. The likely carnage at the scene of the derailment and possibly more major npc deaths may continue the trail even later into the game.

I don't think I really do yet? It might be that I'm waiting to meet everyone.

I will say I think Mallek and Zebede would both drink way too much Monster (or rather, the Alternian equivalent), but for different reasons

So because I got into hiveswap, after burying homestuck proper for, like, 9ish years, and I have come up with the best headcannon.

Trolls nickname their moirails after the gemstone that closely matches their blood color.

I’m not familiar with studio June bc I only skim fandom stuff for hs these days, but if they’re a fan game team then the Karako situation is such a classic case of “loved a character so much the artist added headcannons to the point they became an oc” syndrome. It’s funny every time it happens I just think if they’re gonna do it they need to stop pretending it’s the og character. Besides, there’s a difference between allowing creative freedom and just straight up refusing to have an Art Director lol. When you don’t have a vision and style guidelines things tend to get muddled like this

People really think they can do it like Steven Universe and have artists draw however they interpret the character as long as they got the color palettes to recognize them. But sometimes, whether it be animation or comics, there's a bit of rules needed to apply on what the character is set to look like in appearance, height, and movements that interpretations are not allowed. If they wanna change something from the original, they should at least give a reason. Whether it be in-story universe narrative, say bad writing doesn't work for the character based on what they went through, or something like "the creator is a horrible person so I'm taking the character and changing it". The latter is often the case and ones I find most annoying, but hey, in the case of Homestuck/Hiveswap with Andrew Hussie, I could at least give it a pass. But I doubt that's their reason.

Bio:Neader is a calm and collected soul who mostly spends their time livestreaming and looking at the stars with their close friend reid,they are a kind and friendly troll but your gonna have to earn their trust to become their friend.they are so friendly that everyone kinda forgets that they once destroyed an entire city at one point in their past(they don't want to talk about it or their past).they mostly have resting bitch face and sometimes a bit of a snark,but they means well. their headcannon voice is kovu from the lion king 2. they may seem nice but deep  is keeping their insanity caged. they also has a crush on a human named Reid. they used to live in a city in Alternia, but feeling that the citizens mocked them for either their Smarts or for no reason At all.so Neader started to make a plan. afters a few days the city was in flames and no one(except a troll named Davulu) survived. Neader then used a device to transport themselves to earth. but they did a slight miscalculation and went plummeting towards earth.they crash landed next to a human (named Reid) backyard. Neader and the Human became friends. the human even lets Neader to live with him. Neader now lives in Reid's mansion along side Reid

he knows you’re walking cullbait and it freaks him out

definitely has trackers on all your devices and convinces you to wear his colour when you’re out alone

and when you’re together

he’s cold as ice 24/7 so him and snakedad use you as a heat rock a lot

he likes to have his hands against your bare skin because of this

on your leg, under your shirt, anywhere he can reach

also likes to sleep like that ! he wraps himself around you and you keep him toasty

he insists that his shitty sleeping schedule is ‘a troll thing’ and you wouldn’t understand as an alien

you tell him that as his personal robot you will not allow him to be awake past afternoon

he always schemes to make you fall asleep before him though so he can get more work done

he thinks human quadrants (or lack of) are cool ! he doesn’t get it at first but really the thought of having to only trust one person is ideal for him

it takes him a while to completely open up to you but when he does and you explain earth’s relationship customs, he’s ready to give you everything and be ‘human boyfriend’ with you

be prepared for take out every day

even if you want to cook for him he likes seeing the look on your face when he successfully reroutes a drone

you tried his glasses on once and can’t work out if he’s practically blind or troll glasses are just very trippy

overall he feels really special that you chose him of all trolls and he brags about how he gets the alien all to himself

Hiveswap Headcannon

Since Dammek has only had Xefros as the only living person he knows and they’re extremely close he doesn’t understand personal space. Jude on the other hand is the least touchy feely and unsocial person to be by. 

One day Jude is in the shower and singing (he has a very good singing voice) and Dammek just burst in the door and pulls back the shower curtain.

Dammek: Are you in a band?

Jude: *High screaming and flailing to try and cover himself up*

Dammek: Because you should be

Jude: Get OUT!

Dammek: *glances down* Woah...dude, what is going on down there?

Teals would have to get physical in court cases or at least need to fight and kill when needed to follow up that means teals are fit by nature alone and build up muscle (and some fat maybe?) easily or easier compared to other castes, as well as being naturally skilled in weapons, sure are they strong as a cerulean or a indigo or a purple? No but they could kick your ass in the streets, drag you in front of His Honorable Tyranny then will beat your pride without looking at you then cull you

uno: to derive the cherubs parallel with the limes/candy reds is the limeblood caste is born with two hair and blood colors, their first molt predetermines wha their predominant hair/blood color will be.

dose: hair hcs bcs yes i know trolls have hairdye but fuck it mutant hair! mutant hair is a really common mutation but can be explained away with hairdye. some of it acts like mood rings, depending on wha the hair reacts to in terms of mood. it’s a mixed bag on how it works.
