Give me more cowardly Odysseus. Odysseus who runs from life-threatening situations, or tries to trick his way out of them, who is self-preserving because he can’t die before seeing his wife and son again. Other Greek heroes throw themselves into battle hoping to die an honourable death but Odysseus refuses to die in this war, or on his journey home. Even if he is viewed as selfish, even if he is selfish, he will make whatever decisions necessary.
