Um um I have some SugarHog lore accompanying a sketch of the boys.

So my name is a mix of sugar glider and hedgehog. I used to have a hedgehog named Lois and two sugar gliders named Midna from LOZ twilight princess and Daenerys from GOT (this was before the terrible ending that I refuse to acknowledge in any shape or form lol)

I’ve been really missing them recently (they’ve all passed <\3) so I drew them with Sun and Moon. Lois was super silly and would often sploot when they slept. I remember her literally climbing her cage bars and having to get her down (I added walls after that lol) Midna was the biggest grump but always had a soft side for Daenerys who was the biggest sweetheart. After Lois and Midna passed me and Daenerys were attached at the hip and I’d take her everywhere in her little pouch. She’d also just snuggle into my hair and sit there while I would draw.

Sorry for the random vent lol, I just drew the boys with them and thought I’d share where the random drawing of them with sugar gliders and a hedgehog came from.

The Paralympics start Today!

I wanted to celebrate by continuing Australia's tradition of using (definitely not) furry characters to represent our athletes lol. Wheelchair basketball was my sport back when i was playing, so i have a soft spot for it, and Australia's women's team are The Gliders, so i went with a basketball playing sugar-glider character!

I had plans to do a few more characters for different para-sports before the Paralympics end but things have come up and I'm not sure I'll have the time for more, but I really want to!

On a little side note I thought about while drawing this, having a long tail (movable or not) would be a nightmare in both wheelchair basketball and rugby lol - you aren't supposed to hit people from behind but it does inevitably happen a lot, quite aggressively, and even tucking the tail underneath the frame wouldn't protect all of it in a collision.

Detox Doodles of Sugar Gliders!

Detox doodles are daily sketches I do to curb mindless scrolling. I sometimes do them throughout the day, but lately I've been doing them in one sitting. When I have the desire to scroll, I tell myself to save the time for doodling!

The drug we're talking about is also called Angel Dust, and the most common way I've heard of it being ingested is it being dusted on weed.

My dad actually got dosed with it a couple times while delivering pizza in Tampa Florida, when people gave him weed as tips that was laced with it without telling him. In a small dose it felt "a little like acid" but smoking more triggered a grand mal seizure, and he threw the rest away. Both times he was given it, it was strangers giving him shake (already broken up weed, not whole buds.)

My grandfather Silent Thunder (a French/Meskwaki gentleman who had tried just about every psychiatric medication invented before 1960) tried the stuff, he probably got a good dose since it was the 70s, and he said it made people look like "boiling fountains of pus." He found the experience very disturbing. He also told me the story about the lady who cooked her baby, as having happened to someone he knew. He was a real tripper, and had even smoked nightshade several times, and said it was a positive experience, something Timothy Leary said he never heard a report of in his book The Psychedelic Experience. (it's a traditional medicine in the Meskwaki tribe, and he offered to show me how to smoke it properly, but frankly I was too pussy/satisfied with my medication regimen.)

The lady who told me this story did more meth than any person I have ever met, and she still wouldn't touch the stuff. Nuff said!
