Striker redesign/reimagine!

Might tweak a few things in the future, but here he is!

I'll talk about him under the cut, because I have some things to say

Okay! So: Striker

Let me start by saying that I don't really hate his design as is. I think he looks fine. But! As somebody from the southwest, I wanted to add a little extra southwestern style influence on him. And I also wanted him to look more like a rattler.

Now if some of you might be a little confused by the blue, I do have an explanation for it. Admittedly this is more personal than logical, but here's a cool little factoid about my nick of the woods.

As I've mentioned multiple times, I'm from the southwest, and we have a local very old Superstition around here, the Superstition goes that West is the direction of evil. It's where the sun is swallowed and darkness rises. What time were evil spirits would rise and torment the living. But it was said if you painted your window sills or doorways blue, you would be safe. Blue was the color of safety and protection.

So I kind of gave Striker little blue accents, as a reference to that color of safety. I like the idea that it's a comfort color for him.

Anyway! Aside from my barely filtered Self Indulgence, here are my thoughts;

I don't like his fingerless gloves, 90% of the characters seem to have fingerless gloves, literally everybody in the main cast has fingerless gloves or something similar. I like fingerless gloves, but I'm sick of it being everywhere in this show

As mentioned before I wanted to make him look more snake-like, so I gave him a rattler Style tell, larger fangs, more orange toned, a different horn Style just a match a little bit better. And eyeball imagery on his clothing. Since rattlesnakes sometimes look like they have eyeball patterns

Gave him scars, I was just like with millie, I feel like he's got into a lot of fights, and since they're both from wrath they should both have some Battle Scars.

Speaking of Millie, I had this idea for a rewrite, let me know what you think. What if Millie was actually considered the weakest in her family growing up? Which has caused her to be very self-conscious about her strength and constantly want to get stronger. All of this leading to her currently being extremely competitive to the point where it can be detrimental. And what if, when she wasn't able to actually help around the farm, the family had Striker come over and help?

Striker could be a long time family friend she grows up with, but also goes on to resent because she feels he is, in a sense, replacing her.

So the Harvest Moon episode would be more about her feeling an internal rivalry with him rather than a cliched masculinity episode with Moxxie

Maybe he goes easy on her because he cares about her, and she notices, leading her to feel like he sees her as weaker, which is very insulting to her Pride.

This could be why she eventually joins IMP, maybe assassinating humans makes her feel strong.

Those are my thoughts with Millie and Striker. Now, to explore another Dynamic that I'm sure you guys have been eager to hear my thoughts about...

Striker's dynamic with Blitzo

It probably doesn't surprise any of you, but I thoroughly believe that they had far more chemistry in this one episode, then Blitzo and Stolas do throughout the rest of the show

Clearly Blitzo likes him, and at the very least, Striker does have some respect for him upon their first meeting

The way he talks to Blitzo, it plays into what Blitzo actually *wants*. He offers a ticket out. A way to success without being shackled to Stolas

Striker calls Blitzo: impressive, sir, above sucking on a pompous Goetia.

Stolas, on the other hand: my impish little plaything, adorable, itty bitty imp, constantly baby talks him, "Blitzy" which was established Blitzo hates.

I will get to Stolas eventually, I have some thoughts I'll Explore More with him. In due time.

Would I make Blitzo and Striker a couple in my Reimagined Helluva? I don't know, because I don't really think it's necessary. I do think however that Striker eventually could become one of Blitzo's friends.

I have a very specific scene in my head:

Blitzo's uncertain about Striker's offer, he doesn't know if he should actually trust him, if he should uproot his whole business for the stranger just because he's saying the right things, or if he should just do what he's doing now and see if he can get success.

They fight, for a bit, Striker keeps talking throughout their tussle, tempting Blitzo to join him on killing Stolas.

They are equally matched, both holding the blessing tipped rifle, in a tense game of tug o' war.

Their rumble goes on for just long enough that now, Striker looks out the window, to see his opportunity to kill Stolas while he was on stage has passed.

Striker sighs, dissapointed as Stolas is once again surrounded by guards blocking his clear shot.

He releases his rifle, causing Blitzo to stumble back a bit.

He composes himself, straightening his clothes and dusting himself off.

"Tell you what Blitz, I'll give you some time to think on it."

Striker takes Blitzo's hand in his own for a moment, his tone of voice more welcoming than before.

He pulls away, revealing je placed a Buisness card with his phone number in Blitzo's palm.

"And when you decide what you want, you give me a call."

So! Those are my thoughts!

If I were in charge of the show, I would let Striker's business card sit on Blitzo's desk, or in his wallet, showing the audience that Striker is still in the back of his mind, even if Striker doesn't make a direct appearance in a few episodes.

I had a lot of fun with Striker, as you all can probably tell, he was one of my favorites before season 2 happened.

I got this idea a while back, like “hey, wouldn’t the robo fizzies cost a lot to produce?” Cuz even if Mammon cut corners, making robots that detailed and expressive would still cost a lot. So, the concept of a cheap-screen-face-roboFizz was embedded in my brain.

