What if mumbos plea is that the stress from the case has aged him horribly and he shows up in his old man skin

This is how I imagine it happening:

Everyone's in the court, Scar dies in a hilarious way, bdubs goes to start the trial and mumbo exclaims "wait just one second I need to do something before we start!" He logs out, everyone thinks that's the joke is him avoiding the trial, then he logs back in. Old and in different clothes. Scar goes along with it and says something like "Look at the state of this man! He used to be so dashing and young! Now he's old and decrepit! This is what the stress from this case has done to him! The protesters! The haggling! This poor man a this poor MUSTACHE!" And it sways bdubs over a little. Xb and doc try to show the evidence of Mumbo breaking the window but scar goes "that's obviously a different person they don't even look the same." Doc gets exasperated, xb is also exasperated but ultimately finds this hilarious.

Mumbo wins by plea of emotional distress for the fact that he's been harassed by mobs for weeks non stop outside his shop, and that he wouldn't have had a noisy shop if not for the poepoe making him build a better one.

If he loses then He'll probably be ordered to make it less noisy and to clean up the area around Xb's shop. Maybe some community service. But I think he'll win cus that's funny.

Joe will be in the back watching silently on mumbos side. Grian will also be on mumbos side cus there's no way he's missing his bestie getting sued. There will be at least one armor stand hermit.

as someone who has worked in courtrooms and actively is in law school i. i just have to talk about the cleo v doc case.

i finally got around to watching doc's entire POV after being too busy. i saw clips over and over again that were just calling my name. and oh boy did the full vid not dissapoint. my mouth was wide open the whole time in both shock and laughter. surprisingly, some of the proceedings of the court were accurate to typical US court proceedings!

here's a list of events and actions that stood out to me for their questionable realism:

- skizz's opening line was pretty accurate to how most plaintiff/prosecutions begin -"your honor, opposing council, members of the jury"

- most courts don't let you... submit evidence in opening statements but i love the hustle skizz!!

- honestly skizz's entire opening statement would have had a jury on his side

- but no jury? this would be a jury case

- honestly joe's baby defense i could see playing out in court

- joe really held up the batshit defense arguments stereotype and i love that for us 🧡

- arguing in opening to have the case dismissed... baby that time has passed. not even discovery can save you now

- i get the feeling neither joe nor doc knew the plaintiff was going to call witnesses which is not only major illegal but also so fucking funny

- this is the type of questioning a proffessor would show what leading a witness looks like

- literally during both of joes cross' i was crying it was so funny

- also ren's "i cannot recall" yeah!! that's good.

- should have brought up husband status

- skizz. please. it is not "disposition". beef did not give you a "disposition". it's "deposition". please. i'm crying.

- really good relevance objection! and skizz didn't say "relevency" so +3000 lawyer points!

- the judge firing missles at both councils is a feature i think the lower courts should implement

- DEFENSE DIDNT GET TO PRESENT A SINGLE WITNESS???

- like they had no case. the witnesses are your case. they didn't begin their case to even rest it. help?

- no experts testified but i think if D did get a witness they could've had an expert testify to either doc's baby or insane status and that would have really helped.

- joe's mens rhea argument in closing was SO GOOD. like that really was the glove moment of this trial.

anyways i'll be thinking about this for 1000 years.

The hermitcraft court system is the most insane thing ever

What do you mean random things are decided by like the most obscure minigames that the judge comes up with

What do you mean the case opens up with a bunch of fireworks going off INDOORS and killing and/or almost killing people

What do you mean half the time they'd be better off representing themselves without a lawyer to the point mumbo just stood behind scar and spoke for him

What do you mean doc shows up as a lawyer in a maid dress and then tries to hijack the case multiple times to find out who the ore snatcher is

What do you mean every side got punished INCLUDING THE LAWYER

Well except for scar, scar apparently is the only innocent party here.

The way mumbo wouldn't of been in any trouble if he didn't throw a cubic meter of bricks through beefs window lol

Just finished watching mumbo’s newest Hermitcraft episode and not only did doc show up in a maid dress as XB’s lawyer but he got sentenced to skyblock for 24 hours for trying to interrupt the trial to find the ore snatcher. Doc sounded absolutely outraged during his sentencing which is hilarious.

Scar is actually a good lawyer because with no preparation he manages to turn an open-and-shut case that would probably lead to demolition of the shop into two weeks of community service (during a time when most people will be offline) and the lawyer fees being paid by xb.
