What's something your OC does to wind down after a long day?

Play with Panda! Best way to wind down is with a real lazy friend, the panda he raised from a cub! Sure he usually have a number of other critters around his home, but usually they are special needs and quite the handful. Panda is just to sit down besides and they can relax and snack or lazilly play together for a moment. Like cuddling a big teddy bear except it is alive and happy to see you!

Masa'ns first reaction to getting a gift is to deny it, things such as, "You haven't." and, "You've got me a what."

Publically he's quite embarassed to receive gifts, but he knows how to be polite, and afterall he's actually very happy to be given a gift.

What setting would they consider the most romantic to spend time with a partner? A beach at sunset? A private box at the theatre? An opulent ballroom? A private garden? Or something else entirely?

Annual Amorous Asks

Forest trails on the cusp of winter -- that moment right as autumn is ending and winter is soon felt upon the land. Sure, Nomin hates the cold, and has made this evident. However...the crisp air and slight chill reminds her -- reminds them -- of Sharlayan where they finally allowed themselves to bare their emotions to one another.

Though Sharlayan itself is too stuffy and perhaps a bit alienating to the both of them, that chill -- that crisp feeling. It tickles those memories. That elation.

I'd like to imagine that Nomin and Estinien, if they want to do something special, will go somewhere where the air isn't quite frigid to make it uncomfortable for Nomin. Somewhere where the trees are saying goodbye to their leaves as they go from fiery hues to being dead and brown, falling to the ground. From there, a clear night, the velvety sky speckled with countless stars that stretch on and on and on.

The eighth character in my silly poem series is Alfarinn of @cadrenebula. This blog has thirteen OCs at the last count, of which Alfarinn is one. One might think that it would be confusing to read, let alone write, about so many OCs, but you will soon discover that they are all incredibly well-realised, with their own backstories, personalities and (most importantly) pets!

Given I can barely keep track of one OC, I am always slightly awestruck by the sheer skill and creativity to be found on this blog.

Definitely worth following if you're not already.

How about Stefan and Alexander with coffee and books? :D

Every Friday, like clockwork, Stefan found himself standing outside The Hourglass, Alexander's quaint bookshop nestled in the bustling brume sector of Ishgard. The familiar scent of old parchment and freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air as he pushed open the creaky wooden door and stepped inside.

The tinkling of a bell announced his arrival, and Alexander looked up from behind the counter. "Ah, Stefan! Good to see you again," he greeted, his voice carrying a hint of excitement. "The usual, I presume?"

Stefan nodded with a grin. "And surprise me with a new book this time too, hm?"

As Alexander prepared Stefan's black coffee just the way he liked it, he glanced at the stacks of books lining the shelves. His keen detective instincts always led him to choose something he thought his regulars would appreciate. Today, he settled on a forgotten tome about ancient ruins and lost civilizations—a subject that never failed to ignite Stefan's curiosity.

"I have something I think you'll find fascinating," Alexander said, placing the steaming cup of coffee on the counter. "It's a book about ancient ruins and the untold stories they hold. I thought it might capture your adventurous spirit."

Stefan's eyes sparkled with anticipation as he reached for the book. "Thank you, my friend. You always manage to find the most intriguing reads."

Alexander chuckled. "It's all part of the job. I love helping people find just what suits their particular tastes." He paused for a moment before adding, "Speaking of taste, I've prepared some fresh baked goods for you to take to P’sahji’to. I hope he enjoys them."

Stefan's expression softened. "He adores your baked goods, especially the pastries. You have a way with desserts just as much as you have a way with books."

The two men chatted about the latest literary discoveries, sharing stories and recommendations, while savoring the aroma of coffee that filled the air. It was a ritual they both cherished, a sanctuary of words and friendship amidst the bustling city.

After a while, Stefan reluctantly stood up, feeling the weight of time urging him to leave. "I must get going, my friend. P’sahji’to is eagerly awaiting my return. Same time next week though?"

Alexander smiled, his eyes twinkling. "I'll be here, ready with a new adventure and a fresh pot of coffee. Safe travels."

With a nod of gratitude, Stefan bid farewell to his friend and left The Hourglass, clutching the precious book in one hand and the basket of desserts in the other. As he strolled through the brume, the echoes of his footsteps mingled with the whispers of stories yet to be told.

This house's layout was stunning! Despite it being a small, the use of lofts and partitions made the space seem so much larger!

Not to mention, it's all very beautifully furnished! It looked like I was walking into a designer home! Also, very big fan of the gazebo leading into the house. What a clever use of it!

The apartment was similarly gorgeous. The layout is beyond amazing, and really makes you feel like you're stepping into some sort of woodland hut that maybe you should not have. Cozy, but a little ominous at the same time!

