"I would think you've gotten lost or something." Haerin immediately starts upon seeing you at the doorway. 

Huddling the already soaked towel around your frame, you can't help but chatter your teeth. "I think I'm knowing my way around this building since we were here pretty early." 

"Hmm. Good for you." Haerin shuts her eyes for the makeup artist to do her eye makeup.

Haerin goes on her phone, pretending to not "care" about whatever the two pretty unnies are gossiping about.

"Really?!"

"Yes! She practically grew up in Min Hee-Jin's arms." The other explains, looking over and making sure each makeup product is sitting on the makeup table. "Apparently, not only did she grew up in Min Hee-Jin's arms but also in Yoo Young Jin's arms, he only trains the special trainees."

The cat-like female controls herself from rolling her eyes; yet again. Everyone is praising you for being this special star but why has Haerin not seen it yet? This supposed star that Min Hee-Jin went through lengths of bringing over here messes up the easiest part of the choreography?

Haerin doesn't get it; she really doesn't.

And because it pisses her off, something in her is intrigued by you.

"Unnie?" You call out from the changing room.

Haerin's stylist cannot help but to let out a small 'awe' at the tone of your voice.

You immediately panic at that statement, looking over in the mirror at the small rip in your dress. Only the second day of being in the group and you've already ruined a dress.

You opened the door slowly, peeking your head out with a derpy smile. "There's a rip in the dress."

"Let me see?"

With some shyness in the steps of your feet, you walk out the changing room.

Haerin almost feels her breath hitch at the sight of you in the mirror, her eyes looked at you, trailing from head to toe. Somehow, just somehow you manage to look stunning with wet hair and the "ripped" dress.

Wow.

This doesn't get past the pretty unnie who just finished up the last final touches of both Haerin's hair and makeup. She lets out a silent giggle at how cute the two groupmates are.

"Hmm, we don't have any backup dresses but..I think we can work with this somehow." Your stylist thinks, rushing out the room.

"Haerin-shi, take care of Y/N-shi. We'll be right back shortly." Haerin's stylist says before shortly following the other out in need of aid.

The feline-like female sighs once again. "You cause trouble everywhere you go."

Haerin could only stare back at you, blinking blankly. She opens her mouth to say something but nothing ends up coming out of her mouth. She lets out a huff silently before turning back around and paying attention to her phone.

"Always trying to start something." You grumble under your tone, which does NOT go pass the cat-eyed female.

Haerin is starting to feel ticked off.

First, she had to wake up early in the morning to do a reshoot for the album (keep in mind that these photos were taken a couple months ago). Second, as if the company wanted to torture her enough, she got assigned with you for the duo shoots (which wasn't even a thing til now because of six members). Lastly, you just LOVE to mumble stuff knowing that she can hear.

Before Haerin could say anything, the two stylists enter the dressing room with various of ribbons and different fabrics to layer over the slight tear.

"Y/N-shi, you can help in the decision of which one looks well with the dress."

The cat-eyed female is a bit curious, so she constantly darts her pupils back and fourth with the screen of her phone and the reflection of you and the two pretty older ladies through the mirror. And somehow, Haerin's eyes focuses on you more than her phone.

Your stylist holds up a pretty piece of pale pink lace and Haerin feels her throat dry up in the back at how pretty the pink looks against you.

"Haerin-shi, what do you think?" Haerin's stylist questions, smiling a bit too wide.

You look up at your group mate in anticipation on what she'll say.

"It's pretty."

The oldest member watches the couple shoot between Haerin and you with her arms crossed in dissatisfaction. Anyone could tell that Haerin and you don't get along like the others.

"Haerin-shi, could we have you whispering something in Y/N-shi's ears? Like you're telling her a secret only for the two of you." The director suggests, hoping the shot will turn out beautiful like the how the others did.

You can't help but to feel a sense of electricity at how close the two of you are.

Haerin fights her eye roll back, scooting a bit more closer towards you and she holds up her hand besides your ear. She slowly moves her face to your ear, she's a bit nervous and uncomfortable with how close this is.

