To release Juno, who seeks to enslave humanity once more, or to condemn billions of innocents to a cruel, unjust death.

the fact of the matter is percy jackson and the olympians is a story of a negligent system in which demigods often fall victim. luke’s motive as the main antagonist throughout the series is to dismantle that system, dismantle the thrones on which the gods sit. hestia, however, does not sit on a throne. She places herself at camp half-blood among the demigods, reachable and ready to provide them warmth. and when the war reaches its peak, lives are threatened and the olympians leave to defend their symbols of power, hestia remains on mount olympus and tends to hearth, nurturing what is left of family. hestia is not everyone’s favorite Oolympian because she has done nothing to harm the demigods (though, that is a huge factor). she is the most honorable because she does what she can to maintain hope and stability throughout adversity. hestia was the last olympian remaining because she represents what matters most when everything falls apart.

not to carry on with my "lucy and edmund step into susan and peter's roles during the events of votdt" but in "prince caspian" we saw the pevensie siblings consistently falling into their throne order whenever they were near each other, always standing in that specific order whether on purpose or subconciously. throughout "voyage of the dawn treader", lucy and edmund continue that, only this time, thye fall into susan and peter's positions in the throne order, with lucy almost always standing on edmund's right side just as susan stood on peter's right.

but i think another detail, specifically in this shot from the end of the movie, is caspian standing in lucy's original spot, and eustace standing in edmund's original spot. caspian, who came into narnia as a stranger, and stepped into the role of king with ease, and who loves narnia and the narnians more than anything, and who vows to be a better king for his people. eustace, who was on edge, angry, and doubtful of everything around him for the first half of the movie, whose experiences changed him into a better person with the capability of connecting with his cousins.

Thinking about Leo being trapped in the Prison Dimension and keeping himself warm through the power of his own ninpo - this ability is shown to us as a flame, after all, so imagine if, when he lets his mystic energy run through him, it warms him up, just a little.

In this desolate place, all cold and alone, he focuses on that flame and leans into its warmth.

He relies on it, and he realizes it that he’d relied on it too much when it goes out, and he’s once again cold.

Just random thoughts about capes, expect a lot of text without images

This is just a long post talking about HC from my skykids universe, because my arm decided it doesn't want to draw today. Don't take it literally because it's just random things that come to mind.

Today's topic will be Wings! Specifically the Capes.

I've been having trouble for a while now deciding whether to use the concept of wings being a separate part of the skykid's anatomy or a part of them that can't be removed. A cape that can be removed has many more benefits in terms of artistic comfort, but a part of me feels much more attracted to capes being a part of the body that you can't just take off and replace with another one.

So I'll focus more on the concept of the cape being part of the skykid's body and some random nonsensical thoughts that have been coming to my head lately. The first problems with a cape that can't be removed is that first it's hard to change the design and second that they feel extremely uncomfortable to use on a daily basis in some ways.

So something that came to my mind is that both the wings and the hair of the skykid are connected to its light, it's obvious but, I think that since they are part of the light, depending on the skykid there is some control over these things. I think that the hair needs to be manually cut like a normal hair to be styled but its appearance and color speak a lot about the health of the skykid's internal light. While the cape is an extension of the skykid's body, whose point of union with the body is under the neck right at the first star or maybe a little higher. Its connection is so deep with the internal light of the skykid that as the skykid matures it has greater control over it, not only in the sense of flight but also in how its appearance changes.

Moths when they are born have the typical brown cape that we all know and love, it is a symbol of innocence and childhood among skykids and if you allow me to go into this further, I have imagined it to be something very close to the transition of bird chicks that change feathers when they become adults. I can imagine a moth with its cape transitioning from a brown color to a black or white color or the typical red cape, it still has the same shape but the color is the transition step between a newly born moth and a butterfly. I had imagined this simply because of the feathery appearance that the cape has as it loses light due to things like water, in my mind the cape has very small feathers, but that doesn't make much sense does it?

Back to the subject, I think that most skykids can hide their cape, something similar to what happens when you are inside the trials, to make it more visual. Clearly a skykid can glide with their cape off but they don't have much control, it's something that is only used for utilitarian purposes where the cape gets in the way.

However, the stylization of a cape is harder for me to think about, I REALLY like the idea that although there are skykids that can change the color and shape of their cape it's not that… common. So they need help from people like the Dreams Guide or their apprentices to stylize their capes, they specialize in light work and can make incredible designs, but I've never thought about any of this very deeply.

From this whole concept I think that Orion can change the shape of his cape and that this ability varies in talent depending on each skykid. Most people can just turn it off, it's the easiest, then there are those who can only change its size and shape, but it never stops being the cape it is, as is the case of Orion, others can change their cape to a totally different one if they want… and the most talented can do that, in the middle of the flight…

But, it's not canon at all, it's a bunch of concepts that look great in my head but it has a lot of plot holes. Someday I'll talk about basic things about light, it's not something I'll talk about at the level of mufo, but some basic things about the uses they have in the universe of my skykids.

Ways I practice being a cottage witch!

Crochet!

While I crochet I will set intentions into my works! If I’m making a an item of clothing I will put intentions of warmth and safety into it, for coasters I will put intentions of their drink being satisfying. Putting intentions that relate to the item and bring the user some positivity into their lives. 🌸

Cleaning the House

This is a big one! Keeping the house clean is a very big hearth witch ritual. Ways that I make cleaning witchy is by envisioning that all stagnant and negative energy is being sent back to the Goddess so that it can be recycled. ✨

I will set intentions to put positive energy back into the house while I clean so that there isn’t a gap in the energy, and to promote happiness in the home. 🔮

Pressing / Drying Flowers and Herbs🌸

I love to collect flowers to press! I love to press and dry my own flowers for in my practice or even in letters for friends! I have used flower petals and herbs that I’ve dried in my spell jars and in my workings. 🌱

Daily Tarot

Doing a daily tarot reading is a way for me to reflect and journal about how my life is going. I find that I am able to understand what I need to be doing in order to realign my life 🥰

Howick Mesolithic House Site and Coastline, 7600BCE, Alnwick, Northumberland

A first visit for me and a journey I have been wanting to make for a long while. This site is dated as one of the oldest residences in the UK. The earthworks pictured in the final few images are the remains of a recent reconstruction of the shelter from the post holes and hearth evidence found.
