Kenji Sato who loves loves loooooovveeesss those subliminal couples pictures. The ‘private but not secret’ ones. They’re so aesthetically pleasing to him and they allow him to show you off to the world while still maintaining an air of privacy that he cherishes deeply from the media. Kenji is proud to call you his, and wants to show that in all ways possible.
Kenji Sato who is heavy on the couples jewelry. He’s already got a couple of notable pieces in his collection beforehand, and they only expand when you come into his life. In fact, the speculations of his love life come from the fact that people were noticing that he was wearing pieces from brands that were specifically designed for couples. Of course, when asked about it, he never goes into depth about it, and just recites how he thinks they look nice on him…and on someone else.
Kenji Sato who introduces you to his mom only after he’s sure that he wants to be serious with you. I have a feeling Emiko is the type of mom to get attached to their child’s partner in the sense of already viewing them as part of the family very early on, and Kenji wouldn’t want to get her hopes up if something were to happen - he can’t stand to see his mom upset. But when he does introduce you to his mom, you two become the best of friends! So definitely expect to be sent on girls day adventures by Kenji, cuz he’ll definitely be treating the two most important women in his life like royalty.
Kenji Sato who requires a lot of patience to deal - I mean, the man has a lot going on. Being the number one baseball player in the world, saving Japan from threats as Ultraman, and caring for the large kaiju baby Emi is more than a lot on anyone's plate. Kenji’s gonna need someone to understand that his schedule is never solid, and plans may fall through from time to time, and thats not because he’s not trying, but it’s because spontaneity runs his life and things can change at the drop of a hat, out of his control. It’s not the life he asked for, but it’s one he must take on.
Kenji Sato who doesn't exactly know how to bring up the topic of him being Ultraman, much less about Emi, early on in the relationship. I mean, how often do you tell someone that you're Japan's legendary hundred-foot tall superhero or that you're the surrogate parent to a twenty foot tall baby dragon kaiju? As much planning that he does on telling you, it ultimately happens in the worse way possible - you end up finding him mid-transition with Emi in tow...now that's gonna be an interesting story to tell. Spoiler: you stay with him, but now he's subjected to jokes about how is ego isn't the only thing that blows up to an enormous degree.
Kenji Sato who appreciates a partner that can not only deal with spontaneity, but is also rather spontaneous themselves. Surprise dates, random gifts, adventurous propositions out of the blue, I think those kind of things are right up his alley. He’s learned to live life in the moment and to the fullest, because it can be taken from you within an instant, and he wants to cherish every moment he has with you.
Kenji Sato who would spend his money on you religiously. He’ll sit in the dressing room with you as you try on armfuls of clothes, only to hand you his credit card at the end of the haul with a kiss to your temple, encouraging you to buy it all if you desire. And don't let you look at something too long in a display window, because he will have it shipped to your address in two business days. Endless trips post-baseball season in secluded locations so that the two of you can optimize the privacy you desperately crave.
Kenji Sato who’s a little bashful and nervous in the beginning, but eases into the relationship as time goes on. He doesn’t wanna mess up something so good that he has going on. Opening up takes some time, as he’s got some high walls that are hard to climb, but once you do get him to open up and bare his heart to you, don’t take it for granted. He doesn't do this to everyone, only the people he feels will truly return the care and compassion he has - so don’t prove him wrong.
Kenji Sato who seeks your comfort in the middle of the night when sleep evades him, leaving him restless and anxious. Most times, its about his mom and her disappearance, a mystery that's never left his mind. If you don't wake up to find him sitting up in bed deep in thought, or trying to tire himself out in a simulation, he finds comfort in just cuddling you, admiring your sleeping form, and talks about the most random things until the sun begins to peak over the horizon.
Kenji Sato who’s sort of in between the serious lover and the playful lover - he’s maturing in his emotions and how to deal with his past, learning how to communicate better and express himself healthily. Simultaneously, he’s a goofball and a jokester reliving a bit of his childhood in his love with you. Playful banter, jokes and teasing are equally as present as the late night talks and the deep conversations the two of you share.
Kenji Sato who tucks the chain that has his promise ring on it close to his chest, and on game days, rubs his thumb over the gold band for comfort and assurance before he heads up to bat. During championships, he'll ask you to kiss it for good luck, and when he wins, he of course accredits it to you being his 'good luck charm'.
Kenji Sato who loves deeply and fervently, with compassion and the entirety of his heart, who will do his duty and love you unconditionally an proudly while shielding you from the cruel and prying eyes of the public, letting you know time and time again that it will always be you he chooses, no matter what.

Your tmnt au meeting Monkey kid and the gang?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think you're talking about my 2012 TMNT designs? Which I understand, theyre really far from canon HELPP but they're not really an au 😭 or they were never really meant to be. Anyways I have a lot of thoughts and I could explain why I picked each character and paired them up with each other and if I can I'll definitely draw the rest of them!!
I'll explain right now why I paired Mei with Donnie and Tang with April
First and foremost though,
⚠️ NONE OF THESE ARE SHIPS ⚠️
With that out of the way I'll start with why I paired Mei and Donnie. I like to think that Mei is a super good builder and tbh, this is actually pretty canon. We see her rebuild her bike in S1 Ep 3 and in S1 Ep1 she's also the one who builds their secret fortress which is INCREDIBLY made. With this information in mind it can be quick to assume Mei is a pretty good mechanic! In S3 of 2012 TMNT we know that Casey and Donnie spend a lot of time in the small barn out back working on stuff both seperately and at times together! While I do think Casey can understand some of the tech jargon Donnie talks about (as long as it relates to car parts) I don't think Casey can really understand the technical stuff. I think Casey's knowledge probably comes from self taught experience, as a result he can identify each part and what they do but not the technical terms for them and professional blueprints for things and stuff. Which is why I think Donnie would be absolutely ecstatic to have someone able to read his work!! And like I said earlier Mei is really good with tech as we see a lot in the earlier seasons before they delved hard into mystic magic and stuff. I would have paired Mei with Casey but I have other ideas grrr!!! If people are interested I'll explain more.
Moving on to why I paired Tang with April! I kinda rewrote April a lot HELP I think her writing had a lot of problems so I just changed stuff lol. I like to think that the reason April tried so hard to prove herself and stuff was because she doesn't want to be useless. I feel like she gets sorta babies a lot (mainly by her father) and it makes her want to overachieve to prove a point, prove that she's grown and that she's perfectly capable of handling herself. The problem though is the years of fighting experience she lacks. In a normal situation April can 100% take care of herself but in ones where she faces opponents with a lifetime's experience in combat versus her measily 1 and a half years the difference is huge. And on top of this April has to figure out her psychic powers, which in S4 literally blew up in her face. I just think she struggles with feeling inadequate, when she does something she wants to be the best and it's hard for her to feel like she has a place in the team when everyone else seems not to struggle the way she does in battle. She just tends to forget the difference in fighting experience even though they're all the same age. Anyways, being unsure of ur worth on the team and struggling with your powers seems like it would be right up Tang's alley!! Tang in S3 Ep8 has a huge tipping point where we see he struggles with self doubt and feeling like he isn't needed. Then later when he discovers he has powers he struggles to control them and get them to do what he wants. I think Tang reassuring April is just a really nice gesture!! Especially since Tang and April are like the most human out of the rest of the group (excluding Casey but he struggles in a different way). I think in a group full of spectacular talents, it's easy to feel ordinary which is a thought I think plagues Tang and April's minds while their characters develop. I tried to keep this short so I hope it makes sense ahhh if you're still reading you're totally awesome and cool!!!