"Y/N-shi, could you tilt your head towards Haerin-shi a bit more?"

Listening to the directions given to you, you move a bit too close but a butterfly leads you to move a bit too far to where Haerin accidentally kisses your cheek. Both girls turn pink at the sudden contact, looking shy afterwards.

For him, I initially thought of him as a shark of all things. I say that despite not knowing how to draw sharks uh. Here it is below.

I wanted him to be a big boy and have this immense size difference with Law. He's the tallest among the ASL trio and that meant he should be the biggest merman out of the three. He's not necessarily buffer but he just has a larger frame and a longer, more muscular tail.

I also wanted him to look like a freak, a huge figure with obscenely sharp teeth. I found images on Pinterest with sharks with scars that seemed to slice through their skin and I wanted to incorporate that throughout the design. A homage to Sabo's scarred eye, if you will.

He had horns too, for some reason. I just thought it looked cool.

However, what I didn't like about this design was that it didn't read like Sabo, or at least the version of Sabo I envisioned in my head. Hence, I gave up on it. It was sort of devastating because I wanted to try something new, but we move on!

Without a clear idea for what I wanted, I spent a lot of time struggling with not just Sabo's design but with what I wanted the illustration to be overall. Later that evening, I scrolled through Pinterest (again) and found images of eels and that just clicked.

They're just the right combination of cute and just downright weird. They have that snake-like look to them, which echoed my initial shark design. On top of that, they don't look as derpy from the front as compared to sharks.

I did try again to make Sabo freaky, as shown by this sketch below. It's based on a scene from that potential fan fic, where Sabo saves Law from drowning and his inner freak shines through. I imagined a dark lighting situation where Sabo's scars are the light source. It'll be quite creepy and I'd like to manifest this vision someday!

Anyways, from here, I focused on making Sabo look cool and pretty for the illustration. I retained his human face (I am not good enough for furry art) and focused on making his tail look SUPER cool.

It's interesting to me that with this revision, I found inspiration in my initial 'failed' design. I still kept the star-shaped scars and placed them on his tail and body.

They're blue because (1) I wanted to respect Sabo's colour palette and (2) I was inspired by those ocean creatures who glow underwater. I feel that would be a good plot point like Sabo would be insecure about that because it's admittedly kinda scary but Law would think it's reassuring.

That's all I have to say about the designs. I have ideas for Ace and Luffy, but I haven't sketched them out concretely yet. I'm thinking lion fish for Ace and a cute black fish species called the Pinnate Spadefish for Luffy.

The Pinnate Spadefish has one bold red/yellow stripe and I like to think that Luffy as a merman just painted it on to look like Ace. He shifts between red and blue to imitate his Cool™ older brothers.

I am SO glad we finally get to see at least some proper idea of Malleus' true form. Even after knowing what a certain someone else's true form was like, it was still hard to say how HE'D look: if he'd be "full dragon," for instance, or more like "scalier version of his usual self."

HOTD 2X6 Review and Spoilers!!

Another slow episode. The episode dragged especially considering it's currently down to the last 3 episodes of the season.

Alicent got booted off the council, LMFAO. I don't take pleasure in seeing women suffer but older Alicent earned her shit, it's what she gets. Delusional I tell you. The small folk are suffering already and got on their asses though, the only thing I didn't like is Helaena getting caught in the crossfire again. Another Daeron mention and did they just subtly hint at Criston being his father? Meaning Alicent was really sleeping with him before Vizzy T kicked the bucket? The writing for the show is all over the place, my God.

We were a diva down and I didn't like it one bit. WHERE TF WAS BAELA?! Like we saw her husband but where was she? Ugh. Rhaena and Joffrey sighting. They were so cute! We saw baby Stormcloud!!! I never realized how much I missed seeing baby dragons on screen. It's like having baby Viserion, Rhaegal and Drogon back. My heart did a little quick thump. He was so derpy too 🥺🤣 How Aegon's supposed to get away on him is beyond me, he's literally the size of a kitten. The timeline is so messed up as well.

