i could literally talk abt quotes from thg for HOURS like im not even kidding (i have) ....however, it has come to my attention that some people GENUINELY agree with the quote haymitch says in catching fire "you know, you could live a thousand lifetimes and not deserve him." which could not be more false. i believe they both deserve each other EQUALLY like there is no "one deserves the other more" type of thing going on. its like. they have both gone through the hunger games TWICE, peeta has been taken and hijacked, and katniss (a 17 year old keep in mind) is basically forced to become the head of this revolution. the worthiness of the other ones love should NOT be the first thing on their mind. "but she was literally soooo mean to him!" 1) womp womp 2) stfu. like i do NOT want anyone to ever call this girl mean. like ever. ESPECIALLY not to peeta. lets keep in mind what this girl literally said about peeta before "what i need is the dandelion in the spring. the bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. the promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. that it can be good again." hm does that sound remotely mean to u? or how abt "no one has held me like this in such a long time. since my father died and I stopped trusting my mother, no one else's arms have made me feel this safe." or maybe "i realize only one person will be damaged beyond repair if peeta dies. me." does any. ANY. of that sound like someone who is "being mean" to peeta rn???? like i could go on for HOURS abt how much katniss was in love with that boy. however. i feel like the people saying mean stuff abt katniss isnt actually made abt her actions towards him, but more the fact that she didn't really show HEAVY romantic feelings towards him until the quarter quell. which is first of all, unfair. u want this 16 year old girl who was just thrown into a DEATH ARENA have her first thoughts be "hm i wanna kiss peeta" like NO. she was much more focused on trying not to die thank u very much. AND THEN. as soon as she finds out that she can save peeta, she YELLS HIS FREAKING NAME AND GOES TO FIND HIM. like girly didnt have to do that! BUT. SHE. They have been together for maybe five years, and Bradley has lived on and off with them for the last two, when Mav presents both of them with presents on a random day of a random week. The paper is full of mini jets, and Bradley giggles all the way to the living room because uncle uncle, uncle Mav have a present for us! Mav explains to both of them, while Bradley destroys the package and Ice is metodically opening it, that they deserve to have a leather jacket too, like his, and maybe they (Ice) could put on all the patches from the squadron they work with or just go around all wearing it? Bradley smiles with all his teeth, except for two in the front row, before hugging Mav, yes yes we're going to wear it together! It's going to be fun, Uncle Mav! Then Ice's arms are hugging both of them, kissing his head, and yeah, can't promise I'm going to wear it every day like someone I know, but it's beautiful, thank you, babe.

(A year later, and this time on Mav's birthday, Bradley gives him two presents. The second one is a patch with a pretty colourful design and the code BKM-03 embroidered under it. Because Bradshaw-Kazansky-Mitchell! So you can take us with you when you're not around. We made it! Uncle Ice said the most important part of it was all the love we put into making it. We used all the love we have for you so you won't feel alone ever, ever, again! And Mav had found himself hugging Baby Goose and Ice as strongly as he could to hide the tears because that's the most beautiful present someone could give me.)

((After the mission, when Bradley sits in front of the two people who raised him, he can't help but notice that the patch he and Ice made a lifetime ago is still there. This time he's the one who hugs his dads and stays there, between them, trying not to cry and not letting them go.))

Ok so sorry this took me so long to answer but I really had to do something I'm not good at and think about this. Like a lot and then I kept forgetting and scrolling through tiktok.

So anyway my headcanon is that when Jonathan introduced his boyfriend to her she was super upset at first because not only is he a new guy and sometimes kids are super weary of people and you need to earn their trust but because she thought Damian and Jonathan were together.

I think she sees them more like her uncles and mentors. But when Jay was introduced she tried to be polite cause thats what her mom taught her but she tries to keep her distance.

Jay brings her snacks and small gifts and as much as she appreciates them she can't get over the fact that the uncles she wanted aren't together. But instead of staying upset for long she decides to make a plan.

Yes that's right I think she would try and parent trap them together. Because it's not fair that her uncle Damian is single and in all reality she thinks they are probably the only two that could handle him.

I mean she is still disappointed it not just Damian and Jonathan but she's ok with Jay because he let her paint his face and nails and brought her chocolate.

So using all the tricks she knows she tries to give them the run of their lifetime. Putting them in silly situations were either two or three of them have to find her or she is using her skills as a detective (learned from Damian and from her distant grandpa Bruce) asks them questions that embarrasses them.

Until they finally sit her down and talk to her why she's been acting so weird. She finally breaks down and tells them it's not fair that they aren't all together. They shush her and finally tell her they've been dating for months they just didn't want to tell her yet.

Turns out in the middle of her parent trapping them and in their own free time they figured themselves out and stopped being dumb (for once). Being the kid she is she's relieved she doesn't have to try and be sneaky bit at the same time she is upset that they didn't tell her sooner. All while this is going on Diana of course is even more relieved so she doesn't have to hear trinity pin point her entire plan and when it doesn't work or go right come home and talk about it for hours.

I think they all definitely teach her different skills and techniques she would need and all help out with taking her to the park or zoo and treating her out. Though her favorite times are when they all are together.
