a while back i pitched a short film abt my childhood experiences with livestock

lately ive been thinking about saturn, the short film i pitched. ill discuss about animal death as it usually is with this film.

theres so many people in this world that do not know about the process of slaughtering and butchering an animal. some dont care and others dont want to know more details. is it so great, to not know where the food on your table comes from... how it got to exist... i always thought growing up helping grandparents out with this process was a privilege... im blessed to know this. at the same time i think, how lucky some are, for not having to know. its ugly and its nasty and it stinks so bad and it is a bloody mess. but it made me less afraid of death. made me never waste food without feeling sick and guilty. i always stared, whenever it was time to slaughter an animal, unlike my cousins. i got to learn so much because i was kind of a morbid kid. it made me hate the meat industry more than the average person, how they ruined the relationship between human and livestock. im grateful. that i know how to use all that an animal that you raised for this very purpose has to offer you. glad i can say, i am gay and i think i know how to skin a rabbit with a knife.

Hey, I’m just reaching out to people on Tumblr. You’ve probably heard of Jesus and God, but have you ever reached out to Jesus for problems in your life? Big or small. Not to make you uncomfortable, but did you know sin (in your life and other people’s lives) can really hurt you, it make feel like there is a void that is never satisfied. That void could be called a “God sized hole.” Sin sucks and not just in a cookie cutter way, but in a way that it feels like there is a decay within a person. That can be a lot to take in, but I hope it is good food for thought. I hope you’re having an awesome day!! 💕