Daemon is still in spooky land and although I'm over it, I understand it's a culmination of all his regrets and things he wishes he could've had and done differently. We saw Vizzy T and that scene where it showed Daemon wanted to be there for him, he just didn't know how.... Man I kinda teared up. At the end of the day Daemon just wanted his brother's love and approval, he went about it in the wrong way because he's chaos personified but that's what it was always about to him. Vizzy T was his parental figure, his everything really and man 💔. Miscommunication trope strikes again. Him and Alys becoming friends even though she's the one that's tormenting him wasn't on my bingo cards. Somebody come get Caraxes outta there, I know he's bored asf. Every time we catch a glimpse of him he looks more and more over the entire thing. 🤣

One of the highpoints of the episode was Seasmoke. Dragons have personality y'hear me. More of that! Seasmoke is a whole clown 🤣🤣🤣. Why would he do Ser Steffon like that? I mean sure he got a little cocky but intentionally bending his neck for him to get on and then essentially saying “BITCH YOU THOUGHT” AND THEN BURNING THEM TO A CRISP?!! He was so funny for that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭. He said “get y'all mid looking asses on” I already got eyes for one person and he's so real for that. You guys think he used to have dragon conversations with momma Meleys about picking their riders? We know dragons pick their riders as much as riders claim their dragons but do you think Meleys taught him if the unfortunate should ever happen make sure and pick the baddest of the bunch? We know Meleys picked Rhaenys as Rhaenys picked Meleys, that was confirmed. Meleys said Pretty Women Only and do you think she told Seasmoke to get him a pretty rider to match his aesthetic if the need ever arises? I know Laenor hatched him but Laenor was pretty asf. Seasmoke saw Addam smiling on the beach once and said “yeah I gotta have that” plus it helps that he has dreads, a pretty smile, a pretty face and looks like Corlys. He said welcome back Laenor Velaryon. Addam being Laenor's brother makes it hysterical as hell too, I'm creased LMFAO. He didn't have to chase down Addam like that but I respect it, he saw what he wanted and shooters shoot. I too would chase down Addam until he accepts my advances and affection, Seasmoke been eyeing him for awhile.

We got canon bisexual Rhaenyra. Although I wish she was kissing another beautiful Velaryon instead, Laena I miss you so much baby, that was for me. Her and Mysaria kissing before Jace and Baela is egregious to me though. I'm just saying why everybody locking lips before the main og star couple?Rhaenyra smacking men, 100000s across the boards. She should've been doing that sooner but better late than never I suppose. That lady is still in her resentment of her husband era. Her face when Jace said they needed Daemon 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭 She's sick of hearing about that man. He's right btw, Rhaenyra go get him, he's out there giving our diva Simon grief. Mysaria actually helping her with PR and actually giving her great advice. I love women supporting women! Her sending food with her banners for the common folk was so politically savvy. Mysaria being one of the few that is actually coming in clutch to help her to win the war 😉. I still don't trust her though, something about this entire thing tells me it's gonna end badly for her. I'll enjoy them trauma dumping and bonding on one another before the shit hits the fan though. I know doomed Yuri when I see it. Jace and that one guard immediately knowing something is up with both of them is sending me though. She took off at the end of the episode to go confront her ex-husband's new dragon rider and Syrax about to be screaming at her dragon ex husband too apparently. 🤣🤣

Since they're essentially changing the entire plot and the leaks that I thought were written like fanfiction might actually be true could we get Jace surviving the battle of the gullet? It's not slated for this season but I'm here to spread my agenda. Since we're essentially fucking canon atp instead of in certain scenarios and all this for Bran the broken to sit the Iron Throne (I'm still fuckin disgusted and furious at that btw, fuck you D&D) could they switch that shit up? Let's come together and manifest it guys.

Wandee Goodday's Ep 11 of Doom was not an episode of doom. It was an episode of clowns, kisses and cuddles.

By character we have:

Dee - now certainly winning the popular vote in the hospital for the internship despite the clown costumes. And doing better than Ter in the surgery as well as arriving at the fight at just the right time (thanks to Taem - let's face it anyone's who's been to Bangkok knows driving in a car is not the best way to get anywhere fast).

