I did start this whole blog with the dreams of one day being able to draw better equines. So Yes. I did need this.#The true benchmark of my art progress is actually the quality of how I draw Little Apple.#(no seriously go look back at my little apple tag. Then come back here).#Hey welcome back! I know right! What was I even doing at the start? That was *not* a donkey!!!#That aside - I really am thrilled that I can draw her more. Even if she's only *really* in two more comics for season 2.#I wish I had more thoughts here. I'm so distracted by the donkey rotating in my brain. I missed her so monch.#Oh! Yeah I really like the parallels here between WWX and Little apple.#Specifically the sense of how we get a nod to how he's changed.#Little apple and WWX have both grown a little less lean and hungry (one literally the other metaphorically)#This whole episode is basically about WWX's desire for something peaceful and domestic in his life.#and here is little apple - his first companion from the start of his new life - changed to something softer.#Very much a 'look how far we have come moment' that is rather subtle but enjoyable.

#(The tags are gonna be a bit of an essay I apologize :P )#I only realized late that I was mixing the designs of different references that all had slightly diff accessoires #So I just decided to add them all #I always say I want to draw more bright colours because I love them so much and then I never do because I'm bad at colour palettes #I'm always super impressed with artists who can make them all work SO well together #With that out of the way OMG I LOVE THESE CHARACTER DESIGNS SO MUCH!!!!#Had to stop myself from going into the askbox multiple times to gush about them; because I wanted to wait until now #The colours are so good! gay ppl @ a summer festival, what will they do??

#probably yearn or some shit and then go back to ignoring those feelings the next day. 😒#i went to the pool today so i was in the mood to doodle something summery #so here's something based on an idea for kurokara at a summer festival...#i imagine kuroba would run a stall for the festival ( gotta promote the shop whenever you can ya know? )#i like to think it'd be one of those shooting range games where you can win prizes and they're all flower themed stuff #like hair accessories or stuffed animals with floral patterns. it'd be very popular with couples.#kara stumbles upon their stall and watches a lovey-dovey couple come & go so he ends up moping behind the stall to kuro #like why can't he have a beautiful evening with a dazzling honey on his arm? he's not sure how they can withstand watching couples all nigh #kuroba doesn't really care. a major part of their regular customer base are ppl buying flowers for their partners so they're used to it #speaking of couples nana & her fiance ( who's visiting for the summer ) come to relieve kuro so they can go enjoy the festival #they end up inviting kara to join them and have a lot of fun together. looks like kara got his wish in the end :3c #also azuma mistakes kara as kuro's boyfriend but then nana corrects him like '' no honey i told you he's their boytoy not boyfriend.