Was a random thing I had in my head when thinking of my first attempts at HB redesigns awhile back- (granted I didn't get that far beyond the royal Goetia family, buuut yknow lol)

I think part of whats keeping me from going ahead with other potential redesigns (esp for the main IMP crew), is that... idk how exactly to handle the "Full Moon deal" tbh? .w.;; I know its basically 'enmeshed' in Blitz & Stolas' story (so much that some could argue it'd be weird to take it away-)... but at the same time, idk its hard for me to imagine properly weaving it into the narrative without sending some weird messages to the audience (if they are an intended endgame ship & such-)

-Soooo, here's what I had in mind if I were to personally reimagine the Stol*itz arc (depending on which route I go with the Full Moon deal):

(If the Full Moon deal IS kept in-): -Blitz attempts to steal the grimoire, then after a drunk one-night stand, Stolas coerces him to partake in the "Full Moon deal" to avoid legal trouble (for both parties) -Blitz's company continues to grow in sales thanks to Stolas letting him keep the grimoire... yet more & more overtime he grows weary having to "please" this bird prince (refuses to open up to his employees about it however, to avoid being pitied/looked-down upon 'cause y'know... he's "the boss"-) -Things are basically standard up until the night of "Ozzie's", where Blitz finally has enough and basically tells Stolas off for his entitled creep behavior. -Stolas reflects on his actions up til that point, deciding to "let Blitz off the hook" from their typical meetup times afterwards. Blitz is more than happy to take that, ofc (albeit, confused... but happy, nonetheless-) -Eventually Stolas does decide to invite him back to his place (something Blitz is lowkey-dreading, but puts on a brave face for his teammates' livelihood)... only for him to present Blitz with the Asmodean crystal, essentially-freeing him of the Full Moon deal. -Stolas actually gives a genuine apology/remorse for how he treated Blitz, admitting that this whole thing was just some desperate distraction from his own personal woes at home. As much as Blitz wants to be thankful for this change of heart... he can't take it anymore once Stolas brings up potentially "starting over" (as if a mere gift of a crystal + apology is enough to fix things, basically-). The night ends as Blitz tells off Stolas & leaves his place... Stolas once more having to stand in silence, thinking of what went wrong... -By the time of the trial episode, neither Stolas or Blitz are on speaking terms; yet things escalate when Stolas gets put on trial for his mishandling of the grimoire (+his Goetia duties). As much as IMP try to step in and save him, Stolas holds them back as he finally admits to the world what he did to Blitz... earning him scorn across imp-kind + his royal status & powers stripped away. Blitz is left with conflicted feelings, now that he's being given proper support & praise by his teammates (+fellow imps) for facing what he did simply to keep up his business... yet at the same time, can't find it in him to ditch Stolas in his pitiful state... -He gives the former-prince a place to stay at for the night at Blitz's apartment; thanking him but keeping his distance in terms of "bonding" (not wanting a repeat of what happened, before). Eventually, Stolas would move out & have enough savings set-aside to get his own place... at that point feeling too guilty to approach Blitz anymore (but still wishes him luck on his endeavors). The rest of the narrative would be spent on Stolas finding his own independence/working on himself for the better, whilst IMP steadily goes back to what they do best... silly assassin shenanigans as one happy (founded) family~

(If the Full Moon deal is NOT kept in-): -Stolas & Blitz have a one night stand for the sake of Blitz stealing his grimoire; Stolas (having long-since grown "bored" of his typical Goetia duties) approaching him later to offer a chance at being a 'business benefactor'. Essentially, securing IMP more chances at assassination gigs/clients who'll pay big money to get their vengeance on whoever wronged them in the human world. -Throughout these ventures, Stolas would keep trying to hit on Blitz/offer a "repeat" of their one-night stand... which Blitz would swiftly reject each time (to varying comedic-levels). -Eventually the night of "Ozzie's" happens (this time is treated more like a date on Stolas' end... thinking his own "charm" attempts have paid off). With all that happens afterwards, Blitz gives him a firm dose of reality that they were never anything "special"... something that rattles Stolas as up to that point, he's never truly ever been told "no" like that (let alone by an imp)... -The rest of the narrative would follow fairly standardly as Stolas tries to work in more of a genuine friendship effort; paying extra on each IMP mission, sending friendly cards/gift offers, all of which Blitz keeps at a distance since he's still (understandably) upset at him. -At some point Stolas does still give him an Asmodean crystal (+genuinely apologizes)... but as one last peace offering now that he's (somewhat) got the hint Blitz ain't interested. The night most likely wouldn't end as dramatically as the other route... but perhaps more as a sign that maybe, just maybe, they can start over again as friends. -Potential bonus ep of both men gradually going back to speaking terms; with perhaps "Apology Tour" going more along the lines of Stolas encouraging Blitz to make things right with Verosika at her party (now framed as a simple Halloween party; no weird "anti-Blitz" theme attached-). Blitz is able to have a bigger chance at earning closure with his ex, and Stolas gets up to some silly party antics since he's usually so reclusive to himself. The night ends as Blitz seems to accept Stolas more as a friend now (& wishes him luck when the bird man gets a cute incubus dude's number lol). -The trial later on would focus more on Stolas being put on the spot for his misuse of the grimoire (even without any creepy coercion deal-attached). Blitz & IMP find a way to speak up for Stolas' defense yet are powerless to stop the court from stripping Stolas' status & powers. He & Blitz are working more on their friendship this time, yet eventually are able to reach a point of giving eachother their own space to grow/heal better.