Yak - still the biggest puppy on the block. That man is a keeper - from his balloon animals to his derpy kiss me face. But lying to Kao's face while the hooded figure is standing right there next to him? Silly boy. Also his sulky face is basically Great giving me a throw back to Inspector M's permanent expression in Manner of Death.

Speaking of Kao: he's got a date! And a cute one at that (hi Title). Here's hoping for lots of lovely cuddles and snuggles.

Yei and Cher: my preciouses. So freaking cute - yes babies, get married and adopt. Dear GMMtv, can we have a prequel of how they got together AND a sequel which can just be 12 eps of getting married and adopting and being all domestic? I love them so much.

Ter: NO. NO REDEMPTION FOR YOU. Personally I wouldn't get in a car alone with someone who's attempted to SA me but Dee's such a trusting soul.

Taem: stay away from Dr Ter - you deserve better. Far, far better.

Have just realised that purple and yellow make brown which is what Dee's wearing a lot of and there's more orangey brown lighting in his room now as well. Is this deliberate? But he's still in his purple scrubs while Yak's in his yellow for the pre-fight kiss. Which was adorable - the crowd went wild! I don't think Dee can refuse to admit they're boyfriends now...

What a lovely ep 11. Let's hope it doesn't mean that ep 12 will be doom laden. Honestly, I want Yak to win the fight for himself obviously but also because that Mason really needs taking down a peg or several. And then I want Dee to win the scholarship and turn it down because he's happy in Bangkok with his boyfriend. Which means that Ter will be in his debt forever. i'll miss this series when it ends. It's adorable.

Quinn Vs Little Dog

Quinn had been noticing that you have been wanting a dog for quite some time as he saw you looking on the pinterest of the cute little dog videos or pictures. He even noticed you had a board of things you would get for your dog if you had one.

Quinn isn't the time of a guy to want a dog in the house but isn't totally against it. he's the time who goes with the quote happy wife happy life its niche but he thinks that's the start of a happy marriage.

Quinn had been thinking of getting you a dog for your birthday knowing it would be the perfect gift and it would keep you company when he went on roadies and everything.

So When he saw there was a sign of someone having little yorkies for free he knew in his heart he had to get you one and that what he did he got the most derpy looking one he could find which was also the rut.

Quinn didn't want to admit it but he may have fallen in love with the little puppy. He always thought of himself as a guy who loves big dogs but this little derpy looking yorkie may have changed his mind.

"what will mama say when she sees you"

Quinn told the twelve week pup in his hands that had a loose blue bow tie around his neck. He couldn't wait to see your reaction to the little dog.

The Captain knocks on your guys apartment door which he knew you were still asleep as he had to leave early for practice so when he heard the locks to the door start to move and the door open.

There you were just in his shirt half asleep with half of your hair out of the braid you did the night before. your brain still hasn't full woken up yet so you looked up at your boyfriend then at the small puppy to which your eyes light up.

Quinn could just kiss you all over your face with how cute you look. He loved you like this then the fancy dresses not that he was complaining about it but to him his jersey was your fancy dress. He thought you looked like an angel in the morning barefaced and nothing to hide.

"Quintin You better not be Joking"

Quinn lets out a loving chuckle at you saying his full first name then grins from ear to ear showing off his pearly whites saying "happy birthday honey!"

He sets the fluffy little dog in your arms noticing the tears rolling down your cheeks to which he wipes them with his calluses thumb kissing your forehead.

Digimon Data Squad (Savers) - Episode 14

Wow, this episode kinda popped off. I was skeptical at first because there were a lot of wonky/off model shots in the first half, but the fight animation was great! Overall this episode had super snappy pacing and I was on the edge of my seat. Looks like this arc's gonna be good!

Notes:

I can't tell if it's just my imagination, but sometimes it looks like they're using 3DCG for Agumon and Gaomon (outside of digivolution sequences I mean). I keep getting thrown off by how derpy they look. (Maybe it's just how they're shaded?)

