WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE BGM DURING BAKUGOU'S APOLOGY!!!!

(Copied from my rant I sent to my friends)

Ok so

I found this as the 18th track in Yuki Hayashi's spotify album, the My Hero Academia Sound Track Selection 2021-2023, "I'm sorry for everything I've done."

It plays out during season 6, episode 23 during Bakugou's apology, hence the name of the track "I'm sorry for everything I've done."

The track starts out as a slow, melancholy guitar leitmotif of the first violin melody of Bakugou's theme, then the keyboard comes in to accompany it in a bittersweet, tender way.

And when the song would normally be built up and dropped like in the original Bakugou's theme, it doesn't. The violin comes in as the chorus of Bakugou's theme, in a gentler, more uplifting way.

Then, it plays a leitmotif of the emotional track "Might" sung by Makayla Phillips which played during Deku's rescue of Eri, the song being a symbol for a character having a heroic moment. The melody is combined with parts of Bakugou's theme, blending the two melodies in a great way.

The track over time gets more uplifting and finally ends at a higher note than the home note.

I enjoy the gentle version of Bakugou's theme, symbolising the change of heart (and the change of tone) he has. And also the leitmotif of "Might" symbolising this to be Bakugou's HEROIC MOMENT. This is when he finally lets out all his feelings toward Deku and apologises for all his actions in the past

It is a moment when he lets his pride down and admits his wrongdoings.

And this is also a moment where he tells him that he has done nothing wrong, that since Deku had inherited One For All, everything he has done has been ideal.

Deku is touched by his words, and realises how everyone has been trying so hard to help him, he walks over to Bakugou, about to collapse from exhaustion and Bakugou runs to catch him before he falls.

This is Bakugou's HEROIC MOMENT.

clearing up the 3 most common misconceptions i see in the epic fandom bc a surprising amount of ppl dont know that these arent true

1 the suitors were there for the 10 years odysseus was trying to get home— NOPE!! the suitors only arrived a few years before the events of wisdom saga, somewhere around when telemachus was 17 ish.

2 penelope was weaving the shroud for 20 or 10 years— nuh uh. both of these numbers are wrong. she was weaving the shroud for like 5 years max

3 the suitors are much older than telemachus (30s-40s)— LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER!!!!! the trojan war started 20 years ago, meaning the OLDEST suitor would be in his early 30s (and that is being generous). the majority would be 25 and under. if the suitors were any older than that they wouldve been a soldier in the trojan war and wouldve been looong dead

What I've concluded is, musicals are the perfect media for greek myths (possibly romans too?) adaptations,, because hey these mfs are dramatic af, the way they went about in the myths; someone insults your authority, turn them into a giant spider?? your kids are overthrowing your monarchy?eat??? them?your fiancee dies?tries to resurrect her but fails because you love her so much?your wife shares custody with your mother in law?returning from a war for 10 years and now everything under the sun is out for a challenge?? etc. yes give me those electro, hip hops, pops, and ballads of their suffering and dramatic dilemmas. Their sufferings and dilemma were human enough to be relatable but also dramatic enough for musicals. The love is deep. Deceit, loyalty and trickeries. Tired™ characters. Characters who are just there with popcorn, enjoying the show, characters with too much power, too much time, and have nothing better to do. Homer didn't know this but they were made for the theater kids