Pairings: Tangerine x gn!civilian!drunk!reader
Tags/Warnings: cursing/language, alcohol alcohol consumption, drunk character, mention of gambling/betting, bar atmosphere, kissing/make out, mentions of fire arms/weapons
Word Count: 5.3K
Summary: You are drunk. Not “black out and forget the entire night “ drunk, but white girl at the club with her friends drunk. One of your bestest friends is getting married soon and tonight you and the rest of your eccentric friend group are club/bar hopping to celebrate the engagement! Your friend group told you to think about it like the bachelorette party before the bachelorette party. Whatever that means… The group isn’t a big group, only about seven people, but the seven people all come from various backgrounds. Three of your friends come from pretty well off families and happened to be in university for law school. One of your friends works for some huge tech company with something to do with security. One of them comes from a line of surgeons and happens to be in residency for surgery. Your best friend and bride-to-be comes from an extremely wealthy and famous family, you aren’t really sure what for, but you know it has to do with tycoons and business and yada yada. And then there was you. You were in university too, at the same establishment as the rest of the group, but you didn’t come from lines of money. You were in school for education.
Various backgrounds or not, your bestie for the restie wants to go absolutely ballistic and celebrate her girlfriend finally popping the question, so of course your study buddy group just has to go out! With the intentions of bar and club hopping, you all end up at an arcade? Or a bowling alley? You aren’t really sure, but the place has heaps of alcohol, arcade games, a place to bowl, mini golf, and also some cute patrons….
************************************************************************
You honestly could not believe that you had agreed to this. You had been friends with your group for almost five years and you had always said you would do anything for them, but you never thought it meant being out since about 7:00 PM celebrating Ava May’s proposal. When you had gotten the notification that afternoon with an image attached, you were hoping that her partner, Jordan, had finally popped the question and you were right. And of course the groupchat had blown up.
┎┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┒
“Girls, Gays, & Daddies $$$”
Leoni: SHUT THE FUCK UP DID THEY REALLY PROPISE THIS TIME!!>>??!>!? Mateo: here comes leon with the typos 🙄 BUT OMG CONGRATS AVA!!!!!!! Camilia: HOOOOOOLYYYYY SHIT!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!! THEY HAD THE FUCKING BALLSSSSS You: OMG YESS!!!!! WHEN’S THE WEDDING!!?? Elijah boo: FORGET the wedding!!!!! bitch, when are we CELEBRATING!!!!!! Naomi: omg can we PLEASE go out tonight!!!!???  Wrenster: omg ava congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it took them long enough!!!!!! Ava Bear: omg y’all already KNOW we’re going out tonight!!!!!! b @ my house 5pm SHARP troops 🫡
┖┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┚
Of course five o’clock came, and everyone in the group chat was at Ava’s house. You all got to congratulate Jordan and Ava on the engagement, and say hello to both their family’s, but quickly carried Ava away to party the night away. That was of course after all seven of you pregamed getting ready.
The group was a close knit one. You all were giggling and laughing and dancing around each other while getting ready, raiding Ava’s closet and her accessories and checking yourselves in the mirrors. Everyone had gone for outfits that made them stand out, but complemented their features. You had ended up in some brightly colored crop top that Ava had shoved into your hands, your sneakers, and some designer jeans that Mateo had said would have your ass looking like you did 500 squats a day. You had laughed and rolled your eyes at that. You were pretty sure Mateo just wanted you to feel sexy.
The rest of the group had picked similar outfits. Some exposing skin, other’s exposing less skin but featuring skin-tight clothing pieces. Some had added accessories to their hair, their neck, their wrists and more. With six other bodies dancing around, you honestly hadn’t gotten a great look at everyone’s outfits – but you figured it didn’t matter anyway because by the end of the night most of those outfits would probably look a lot different from how they looked currently. And once everyone was ready, you all headed towards Ava’s car where a driver was waiting. And you all climbed in and pregamed some more.
Half of the group tended to be “partiers”not crazy party goers, but they liked to spend time when they could out having a good time. That didn’t really happen to be up your alley. You were a little more introverted than your friend group, especially since you didn’t necessarily have the same funds your friends did. The group loved paying your way through parties though and always made sure you were included, but the combination of feeling bad and not loving the party scene meant you didn’t go out with them as much as they probably would’ve liked you to. But this night was different. Everyone in the group had already sternly told you that tonight you and Ava were not spending a dime on anything. Mateo telling you that tonight that they were celebrating Ava’s engagement and also the rare occasion of you going all out tonight with them.
You didn’t disagree.
And that’s how you and your friend group ended up at some club? Arcade? Bowling alley? Bar? You weren’t sure what to call it, but the place seemed to have it all.. There was a bar with many-a-drinks, bowling alley lanes, an arcade, neon minigolf, laser tag, and televisions everywhere, each featuring a different sporting event which you assumed was for people betting on games.
It was loud, and dark, but also brightly lit all at the same time. You were cold, but kept comfortable with the warmth of your friend group buzzing around you. You were very out of your element. You would’ve been slightly uncomfortable if you hadn’t already had about seven? No, you think eight? You weren’t sure, but you and the rest of the group had a fair amount of alcohol in you.
Right then, everything seemed a little fuzzy. You had glanced at your phone and thought you had read some time around 11:00 PM, but with Rihanna blasting over the speakers in the building, it was a little hard to concentrate.
The group was currently at a bar-like table. Mateo, Elijah, Ava, and Naomi were currently on their fourth round of bowling with Ava still somehow in the lead. Leon, Wren and Camilia had snuck away from the group either to get more drinks or maybe to play mini golf, you really couldn’t remember.
Your glossed over gaze was disturbed by Mateo standing up and stretching as long as he could, his arms reaching up a little revealing a bit of his stomach.
“Okay, I am going back to the bar to get another drink, anyone else coming?” He said, eyes bouncing around the faces at the table. Nobody responded as they all seemed to be involved with something else at the time, so you stood up quickly.
“Mmmmmmm, I’ll come with Matty!” You smiled and trailed after him as he led the way to the bar.
“You know there’s some cuties here, you should try and chat one up.” He says, side eyeing you as you both arrive at the bar to look over what you want.
You roll your eyes and playfully push his shoulder. “That would be a grand idea except I’m drunker than a skunk currently and we’re here to celebrate Ava, not find me a date.”
Mateo rolls his eyes as he orders both of your drinks and collects them.
“Okay, yeah we are celebrating Ava, but you know good and damn well if I told that girl you saw a hot guy looking your way that she would jump on the idea of you making a move tonight.” Mateo chuckles as he finishes his sentence and starts walking you both back to the table, curving through the different people.
“I know, but tonight I’m just hanging out with you guys. I’m honestly shocked that nobody has attracted any spare wild men to the table with how loud and obnoxious we’re being tonight.” You laugh, a tiny hiccup slipping out of your mouth.
As you and Mateo round the corner to your table, Mateo sees the group before you and busts out into laughter. “Oh my dear, have you truly jinxed yourself tonight.” He walks the few steps to the table, puts the two drinks down. “Hellooooo boys!”
When Mateo steps aside, you're greeted by the eyes of two men who look like they don't belong here. They both are extremely attractive, but both appear to be in suits. Like suit suits. Like they could be working at the bank. You recognize the two as workers for Ava’s father. Bodyguards. Or honestly the word babysitters fit the situation too. ‘Babysitters with bullets,’ you think to yourself as you look down at one of the men’s waists, catching a glimpse of a not-so-hidden weapon.
Your thought is cut off by that said man speaking and your eyes trail from his waist to his face. He holds eye contact with you before speaking. “Sorry to crash this here lil shindig, but you lot should be wrapping all this,” he twirls a finger around in the air, referencing the group, “up pretty soon. It’s getting late.”
Once he finishes his sentence, it’s now his turn to look at you. You watch his eyes look up and down, scanning what felt like every inch of your body, before he looks back to Ava as she begins to speak.
“Oh my god! Look, I know Daddy sent you two to “look after me”’ Ava uses huge air quotes, “but I’m old enough to make sure I don’t get fucking dragged off drunk off my fucking ass. We’re just celebrating, just chillax, yeah?” Ava lets out a giggle as she clearly slurs her words and then playfully slaps the shoulder of the man that hadn’t spoken yet.
“Come on Tangerine, just let them be, yeah? They’re not doing any harm and they're all in one spot.” The man says, putting a hand on Tangerine’s shoulder, giving it a little squeeze and shake. If you remember right, you’re pretty sure he goes by Lemon. Or that’s what you’ve heard Ava’s father call him.
“Yeah Tangerine! Just let us chilllllll” Naomi drags out the last word as she tries to put a hand on his chest. He takes a step back away from her, his face slightly puckering up as it seems like he stifles a face of annoyance.
You sit down next to Ava, across from where the open seat in front of Tangerine is.
“Look. Ava’s father gave clear instructions to make sure she doesn’t make any fucked decisions tonight. And seeing as sh–” Tangerine’s speech is cut off once more, this time surprisingly by Elijah.
“Look man, if your concern is making sure Ava isn’t dead in a ditch, why don’t you two just pull a seat up at the table. It isn’t like we’re going anywhere else tonight, just fucking sit and relax. Have a drink!” Elijah almost barks this out before returning to the game of bowling. He’s currently in second place, behind Ava and you know he’s dying to beat her.
Lemon gives a nod before sitting down at the bar, grabbing Ava’s half finished beer and taking a swig. Tangerine on the other hand reluctantly takes a seat in front of you. You watch his demeanor once he’s sat. It seems like he’s avoiding your gaze, and you’re not sure why. You watch his face as he observes the people around you. You can’t tell if he’s just surveying the place or if he’s just uncomfortable. His body language looks stiff and his hands are clasped on the table in front of him.
“You have pretty eyes…” The sentence slips out of your mouth as you stare at him, rubbing your own eye as you feel yourself getting a little tired. You were hoping to break the silence. “Also pretty arms.” You let out a little giggle as you prop your head on your hand, continuing to stare at the pretty man sitting across from you.
You talking seems to bring him back to the group at hand. Or at least brings his attention to you. He gives you a weird look, seeming to calculate what to say. “And you seem pretty drunk, love.” He reaches across the table, grabbing your drink and taking a sip from it before returning it to you. “And that’s a pretty strong drink you got.”
You give yet another giggle, reaching for your drink and taking a sip. You were drunk all right, but you needed more liquid courage if you were going to be in the presence of this man. Your brain had fallen quiet and your friends seemed to not be coming to your rescue in this one.
You recall a comment from Mateo earlier in the night about ‘letting you do your thing if you ever came across a hot ass man tonight.’
You had been around Tangerine and Lemon before. From what you could recall, they weren’t truly employed by Ava’s father. You’re pretty sure it was more like a freelance thing? They weren’t always around Ava and her family, but they were hired common enough for you to know exactly who they are and remember Tangerine.
The first time you had ever met the two, the group was at a soccer game in the city. You were in Ava’s family’s suite at the game having a blast. You remember spotting Tangerine and asking Ava just who the tall man was exactly. After that, any time Tangerine and Lemon were hired to babysit Ava, you always basically gawked at the man. After Tangerine and Lemon left for the room, your friend group, especially Ava liked to tease you. Ava and Mateo knew you had a thing for Tangerine. Ava liked to get her father to hire the two as much as possible, especially if you were present. It meant you saw him often. It meant you thought about him often. You thought his curls were pretty and you could imagine what it would feel like to run your fingers through his beautiful hair. You could recall the accent he had. You thought the tattoos he had were attractive, or maybe it was just because they were on his arms. And god did he have pretty arms.
You’re once again brought out of daydreaming, this time by Naomi sitting down by Tangerine and placing a hand on the back of his shoulder, and one hand on his chest. You don’t listen to what she’s saying, but by the look on their face, you know she’s flirting. And hard. You hear her let out a giggle as she makes some sort of comment about the man before you swap from sipping your drink to straight up downing it.
You slam the cup down on the table and shoot up. “I’m off to get another drink..” You twirl around, maybe a little too fast, and begin heading for the bar.
You know the announcement of your departure was a little stern. You don’t know why, but it almost got on your nerves that Naomi was making a pass at the man. You let the jealousy stay for a second before rationalizing the thought.
‘I’m not actually jealous. It’s late and I’m drunk, it isn’t that big of a deal, I’m just being silly.’ You think to yourself as you arrive at the bar, propping both elbows up onto the ledge and waiting for a bartender to notice you. You wipe your face hoping to clear your mind.
While waiting your eyes slowly are drawn to one of the television hung above the bar – some wrestling match was going on. You notice the other people at the bar, their eyes glued to the screen. ‘I don’t understand why they are so invested.’ You think to yourself as you turn your attention back to in front of you, looking at the drink choices before noticing a man standing to your right. You turn your head and are happily met by the pretty blue eyes of a curly headed man.
You grin.
“Tangeriiinnnneeeeee” You draw out his name. You aren’t quite sure if it is on purpose or if you’re just drunk, but it didn’t matter as you watched the man’s lips twist into a smirk itself.
“Interested in the match, are we?” He asks, nodding back to the television.
“Mmmmmm, not quite. I’m not much of a sports fan.” You give a glance at the match before turning your attention back to him, noticing his shirt. He usually had it buttoned up all the way, as professional as you can get. But tonight, you notice at least two, maybe three buttons that seem to be open. You can see a tattoo peeking out from under his shirt. You take a deep breath before your eyes return to his. He had watched you check him out yet again.
You clear your throat before asking, “Are you a fan?”
He doesn’t break eye contact. “I am tonight.”
A noise escapes your throat, almost a hum. He still hadn’t broken eye contact. Maybe it was just you, but it seemed like it had gotten hard to breathe. You felt like you hadn’t taken a breath in ages. “And why’s that?” You ask, still looking at him and still maintaining eye contact.
In the moment you felt like the only thing in the room was him.
“Got money on the small guy. Everyone likes an underdog story, yeah?” The smirk returns to his face.
You nod your head in agreement. Once again, your brain has gone blank. The sudden movement of his lips catches your attention as your eyes quickly dart down to his lips, and quickly dart back up to his eyes. He had watched that happen too.
As your eyes meet, your body forces you to take a deep breath. You notice he does the same. Maybe his breath had also been caught in his throat. You realize the sound of the world around you also comes back to you.
You’re brought back to the real world completely as a bartender greets you and Tangerine, asking what you two will have. But before you can answer for yourself, Tangerine speaks for you.
“Water for this one, and whisky for me.” He says before telling the bartender exactly what he wants. As soon as the bartender turns to go grab the materials, you turn back to Tangerine.
“I can’t order for myself now?” You jokingly ask, your voice getting a little higher in disbelief as you raise both your eyebrows in fake disbelief.
He looks at you and gives a scoff. “You can, but I don’t know if you should be at this particular time darling.” He gives you a sly smile, one probably meant to comfort you.
And you lose your breath again and you avert your eyes. You thought you had gotten confident, but you weren’t expecting him to call you that. You clear your throat. And start to mess with a laminated menu on the bar.
“So why exactly are you here tonight? You know this isn’t the first stop we’ve made, right?” You ask, trying to change the subject. Or at least to get him talking.
“We’ve been hanging back most of the night. Nothin’ suspicious has happened, but a few o’ you idiots are getting a little too far gone. Ava’s father sent us specifically to watch her. The rest of the group is just an added bonus. Don’t wanna make any rich parents mad, do we?” He asks the last part rhetorically.
This time he’s the one looking away. He takes a drink while looking off. You can’t read the expression on his face, but it isn’t quite neutral. He looks like something is on his mind.
“You don’t seem all that excited to be babysitting a bunch of adults. Why do you even take the jobs offered by Ava’s family? I assume there’s other things you could be doing.” After speaking you realize your tone seemed a little snippy. You hadn’t meant for it to come out rudely, but it did just a tad. You really were on a roll tonight.
You didn’t want to necessarily influence the man to stop taking the jobs, but you were curious. You could tell by what he was wearing that he had money. In previous interactions, you had drawn the same conclusion. You weren’t extremely up to date with the latest fashion trends when it came to wealth, but you did know that the watch on his wrist looked very similar to one that Elijah had. And you knew it wasn’t cheap. Plus the extensive wardrobe the man seemed to have also led you to believe he was pretty well off for himself.
He half turns his head back to you, side eyeing you with a scrunched eyebrow.
“A little touchy on the subject are we?” He asks you before setting his drink down. He rubs his chin before turning his face to yours.
“Ava’s father pays well. The jobs easy, quick and usually clean. Easy money.” He pauses and you watch his eyes move down to your lips and back up to your eyes and then down to the drink back in his hand. “It's an added bonus that sometimes you idiots can be entertaining.”
“Well. I’ll agree that they – we – can be quite entertaining. I can imagine it can be a little obnoxious at times.” A few times come to mind.
Like this year's New Years Eve party held at Ava’s. Camilia had drunk way too much champagne and had eaten quite a few shrimps. She was in the midst of a nasty break up with a pretty popular actor and had seen the reports of him attending a party that night with his co-star. A smile comes to your face as you remember the look of absolute horror on Tangerine’s face when Camilia had thrown up on him. You remember Lemon’s gasp.
Or the one time you, Ava, and Leon had somehow ran into one of Leon’s father’s old clients who had recently gotten out of prison. You three had been out shopping at the beach when the man confronted the group. Calmly at first, but very quickly drew a gun and began yelling at you three. Tangerine and Lemon had resolved the situation as quickly as the man had appeared.
Or one of the most recent events. For Ava’s birthday, she had thrown a huge, fancy party out of the country. Some place in Ireland, with almost a Bridgerton theme. Somehow you and Tangerine ended up in a room on the outskirts of a castle while the party was booming in the distance. You remember how close he had gotten to you. How close his face had gotten to yours. How he had stared at your lips for what felt like ages as you spoke. You remember the silence that happened after you had finished speaking, and the way his eyes darted quickly back to your eyes to just as quickly return to your lips. You also remember the way he had drawn away from you as Jordan had busted into the room looking for Ava. You weren’t one hundred percent sure, but you were pretty confident that if she hadn’t done so, Tangerine would have kissed you.
“I wouldn’t say ‘obnoxious’. Not all of you at least.” Tangerine says. He seems to have a distant look in his eyes. You wonder if the memory of you two alone in Ireland had come to mind. You hope it had.
Eventually you and Tangerine began reminiscing on some of the funnier moments that had happened while him and Lemon had been present.
You two had moved from the bar to a small table in a corner. Tangerine was still able to see the rest of your group, most importantly Ava. Even then, it wouldn’t have mattered anyways as Ava had convinced Lemon to join the current round of bowling. The group didn’t seem like they were going anywhere and neither did Lemon.
The place was still as loud as ever, but in the corner it was a little easier to hear each other. The neon lights that were reflecting off of most everything in the building was giving Tangerine a glow. The lights were giving his hair a darker complexion than normal, while highlighting his blue eyes. If you weren’t sitting so close to him, you wouldn’t have noticed the details. But fortunately for you, you were.
You were close enough to him to smell his cologne. He smelled almost like citrus. Or maybe like sandalwood? Or maybe like the inside of a linen closet? You weren’t exactly sure of the scent profile, but he smelled good. He smelled familiar.
“Do you remember Ireland? That birthday party was insane! I don’t know how you two kept up with Ava that week, it felt like every ten seconds we were going somewhere new!” You let out a small laugh remembering just how crazy it had been.
Tangerine rolls his eyes with a smile on his face. “You honestly think I would forget? I felt like I needed a leash on that girl. I wish she would have stayed around me or Lemon like you had during the trip.” His eyes light up a little as he scans your face.
You hadn’t realized you had been so obvious on that trip. Most of the friend group had paired off in Ireland and you remember hoping to talk more to Tangerine on the trip. You hadn’t made it your priority of course, but during down times or sightseeing activities you had hoped to hear his thoughts.
The air got thin once more. You realized that you both were leaning in towards each other. You were sitting in your chair sideways. Your right elbow propped on the table, with your hand propping your head up turned towards Tangerine, your back turned to the group’s table. Tangerine was turned towards you, almost leaning into your space with his right arm draped over the back of your chair, his hand hung in the open air between the back of your chair and your side. His left arm draped into his lap. Your legs sandwiched in between his.
You hadn’t realized just how physically close you too were. Talking with him and drinking water seemed to have sober you up some. Realizing how close you were to him also helped to sober you up in the moment. Your eyes trailed to his lip as you went to speak.
“Well, I’d never pass up the chance to be around you all day.” You say, a little softly as you had grown even more distracted by each and every centimeter of his face. You think about how soft his skin would feel in your hands.
You readjust yourself, trying to redirect your thoughts. You sit up a little straighter and let your hand that had been previously holding up your head fall into your lap. It unintentionally brushes Tangerine’s knee and you watch it slightly move, almost shocked by the touch. Sitting up like you were now meant that your face was even closer to his. You really hadn’t realized how much you two were leaning into each other.
You're staring at Tangerine’s lips when your eyes rush back to his as he places a hand right above your knee. You watch as he begins to lean in, his eyes on your lips. Before you can even process that his hand is practically on your thigh. He stops an inch away from you, his eyes moving up to meet your glance. His eyes meet yours for only a second before they move back down to your lips, and once again back to your eyes. You could feel him let a breath out, nearly a scoff.
“You’re extremely drunk.” He says dryly. and goes to pull away from you.
“I was dead sober in Ireland.” You quickly remark before retaking the distance he had put between the two of you. You plant a quick kiss on his lips.
“I haven’t forgotten about Ireland either.” You say softly as you move one of his curls behind his ear that had fallen when you kissed him a little too forcefully, the fear of missing another chance had brought some adrenaline into your system. Your hand makes its way to the back of his head as you begin to play with his hair. “I’ve been hoping you would be around more after that trip. Especially after the party.”
The hand Tangerine had set previously on your knee quickly moves to your face as he gently goes to hold your chin before lifting it up. This time h initiates the kiss. He’s more gentle than you were.
You grin into the kiss, only slightly thinking about how contrasting the situation was. The harsh man kisses gently, yet you, a more soft person kissed him like you were a thirteen year old kissing their crush at the school dance, afraid to be seen.
His hand moves from your chin to hold your head as he pulls you in more. Once he’s pulled you in as close as he can, his hand trails to your waist where it rests. Both of your hands quickly move back to his head where you pull him in closer.
His mustache tickles you, but you don’t care. All you could think about was how his head felt in your hands. How you wanted to be closer to him. How his hand was pulling your waist in. How his lips felt against yours. How you felt like you were breathing for the first time this entire night.
Your breath hitches as you feel his fingers dig into your waist. You feel yourself becoming warm as your attention is drawn to the fact that his skin is touching yours. Both of Tangerine’s hands are now holding on to your waist, pulling you in even more if it’s possible. One of his hands begins to trail up your back. It feels like he’s trying to find a better way to pull you closer to him, but at this point if you two got any closer you would be in his lap.
You accidentally let out what you think is supposed to be a gasp as one of his hands runs back down your spine, returning to your waist once more. This doesn’t faze Tangerine as he takes the short break from your lips to move both his hands now to either side of your head as he pulls you back into the kiss, not without a short and breathy ‘shit’ that escapes his mouth.
You aren’t sure who initiates the harsher kiss, but you didn’t care. As Tangerine bites your lower lip, you let out a breath and you grab onto the neckline of his unbuttoned shirt. Tangerine plants one last hard kiss onto your lips he pulls away, and leans into your ear before.
“I’d slow your breathing down, we’re about to have a visitor, yeah?” He plants a kiss on your cheek and pulls his head back to look at you before wiping your lips to get rid of some spit that had been left from when you two had separated. “Gotta make sure you look good too, dear.”
He takes a deep breath in, clears his throat and seats back against his chair, while running both of his hands over his head in an attempt to put his hair back in place after you had tussled it. He then leans back in his chair, giving a smile at the unwelcome visitor.
You wipe your hands over your face, and then over your own hair in an attempt to self soothe. You take a deep breath yourself as you try to slow your breathing and your heart rate. You wipe your hands down the thighs of your jeans before turning to meet whoever was coming towards you.
“Hey, you guys ready to go? Lemon is rounding up the rest of the group now. Ava and Elijah finally got bored with bowling.” Naomi says before finishing the drink she had in hand.
“Right. We’ll be over shortly.” Tangerine says, raising his eyebrows at Naomi and turning his attention back to you. You give her a smile and a nod to acknowledge her. As she goes to walk back to the table, you turn yourself back towards Tangerine.
“Glad we weren’t interrupted before this happened. Hope it was worth the wait.” Tangerine says giving you a sly smile.
You let out a half hearted laugh. If you thought nothing was in your brain beforehand, it was even more empty now. All you could think of now was when you would be alone with him again.
“How long did you say you and Lemon were staying this time around?” You manage to get out, looking up at him. You didn’t want to get your hopes up, but you also wanted to do this again.
Tangerine chuckles as he fixes his shirt from where you had grabbed it as he goes to answer, “I’m in the city for a couple of days. Off work too.” He tucks a curl behind his ear. “You have something in mind that could keep me busy?”
You nod your head as you give out a short laugh. “Ask me out to a proper dinner and I think we could figure something out."