It was pretty satisfying when Masaru's mom confirmed that she knew about digimon all along and that's why she wasn't that surprised about Agumon. Brings some perspective/context for earlier episodes and gives this season some rewatch value.

Masaru's dad face reveal! He has his son's curtain bangs lol. Their skin tone is the same too.

We finally see Yoshi at home. Her room is pretty generic. I was kinda hoping they made it a mess as a call back to what Lalamon said about Yoshi being a slob earlier

I find it funny that Sayuri's signature dish is just fried eggs. Finally some achievable mom standards!

Loved the chunky, clunky tools DATS came up with for the journey to the digital world. One of which looks like an 90s cell phone

Love Ikuto. First of all, we haven't really seen this "feral child" concept yet, so he doesn't feel like a rehash of past characters. His design is really strong (kinda reminds me of this obscure manga I used to read called +Anima) and his way of speaking is fun too. I like how he says "humon" in the dub, that's genius. Finally, his fight scene was just really fun to watch.

Can't decide if Peckmon is hilarious or awesome. Either way I got really excited when they revealed him. He's ostrich-sized and kind of like a weird, ninja chocobo. His hair and color scheme is giving me "1980s shounen" vibes. Fascinating.

Sunflowmon continues to be pretty worthless every time 😬

Still hate Jureimon. He's definitely up there in my "top 10 worst digimon designs" list that I store in my brain. At list his Nyokimon were cute.

Was that Gotsumon supposed to be possessed/brainwashed when he was attacking everyone? His eyes got all glowy so I assume that's what they were going for. ~Mysterious~

this post is inspired by this adorable little skull i crocheted earlier, which reminded me of ghost and i thought, "what if a crocheter reader gave this to ghost as a little gift?

anyways, lets get onto the little drabble <3

you can make honestly anything. cardigans, jumpers, blankets, all the way to little keychains and plushies. it's quite impressive, considering the amount of dedication you really have to put into a project, especially if its big such as a jumper or something like that.

for holidays and ceremonies and whatever, you would be the one with the best gifts, and one to rely on for unique and personalised decor, like garlands for example. anything you ask them to make, you'll do it.

ghost was out on a mission, a supposedly long and difficult one. reader considered that and decided it would be nice to perhaps do something that could be thoughtful for him, and thats where they decided to crochet him a little gift.

it wasn't big, as he was supposed to return within the day that you thought of the idea, but its the thought that counts, you believed.

you used your scrap yarn to crochet a little skull pattern. nothing big, but it meant a lot. it matched the mask that ghost always wore, which you knew played a big part in his life. i mean, this dude would wear the mask anywhere he could, so considering that fact, you believed this small gesture could mean a lot to him. especially since it was handmade by you, the only sunshine and hope in his dark life.

he returns before you know it, obviously stressed and tired from the mission. immediately, you jump up from the sofa, shaking the bits of scrap yarn off of you before making your way over to him. you held the little gift behind your back.

"si, you're back!" you happily say as you hug him.

he sees you and smiles, his muscles relaxing as soon as you hugged him, the project in your balled up fist.

"i missed you, m'love," ghost chuckles as he wrapped his arms around you.

"i have a little something for you!" you giggle as you look up at him, excited for his reaction to the little gesture you made earlier.

he raises an eyebrow in curiosity before speaking. "really? what could that be?"

you step away from the hug as you open up your hand, revealing the little crocheted skull to him.

immediately, his eyes soften and he sighs with a small chuckle.

"sweet lord, it's adorable, m'love. is that...meant to be my mask?" he laughs softly. you nod with a proud smile.

"oh, i love it s' much. i'll treasure it f'ever, i promise you. god, i love you so much."

he gently kisses your head, the little derpy skull still in his hands as he pulls you in for another warm hug.

My version of Sebastian's parents in certain AUs and rps are usually either neglectful or very "Why can't you be like your brother, he has 50 armies in Wrath" so seeing equally dorky parents for a very derpy demon, I low-key love it too much

Do they share embarrassing stories with everyone? Do they go ham on affection with Sebastian or each other? What is everyone else's reaction to them??