What a lovely FC hall! Very spacious, but at the same time very cozy!

I love all the facilities and how thoughtfully they cater to the company's residents. Even down to the little dressing room leading to the stage downstairs. Very cute.

I also had a toot around the rooms that were open, and I must say, there are a lot of pretty, creative rooms in there! Each one had its own distinct personality, and I loved looking through them all. <3

The interior of this house is so well-done, every nook and cranny is filled with decor that really brings the whole thing together! Along with the BGM, you'd think you were walking into an Ishgardian manor, not a seaside cottage!

I was NOT expecting to be invited to an in-game pizzeria of all things! That said, it was VERY cute!!

It really does give off hometown pizzeria vibes, from the brick interior to the wrought iron-backed chairs. It's extremely charming, and I will definitely be coming back sometime.

But before I left, I had to give my husbuns a little dinner date. <3

HIGHLY recommend everyone to visit at some point! It's a very fun little place! And it even has an arcade!

Just mind the mascots. We've seen too many horror games to trust them...

First off, hello hello! Nice to see you as I rolled through! <3

You made such good use of the space and slots provided in a large! It's hard to do effectively without blocking off a good chunk of it, but it looks very nice! Spacious, but in a cozy way!

I loved how you decorated each space inside, though the warm, cozy study was my favorite.

My second favorite though, was the basement. The floral walls leading to the tables was very nice, and the walls would be a beautiful space to gpose if you need a patterned backdrop.

Overall, very beautiful home! I would highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area!

Another cute FC hall!

I love the look of the cafe downstairs! It's bright and open while still feeling communal and cozy. I could see myself whiling away the time with a good book and a cup of tea down there.

Very clever with the bookshelf upstairs btw! It's a nice way to make the place cohesive while still giving everyone a little hideaway to their rooms!

Speaking of; both of the rooms are nice! The second room having only the bath is amusing, but I also totally get it. Sometimes you just need a hot bath and no thoughts. xD

I only had time to get to so many today, unfortunately, but I plan on getting the rest of Crystal and Primal done tomorrow!

I was tagged for WIP Wednesday by @iona-xiv !!! (didn't have time to answer yesterday ;_;)

i have so many thing kinda hanging in my brainspace, between Chad eye ideas (eyedeas? hmm), Kasha meeting new yokai/showing them to Toyo, and maybe getting Chad into the adventuring business. The biggest thing, though, would probably be the new character I'm working on, Holuikhan Haragin!

She's from a part of the Haragin tribe that split off and swam deep into the Ruby Sea generations ago, a place where no light touches. Still working on the nitty-gritty of her backstory/lore, but I've got the basics down, and some neat physical descriptions sort-of based on real life! Did you know there's certain deep-sea fish that have capsule-shaped melanin cells that absorb an insane amount of light? I took that and modified it a bit, so her skin's super dark underwater, and her fins/scales/eyes can shine bioluminescence like an anglerfish to attract prey! yeyeyeyeye fishe

Do either of them like to cook?

Between Khu and Adelle, Khu absolutely enjoys cooking if he has the time (which isn't often, forgetting time so easily). He appreciates the food science almost as much as all other science projects he gets into! Meanwhile Adelle isn't that great in the kitchen (though practicing) and usually the one suggesting take away food. And when lost in their work, ordering out is very comfortable.

I like to imagine when they journey to and from the Hydrae tribe, Khu is the one cooking over the open fire at the end of the days. Of course insisting on Adelle helping and teaching how to do this or that!

So a little bit about Kwaszits:

The bolds:

She doesn't believe anyone can be too old for a children's story. And she prefers the simpler words.

Comics and Graphic Novels? They have pictures. Even if she can't understand the words she can certainly look at the pictures.

Fantasy and Fiction? She likes hearing about the tales of adventurers and a lot of them seem fairly far fetched from a non-adventurer's perspective.

Kwas loves romance novels. She loves the pining, the slow burns, the love at first sights, Romeo and Juliet type stuff.

The italics:

These are underneath a bunch of assumptions.

Chick lits I don't think are things Kwas would often look at now, but maybe once or twice when she was a teen.

Art depends on what constitute as "art". Are we including making forms of art like say jewelry making, knitting, quilting, embroidery, etc or just plain drawing/sketch/painting books to learn from or just plain picture books of art? If its the broad strokes, it'd probably be a bold instead. If its the latter two, again, once or twice but not often.

Cookbooks are only when she wants to make something and nothing else.

Historical fiction will depend on the plot.

Humor/comedy I think she would be interested in, but I've also never read either of those kinds of books (because they don't really appeal to me, I'd rather watch a comedy/satire) so maybe.