My Calypso with Miss @gigizetz 's background. I'll put my thought process below the art bc I don't wanna type out a whole paragraph above the art. Also there are spoilers, so yeah
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm basically just copying what I explained to my friends and put on my instagram post so bear with it.
To celebrate Epic: The Musical's Wisdom Saga coming out I drew my version of Calypso. I went through a couple different ideas before settling on her because what her design was to me, is right up my alley. I used Miss Gigi's background shot, so by NO means is it mine.
She has 7 eyes bc she trapped Ody for 7 yrs and it's the 7th saga. Her 4 arms show literally holding Odysseus hostage. More than 2 eyes show that she always has her eyes on him. The chains are like what's keeping him trapped yk. She's wearing traditional Trinidadian clothes so not much on that. Her hairstyle I always pictures half up so I did that and I based the braids on a hairstyle I've had multiple times. Her nose is also based off of me bc I am an Island girlie. Her earrings are the first earrings me and my cousins and the rest of us have gotten and that's like the trini default earrings. The ripples are vaguely like waves since she lives on an island.
About the design I have some notes but there are a couple things I wanted to say. Basically since the creator of Epic: The Musical, Mr. Jorge Rivera-Herrans, used calypso music for the Calypso character, I based her heavily off of my culture, Trinidad and Tobago culture. I figured calypso music was from the islands but was too scared to claim it in case it wasn't from my country specifically, but knowing that made the design process a lot more relaxed. I wasn't grown up with traditional Trinidadian clothing, save for when I participated in Carnival as a kid, so I had to do research on the dresses and stuff. Drawing non-human characters, even if humanoid, is something I've been trying recently and I'm starting to enjoy it.
Side note: I imagine if I were to animate this, Odysseus' confusion at Calypso being a goddess would dissipate when she opens the 5 other eyes she has.
Please go listen to Epic, it's been consuming me whole since 2020 or so