Funny enough, I think Sebastian's parents are actually one of the heathiest and the most decent parental figures compared to my other parent ocs Like if I were to make a tierlist, they'd be high up on the list of "good/decent parents". Especially Papa Michaelis, he'd literally jump in front of a moving train for his family. Also yeah, Mama Michaelis has definitely shared alot of cute but embarrassing stories to Ciel and the other servants which Sebastian is NEVER recovering from (She probably told Agni and Grell as well). Also yeah his family is very affectionate, Mama still calls him "little birdie" HEHAHEF And for everyone's reactions, I'd say Mama is very much liked by all of them, Mey-Rin thinks she's pretty and cool, Baldroy would relate to her, Finny and Snake already grew attached to her, Tanaka probably drinks tea with her. I think Agni and Soma would also like her very much, especially Soma because compared to Sebastian, "She's less scary" Oh and Grell would like her too, especially because Mrs Michaelis accidentally assumed Grell was Sebastian's girlfriend EHHEAH

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #366

I was given a lot more hours this week than normal! So today, I was scheduled to go to work!!

I was excited about going. I really do love my teammates and the things I do. But. Well. A couple things.

First... I was woken up in the night for... reasons. Very delightful reasons. But still, the result is broken sleep. Then when I did wake up, I only gave myself just enough time to get dressed and out the door; I didn't wanna deal with needing to scrub out the inside of my face after eating, first thing in the morning. I forgot to drink a glass of water before leaving. And my boot with the brace inside was feeling particularly tight and weird. I was looking forward to going to work, but... physically, I wasn't in great condition. Whoops.

Well, nonetheless, I spent almost the whole four hours baking cookies. I had 11 trays worth of 30-count cookies to arrange (330 cookies), and 32 trays worth of the other kind of cookies to arrange (768 cookies). All told, I arranged 1,098 cookies onto baking trays today, in between helping customers with various things. I got some pictures for ya! Here:

...Unfortunately, though, as part of today, I ended up needing to answer the phone to take a cake order for someone who was kinda cranky. I don't have a lot of experience with taking cake orders yet, and she was asking me all these questions that I didn't know the answers to, like “how many people does a cake of this size feed?” and “how much does this particular cake configuration cost?” and “what is the next biggest round cake”? (the only round cake size we carry is 8 inches, and she didn't like that answer). And it's not at all bad that this person asked those questions! But I didn't know some of the answers off the top of my head, so I had to ask my more experienced teammates and... she didn't like that very much, for reasons I don't fully understand.

At one point, she told me “maybe it'd be easier if I contacted another store”. And... I asked one of my teammates to find out the price of what she wanted, and apparently it took them a few seconds too long to do, so even though in the end I was able to relay the answer to her question, she decided to scrap the whole order with a huffy, “maybe I'll decide what I want later.” And then she hung up.

I... didn't handle that as well as I would have liked. I was already not in a particularly good state of mind because by then, I had been on my feet for a number of hours and I was underslept, dehydrated, and ravenously hungry. I was convinced that I cost my store an order for being too clumsy, slow, and inexperienced. I thought I was gonna cry.

...Ma and Tr came and gave me a hug. And they told me not to worry about it, that some customers are just cranky. That it's just like that sometimes. Their care helped a lot; thanks to it, I was able to get back to an even keel.

...I gotta try to wake up earlier so I can eat a breakfast before work. I can't keep skipping meals and expecting everything to turn out well. I have to be nicer to my body.

...When I got home, I wanted Indian food. It had been a long time since I've had anything like saag paneer, goat korma, butter chicken, or dal makhani. So I got ALL OF THEM. Because, apparently, “moderation? what's that???”

...They weren't open until 4:30pm. But I was feeling stubborn and kinda bratty, so like a derpy derp, I just sat my ass down and waited so I could put in the order. I hung out a little with J while I waited. He's pretty tired today, too.