Nonfiction and science are probably where her instruction manuals and DIYs are put in, but they're also other things in there so italics.

Science fiction is not as good as Fantasy/Fiction but I think she'd read a handful.

Travel books only for the newest place she's heading to and never again.

The only one I wanna talk about here is the gay/lesbian one because... well if its under romance she'll probably read it, but she's not going to go out of her way to find them.

Poetry only for the sin of having problems understanding them. I think she'd find them pretty cute/interesting if she sat down and gave them a chance.

Warfare is obvious. She's a lovegobbie. Not a fighter.

Paranormal? Kwas is a coward. She HATES ghosts. (cocoa ghost only exception and only cause he's been nice and giving her cocoa) She wants nothing to do with any of it - demons, cryptids, ghosts, all of that gives her nightmares and if I didn't know any better I'd say they could induce her into a panic.

Horror is pretty much the same thing. She doesn't like the idea of something going bump in the night, anything to do with the likes of things like slasher fics or murder mysteries or anything that could make her think not twice but four times over being alone with a chocobo on the road going to the next town. Her gobbieheart can't take it.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon?

I also got asked this by @cadrenebula, so I'll just give you both as many answers as I can with my sleepy brain at once. ♡

For dumb little things, I guess would be considered 'quirks'? Here's a few:

I headcanon Farron as having an accent similar to Erenville's but a little thicker and harder to understand as he's only been free of Rak'tika for roughly... 5 years? And if he gets excited and starts to talk too fast, people just stare at him like he's speaking in tongues, so he needs to actively slow himself down. The funny thing with Dusk that has him forgetting to slow down is that the Echo just... let's Dusk understand Farron perfectly at all times, so there's never been an issue with them! So that has him slipping back into old habits of not being so mindful, the poor guy.

There's also a habit he has of rubbing the side or back of his neck when he feels awkward or nervous.

Another silly thing he does - because he's always been terrible at getting questions across properly - is to tilt his head at the person he's talking with and tipping his ears a little too far forward to make himself visibly look inquisitive and curious. That way, people will always understand that he's actually asking something, and there's no confusion.

As for hobbies! Farron has quite a few, but they've mostly been mentioned if memory serves. It probably doesn't...

There's obviously botany and alchemy, which basically go hand in hand for him. He's a little nutty and mad over both of them, and he tends to get... very overenthusiastic if anyone starts a conversation about either with him. Don't let him talk for hours because he absolutely will, and no, he won't feel bad about it either!

Another hobby that he's picked up and really thrown himself into is cooking! He's gotten very good at it and thank the gods for that when he has to feed two grown ass elezen men who don't care to feed themselves properly.

There's also a silly one that I, personally, enjoy... he absolutely adores reading fairytales! His favorites are cheesy romances, and yes, he will happily show you his horribly embarrassing massive collection of fairytale tomes! Is it better or worse that he's collected them all in a matter of only 4 years?... It's probably fine. It's completely normal behavior.

I think that's about all that my two braincells can come up with at the moment, but I hope it was fun to read! Thanks for asking. ♡

Remember how I reblogged that pill about having interests I just don’t talk about? Yeah this is one of them. Lol. We’re also watching Zedaph’s new solo create mod series 😌

Last Movie: Beetlejuice (1988) for my brothers birthday, it was just as silly and fun as I remembered!

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: yes. I think my general go-to is, Sweet breads, Spicy Noodles/Meats and Savory Veggies…. But I couldn’t pick just one over the others 🤔 I could MAYBE drop Savory for a sweet/spicy in S-tier tho

Relationship Status: Poly, married (commitment/ceremony only can’t legally marry where I live), and not super fussed (personally) about finding more dates/people to add to it. I can’t even joke about needing a sugar daddy I’m just not cut out for that I’m too aro-ace

Current Obsession: U h….. being alive. Jkjk I just chewed through all the available chapters of Greatest real Estate Developer, it took me a while to suck up and read ‘the popular thing’ cos i thought it was gonna be like other infinite power up fantasy Story-Book Isekai’s but it’s actually really charming- the artist, adaptor, AND author are all having a really good time working on the series from the ‘extras’ they posted and the expressions are………. Well if I ever get around to posing the stuff I have in mind you’ll see the influences I’m sure. 🫣 …. Also I’m still super obsessed with FFXIV and all my blorbs- rn the spotlight is flickering a lil tho cos I gotta clench my jaw and just take the time to do some work in blender instead of playing the game and spinning the camera real fast around my beans cos my beans are still BROKEN lol. I gotta find a way to update Lev’s skin and Mochiie needs to be rebuilt from the ground floor still basically.
