WebMD, an online healthcare information provider, bought Healthwise's operating assets to enhance its patient and member engagement features.

Healthwise's assets, including content, products, technology, client relationships, and certain trademarks, as well as the majority of its personnel, will be merged into WebMD Ignite, a brand within the WebMD umbrella that provides technology solutions to physicians and health plans.

A quick Tucker appreciation post!

What a strange little bird. She’s really runty-looking compared to her sisters, way smaller and scrawnier. And she always seems to be a bit under-the-weather, either she’s coughing and sneezing, having runny poos, or laying weird-shaped eggs. But, her personally is much bigger than her body! She’s chatty, bold, and lively, she’s usually the first of her sisters to rush me for treats - and she’ll readily kick the ass of a hen twice her size to get them! Nothing slows down this little dynamo! Maybe that’s why she’s one of Jack’s favorite hens!

This is just what happens to me when I'm stressed AND am somehow having a good time despite it. It tends to come in cycles, like when I'm inhaling a lot of books and thinking about how to write a fanfic.

It's like a churning time before I sit down and word-vomit.

Or maybe this is more like blood-letting.

The exact anniversary of it went past without me noticing, but this month marks five years since I last had to go to an ER or urgent care!!! :D

Still don't know what exactly is wrong with me health-wise, but I am doing so much better than I used to be it's a little ridiculous. I was in an urgent care or ER every summer for severe allergic reactions for years, and now I hit that late June/early July mark and don't even notice

Do you ever feel guilty for working on a fanfic story instead of putting more time into your own stories?

"Do you ever guilty for working on [X] when you could be working on [Y]" is a question to which the answer is always yes regardless of what's in those slots, even if you swap them around, lol

I do not think it is useful to moralise writing fanfiction as inferior to writing original writing, or to put them in opposition. They are different activities and they offer different things. Completing a novel is incredibly satisfying, but it is also a hard, long, solitary activity. I don’t have any intention of beginning another until I’ve made a serious attempt to get the first published, and I am not going to start that process until my current academic book is out (hopefully in a few months). And in the meantime I have articles, essays, etc. to write. Even I have limits to how much material I can produce.

Fanfiction is fun, and it’s easy, and it has a social dimension. It is less rewarding in certain ways than original writing, but I feel no moral imperative to produce more long form original work in the immediate future.

It's kinda funny actually, I always thought that writing was beyond me or just not for me, but then I wrote an ask to another writer in the fandom with my take on one of her AUs, and she simply said 'write it'. It was such a simple answer, but it suddenly hit me that I can, or at least I can try!

So I started planning and thought I would just finish that one story and that would be it, I had no other ideas and just wanted to finish that one, but the more I wrote the more ideas came into my mind and I started writing more and more.

I'm so so grateful for that little push that got me writing, because I was apparently on the edge and just needed the nudge, and now I earned this amazing hobby that really helped me out when I needed an escape from life.

There's so many amazing parts when it comes to writing about our lovely girls, but I really like exploring their characters in ways we never got to in the show, and understand them better. Especially Kara, as I feel the show really did her dirty when it came to exploring her character and especially her history and her trauma. Also, I just love them so much and love exploring new stories with them:)

POKEMON DOSSIER: SLEDGE

Sledge has a careful nature and enjoys eating iron or other scrap metals. He takes plenty of siestas. Lucy's most reclusive Pokemon by far, this behemoth ground snake slumbers beneath the Battle Pyramid and will very rarely participate in battles, lest his humongous frame damage the Pike's arena. Sledge serves as Lucy's primary mode of land transport whenever the Pike Queen wants to make a grand entrance atop his back, such as: whenever they visit Orre together. (Sledge loves the climate there.)

Lucy acquired Sledge in a trade with Team Rocket. Not much is known about the Onix's origins--only that he was utilized in Kanto's Mt. Moon to help facilitate Rocket digging operations in the area. When those operations were abandoned, Sledge was effectively fostered by the team until Lucy--tipped off by an underground connection--came along as a suitable trade partner for him. The Pike Queen had desired owning an Onix for a while (with the species being unavailable in Hoenn) and this just happened to be another lucky coincidence. In exchange for a generous amount of cash, Rocket's negotiators even threw in a Metal Coat, prompting Sledge's evolution into a Steelix.

Upon his introduction to the Frontier, Lucy had to convince Scott and the other Brains that Sledge wouldn't completely tear up the man-made battling paradise. Her argument was won almost immediately when Sledge burrowed deep under the Battle Pyramid and promptly...fell asleep there for days. (She'd work out an arrangement for 'lodgings' with Brandon later...)

Decades of hard work under Rocket have only toughened Sledge's resilience. When he is deployed for battle, it's almost impossible to leave a scratch on him. However, he is one of Lucy's gentlest Pokemon and will often just win by doing nothing, his opponent wearing themselves out all on their own.

Sledge can often be found comfortably lurking within Brandon's Battle Pyramid, usually alongside Lucy's Dunsparce. These two have a symbiotic relationship: Dunsparce burrows deep to find good mineral snacks for them, and Sledge...tolerates Dunsparce's destructive habits. Lucy will frequently visit to drop off rare or unusual materials for Sledge to munch on. (He's quite the foodie, you see...)

With the success of this trade with Rocket, Lucy is already focusing on her next target: an Ekans. God! She wants an Ekans or Arbok so badly...