Helluva Boss Re-Imagined/Rewrite: Andrealphus

Andrealphus is mostly based on Octavia except he's lean on 80s-90s goth and punk fashion. He was Stolas’ adopted by Stolas and the second Goetian who held the marquisate after his father died during an extermination. Like Stolas, he masters in astrology yet he excels in geometry (like in Ars Goetia).

Queen Beelzebub

(Reimagined for fun)

Redesign lore:

Beelzebub is the sin of Gluttony and the ruler of the Gluttony Ring. Despite her appearance, she isn’t actually a Hellhound, she’s a pure-bred, Anthophila (Bee) demon. She has the ability to change her appearance to her desire, even changing her entire doma in if she so pleases.

Bee chose to appear as a hellhound to better comfort the hellhounds that come to her ring in search for shelter and a home. After seeing how her (original) people were growing envious of her love for the hellhounds, she changed her appearance again to show them that she still cares and sees them as her people, and some of them her children. She loves parties, and she will go all out if she hears there’d be a new guest.

She’s known as Queen by her native people, but just Bee by the hellhounds and frequent visitors.

About the gluttony part, she still feeds off of ‘the vibe’ in a crowd, but it’s only to keep her personality and mental battery. She feeds on Human’s indulgence in this sin; getting great amounts of wealth and power from her distant offspring on earth, humans’ insatiable appetite, along with the gluttony of most animals.

(She isn’t taking Vortex in this reimagine, but it’s almost like a platonic roommates trope)

Perez Castillo

Damn it I misread it reimagined the victim who have been murdered.

His name means 'To Blossom' he's grew up in a small town and he's a florist.

His sin are Wrath and he’s a goat sinner

He was driving in his truck with flowers trying to reach the festival to the Tijuana as his truck broke down as he groaned in frustration in Spanish.

He see a man as he asked for help as Gerado tell Perez to give him money.

Perez refused as they both go into the shed Gerado shot Perez in the head as Gerado stole his money.

Perez felt angry and rage that he got murdered as he went to hell that he became a goat sinner as he see the Billboard that said'Do you want somebody dead?No problem we're the immediate murder professionals!I.m.p for short we'll help you murder them for you!' Perez immediately goes to the building as he began to have a meeting with Blitzo.

Perez doing hand motion and talking in her language as Blitzo is confused about Perez.

Perez groaned in frustration as he gives the picture to his murderer as Blitzo saying "OOOOOHHH...So you want me to kill him?" "SI!!"

Perez lives in the apartment so he would always earned money for the job.

He found the job at 'Hell of a Dish' fancy restaurant as he became waiter.

Everyone doesn't understand him except Dasha she understands him very well.

Ayyyy guess who decided to jump on the redesign trend after rewatching the "Queen Bee" ep again lol Mind you, I don't actually hate Bee's canon design within the show (esp with the honey hair, bee colors & lava lamp aesthetics being pretty stellar on their own~)... buuut your girl just couldn't resist the chance to draw up a cute lil bee gal lol :p

And so, here's Bee-Bee~ Decided to theme her more after bee flies (pointy nose/fluffiness), honeypot ants (lava tail), moths (antenna-ears/feathery neck), whilst simultaneously giving her a silhouette of a Fennec Fox/Chihuahua doggy so she'd blend in a bit more with her Hellhound crew (*though don't try to bug her if she's hangry lol*). Then I kept the rest of her color-scheme (mostly) the same, accented the blue bits more to her eyes/jewels, and then adding in a lil rainbow effect to her wings just 'cause I thought that'd be purdy~ uwu 🌈✨

Helluva boss is such a strange show to me. The current quality of the latest season is such a downgrade from the first with recycled plotlines, female characters who are either sidelined or written as a complete bitch (or both), the show thinking that swearing every 5 seconds and unfunny raunchy jokes = funny and a romantic kind of side plot but not really that’s written and structured like a 13 year old’s yaoi fanfic. But at the same time I’m still watching this show every time a new episode releases. Maybe it’s because vivzie does a great job of getting you invested in her characters and world? Maybe it’s the consistent animation quality? Maybe it’s the constant hope from my of “maybe this time this episode won’t disappoint”? Or maybe I just wanna know how much more tropey the favourite ship between the unstable lizard and bird idk.

Either way this show is one of the most bizarre show experiences I ever had. I swear it’s like one part of me wants to stop watching because of how much of a downwards spiral the quality is but at the same time I’m like “is this episode gonna be good? Is my favourite character verosika gonna show up? Are said the said unstable lizard and bird gonna actually talk about their feelings to each other?”
