Another Nick and Charlie one because I’ve finished Rugby Sweater Weather by scienceisrealyo, which I absolutely fell in love with, so I had to read another works by them and it was a great decision.

Lavender Fields is a Rugby Sweater Weather AU.

Summary:

31 year old Nick Nelson retired from professional rugby and is giving Sarah Nelson a well-deserved year off from running Lavender Fields Bed and Breakfast. And Nick’s doing fine, thank you very much. Until the guest name C. Spring changes everything.

I just love how the author develops each character. I’m on chapter 7 of the 27/30 posted. This time around, the end notes are filled with recipes and I’ve been saving a few of those. I like to think that I'm good at following recipes, so hoping for the best.

Ok, we all talk about enemies to lovers a lot because of the falling despite seeing the bad side first, but I feel like we’re forgetting friends to lovers can do the same thing.

Friends to lovers is falling in love with the entire person, not just their faults or their good side, or their appearance. They know each other and trust each other and fall in love because of that.

The know the faults like the enemy does. Bu they know the good side too. And all the bits in between. They fall in love with the whole person because they know the whole person.They know how they fit into their life and don’t want to live without it.

This is my first time reading an enemies to lovers fic with this couple and I was curious but also nervous when I started it… I’m glad I did though! The story development has been great, I’m caught up to the latest update, 20/23 chapters.

Heartstopper, RWRB, and Young Royals all feel like AU multichapter fanfiction adaptations.

Young Royals is the very-long but very-well-written one that’s on everyone’s rec lists and has over 5k kudos on AO3.

Heartstopper is the 65/? chapter one that’s written by an earnest teenager who grew up in queer online spaces.

RWRB is the fluffy one with 10 chapters that you skimmed through quickly except the 7th chapter which is bookmarked because it has the most incredible sex scene you’ve ever read, but you’ve never thought twice about the rest of the story.
