☆] reaching out for a bit of assistance from some more seasoned hellenic pagans !!! u_u;
i've been researching each day and praying to at least one god as i go to sleep in an attempt to find my path of devotion and worship. i think what i've settled on is that i find the most comfort and focus from gods of or related to celestial beings - especially the sun and moon - as well as those with direct ties to nature (plants and animals particularly.)
is this a common/acceptable focus to have, even though it may come with worship to a large handful of gods? for reference as well, i'm extremely new to hellenism and have researching general paganism for months but have only recently settled in about a week or two ago.
☆] gods i've found myself focusing on the most are Apollon, Dionysos, Artemis, Selene, and Helios.
i suppose what i'm looking for are some accounts, advice, and information on the best way to go about this in terms of worship. i can't have a permanent altar at the moment due to family, but i'd love tips or sources for the best way to conduct devotions and prayers.
☆] thanks for reading and granting me your time! may health and happiness be upon you and may your gods guide you well! x

Since we're entering the season of colds, the flu, and many other wintery sicknesses, here is a prayer to Asclepius, the god of health. Remember to show him the gratitude for the health you had and beg his protection during this period.
All praise to skillful Asklepios, son of Apollo and bright Koronis, kind-hearted god, friend of men and women. Your gentle touch eases our pain, oh god, your firm hand guides or restoration; you teach us to live well, to care for ourselves, to seek the wisdom of Hygeia, your beloved daughter, good and knowing goddess who turns the minds of men toward wholesome food and drink, and healthful pursuits. Nimble-fingered one, quick-witted one, by your might does the broken bone set, the torn flesh mend, the damaged soul heal. With your help do we bear any hurt, do we suffer any malady, do we battle any affliction, with strength of will and with steadfast heart: Asklepios, father of physicians, helper of humanity, I praise you, I honor you, I thank you for your gifts.
(This prayer isn't mine. It was derived from In Praise of Olympos, Prayers to the Greek Gods by Hearthstone.)

At night, the frogs croak loud enough to drive Dionysos mad twice-over.
The wind blows with the breath of Zephyrus, and Notos' cold breath no longer stings bare skin. Even the winds that are cold seem to come from a warmer source.
Apollo has returned to Delphi, and prophecies float freely through the ruins.
The Dryads slowly open their bleary red eyes from their long rest. By the time they are fully open, they will be green. In the meantime, their evergreen sisters tell them stories of the winter.
Artemis restrings Her bow, and carefully places perfect arrows into Her quiver. For now, She only hunts what grows in the forest - fiddlehead ferns, ramps, and water from sweet-flowing springs. But when the animals fully awaken, when the young are grown, She will take again to Her hunting grounds.
Athena receives Her yearly influx of frantic prayers from students as they embark on their end-of-the-year projects, be they theses or finals.
Hermes stands guard over muddy roads, stopping fools from going where their cars cannot.
Zeus sends down rain that is warm, that people can stand and dance in. This rain gives life, and never freezes. Below, blessed Hera laughs and picks the new flowers, and gently ushers Her peacock’s new chicks beneath Her skirt when the rain is too hard.
Below the Earth, Hades passes letters to Iris, each one carefully addressed to His beloved Wife, and Iris joyfully takes the letters in Her careful hands and springs up from the Underworld, leaving colorful arcs in the sky as She runs.
And, of course, Persephone returns to open-armed Demeter, whose joy echoes through the world along with that of Her Daughter's. How beautiful and blessed are the joys of the Gods!

I've seen people talk about their conversations or experiences with their deities, and I wanted to make something very clear. You don't need to communicate to your deities. Do you think that people back then would just casually talk to the gods on a regular basis? No. They would go to their temples, pray, and give them offerings, and went along with their day hoping the gods heard them.
You don't need to overthink it. Go do some research, make an altar/shrine for whichever deity you want to devote to or worship. If you can't, you can always do some devotional acts. Go to a flea market or go to a mall, and when you look at something and think "Wow, that reminds me of [deity's name]" or "That's something I can totally see [deity's name] wearing," that's a devotional act.
Read their myths, stories, and even fictional shows or movies about them, even if they're depicted as evil or not. Read books or novels about them, good or bad. Pray to them for whatever reason, whether it's for protection or for anything else you can think of. Yes, communication is important, but you shouldn't be hard on yourself for not knowing how to or being able to.

Know that at a glance, your deities have seen every part of you that lies within, and they loved you enough to stick around. The "horrible flaws" that you think you have may not be as horrible as you believe they are.
At the very least, your deities have seen your potential for change, and they knew so confidently that you were capable of it that they have remained by your side to help you along your path. It takes a considerable amount of love and care for someone to do that.

I dont know if this will reach anyone who can give me some insight but I am, undoubtedly, being courted by Hermes.
I know in a lot of pagan and Hellenistic circles, this kind of thing is viewed negatively. Trust me, I have been going through an uphill battle of discerning whether or not this is me projecting or if it's legit. Given my attitude and hesitations, along with A LOT of confirmations, this is in fact happening.
Tirelessly, I have been trying to research and dig for any other experiences specifically around Hermes but there's so very little out there. If I'm being honest, it makes me want to tear my hair out lol
I can't help but think that this his way of telling me that the way we define our relationship and build it, is our own. That I shouldn't be comparing to others but for me, I want to devour every bit of information I can get my hands on. And I have some inklings why some people don't come forth to talk about their experiences, it literally sounds insane. Trust me, I have checked that I am mentally sound and not in any psychosis. This is actually the healthiest I've have felt in a while.
Yet, I'm perplexed by the lack of people who find themselves in romantic throes with the likes of Hermes. Other gods seem to have amassed larger groups and with it, comes that information and a buzz of shared experiences.
I can't help but wonder if he's more selective about who he offers this path to. Either way, I'm screaming into a pillow
