Yeah okay so every vampire in the vampire chronicles is turned at critical a moment in their lives and beyond just the body they are in when they are turned, their mentality stays at that standstill for their entire immortality, Lestat was turned against his will, he was clinging onto Magnus begging him to be freed, so he’s constantly seeking freedom and only finding loneliness and thus turning back to people again and again, however he can’t STAND being told what to do, since he desires agency in his life so desperately, Armand was turned after years and years of abuse and lack of control but such a desire for genuine love, by a man he ‘loved’ so wholly who he felt was barring his love from him, he needs control in his life, he needs a ‘master’ but he does not desire it, it does not fulfill him, he is trapped in a room but the door is unlocked! Louis was mourning his brother, he felt like an utter failure and so he’s always seeking family, seeking people he can care for, he can coddle, he can prove he is good too, but he loves people who either cannot stand coddeling and need a sense of looseness to live (Lestat) or people who grow out of coddling who prove to Louis he will always fail the people he loves (Claudia), Claudias turning, in many MANY ways mirrors lestats in that it was against her will, she was stolen from her home, and in her immortality she desires freedom but unlike Lestat does not have the agency/ form to get it, she will always be small, she will always be looked down on, even by Lestat who cannot deny how much she is just like him *taps mic* ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!! NONE OF THEM CAN BREAK THE CYCLE!!! TO BREAK IT WOULD BE TO UNDO THE VERY FIBER OF THEIR IMMORTAL SELVES!! THE CYCLE IS THE BLOOD THEY DRINK IT IS THE HEART IN THEIR CHEST AND IT ROLLS AND ROLLS DOWN THE MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS OF THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER AND IT CAN NEVER BE STOPPED BECAUSE THEY WILL NEVER STOP LOVING EACH OTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Hyur's face twisted into a mask of seething rage as he glared at his companion who seemed blissfully unaware of the storm brewing within him. They had been on this journey together for what felt like an eternity, and his frustration had reached its boiling point. "I've met doorknobs with more intelligence than you," he spat out, his voice laced with venom. He couldn't contain the resentment that had been building up. "How did you manage to survive this long without accidentally injuring yourself?" A deep, frustrated sigh escaped his lips. He couldn't believe he was stuck with someone who seemed to lack even the most basic survival instincts. "I mean, seriously, it's a miracle you've made it this far. Do you even think before you act, or is it all just random chance?"  He clenched his fists, his patience wearing thin. "You're not exactly helping, you know. In fact, you're holding me back. Every decision you make, every move you take – it's like you're actively trying to sabotage this whole thing." - @confluxium

"What in the hells is wrong with you?" The answer comes quick, a pointed knife. To say that Violette lacked survival instincts was rich. Here was a man who seemed even more keen than himself to walk off the edge, into the abyss. Something inside the Viera squirms, and he gives in to such primal instinct.

"That's rich, coming from you." The annoyance in his voice is clear. With swift footsteps the distance between them diminishes until it is closed off completely, slamming the Hyur against old ruined walls. "If I stay behind, it is to buy you time. Or would you rather play the martyr for somebody who was once your enemy?" Violette says nothing about his own desire for self-sacrifice. Every time his scythe was drawn, every single drop of blood shed - a desperate cry for freedom, a weapon pointed at the heavens with the clear intent on receiving divine retribution. He either kills, or he loses.

And when the consequences for losing is death, your strategies expand to anything your body can tolerate. It is not like the delightful creature wanting to take over his body like a malformed puppet would let him die this easily. "If you die, oh so adored Warrior of Light, who will save the people who actually matter?

I will not allow myself to be taken this easily. I have spent every waking moment for the past decades reminding myself of this. Through every 'lesson', every broken bone -- I have learned. And remembered. If you cannot do something as simple as trust in my abilities, how does that make you any different from the country which I was forced to serve? This is not my bloody journey. It is yours. And the least I can do on the battlefield is to buy you time. If you think that is sabotaging, then maybe you deserve to stand upon the pile of bodies of the people who tried to save you."

Bruce being such a weird, caring dad that on patrol in a near-death scenario he won't say "go ahead, do it, I don't even care about him [Robin]" even as a bluff to try and get the bad guy to point the gun somewhere else. even if it would work and shift their attention back to him, he won't bluff about caring about Dick, or Jason, or any of them.

Hes tall and huge and HEAVY and he is so overly active that he has to maintain an insanely high caloric intake to make sure his body doesnt collapse from the strain of everything. He will eat virtually anything but he is spoiled from the best takeout Gotham has to offer: 11$ shrimp and broccoli from the chinese food spot that closes at 4am- among other things.

well, I can't say I expected the new chapter to feature Idia (metaphorically) going to (metaphorical) hell, getting a pep talk from his (metaphorical) Phantom brother which helps him finally move on once and for all from his brother's death, and (metaphorically) overblotting again to fight his way back out of (metaphorical) hell, only to have his darkest fear (non-metaphorically) come true when his mom goes through his computer and finds all his secret files. but I am glad it did!

also this is all a flashback for the purpose of explaining to our group what the heck is going on (whether or not any of it is getting through is another matter)
