hello please give me some advice

every time i shower at my own apartment i get itchy as fuck. ONLY in my apartment. i did not get itchy when showering during field work or while i was visiting my parents. i have used the same soap and roughly the same water temp in all three locations but only the water in my apartment causes the Itching.

i do not get a rash and, i cannot stress this enough, i am not itchy after showering using the same products in other locations.

i am assuming this is an issue with the water/pipes at my apartment but i have no idea how to fix this. does anyone have any advice/has anyone experienced this? is it just a matter of getting a better shower head??