Thoughts on Daggerheart!!
I'll admit I haven't really been following it until today, but after watching the videos released today I got very excited and ended up building a character and reading a lot of the book, as I am wont to do (might post about them later lol).
Now, full disclosure, I wouldn't say I'm all that familiar with the TTRPG space outside of D&D, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. That said, I've played D&D, Wanderhome, Alice is Missing, and the fan-made Hollow Knight TTRPG, and I've watched some AP of Kids on Bikes, Call of Cthulhu, Monsterhearts, and Candela Obscura, which is a longer list than I was expecting. Huh. Anyways, my thoughts!
I really like the duality dice! It's such an interesting way to do mixed success that incorporates story/character into mechanics, which is great.
Related to that, I also like Hope as a fluid resource, and I think that Fear is a nice way to both prompt GM action and to just create a fun sense of dread as the GM takes more tokens
The lack of turn order/action economy is... cool, and a really interesting idea, but my thoughts on this are complicated. As we're seeing in the oneshot right now, it really helps to keep combat as part of the story and give the players and GM room for creativity. (For example, Bunnie describing a counterstrike as part of her dodge, and being able to take it as soon as the GM's turn is over, as well as the tag team feature, which is very cool.) That said, I think this mechanic might not work so well with less experienced or less confident players, who might have trouble taking the initiative (heh) to act in combat (I know I certainly would if I wasn't playing with close friends). That's not really a criticism though -- this is a collaborative storytelling game, and part of playing it is making big moves and taking turns guiding the story. If that's not for you, then you might prefer a different system, which is fine! I think this mechanic has the potential to be really, really dope, but I also think it's the bit that has the most potential to go poorly in my eyes.
The art, design, and general aesthetic feel of this game are so unbelievably up my alley. I love it. That's all.
I'm excited to see that they're working on mechanics for playing disabled characters, but since they aren't out yet I can't really comment. (I did notice that the character in the bard art is in a wheelchair, which is dope.) Also, as others have noted, Daggerheart uses "heritage" and "ancestry" rather than "race", which is a small but good choice.
Personally, I also really like the choice to move away from precise measurements of distance and gold. This one is very much a personal preference, and I know some people will rightfully disagree, but I like it! As a DM, trying to determine the appropriate costs and rewards for things has always been a headache, and this seems much easier to manage; measuring distances with convenient and tangible measurements like the short side of a playing card or the length of a piece of paper also feels much easier to use.
The downtime mechanics are great! Each of the activities you can take prompts you to describe how you heal yourself or another, destress, repair armor, or prepare yourself for what's ahead, which really encourages quieter character moments both introspectively and with others. I'm a big fan of this. This combining of role play and mechanics is also present in other features, such as one of the major level 1 healing abilities, which is more effective if you spend the time it takes to cast learning something new about the person you're healing or sharing something about yourself.
I didn't look at this too closely because I was just making a character for fun and don't have a party to play with, but as part of character creation you're given questions about your relationships to your party members to answer. Wanderhome also has these, and they were MASSIVELY successful in creating depth and meaningful connections between players -- after our table's session zero I was already so invested in all our characters, and when we actually played them they really came to life. I haven't looked to closely at Daggerhearts version of this, but I'm very excited to see them.
The experience mechanic seems really fun and creative, and I especially like the idea of using a phrase rather than something specific. That said, when I played the Hollow Knight TTRPG, which also lets players create their own skills, the open endedness of it was more confusing than inspiring, and there was a lot of potential for a usefulness disparity between players. I do think Daggerheart explains it better, though, and limiting the use of experience with a Hope cost helps to counteract any choices that might be too broad, so hopefully it will work better
I probably have more thoughts, but it getting late and I have a headache, so that's all I'm saying for now :D
Overall, Daggerheart has combined a lot of things I've liked in other games with promising mechanics I haven't seen before, and I'm very excited to try it out. I'm now realizing that I just made a list of things I like without any negative feedback, which isn't what I wanted to do, but I'm not really sure what to criticize without having played it myself.
I'm most curious to see how the non-initiative mechanic works; it has the potential to be a really excellent solve for a major problem in D&D (plenty of people have talked about how initiative limits teamwork, can be boring when its not your turn, etc, so I won't get into it here), but I don't think it's a solution that will work for everyone. Of course, games can't work for everyone, and shouldn't try to. It's working really well on CR's oneshot as I write this, but making choices and sharing spotlight in TTRPGs is literally their job, so I'm not surprised this works for them. I could see this going really well with some tables I've played with, and really poorly with others. I'm still really optimistic, though; it seems like the kind of thing that with the right table could be really excellent.

TEMPTING FATE - EP. 1
i'm going totally blind into this one, i have no idea what is what and what this is about, and why the title sounds like a coleen hoover's book... BUT, i'm very willing to give it a chance because i'm b-o-r-e-d.
so, i played episode 1, and i have thoughts.
and yes, i know i'm late but i didn't even know there was a new season out because work and personal life have been pretty insane. and apparently there were two seasons released in one year? but i'm not sure if it was now or 2023, let me know!
and this is what i'm gonna do: i'm not gonna play the episode more than once. the first impression i get is what's gonna stick. and since the season is over i'm kinda glad i don't have to wait around for episodes. i'm currently on license from work due to an accident, so let me talk about the season, 'cause i have the time lol
let's start with the characters.
jin. um, he's fucking adorable! i do enjoy guys that are humorous but i'm afraid i see a lot of bobby's personality in him. granted, he's WAAAAAAAAAAAAY sassier with his attitude towards us, which i like a lot. i was a little upset about the kyle xy bellybutton but hey, nobody's perfect. overall i like him, he's really cute!
luna. hot. oh my god, and she seems like a really cool person, especially given jin is interested in somebody else and she doesn't pull a lottie, you know? but i have to make an observation about her design: the head doesn't match the body. the position, the shading, the coloring, they don't match, BUT, again, nobody's perfect. but i do hope she becomes an LI because she's EXACTLY MY TYPE. cool fashion (although that panty is... questionable), cool style, cool hair, tattoos, beautiful, chill... right up my alley.
claudia. listen, i've dated a couple of claudia's before, and i like her. very assertive without being intense. her design is really good, she's beautiful as fuck, and that little crumb about being bi? i'm invested. i'm on board with her, but her taste is questionable because that guy? NO FROM ME BABES.
jack. no. i don't like him because i keep forgetting he's here, and when he is? annoying. i don't care for his looks either. i'm usually into guys with long hair but he's just... not attractive lol
mold-man. i don't remember his name but he's coupled up with claudia. he's acting like i'm out here spreading my legs and squirting for him. why? i haven't said anything remotely sexual or romantic to him and he keeps repeating he's affirmingly fucking claudia. ok, moldy bitch? stay away from me, i only touch mold to clean it.
oakley. HOT. oh my god, very attractive, chill and kinda cheeky, i like him. i prefer people like him, that can flirt without talking too much. i will say, his painted on abs kinda made me laugh a bit, but i still think he's very up there on my list. personality and looks just like i like it.
sour-face-girl. i don't remember her name, she's coupled up with oakley. let me just be vulnerable for a bit... i kinda live lol she's annoying, sure, but like, yeah, i get it. a hotter girl just walked in and your partner is drooling like a dog, work lol i hope she becomes mc's nemesis, something comparable to priya, personality wise, but if i get an allegra? i don't mind it. we need drama that makes sense and she makes perfect sense!
sophie. she reminds me of someone who has body modification to look like a lion or something. she was definitely touched by an angel, not that there's anything wrong with that, but if your personality is grating as hers is, i'm out. i don't care for her, so much that i had to go back into this post and add her, and i just remembered she's insecure over fucking jack??? bitch, you can do better than that.
STORYLINE.
we're bombshells again, i like that. i'm not sure if there was a bombshell MC after that first time, but i don't mind it. i like that they keep a little mystery about what happened on the first few days, but here's my thing: stop repeating it. i get it, you want to keep us playing and engaged, but you can be a little more... subtle with it.
the thing is, i do enjoey the fact that not everybody likes mc, from both sides, because it's not realistic. oakley is chill, jin is invested, jack is... there, and mold man is not into it, I LIKE THAT.
i also like that we get multiple reactions from the girls about their partners being interested. we have a chill one, one that seems a little more intense, one that is looking around scared like she's in a slasher movie lol
it's fun!
one thing that kinda grinded my gears because there's no reason for them to put it there: NON-ALCOHOLIC BEERS. can someone explain to me why a bunch of twenty-something-year-olds would drink something that tastes like piss if it's not gonna give them a buzz? sorry, i need the drinks, i need the cocktails, i need the you know, pop up the bubbly or whatever. it was so funny to me they referred to it like three times, just to remind us they are non-alcoholic. i don't get it, what did i miss??
anyway
as far as the first episode goes, i thought it was decent. it's not gripping but it's definitely fun, enough for me to play episode 2 and going forward.
ah! i forgot, another thing that got me a bit annoyed: the diamond choices!! these were wild! 17 diamonds to talk to your wanted boy? that seems like a lot for the first time! i'm just getting to know these people and i don't have any grips about not talking to y'all if it's gonna cost that much! and i remember saying this back when they changed the number of diamonds on different choices. don't vibe with that, and WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT PAY FOR IT, 'cause i know it doesn't interfere with your relationships in the villa.
but i also will hunt them down on tumblr later lol
i also have to give a little praise about the "watching ads to get diamonds". it's a good option. i'm not doing all that, but it's nice we can.
so, overall i'll keep playing and talking about it.
also, also, let me say this: i missed tumblr a lot! i really did! it had been so long i wasn't here that my last draft was from last year, like november or something! this is crazy, time is going by really fucking quickly! so you know, i missed you guys and i missed posting. i'll try to do it more and get back to writing chapters for w.i.p's
that is all, have a great day!

Have you heard of swap hazbin hotel? If you do, then here is an idea for an au of Devil's bastard. This is roleswap, the personality would stay the same or similar.
What if it was alastor that open the hotel. The hotel's design would resemble his and his mother's old home. He did it as an experiment or because he was bored, knowing that no one would support redemption, no one except Charlie. She fully support the hotel idea and Alastor is now along the ride. Then when Charlie's father came, Alastor may not do much antagonize because he was the one that started the hotel and he may need support, so unfortunately he may have to grit his teeth while Lucifer does his "hell greatest dad". Don't worry, he will hold a grudge. When the reveal of Alastor's father happen, Lucifer will feel like putting a foot in his mouth due to his comment on Alastor and during his song.
What would the relationship be between Alastor and the hotel residents when the reveal happen?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Got a few asks about this, so I figured I'd combine 'em. I'll prolly won't address each and every point in these asks since I'm answering several at once.
Okay, so, to be honest, my opinion on roleswap AUs is kind of mixed. I think they can be a lot of fun, but I don't really like them when it's just swapping the character's aesthetics and narrative roles for no apparent reason. For a roleswap to be interesting to me, it has to highlight some underexplored aspect of a character, or some similarity between the swapped characters that isn't normally apparent. And I prefer there to be some in-universe reason why the roles are swapped, rather than it being just random.
One example I particularly like is a swap between Angel Dust and Vaggie, where Valentino was the one who came across Vaggie half-dead in the alley. In this universe where Angel Dust never signed a contract with Valentino but Vaggie did, Angel Dust stayed in his family's web of crime until he eventually joined the hotel. Even though each character ended up in one another's role, they still acted like themselves. Angel Dust was still Angel Dust, just with his mob connections more apparent and with the freedom to do things he couldn't while on Valentino's leash. And Vaggie was still very much the tough-as-nails former exorcist who, like the original Angel Dust, is the type to try to shoulder her burdens alone and reject outside help out of a sense of self-loathing.
I'm not as fond of most swaps between Charlie and Alastor because they usually end up feeling like wholly different characters to me. But in the comic I reblogged, what really sold it for me was Charlie's line about Alastor being an addict. I think it's fascinating if you view Alastor's need to kill as being similar to Husk's predisposition towards gambling, or Angel Dust's addiction to drugs and sex. For a character who routinely goes out of his way to be something Other Than Human, this is weirdly humanizing. Additionally, swapped Alastor's expression when Charlie calls him an addict suggests that she's right, and that the violent murderer we know in canon isn't entirely gone from this character. And if that's the case, then it's fair to assume the reverse is also true and the sweet, idealistic Charlie is somewhere under swapped Charlie's manic smile. This makes me want to follow their story, see what brought them to this point and where they'll go from here.
My biggest roadblock in setting up a swap AU of the Devil's Bastard AU - besides getting a bit frantic with sub-AUs already - is figuring out under what circumstances Alastor would open the Hazbin Hotel and Charlie would not. I would probably start with circumstances similar to the Raised Together AU, in which Lucifer found out about Nicaise getting pregnant with his son right away. But when Nicaise was murdered, instead of getting Alastor first, Lucifer went straight to Nicaise's killer to confront him. Unfortunately for the man's health, he was a drunkard and after what he did to Nicaise he heavily indulged. So when Lucifer appeared in front of him in all of his hellish, angelic glory, the man broke down in nearly incomprehensible babbling, and as he was begging for forgiveness for what he did to the woman and the boy, he inadvertently confessed to killing Alastor as well. All while Alastor was sleeping in the shed.
Lucifer slaughtered the man right then and there. What was left of his corpse didn't even look human by the time Lucifer was done with him. Then, heartbroken, Lucifer returned to Hell for good. In the aftermath he became even more fiercely protective of Charlie, not even letting her leave their family home without him or Lilith present. And this added yet more friction to his and Lilith's strained relationship. Sadly, Charlie's dreams hit their first major roadblock before she'd even gotten them off the ground.
But obviously Alastor wasn't dead. He didn't have an easy time of things after his kidnapper's death, since he wasn't able to weasel his way into that man's grace, but he was very much inspired by the event. He would still go on to become a serial killer, seeing it as the only way to fix what was wrong with the fucked up world he lived in. Plus, it was really really fun.
When he died and went on his Overlord murdering spree, he drew the attention of Lilith who immediately clocked there was something different about this sinner. Between what Lucifer had told her - at her discretion - about his child and human friend, the unnatural amount of power, and Alastor's name, she put two and two together almost instantly. She decides to keep a close eye on this particular sinner. With Lucifer more withdrawn than ever and keeping Charlie in isolation with him, it wasn't hard for her to keep his presence in Hell a secret. It was just a matter of figuring out what to do with this information.
Arrogant as he is, the day eventually comes when Alastor gets in over his head. Maybe he fared worse in the fight against Vox and Valentino than even they realized, maybe he got caught in the middle of an extermination. Whatever the case, Lilith swooped in and offered a deal; his life for his soul. And Alastor was in no position to say no.
With Alastor on her leash, Lilith decides on what to do with him. She's going to make her daughter's dream come true. Although Charlie hasn't been allowed to go out and interact with sinners regularly in decades, she still harbors hopes of saving them from exterminations. Something which Lilith is aligned in, though their methods are slightly different. And with her growing frustration towards Lucifer, wouldn't it be just beautiful if one of his very own detested sinners were to prove him wrong? Hence why she doesn't tell Lucifer that his son made his way to Hell after all. Of course, Alastor doesn't believe in redemption and wouldn't go along with this willingly, so Lilith gives him some motivation. If he can get one - just a single soul - into Heaven, she will return his soul to him. All he needs to do is prove it's possible.
As far as Alastor's concerned, she just gave him an impossible task as a means of taunting him. In his mind, she's basically told him, "You're mine forever." But, this is the only path available to him right now, so he sets to it.
The first Charlie ever learns of Alastor's existence is the broadcasts of his victims' screams. So she instantly recognizes the voice on the radio advertising a project aimed at doing no less than exactly what she's always dreamed of! Is it possible? Did one of the most bloodthirsty, ruthless, and dangerous Overlords decide to walk the path of redemption himself?
...Maybe. Charlie isn't naive enough not to suspect some ulterior motives from the Radio Demon. But she hopes. And it's that hope that fuels her to once again approach Lucifer and beg him to let her go out and help their people. Lucifer refuses to listen. He shuts her down, not willing to entertain the notion of a sinner fighting for redemption for even a moment. There's no point in having faith in them. Charlie leaves dejected.
Later that night, as she's once again rereading the story of how her parents met, the Radio Demon's voice rattling in her head, she decides she's had enough. Why did she ever bother with asking? Her parents are the original rebels! She grabs her cell phone, a few wads of cash, and - when they notice her leaving and don't try to stop her - Razzle and Dazzle, and disappears into the night.
Needless to say, Alastor is very, very confused when this mysterious Hellborn shows up on his doorstep, not wanting to seek redemption or protection from the exterminations, but declaring her intent to help. He's instantly suspicious, and it hits Charlie that Alastor won't believe any genuine offers of help. So she does the first thing she can think of; she acts shady. Her acting is a little awkward and stilted, but Alastor more readily believes that she's there to watch him make a fool of himself. Besides, as powerful as he is, the funding she offers will go a long way towards fixing up the facility. So the hotel gains a mysterious new facility manager with a hidden agenda in the form of the Princess of Hell. Not that she's telling anyone who she really is.
Eventually Charlie's sure that Lucifer will come looking for her, so she has to work fast to make this thing work before he figures out where she is.
She just doesn't know the clusterfuck that's awaiting her when that day finally comes.

