Honestly, Danny is having such a good time right now. He gets to travel with Ellie, explore space, just have fun. Plus his secondary protector-instincts are having soothed despite him not technically doing any hero-ing anymore. Really his sister had the right idea when she decided she wanted to become a doctor, this is honestly a blast.
And if someone does end up passing away, well, Ellie is always happy to help soothe their spirit and guide them to the Realms where they can reach their respective afterlife. Or become a ghost.
They are completely oblivious to the fact that there are now legends and entire temples dedicated to them now. Apparently accidental ascension is in fact a thing, as Dan later laughs at them about.

Trans Curly headcanons are fascinating to me cause like… Jimmy would resent him more for it.
Masculinity is a weird underlying thing in their dynamic where Jimmy feels inferior to Curly about not only their job positions but roles in life. The idea that Curly is the better man who also made himself such would be such a blow to Jimmy’s already fragile and unstable ego. Like it’s not just that he’s just transphobic, he hates Curly’s ability to craft himself into what he wants to be successfully, it not about Curly being afab but Curly still being the better man.
But then he wouldn’t get the self image issues one can face, feeling like an imposter in a space you wanted to be in or even scared to be there. He’d just think Curly always gets what he desires and thinks nothing of it like he always has.

it is very telling that average genshin players cannot comprehend seeing an actual mature, qualified leader that is actually good at taking her job seriously after meeting archons who either is still childish, clowning whimsically, or straight up incompetent.

#cherry magic#my translation#finally. after months i got to read this at last !!!!!!! i can be at peace now#also gonna do a little t/n in the tags bc i wanna clarify one little bit#the term '苦手' comes up a bunch here and it can mean either 'not being good at smth' or 'disliking/hating smth'#and from my understanding when used for people it can mean either 'not knowing how to get along with someone' or 'disliking/hating someone'#so on page 1 kurosawa uses 苦手 to say that the other guy doesnt like him#and on page 4 adachi uses 苦手 too which kurosawa misinterprets bc he doesnt have all the context#bc adachi means that he doesnt really know how to interact with guys like kurosawa but kurosawa hears it as 'i dont like his type of ppl'#(which gets cleared up later anyway thank god . tho it did give us a funnie panel)#i couldnt find any word in english that worked with the same sort of double meaning as 苦手 so i tried phrasing it in a way-#-that would have that same sort of 'this can be easily misinterpreted' vibe . dunno if it worked but i tried kjfkds

i spent a lot of time when leon was a puppy just counter conditioning him to loud noises and yelling because i live with kinda loud people and didn´t want him to be scared of things like thunder/fireworks
i did actually pull it off and now he thinks yelling and things like banging or clapping are "fun play sounds" and when people try to intimidate him out of being over excited they just get a himbo collie body slamming them
