My very first sourdough loaf of bread and a total masterpiece of wabi-sabi πŸ™ŒπŸΌ. Yes I know it has waaaayy too much of flour on the top, yes it’s really wonky and ugly and I really thought I screwed it up. I left it to proof overnight (last step before baking πŸ‘πŸΌ) and my fridge decided to not work properly, so this morning I woke up all excited to bake my first ever loaf, after spending all day yesterday going through all those prep steps and I opened the fridge and the dough was almost dripping off the dish I left it in πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜¬. So yes I thought I definitely f***ed it up. So I panicked dunked it to the pot and started baking ASAP, because I thought it couldn’t wait any longer, as I was sure it over-fermented. Went to meditate and it was the best 30 mins concentrating on the delicious smell of my home bakery ☺️. At that time I couldn’t care less if it turned out well or not, it was worth it only for the smell 😊. And I was wrong, it turned out pretty delicious, maybe not as airy and fluffy as the ones from the bakery, but nice start for sure! And I loved the process soo bloody much!! It just works amazingly well with my philosophy of slow living... it’s definitely the slowest what you can cook or bake! @thetasteofhomeblog you were totally right, it’s a pure joy ✨! @astonsbread - your starter and flour, which I’ve got in @growingcommunities made this magic happen! Here's a really short video demo of paschimottanasana - seated forward bend. I used to hate this pose with a passion because my hamstrings have always been relatively tight. But let go of the idea that your legs must be straight, work on moving from your core as opposed to always trying to bend from the hips or chin or neck first and it feels great and is far less likely to cause injury. So...bend your knees and bring your torso towards your bent thighs. Then, lean slightly back and round out your thoracic slightly WITHOUT tensing your abs (your rectus abs are your bending forward muscles). Berry Coconut Smoothie.......One cup coconut milk, 1/4 cup cashews, 1/4 cup frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup blueberries, 2 tablespoon sweetner(I use honey. Not vegan but I prefer it than agave. I really need to get a maple syrup link. It's so cheap in Canada.) Blueberries ward off heart disease. Filled with fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin c, vitamin b6 and phytonutrient all of which supports heart health. They help to maintain healthy bones, one of the highest antioxidant foods, they reduce dna damage, protect against aging and cancer. They Maintain brain function and improve memory. Blueberries are are excellent for repairing muscle damage after strenuous exercise as they help to reduce inflammation so they are also great for arthritis and joint pains. As I am still on and off my detox since the end of 2018 (when my digestion collapsed completely), so I can't really share much of the delicious, gorgeous looking plates as I mostly eat raw or really simple boring mono meals. But today is the first day after 3 days juice cleanse followed by 6 days of fruits / veggies / greens / with a bit of nuts detox so for my lunch I cooked healthy delicious lentils with spinach, roasted Jerusalem artichokes, and sweet potatoes with exceptionally yummy sauce following the recipe of the meal which we enjoyed for our Xmas lunch not that long ago (in the picture). But I did not have any aubergine, but plenty of root veggies and was really craving for some lentils. So I improvised and it turned out really yummy.