for a minute in the sunlight I
i reached 400 followers today which is insane so have part one of a fic i’ve been working on. once i’m not half asleep i’ll post it to ao3 as well, which will be linked at the end of this note. this is an au i’ve been floating around in my head for a while now, which basically is my rendition of a meet cute ft. Famous!Steve x Normal(ish)!Eddie. except, eddie is a cosplayer, the character that steve voice acts for is coincidentally the character that eddie cosplays as, but that’s later. eddie has no idea that steve is the VA tho. ALSO eddie runs a booth in artist alley with chrissy! anyway, here is part one lol.

—part I: 1.7k words—
“Eddie Munson! You better be on your way!” Chrissy’s voice greeted him as Eddie pressed the ‘accept call’ button and pulled the phone up to his ear. He looked around his hotel room and grimaced.
“I am! I swear I am! I’m gonna get us coffee, though,” he said, grabbing his backpack filled with his convention supplies. He looked around the room, almost ‘aha’-ing out loud before grabbing the ‘artist’ lanyard he had gotten the night before as well as the hotel keycard.
“Good! If you’re not here before the booth opens I swear to god I’ll cut your hair!” She threatened him, causing Eddie to laugh.
“Relax! I’m almost to the cafe,” he lied, dashing out the door and shutting it quietly behind him to not alert the girl on the other end of the phone.
“You’re supposed to be here, y’know, at the convention, to be at your booth, to sell your art!” She snapped at him, sounding more amused than actually upset.
“I’ll be there soon! With coffee!” Eddie repeated, before hanging up just as the elevator dinged at him to indicate its arrival. He stepped onto the elevator, smiling stiffly at the stranger already occupying it. She glanced at him, but ultimately ignored his existence, which was just fine in his opinion.
Okay, so. Eddie knew Chrissy was right to be mad at him—he was meant to be at the venue around 9, and it was nearing 10, and the convention starts at 10:30, so really he had about 45 mins to get there, which was more than enough time to get there. But he was supposed to be there at 9, so he could be set up by 10, for opening at 10:30. He was forever grateful that Chrissy was a morning person and willing to put up with his bullshit.
They had known each other for years, growing up in the same small middle-of-nowhere town as each other. She had been cheer captain while he was forever bullied by the other jocks, but she had come to him one day and decided that he was going to be her best friend. Well, more like, Eddie decided that he wasn’t going to sell some girl hard drugs and instead talked to her.
The rest was history, as they say.
Eddie helped her get away from Jason, her abusive boyfriend, and Chrissy helped him get away from Hawkins. She was also the primary reason he was able to do art and cosplay as a full time gig, as she was able to market and manage his chaos better than he ever could. What had started out as a hobby that Eddie took on to express his frustration with the world had turned into his career, thanks to Chrissy. He had started out by posting his art onto instagram, tiktok, and tumblr, just wanting to show off the work he did for some fandoms he was active in.
Chrissy was also the one to convince him to try to sell his art. To his surprise, fans and non-fans alike ate his work up and bought the fuck out of it. Chrissy also helped him with starting to do conventions as a job rather than as an attendee — she helped him put together his portfolio and designs and ideas into something cohesive that could be set up in a booth in the artist alley of whatever conventions they could get into.
All of that is to say, Eddie owed a lot to Chrissy for his current life. One thing that Eddie couldn’t get figured out was time management. He was able to do most other things with Chrissy, like managing his online presence, restocking his prints when he was low, managing the booth when they were at a con. However, he could never seem to get anywhere on time the first go around. The first day of cons, without fail, led to Eddie arriving a few minutes before the booth opened to the rest of the con.
Which is why Eddie was running late, again.
Chrissy should know better than to expect him on time, but he also figured maybe he could work harder at being on time. Not that he didn’t try, he set an abundance of alarms every time, but one thing or another caused him to be late. This time it was the fact his alarm was set for 7:30 in the evening, instead of morning. He had woken up, checked his phone, saw it was 8:37 and shot up like a rocket to get his shit together. He was meant to do some sort of look today, but had decided against it so that way he wasn’t completely behind. So he just did a basic look — unfortunately that still took him nearly an hour. He didn’t even do make up, which to be fair, he never did on the first days of conventions.
Eddie was so caught up in his thoughts, rushing towards the cafe he knew was near the convention center, that he crashed right into someone leaving said cafe. He swore loudly, stumbling back with wide eyes.
“I’m so sorry, I should’ve been paying more attention, oh my god,” Eddie rushed out, staring at the spilt coffee on the ground. There were two to-go cups laying there, making Eddie feel even worse because this person wasn’t just getting coffee for themselves. He looked up to apologize again, except the words died in his throat.
Was it cliché to say it was love at first sight?
The man looked less angry and more just sad at the coffee that was spilled at their feet, which, to be fair, Eddie felt really bad about.
The man looked up and caught Eddie’s eyes and Eddie was gone. He had honey colored hair, eyes made of milk chocolate, freckles dotted his cheeks, and Eddie could see moles on his neck and expected him to be covered in them. He smiled apprehensively at Eddie, as if expecting a sort of reaction to seeing him, but Eddie was distracted by his jawline. He felt heat crawling up his neck, and took a deep breath to steady himself.
“I’m more than happy to buy you new coffee, I’m so sorry,” Eddie apologized again, eyes wide.
“No— it’s okay,” the man responded and Eddie was floored because was there anything about this man that wasn’t completely perfect? Eddie knew he likely had heart eyes but he couldn’t help it, the stranger was just gorgeous.
“I insist! I ran into you, caused you to spill not one but two coffees! Let me buy you replacements at least,” Eddie pressed earnestly, smiling brightly, trying to put on his charm which he hadn’t used in years. It seemed to work, because the stranger's cheeks tinted pink as he nodded shyly. “Great! I’m Eddie,” he said, reaching out to offer his hand to shake, before changing his mind immediately and moving to grab the door. “After you, sweetheart.”
“Steve,” the stranger—Steve—responded, smiling timidly as he ducked back into the cafe. Eddie followed, letting his gaze drop for a moment to take a peek at his ass, which Eddie was dismayed to also find perfect. This is simultaneously the best and worst day of Eddie’s life.
“Nice to meet you,” Eddie said as they came to a stop at the end of the line. “What are you in Chicago for?” He asked, cocking his head to the side.
Steve seemed to relax at the question, smiling softly as he answered. “Well, officially, I’m here to go to a convention, but unofficially I’m here to visit a friend I don’t get to see as often as I want.”
Eddie lit up, eyes bright with excitement. “Oh, no way? I’m going to a con too! I run a booth in artist alley! Maybe we’ll see each other?” He said, grinning at Steve. The man smiled back, eyebrows furrowed as he took in the excited man beside him.
“Yeah, maybe,” he agreed, raising his eyebrows.
“Look for a booth called CorrodedCoffin Art, and that’ll be mine! If I’m not there, Chrissy will be, so you can just ask her where I am,” Eddie said, enthusiastically. The idea that he could see this man again was already making him vibrate with excitement.
“I’ll look for you,” Steve said earnestly, smiling crookedly. “I have a lot to do this weekend, but hopefully I can stop by and see you.” Eddie bobbed his head, pretty much bouncing in place.
“Cool! Oh! It’s our turn. You can order first,” the metalhead said, gesturing in front of him. Steve smiled at him before turning to the barista.
“Back so soon?” She asked, raising her eyebrows.
Steve laughed, glancing at the man next to him. “Yeah, this guy ran into me and spilled both of my drinks,” he said, leering teasingly at Eddie, who felt his cheeks heat.
“I said sorry! And I’m buying you new drinks to make up for it,” Eddie defended, crossing his arms and pouting. Steve snorted softly, before returning his attention to the barista. He ordered his two drinks before moving to the side to let Eddie order.
“One large iced caramel mocha, and one extra large iced white chocolate mocha, please,” he ordered with a hum. He handed over his card, barely disguising a wince as she read off the total to him.
“Extra large, huh?” Steve asked, raising his eyebrows. Eddie laughed, shrugging helplessly.
“I was supposed to be at the convention center an hour ago,” he admitted, smiling, “the extra large is for Chrissy to make up for it.” He paused for a minute, looking Steve up and down and decided ‘fuck it’. “Can’t say I regret being late, though,” he said, winking at the man. Eddie delighted in watching Steve’s cheeks turn pink and itched to know how far down his body the flush spread.
“Well, I for one am glad you were running late,” Steve said, causing Eddie to grab a piece of his hair and hide a grin behind it. He watched as Steve’s gaze went down and then back up to meet his eyes.
Sooner than either man hoped, their orders were fulfilled. Eddie checked the time absentmindedly and cursed, seeing it was nearing 10:15. He reached into his bag and grabbed a sharpie, grinning as he wrote down his number onto a napkin.
“I am running late, but text me, maybe?” He asked, grinning shyly at the man as he tucked the napkin into his front pocket. He winked at him one more time before grabbing his drinks and dashing out the door. Chrissy would forgive him, probably.