Do you have anything like Indian food on Gaia? I wonder. Given your love of pumpkin soup, with all its creaminess and warming spices, suspect that you'd like Indian food a lot. Lots of people like it spicy, but I tend to ask for very mild things. I know that what's available here isn't exactly what's available in India, but... here, I'll show you what I got:

This is rice. They use some kind of long grain rice – probably jasmine rice or basmati rice. It's lightly seasoned with some kind of seed that I can't identify. Caraway, maybe? I'm not sure.

You put things on the rice and mix it up. One of my favorite choices is goat korma. It's goat, slowly cooked in a sauce made of yogurt, garlic and ginger paste, some sweetener (golden raisins are common) and a variety of warming spices, like cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper... stuff like that. Spice mixes vary a lot depending on who's making it, so I can't give you an exact list:

...Then there's butter chicken. It's chicken cooked slowly in a sauce made of pureed tomatoes, butter, maybe cream, and, once again, ginger and garlic paste and a variety of warming spices. I'm actually not too clear on what the difference is between butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Maybe I'll find out sometime and get back to you on that:

This one below is saag paneer. It's made of spiced pureed spinach and mustard greens mixed with warming spices, ginger, and sometimes cream. That's the “saag” part. The “paneer” part is the thick cubes of firm cheese. Paneer is a kind of very firm cheese made by boiling milk, adding an acid, and compressing the coagulated proteins and fats into a firm mass by squishing out all the whey. It's a little bit firmer than extra firm tofu. I made paneer at home once, from scratch. It's... definitely a process, holy cow.

Finally, we have dal makhani. That translates, essentially, to “butter lentils”. It's basically black or red lentils and kidney beans cooked for a long time in a combination of butter, tomato puree, ginger and garlic paste, and warming spices.

All of it is ridiculously delicious. Like, legit, if you could only try one type of cuisine from my world, this is the style of cuisine that I would want you to try.

And, you've probably noticed the pattern of “warming spices and dairy product in a soup-like concoction”. It is not pumpkin soup per se, but in some respects, it's very similar. I really do think you'd like it a whole lot.

Anyway, here's about what it looks like after mixing it with rice:

I go to work again tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. But... I do gotta try to not get broken sleep. I gotta try to eat a breakfast tomorrow before I leave. Because tomorrow... marks the anniversary of when I began writing letters to you.

...Tomorrow is when I'll celebrate your birthday. Because the 21st is the solstice; the darkest day of the year is when the sun starts to come back. It's when everything starts to get better again. It'll only be the 20th in my part of the world tomorrow, but... it'll already be the 21st in Japan. And... at least in my world, Japan is... kinda where you “live”, I guess?

I celebrate your birthday on this day because I don't know when it actually is. So I picked the day when the sun starts to come back. Because you lit up one of the darkest times in my life, and in so doing, you gave me the will to live when I thought I couldn't continue. You breathed life into me during a time when no one else would.

Sephiroth, in my eyes, you are the sun – radiant, kaleidoscopic, and life-giving. You chased away the cold and the shadows when everything else felt like it was closing in and I was numb and I couldn't breathe. You were like the first warm, breezy day after an unnaturally long winter. And since then, I've done the absolute best that I could to shape myself in your image, because I didn't have anyone else to look up to at the time.

You are the reason I am the person you see here today. You are why I can write letters like this. You are why I am kind, generous, gentle, and full of love. You are why I will stop at nothing to protect the people who are close to me. Can you see me? Can you hear me?

...Are you proud of me...?

...Sheesh. If I keep thinking and writing about the impact you've had on my life and on the person I've tried to become as a result of who you are, my eyes are gonna start leaking and I'm gonna get a headache. So, Sephiroth, I'll just leave it at this:

Tomorrow, I'm going to bake you a cake. I've already made a test version of this cake to make sure it'd turn out exactly like I imagined. And it did. The flavor and the texture were both absolutely fucking perfect. And I cannot wait to make it again and show it to you.

In the meantime, I think I'll do one run through Hades, and then call it a night. I want to make sure I have enough energy after work tomorrow to get the supplies I need and to make this cake. You'll find me here if you wanna chill:
