Martyr, a journey of learning self worth, of learning how to continue living despite everything you've been through, is important Wisdom to learn for all the readers and Sky. Smoke & Ashes, a story heroism, of the Chain learning to push past their trauma and fear and embrace the Hero's Spirit and the Courage that Farore entrust to them (while Sky spirals into oblivion haha oops, we need to figure out how the Angstforce of Courage works for him LOL). It fits pretty darn well, honestly!

ngl i straight up did Martyr and Elastic Heart first and then put s&a there and it sorta fit so i was pretty happy w/ it lol. And i think Elastic Heart fits Power so well!!

just to add on to the analysis train lmao. If s&a is about the courage to face yourself, and Martyr is about the wisdom to accept yourself, then Elastic Heart is 100% about the power to overcome yourself ngl (especially w/ your version of Dink and everything? And Sky being so fixated on fixing his mistakes? jdfshierfdifjakew it's so good i love it so so so so much!!!!!)

also btw i promise s&a sky will make sort of sense in the Angstforce of Courage eventually lmao

I absolutely get where people are coming from with Dom Mobei Jun in fics and it's often extremely good, but there is just so so much potential with Dom Shang Qinghua and Sub Mobei Jun.

I just really think they would be into the switch in their public-facing relationship dynamics for bedroom activities. The games they could play! Clever "lowly" servant Shang Qinghua pretending he's blackmailing or tricking Mobei Jun into servicing him for revenge, gloating about how he's got his king just where he wants him, getting to really cut loose on the degradation dirty talk (venting for all those years of holding back any kind of criticism out of fear for his life) while Mobei Jun gets some traditional demon courtship fixes out of the process, and also enjoys the opportunity to just completely turn off his brain and his vigilance around someone who he 100% trusts not to abuse the privilege.

Heck, their relationship didn't actually gain ground on physical intimacy until Shang Qinghua started finally cracking and losing his temper and demanding Mobei Jun respect him (and... call him 'daddy', of course...), and when Mobei Jun finally gets Shang Qinghua to tell him how to court him he's like "finally" and makes him the world's worst noodles about it. He's glad that Shang Qinghua is telling him what to do in order to please him! He wants that.

In conclusion, Mobei Jun would absolutely enjoy being bossed around and I think Shang Qinghua would equally enjoy ordering him to do various bedroom activities, in the most unrefined terms available, and being immediately served & obeyed.

designer!suguru who gets tasked with showing you the ropes, who’s always so patient and kind despite your inexperience. diligent with his teaching but also so laidback, so easy to talk to… he looks intimidating, but he’s so polite that you can’t help but swoon a little. and he admires your enthusiasm so much…… grows fond of you soooo quickly bc you’re just such a breath of fresh air compared to the divas he’s forced to work with all the time. he thinks you’ve got real potential and he wants to nurture it.

and ofc you end up running into model!satoru eventually…. bc he’s always hanging around suguru whenever he gets the chance. and he’s maybe a little jealous that you’re hogging so much of his personal designer’s attention, but… he also thinks you’re so cute . T_T like a little puppy following suguru around… so excited to be apart of what you’ve dreamed of for so many years……… he looks into your eyes and sees the same sparkle he had before he made it big, and it makes his heart race.

yeah . i’m just thinking abt the peaceful coffee breaks with suguru….. how he’d insist on paying for your drink, ”since he’s your senior” (he wants to be your favorite </3)…… and how he’d just be so protective over his little intern. don’t get me started on the close proximity with satoru when you’re taking his measurements, the glance and smile he sends your way during an impromptu shoot… the way he always calls for you with a sweet coo of ”how’s my favorite intern doing today?”

Ok Sky and Hyrule

I have tried forever to write up a good Sky and Hyrule post. I wanna clarify their relationship because it is kind of hard to make sense of, and I've had several ask after I mentioned my thinking that they have issues in this post. However I am tired and just want the thoughts out there, so I'm just gonna give a low-effort post with a bunch of screenshots. Read. Have fun.

Hyrule is very stubborn and Sky is very stubborn. They do not vibe. The clearest starting point of them butting heads was in divine dark reflections when Hyrule showed his ability to get ahead of himself and left Sky behind, something Sky does not take kindly too.

They fight with opposite hands, which isn't a problem when Hyrule is fighting with Wars for example, but with Sky they don't fight well together and clash.

We don't see these two clash that much bc they are both very friendly people! So I think them actively scowling at each other after they bumped elbows is pretty telling. They have beef with each other ok.

HOWEVER for the positive aspects of their irritatingly-ambiguous relationship, their main point of bonding is the master sword. Yeah. bc Hyrule can wield it and Sky falls in love /plat lol with anyone who compliments it

They also both like to joke around/prank others, so they have that in common too yay!

AnD ANothEr thING! Sky can be Very judgy about appearance, and those traits obviously carried over into lu from sksw canon. Whereas Wars showed respect towards Hyrule despite him not being a knight, we never got that from Sky. What internal thoughts does Sky have about the humble traveler?

Sky can tend to be prideful, and Hyrule absolutely could not be prideful. Rulie is still confident in who he is! Firecracker boy. Also they both can have tempers and are stubborn.

Random note: Hyrule thinks himself incapable compared to the knights, but in the discord Jojo mentioned at one point that she thought Hyrule could hold his own in a fight against Sky due to his own skill set. No. Sharing. Discord. Documents. Outside. Of. There. Casual mention only. Mhmm. So I think this is ok. I'm gonna set the discord rules as my wallpaper I check them so often. anyways.

Also please note that I am NOT hating on either of the babies, I love them very much and BOTH have flaws in their relationship with the other. The thing that's so hard about Sky and Hyrule's relationship is that they are both so very friendly it's hard to discern. They're two nice guys who wanna chill! But they do not chill or vibe with the other, most of the time Sky and Hyrule are not commonly hanging out. Yeah there ya go, Sky and Hyrule ramble. Bye!

Of course, Athena and Chimney had incredibly devastating moments to release their grief, and Angela and Kenny killed it; there is absolutely no question. But someone who really got me good was Buck at the funeral. I thought he would put on the Brave Face. Be stoic. Be emotionless. And he was, in a way. Shoutout to Oliver because he put on an amazing performance of playing Buck with his emotions so near the surface and yet having to temper them. Having to silently communicate that he was suffering without having any words to do so. 

I think it got me so good because that was me once. Ten years ago, I went to my grandfather’s funeral, and I put on a brave face. I didn’t want anyone to witness that intimacy of grief. I’m sure I looked like Buck did. Trying to hold it together, but looking so close to breaking. 

There is a tendency to woobify Buck in the fandom, and in the show, there is a tendency to minimize his feelings. As if he isn’t a man in his 30s, as if his character arc up until now hasn’t been about how much he has matured. 

So I say this with the hesitancy that I don’t want to do that to him. But, truly, when he was at the funeral, to me, he looked like a kid. He looked lost. He looked like he was in a daze. He looked so… distant. Maybe he was questioning if it was real at all, if he was still in his coma, and that he would wake up and Bobby would be there beside him. 

And him putting the helmet on the truck? The silent exchange between Chimney and Buck? It really looked like it hit Buck at that moment—this is real. This is goodbye. I will have to live the rest of my life without him next to me. Kudos to both Oliver and the director, John J. Gray, for making Buck look so small and helpless in that moment. 

He just wanted his dad back. Despite all of his growth, all of his maturation, which Bobby had the biggest hand in helping him with, he still just wants his dad. And who could blame him?