Marked for Carnage - Chapter 3 (Juice Ortiz x OC Fic)
Tumblr media
Marked for Carnage Masterlist
A/N: First and foremost this is 18+ minors DNI. Getting out chapter 3 as quickly as I can! This is a bit of a filler chapter and I apologise at how little Juice x Ronnie scenes I've been writing. This is for sure a slow burn and I want to really establish Ronnie as a character and her history with this world. I've got plans on how I'm going to get her and Juice closer and interacting more but it's taking longer than I anticipated so sorry for that but I promise (and hope) that it will be worth it. Enjoy!
Word Count: 2971 words
Ronnie smiled as she watched her niece and nephew take off towards the carnival rides. She had the day off and had called Donna, asking if she wanted to take the kids out to Fun Town. Donna had been unconvinced at first but Ronnie had talked her into it. Their family had been going through some tough times - the kids could use some fun. Donna needed to get out of the house too. The kids spotted the Cha Cha ride, waving their mom and aunt over. "Mom! Mom can we pleeeeaaaaassseee go on this one?" Kenny asked, clasping his hands under his chin. Donna ran her hand over her sons hair. "We can only do one ride and a snack so, you guys better choose carefully," she replied. The kids looked at each other, weighing up their moms words.
"Here," Ronnie dug into the back pocket of her jeans, pulling out a $20 note. She handed it to Ellie. "Go nuts." The kids smiled at each other and took off towards the token booth. Donna shook her head, crossing her arms. "What?" Ronnie asked. "You can't win them over with money," Donna sniffed. Ronnie huffed, shrugging in frustration. "I just want the kids to have a fun day. I don't mind helping out with that." Donna looked her up and down. "Really Donna?" she probed. "I'm not like that. It's $20, I'm not buying them a car." Donna sighed. "Seriously," Ronnie continued. "I don't care about helping out, especially for the kids." Donna narrowed her eyes. "Did Opie say something to you?"
Ronnie shook her head, pushing her hands into her back pockets. "Not exactly," she shrugged. "Piney.." Donna said exasperatedly. "He's just worried about you guys," Ronnie explained. "We don't need hand outs," Donna snapped. Ronnie raised an eyebrow, frowning. "Jesus Christ Donna, it was $20! For the kids to have fun! I can't do this right now." She walked away from her sister-in-law before she said or did something she would regret. Walking towards sideshow alley, eyeing out the games that were set up, she stopped when she spotted a familiar mohawk and tattooed head. Strolling up next to Juice where he stood at the shooting gallery she lightly bumped her hip against his. "Hey Juice," she smiled at him.
Juice grinned as Ronnie looked up at him. "Hey Ronnie," he smirked. He ran his eyes over her, appreciating her tight jeans hugging her ample hips. The black tank top she wore clung to her generous chest and showed off the ink on her arm. It was almost like a patchwork of different designs starting from her shoulder and finishing with an old school rose on the back of her hand. He had seen plenty of chicks with ink around the clubhouse but hers was different. And to think that she worked in a hospital. She just continued to pique his interest. "If you're finished cataloguing me," she interrupted his thoughts. "I didn't give you my number for no reason ya know," she crossed her arms under her boobs, making them push up towards him almost invitingly.
"Yeah I know," he scratched the back of his head, working overtime in an effort to not look down. "Been a little busy with the club. Sorry." Ronnie shrugged. "All good. I know what it's like." Juice cocked his head. "Oh yeah?" he asked. She just smiled and shrugged again. He turned to face her fully and, boldly, pushed the piece of hair framing her face behind her ear. He grinned as he watched her swallow, her face beginning to blush. "Don’t worry cutie, I'll be using it," he imparted. She rolled her eyes and pushed him back gently. "Cutie, huh?" she teased. He stood his ground. "What? Would you rather beautiful? Gorgeous? I can work with any of those," he retorted.
"Alright then, smooth," she laughed. "Why don’t you come by the clubhouse sometime? Next time we have a party. We can hangout," he asked. Ronnie nodded slowly, her mind working a mile a minute. She was still reeling from his flirting and now was trying to workout how to navigate his request. He had to know at some point that Opie was her brother and Piney was her father. She was afraid that it would make him run but… if this was just some fun, then maybe he wouldn't be phased. "Yeah for sure, that would be fun. But there's something you should know," she said. He smiled and narrowed his eyes. "Yeah? Like what?" "My.. My bro-" she was cut off when his phone began to ring. "Shit, sorry, one sec." He answered the phone and paced away before she could hear anything. Ending the call he walked back to her, placing a hand on her arm, sending goosebumps over her skin despite the humid weather. "I'm real sorry I gotta go, club stuff. I'll call you!" he began to walk away. "Yeah ok, cool." He turned around, walking backwards as he watched her. "See ya soon… beautiful." He winked and turned around, taking off in a jog. "Yep," Ronnie whispered to herself, her heart thundering. "See ya soon."
"What was that?" Donna asked from behind Ronnie, making her jump. "Jesus Christ," she muttered. "What was what?" Ronnie asked. "Getting in real close with the club, huh?" Donna motioned towards the direction that Juice had left. Ronnie rolled her eyes. "I'm already kind of as close to the club as I could be, don’t ya think?" she noted. Donna didn’t say anything.. "You really gonna give me shit for this?" Ronnie asked. "Didn't you leave Charming because of some dangerous guy?" Donna asked, almost scoffing. Ronnie laughed in irritation. "What the hell is your problem, Donna?" she murmured, stepping closer to her sister-in-law, her blood beginning to boil. "I don't know what Opie has said to make you dislike me so much but I'm trying here ok. You don't know shit about why I left Charming. And you sure as hell can't talk about getting "in close" with the club when you married into it yourself," she stepped into Donna's space, keeping her voice low but ensuring Donna knew just how much she had pissed her off.
"You gonna snitch on me Donna?" she asked, seething. "Gonna run back to Ope and try to get me in some sort of trouble because I was talking to somebody?" Donna swallowed, trying to keep her composure. Ronnie knew she could be intimidating. She had learned from the best. Afterall, Piney and Gemma had been the ones to raise her. She didn’t like to be like that, but Donna had been on her ass since she had arrived in Charming and she had had enough. "I'm trying to make a life for myself here. Connect with family. Make friends. So if you breath a word of this to my brother or my father, you'll find out just how close to the club I can be."
------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day, Juice sat at the corner table in the clubhouse, drumming his fingers against the base of his laptop. He was supposed to be searching the San Joaquin database for Clay in search of any Aryan sex offenders, but all he could think about was Ronnie. The more interactions he had with her, the more he wanted her. She was beautiful yes, and didn't shy away from his flirting, but he wanted more. Wanted to know what she felt like pressed up against him, how her lush, soft skin would feel as his hands explored, how her full lips would feel slanted over his. And what surprised him the most was that he wanted to actually talk to her. Wanted to know more about her, what made her laugh, what made her cry. What made her, her. He hadn’t felt like that about a girl in… well forever. Since he had joined the club, club shit had always come first, and women were an afterthought. A warm, wet place for him to slip into at the end of the night. Feelings got in the way. And back in high school in Queens well, girls hardly looked at him let alone gave him the time of day.
But despite how drawn he was to Ronnie, he could tell she was hiding something. He had seen how close she was to Gemma. They had embraced like family. And sure he could write that off as just a Charming connection. Lots of people knew the Teller's. Didn't mean she was involved in the club. She seemed close to enough to his age, so maybe she had gone to school with Jax. Maybe her and Jax had a history. But then he had run into her at the clubhouse. Late at night. She had told him she had been dropping someone off, and the only person there that night was Piney. So she must have a connection to him as well. But what was it? He pulled his phone out of his cut. He had her number. It wouldn’t be hard to use it to get her name. And if he had her name well then… then he could do some real digging. But something uneasy settled in his stomach. It felt… wrong. He felt as though that would be invading her privacy - even though he did it everyday for the club. He supposed she would tell him if she wanted to. Putting his phone back in his pocket, he returned to his search.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Ronnie stood at the nurses station, filling out paperwork. There had been a misprint on a time of death for one of the bodies in the morgue which meant she had to chase the ward doctors and kill more trees with the paperwork she had to reprint. Shuffling her documents she handed them over the nurse as someone stepped up to the desk beside her. "Can you pass these onto Doctor Reeves please. He just needs to resign the bottom." "Veronica?" the person beside her called. She turned to find Tara Knowles next to her. "Tara? Hey, wow," she and Tara embraced quickly. "I had no idea you were back in Charming," she said. Tara laughed and motioned toward Ronnie. "I could say the same about you." Ronnie smiled. "Yeah well, Piney was feeling sentimental after Ope got out. Managed to convince me to move back. What about you? I didn't think Charming would get to see you again." Tara smiled flatly and shrugged. "Got a good job offer," she said, not elaborating further. Ronnie frowned. Tara had been like an older sister at times to Ronnie in high school when she was with Jax. She spent time at her and Opies place when he and Jax would hang out and she would always spend some time with Ronnie, knowing how much she wanted to be included. Ronnie felt like there was more to Tara's story than she was letting on but she didn’t push.
"Fair enough. Does Jax know you're back?" Ronnie questioned. "Yeah," Tara said. "Not sure if you know, but his son is in the NICU. I operated on him." Ronnie's mouth opened in surprise. Before she could reply Gemma walked into the room, smiling when she spotted Ronnie. "Hey Ron," she kissed her on the cheek. "Hey Gem," Ronnie replied. "Wendy's out of detox," Tara said to Gemma. "Thought you'd want to know. Just in case you wanted to bring her flowers or something." Gemma looked Tara up and down before turning on her heel and walking down the hallway. "What was that about?" Ronnie asked. "I forgot how much you were always in Gemma's pocket," Tara said, turning to face her. "Seems like not much has changed." Ronnie raised an eyebrow at Tara's sudden coldness. "Excuse me?" she asked. "I'd just be careful with who you get close to again, now that you're back," Tara said before she stalked off. "What is everyone's problem?" Ronnie muttered to herself before heading back to the morgue.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, Ronnie stepped out of her front door, heading to her car to drive to work. She slowed her steps when she spotted Opie sitting on his bike next to her car. She eyed the cut he was wearing. She hadn’t seen it on him since she had been back, knowing that he had told Donna he was earning straight and distancing them from the club. "Hey Harry," she tormented him. "Don’t call me that," he said, not an ounce of humour in his voice. "Oh god not you too," she sighed. "Heard you got up in Donna's face the other day," Opie said. Ronnie huffed and smiled coldly. "You gotta be kiddin' me," she murmured. "She's been riding my ass the minute I showed up here Ope. What did you say to make her hate me so much?" Opie shook his head. "We don’t need any charity," Opie stated. "And I don't need you getting involved with the club. Making shit messy." Ronnie folded her arms, eyebrows raising in disbelief. "I don't believe it," she muttered. "What did she tell you?" "That dad told you we're having money issues, and you came along, handing money out to the kids like some kind of walking ATM. What do you think that makes us look like to Ellie and Kenny?" he barked.
"It was $20! We were at a carnival, Opie! I don’t think the kids gave a shit about anything except having fun." Ronnie's patience was wearing thin. She felt like she was being attacked from all angles this past week. "And what's this shit about being involved with the club? I kind of don’t have a choice about that, if you haven't noticed," she motioned between the two of them. "I'm not talking about me and dad," he explained. "I saw you talking to one of the guys at the garage. Donna said she saw you with him at Fun Town too." "What?" she hesitated. "Juice?" Opie's eyes flashed when she said his name. "The last time I checked, talking to someone wasn't a crime," she said. "Talking can lead to other shit. You get involved with a guy in the club, you make shit awkward for me and Pops when it all blows up in your face like it always does," he threw his cigarette to the ground, stomping it out before he swung his leg over his bike and put his helmet on. "You are unbelievable," she spat. "If you even think about going to Juice, sporting some scary big brother act, I will make you regret it. I'm 28, Opie. You can't tell me who to hang out with anymore," she slammed her car door. Huffing, she turned the keys and wound her window down. "By the way, does Donna know you're wearing that cut?" she asked. Opie said nothing. Just turned on his bike and pulled away.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Ronnie was fuming. If it wasn't for Piney she would have packed her shit and been out of Charming before noon. But she couldn’t leave her dad. They had been getting so much closer, and she fretted about how much time she had left with him. So, she turned the radio up and began her drive to work. When she hit the main drag she smiled when she spotted a familiar face, before descending into laughter at the state of him. Juice was ambling along the sidewalk, wearing only his boots and an adult sized diaper. Ronnie pulled up long the curb and wolf whistled out the window at him. "Well, well, well, isn’t this a treat," she laughed. Juice turned, smiling when his eyes landed on her. He stood there awkwardly, but she could tell he was trying to play it cool. Ronnie couldn’t help letting her eyes raked over the exposed skin of his torso and arms. He fairly well toned, and was a site for sore eyes after her shitty run in with Opie. "See something you like, Ronnie?" he asked, placing his hand on his hip. She laughed, and motioned her head towards the passenger door. "You need a ride?" she asked. He nodded and got in the car. "Where you headed?" she asked. "Just the clubhouse," Juice replied, running his hands over the blood on his chest.
"What happened there?" Veronica questioned. Juice smiled sheepishly. "Staples," he said. "Friendly fire, huh?" Ronnie laughed. Juice joined in, rubbing a hand along his jaw. "Something like that. So, you a doctor at St Thomas?" he asked, pointing at her scrubs. "I've never seen anyone wear black ones before. Only blue and the nurses wear them colourful ones," he said curiously. "I'm an assistant medical examiner," she explained. "So… a doctor?" Juice mused. "Not really… I'm kind of like an assistant coroner. I didn't do the full ride at college so I work as an assistant rather than an actual ME," Ronnie revealed as she pulled into the TM lot. "So you like, pickup dead bodies and stuff?" "Yeah," she shrugged. "Collect them, and help autopsy them. Determine cause of death and stuff like that for the courts." "Cool," Juice said as he opened his car door. Ronnie shrugged. "Sometimes, but for the most part its kind of… sad. And a lot of paperwork." Juice frowned at her admission. Trying to divert the mood, he closed his door and leaned into the open window. "I'll call you tonight?" Ronnie smiled, nodding. "That would be nice. See you later, Juice." He waved. "Bye Ronnie." Ronnie watched him walk towards the clubhouse before turning to where she knew her brother was sitting and had been watching them. She raised a hand, wiggling her fingers in a sarcastic wave before she reversed and pulled out of the lot. Like hell she would let Opie get in the way of her fun.

For your ask meme: thoughts on kaeya, rosaria -w-?
Tumblr media
@tempests-bards-and-birds
(ask meme)
The Angel's share gang minus Venti... I love them...
Warning for discussion of a leaked playable character (technically already namedropped in-game, but still) in Rosaria's section.
Rosaria
What I think of her: god, everything about her is so hilarious on the surface but so tragic when you dig deeper.
She's a skimpily-dressed nun who skives off work, drinks and smokes at any opportunity, and is secretly an assassin handling the nastiest parts of Mondstadt's defense. Imagine being some foreign agent aiming to sabotage Mondstadt, thinking you're hot shit and wondering why the knights have been so gullible and welcoming, only for a sister of the goddamn church to corner you in an alley and end you. That's amazing.
Her past though... jesus christ. I really hope she'll learn to let herself live in the light a little.
Both aspects of her really enhance Mondstadt's atmosphere as a whole for me. They embody the city's (and archon)'s way of handling things: endlessly kind and welcoming and willing to forgive until someone passes a certain threshold of danger towards their people, at which point they reveal they're far, far more dangerous and capable than they look on the surface.
Romantic ships: not into any, though I could see Rosaria/Diluc being a thing. She's totally slept with Kaeya as well. Probably repeatedly.
Non-romantic ships: Rosaria + everyone in Mondstadt loving and appreciating her. Rosaria + that cat she absolutely should have adopted. Her + Kaeya + Venti as the Angel's Share gang driving Diluc up the wall never stops being entertaining, nor does any interaction between her and other members of the church.
Her + Venti specifically is especially amazing. She can't even get his name right. He must be struggling not to break down laughing every other conversation he has with her, I s2g. A reveal would be glorious. More seriously, I think he has a lot of blood on his hands himself and it would be fascinating to see how they would interact and how her views of herself might change if they were more open with each other.
I'm excited to see what relationship Dahlia has with her, too, since looking at his design there's no way he isn't connected to her somehow.
Unpopular opinion: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ no clue
Something I wish would happen: mainly the angel's share crew actually being open and genuine with each other. And I hope she gets involved in whatever plot happens when Dahlia is released.
Kaeya
How I feel about him: more unhealthy obsession by the day. Do I even need to spell out why? He's one of genshin's most interesting characters, imo.
How the hell does he function with stress and paranoia eating away at him day after day? Torn between his past that could come back to haunt him at any point and the city that's actually treated him with kindness? Carrying scars on his face that are a permanent reminder that that kindness may be conditional? Growing up in a world that worships gods he knows are complicit in atrocities without being able to talk about it? Meeting the god of his city, becoming drinking buddies with him and constantly dancing around the elephant in the room, probably wondering when said god will stop pretending everything's fine and throw him off Starsnatch Cliff?
Man.
Romantic ships: Kaeven kaeven kaeven. I will convert more people besides us to see the light of this celestia-forsaken ship. Ships between characters that are supposed to be opposed but could have deep solidarity over shared experiences if they actually talked to each other kill me.
Non-romantic ships: Kaeya x everyone in Mond loving and appreciating him too. I'll take platonic kaeven too, any interaction between them is gold. Do I even need to mention ragbros or does that go without saying? I'd love to see Kaeya + Jean post a Kaeya's backstory reveal too, and I need more Kaeya taking care of Klee in my life.
As I said in the Dain response, I'd love to see those two get closer as well.
Unpopular opinion: genuinely not sure. 'Kaeven is really underrated'? I don't see opposition to that though, it's just rare.
Something I wish would happen: my fingers are crossed so hard that they do what they've set up for him justice, having a dramatic backstory reveal for him in a way that forces him to actively choose a side. Also for him to become a 5* with a better kit but that's never happening.

if you wanna hear about ocs ,,,, this is my oc evelyn! this is literally the only photo i have of her because i keep forgetting to draw her design fully lmao 😭
but! much like vaggie, she’s a fallen exorcist - she was originally fine with being an exorcist because she believed she finally had something that showed she had skill
then as the exterminations went by she slowly started to realise how messed up the whole thing was, causing her to start being a lil shit like 24/7 to adam ,,,, she tried to argue about the exterminations but the moment she questioned it she was kinda doomed to fall
when she falls she’s immediately met by Angel who just so happened to be passing by the alley she landed in lmao! i currently don’t have much more than that for her story yet 😭
Tumblr media
joke of this drawing is just when people are telling her to take the exterminations seriously but she doesn’t lol
HNNNNNNG I love any character who gives Adam trouble- AND SHE'S BEAUTIFUL???
Characters who are initially resolute and believe in their cause only to slowly doubt themselves until they're disgusted by it? YES!!
Tumblr media
I also just picture her landing right on top of Angel and fucking SQUISHING HIM

Alright, been thinking about this for the last four - five hours, and I figure Tumblr would be a great place to put my thoughts out there.
I've got an idea for my first Worm fanfiction. Combine Taylor Hebert, maybe a week or two after her release from the mental health ward, with an OC of mine from my time playing a Neverwinter Nights persistent world server; a drow Cleric of Lolth, freshly transformed into a Drider (a sort've cursed half drow, half spider centaur). I've probably talked about this a few times in either the Gaylor or Cauldron discord. I was mostly hoping to get an opinion from my followers and mutuals here on the OC in question, since Taylor Hebert is already a well known quantity.
Her name is Illiam'ala. I apologize to anyone using screen readers. I'm not sure what to tell you all about her; I don't want to reveal identifying information about the other characters and players I interacted with on the server, without their permission. I can definitely say that she's a drow's drow; cold, calculating, cruel. Paranoia rules her everyday life and the concerns of status, power and her personal security are always on her mind. I don't really intend to retell her story on the server, I considered it concluded when I wrapped up the character and deleted her.
But here she is, occupying space in my mind. Making comments on Taylor's actions. Both of them joining eachother in my head to talk about fanfiction I'm reading. How situations would've gone down different if they were there, together. If they're going to sit in my mind, I'm going to charge rent, I've decided.
So here's the new story for poor Illiam'ala. The original end of her story had her return to Menzoberranzan, and upon her return, she would be judged for her actions and accomplishments. In one timeline, she was received warmly (as warmly as a drow can be received by her goddess and her matron) and congratulated for what she had done, and the Temple she left behind written off as a lost cause.
In this timeline, she is punished. Personally, by Lolth. Dispatched to Earth Bet, to fulfill dark designs. Dropped infront of Taylor Hebert, who will serve as her Omen. I haven't yet decided what Taylor does, or what her rationalizations are here, but something about the situation causes her to take care of Illiam until she can return her traumatized mind to something resembling normalcy.
I'm not really sure where to start the story. Do I start in the alley where Taylor found her? Or maybe three months in? The day of the juice, the Lung fight, but everything's slightly off during the intro, right up until Illiam'ala's reveal (kinda spoiling it here now tho), when it's suddenly made clear that Taylor's been able to stick out this long because Illiam's been worming her way into Taylor's mind, reinforcing her with a helpful hand, forging magical equipment to augment her in the field, preparing for her debut. Everything slightly shifted because Illiam's given Taylor something as an example.
I'm sort've rambling here. In short, I want to introduce something that I don't think I've ever read in my time reading Wormfic or literature in general; a toxic mentorship between a girl and a much older woman (she's somewhere in her fourth century of life). Taylor slowly getting an idea of what Illiam'ala's world was like and Illiam'ala getting an idea of what the modern day - and what Earth Bet - is like. Culture shock. Taylor's hope for the future versus Illiam'ala's dark purpose, both of them thinking about their status and their worth in society, from massively different perspectives and values. I think I have to do some reading! About cults and how they hold people, except with actual miracles, tempered a little by the fact that every traumatized individual in Earth Bet can do something similar, at least until you start returning people from the dead. Reading about toxic relationships. I think I can pull off the manipulative rationalization. I'll need to pack a whole lot of life experience into a fictional character. She'll have to be smarter than me, wiser than me - and with such a long lifespan - probably more traumatized and subsequently compartmentalized than I'd ever be, stretched over twenty times my own lifetime.
I guess I'm asking if you'd all be interested in that? Everything's very much a work in progress. I don't know if I'll have anything ready for a chapter one yet, but I've got a rough plotline ready, all the way past Leviathan. Part of why I love reading character analysis posts here is that lately I've been going "Huh, how'd Illiam'ala figure that out." or "How could she use this knowledge" or "What would she do? What spells would she cast?"
I'll finish this post off with saying that I've never played DND ever, not any of the editions. I may read up on how things are done in pen and paper, but I don't see myself playing things strictly by the rules as written or intended. She was a max level cleric on the server, so it stands to reason she'd be a powerful cleric in the text too. I've been doing some reading on cleric spell lists and spell components and holy symbols, and looking for things to include as story beats and plot points. Resources, requirements, weakness to include; if someone were to pilfer her holy symbol, she'd lose a lot of capability if she didn't have a component pouch. A lot of materials that would be easy to find in Faerun won't be available in Earth Bet, and if they are, they'd likely be under different names. Sorry for the long post.

