Yes… and honestly, we repeatedly see lightning-fast shifts in relationships for androids across the story. Markus and North's relationship goes from total strangers to kissing each other on national news coverage in six days. Connor imprints on Hank—again in days—so much that the first thing he does after winning a revolution and freeing his entire species is go give him a hug—when Hank literally had him by the throat a few days before, threatening to toss him in a dumpster and light him on fire, and possibly even blew out a previous model's brains, but Luther is a weirdo for being the dad that stepped up for a defenseless little girl? Kara is literally reset, reactivated, goes home, and later that day deviates and can even kill Todd to save Alice (who she's functionally known for hours). But somehow Luther latched on too fast? But also, it's canon that androids can, like, talk wirelessly in each others' heads, and unlike Kara, Luther knew what Alice was from the start. They're probably having speed-of-wifi mental chats the whole fucking game while Kara is sitting there fretting and we don't see the dialogue because it's being told from Kara's deep-in-a-river-in-Egypt point-of-view.

The idea that literal walking supercomputers are only interacting by speaking verbal English at each other the whole time instead of bouncing signals all over the place is inane. Anything they do that looks human—the appearances, the blinking, the breathing—it's all programmed just for show for humans, not because that's how androids actually interact with each other and build relationships. You're missing the obvious when you project human behavior and human biases onto non-human characters. Luther is a wholesome sweetheart of a robot-dad-by-choice and y'all can pry that from my winter-frozen, long, grabby fingers.

I have never understood how people don't like Luther. All he does is love and protect Alice and Kara and you don't like him?

A reason I was just given is that "He got attached to Alice way too quickly, it was weird" which yes it was very quick, but I stg some people just don't think about these things beyond the surface level.

Luther deviated to protect Alice. He threw off years of programming to do so. Of course he'd get attached to her, she gave him a noble purpose after Zlatko had used him for terrible, terrible things. Not to mention the emotional connection he would form for her, after fighting so hard to deviate to protect her.

He would give his life for her, because she gave him his life back.

Sorry that these aren't finished, these past days I have focused my mind on other things. I really would have liked to have them all beautifully rendered but, having a deadline has always been something I struggle with and circumstances have only made the pressure worse. Thanks to everyone who reassured me about taking a break from drawing for a bit, it was something I needed!