I have played just a bit of Astral Chain, and GOD does that game made my 'Hunter Patty with demon summons' thoughts come back with a force.
That game has basically the perfect setup/structure to insert her in and make Patty a formidable opponent, while also keeping her, you know, grounded and human. So I propose a shameless ripoff of gameplay mechanics and themes for her in a DMC-universe.
(these rambles are sponsored by my maybe two hours playtime of Astral Chain)
A quick intro about Astral Chain - it's a Platinum game that is set in a sci-fi universe which basically demons invade. Humans set up a special forces division that mixes some captured via Chains demons with human material, and the result are Legions that get paired with an operative and they work together.
Important note here is that the chained demons are exactly that - chained, and they aren't really happy with their predicament, so they try to escape if they aren't controlled properly. That said, they aren't mindless either, and can operate on their own, but are normally tightly ordered around and kept on a strong leash.
I think this setup in itself is very interesting - the humans are trying to fight fire with fire, while fully aware said flame might turn on them if used too freely.
Another thing I'd like to highlight is feel of combat in Astral Chain. The characters fight demons with guns and batons, which, well, doesn't exactly do much damage. The main damage dealer in this equation is, of course, the Legion under the human command.
You can do the normal button-mashy 'attack unless dodge then attack again', but really, in this game it feels like it pays to play Smarter, not Harder. The chain that binds demons is very physical, and with proper Legion positioning you can trip charging enemies or bind them in place for a time. This translates to me that the key is getting the upper hand in a fight, and no 'power level' or some other imaginary number will truly decide the outcome.
Last thing - the main character of the game is a sort of police officer, and they get a lot of requests to help civilians around. Even while on a big demon hunt, the priority for them is protecting humans, and getting to the big bad only after they are secure.
Why I think all of this works Perfectly Well for Patty:
The main premise of 'fighting fire with fire' is something the Order demonstrated quite well in DMC. They went so far in their studies as to develop stable technology based on demonic, and relatively safe enough for human use!
That said, Patty is no martial fighter. She is a human, and she physically cannot compete with demons, even easier ones. She needs as edge in a fight - this is where the idea of playing Smarter comes in.
I have been advocating for Patty getting a summons-based combat style, based of V(ergil) in dmc5, for a while now. I'll keep the design stuff under wraps, but I think that turning the demonic against demons seems very much up Patty's alley. Especially given her sourceress heritage, which, to be fair, we have no idea if it does anything, but hey, why not an ability to bind some demons to herself right? Or well, maybe some new demon-based tech helps her do that, but the technicalities don't really matter.
Plus, DMC demons already Do have a 'binding' ritual of sorts - the Devil Arms. Humans certainly can't wield those, so that's out of the question, but a simpler demon? Bound for a time even maybe? Not a bad substitute.
So, Patty gets herself a gun for long range, something close-range (rapier) for self-defence, and acquires a demon binded for herself.
Another idea I read a few times was Patty trying to get herself a position...close to the demon-hunting, but not the task itself, as she's not suited for continuous fighting. Something more about helping people, organising them and other supportive roles for when invasions happen.
Needless to say, I think that after how Dante disappeared on her, Patty would want to keep a Very Close ear to the ground about demons. She wouldn't be able to just stand aside either, so I think she'd volunteer to help there and then keep it up.
Having an ability to Bind demons would be a valuable ability in this situation, as her main focus would be on helping and defending civilians, instead of mowing down hordes on her own.
This can be up for debate, but I think the idea of demon binding being situational is more useful than getting a single demon bound permanently. Permanent binding would probably be harder to keep up, mostly in terms of mental/magical(?) effort, and I don't think Patty really needs that ability on all times. A spontaneous binding of a single demon out of the attack group though? More sudden, adaptable and, depending on the power of the demon chosen for binding - more cost-efficient, or at least you save up on the cost outside of fighting.
Another option is a 'pokemon' situation, when the binding requires energy only for the initial bind, but the upkeep is cost-free. So, she needs to change demons only when the bound one is too weak to fight anymore. Though I don't think that fits the other dmc demons rules, and the situational bind situation is better.
tldr Astral Chain gave me the perfect vision of Hunter-Patty, which is pretty much a ripoff of abilities from that game. It fits Patty very very well in my opinion though
So yeah, Astral Chain basically gave me a fully-realised Hunter-Patty fantasy, and I really love this mix of ideas for her. The game itself is also very fun, and I highly recommend everyone tries it out, if you can (curse you nintendo for holding it hostage). Thank you for reading this ramble)

Anon roll call? I’ve never tagged myself with a name but I’ve sent quite a few anons to ramble about character design and story structure and the like!
Guess you can call me feather anon or 🪶! I’m in my early twenties and first discovered Viv through her Die Young video. I loosely followed her after that, I really liked watching her speed paints and I’d watch some of the other short animations she’d post. I really enjoyed her art style for how expressive and colorful it was- I know we all like to poke fun at the whole “sparkle dog design” thing but I think if Viv continued to strive for improvement then her art really could have been something fun, colorful, and eye catching! My brain always connected it to those Lisa Frank books and stickers-
I’m an artist and a writer, though it’s hard to find the time to engage with them as much as I want to. I love storytelling and analyzing media- I think it’s fun to critique things and it helps me develop my own skills as a storyteller. I like to try and find the positives in media and focus on the things I like, but it is fun (and healthy!) to be a little hater sometimes.
I really did enjoy the concept of Hazbin Hotel presented by the pilot- it was clearly a labor of love- and I really did enjoy the first season of Helluva before Viv decided to start retconning and dropping all the previous set up that drew people to the show in the first place.
I have my own stories I would love to develop sometime in the future- likely through webcomics or just plain writing. I love fantasy and dnd-type settings. I am obsessed with horror and gore- body horror is right up my alley and I love creature features and monsters! I am a monster lover to my soul <3 very aroace but I would romance a dragon if given the chance!!
Don’t think there much beyond that. I haven’t left a lot of the fandoms I’ve been in since I was a kid: MLP, FNAF, HTTYD, Pokemon, LOZ, etc etc. But I also love shows like Bojack Horseman and The Thing (1982) is easily one of my favorite movies. I’ll try to sign my asks off after this but no guarantees I’ll remember! I’m a very wordy person so it might be obvious who I am lol
🪶
High five for dragon romancers! Also, in an eerie coincidence, Lisa Frank was a raging asshole too.

It’s been years, I think, since I wrote anything even slightly raunchy for Class of the Titans and I really enjoyed doing so again! I did my best to get in several characters, based on this prompt here, and hope you all enjoy!
Jay
Aqua: Top or bottom?
I think this is a little surprising, but Jay, while he can and will top, tends to be a bottom more of the time. He’s got a lot of pressure on him as a leader and people always expect him to know what he’s doing and to be in charge and I feel that sexually, he likes to just let go of all that and to relax and let someone else take charge for once. When he’s really stressed or worried about something is the times when he does take charge sexually.
Azure: What’s your biggest turn-on?
He gets really turned on by a lot of touch and he really likes it when his partner gives him back or shoulder rubs or offers him a massage. A full body massage is right up his alley and he’ll be trembling and painfully hard by the end of the massage, right on the edge of orgasm and he’ll desperately need his partner to give him that release.
Baby: Have you ever had sex with someone of the same gender?
This is just my personal headcanon, and if your view of Jay differs than I fully support that, but I do think Jay is straight, without even a hint of bicurious tendencies, and I don’t think he’s into the idea of having sex with the same gender and has never done so.
Theresa
Carolina: Have you ever had sex with someone of a different gender?
I do think that Theresa has been with someone of a different gender, and I actually feel that she’d be one of the earlier ones to lose her virginity, probably in her mid-to-late teens.
Cerulean: What’s your biggest turn-off?
It doesn’t seem like it would be her biggest turn-off to most people, but it really is. Theresa is really into her partner’s taking good care of themselves and heavy sweat or body odour will make her completely turned off, as will bad morning breath or a lack of personal grooming.
Cyan: What’s your sexual orientation?
As anyone who has read this blog for a bit knows, I’m not into discussing my takes on a character’s sexual orientation just because I don’t want to stir up any controversy, but rest assured that I am completely cool with however you want to headcanon Theresa’s sexual orientation.
Herry
Cobalt: Rough or soft?
Herry will never purposefully go into sex meaning to be rough and he tries really hard to hold back, since he is aware of his own strength. He prefers softer sex, either just really romantic or lazy or caring. That being said, when he gets really lost in pleasure, he can lose a little bit of his self-control and things can get quite rough, especially when he’s getting close to his orgasm.
Cornflower: Are you a virgin?
Herry’s one of the last to lose his virginity. His grandmother had the talk with him fairly early in his life and while she explained the details, she also hammered it into his head that he shouldn’t rush to lose his virginity, that it was to be a gift between two people who truly love each other, and Herry wouldn’t really want to lose his virginity until he really fell in love for the first time.
Denim: Are you naturally submissive or dominant?
Because of his size, a lot of people would just assume that Herry was more into being dominant sexually but he’s really not. He actually leans more towards being submissive sexually and is so eager to please his lovers, willing to let them take the lead or to follow their orders. That being said, he’s not into anything more extreme than maybe being tied up, and he wouldn’t like a harder dom or anything degrading in the slightest. He needs a soft dom, who will give him praise and encouragement and won’t push his limits too much.
Atlanta
Electric: Do you prefer lingerie to regular underwear?
Not at all. Atlanta lives in her sports bra and plain cotton underwear and I feel she’d actually be really into boxer shorts, especially the ones designed for women, especially in fun patterns or prints.
Indigo: Do you like phone sex?
No. This is actually a pretty hard no for her. It’s just awkward and it does nothing for her and, if a partner was to keep pushing for it or trying to instigate it, it actually turns her off quite a bit.
Lapis: What’s your best fantasy?
Atlanta has a really big kink for sex outdoors. She wants to go for midnight runs that end with getting rutted against a tree or her riding her partner desperately in a forest clearing, the sound of nature and the feeling of the wind on her skin just enhancing the sounds of sex and pleasure and the feeling of deep need and approaching orgasm.
Odie
Midnight: Are you into role-play?
I do see this being a kink for Odie. He likes sexy costumes on his partner and especially sexy cosplays from his favourite comics, videogames, and shows. Most of his roleplay would veer into geeky territory, though he does have a thing for student-teacher roleplays or the hot librarian roleplay.
Oxford: Have you ever had sex with more than one person in a 24 hour period?
No. And it will remain a no forever, even if it is a kink of his partner’s and even if his partner gives him permission. Odie is so incredibly monogamous that the idea of being with more than one person sexually makes him a little nauseous. He doesn’t even find the idea of a threesome appealing, despite it being one of the most common male fantasies.
Periwinkle: Do you use sex toys often?
I don’t think Odie uses sex toys all that often. He has an interest in sex toys and he’s really into the idea of using one but he’s really quite shy with his sexuality and he’s too embarrassed to order them online and definitely wouldn’t ever be able to walk into a sex shop to buy one.
Neil
Persian: Would you do public sex at all?
Okay, I know this might seem out there, but I feel, what with his inflated ego, high opinion of his own attractiveness, and need for attention that Neil actually would do porn with a partner if they were at all up to it. He’d be completely fine with them not wanting their own face shown and he wouldn’t brag about it, but he definitely enjoys filming them having sex and would throw it up on PornHub.
Powder: Vanilla sex or spiced up?
Neil needs a mixture of both. He can get bored pretty easily sexually. He still wants vanilla sex, especially if he’s feeling blue or if he’s in a lazy period, but he wants there to be some sexual adventure in his sex life. When he and his partner are experimenting sexually or indulging in kinks, he wants those occasions to be more of a big deal, with more effort put into those times.
Prussian: Confess a kink to me?
Neil really likes to watch himself have sex, so he’ll really enjoy having sex with a partner in front of a mirror. In his own bedroom, he’ll probably install a mirror on the ceiling just so that he can always see the action from multiple angles, no matter what position he’s in.
Archie
Royal: What’s your favourite position?
Archie’s actually really simple in terms of his taste and he’ll really enjoy most of the basic vanilla positions, though he does like cowgirl position a little more than some of the others because of the visual aspects of it. However, he does need a lot of changing it up in terms of positions during sex to actually reach orgasm.
Sky: Do you read smut/watch porn?
I actually have this pretty strong headcanon that not only does Archie read smut, but he writes it too. He’s really popular in a couple of fandoms, or on places like Wattpad where he posts more original writings, for his erotic writing.
Teal: Where was the strangest place you ever had sex?
Archie is another one who I could see being quite into having sex in nature, provided that it was done in a more private setting. I think he’s probably had sex in a cave while out hiking, with that being the strangest place for him.
Tiffany: Would you/do you do sex work?
That’s one of Archie’s heaviest hard no’s. He’s not puritanical, by any means, but he does have a healthy respect for sex and doesn’t believe it should be a really casual thing and I think he’d have a less than stellar view of those who did do sex work.
Cronus
Turquoise: Have you ever taken part in group sex?
Yes. It was a different time, the time of the Titans, a time when morals weren’t quite so rigid and hedonistic tendencies flourished.
True: Do you remember your first time?
I really don’t think that Cronus would remember his first time. Being immortal, he’s had eons of experience and living and pleasant memories tend to be easily discarded from his mind.
Ultramarine: Do you do/enjoy oral?
I feel like Cronus is actually really good at giving oral sex but won’t get his partner off that way. He’ll get them most of the way there, but he refuses to let them cum anywhere besides around his cock. As far as receiving, he’s really into that as he loves seeing his partner on their knees for him, but he really doesn’t much care for deep throat-fucking. The noise actually turns him off more than it turns him on.
