pain sigils
i asked if anyone would be interested over on my cpunk blog and i finally got around to it
heres some sigils i made!
Tumblr media
[id: an image of writing from a journal, two sigil designs one with more detailed lines on the inside with "healing" written in pencil to the right of it and "my pain is lessened and my spoons are refilled" in ink below it, the other sigil more styled and rounded with "soothing" written in pencil beside it and "my chronic pain does not hinder" in ink below it. :end id]
first sigil is made with healing intent, lessening pain and refilling your drawer of spoons for the day. the other sigil is written with soothing intent, calming and helping chronic pain be more manageable rather than getting in the way of your mobility and functions.
these will not make your pain disappear completely but are rather there to help relax and give piece of mind.
you do not have to be a witch to use sigils! these are free use to anyone!

Sigil Magic
Symbols are the language of our subconscious mind. They have great magical power and are used in many rituals. A sigil is a coded image of our desire, embedded in the subconscious. By creating a sigil, we give our desire a certain structure, charge it with power — and start the fulfillment process.
Seance of Magic:
There are literally dozens of traditional ways to practice sigil magic now, and anyone can easily come up with another dozen symbols. Come to think of it — absolutely each one of them will work!
The main thing is to follow four simple rules in the process of this fun magic:
✶ First, you know exactly what you want.
✶ Second, you assert your will to get it, focusing as hard as you can on the result you want.
✶ Third, you create a magical seal that will do just that.
✶ And last (but not least!) is you must keep silent about what you have desired.
Enchanting:
✶ First of all, you should define your wish. It should be very clear and be contained in a single brief sentence. You must present it so vividly, as if it were not a wish, but a specific intention.
✶ Next, you should create a sigil. It can be a monogram or a mantra that you create on your own.
To create a monogram, write down the wish, remove all the repeating letters and make any figure out of those remaining: the letters can be inscribed into one another, placed on top of each other, or add pictures to them. Remember that this is your magical seal and you are free to do whatever you want while creating it.
✶ A mantra is created in the same way, only the remaining letters are transformed into a meaningless phrase or word that you chant throughout the day.
✶ Once your sigil has been ready, it must be charged. This can be achieved through meditation (detachment from the wish) or visualization (maximum focus on the wish).
✶ The process starts! After performing the ritual, it is necessary to pull away from your desire, to forget about it for a while. In order to do so, the most common practice is to use laughter — get distracted with a joke or watch a comedy.
Useful Tips:
✶ If you wish for something lasting and as a rule intangible, such as self-confidence or health, it is better to put the sigil in a place that you can easily observe. Where your wish comes into your life once (a new car, job promotion), after visualization you should hide the sigil and try to forget about the wish for a long time.
✶ You can practice making sigils and supplementing or transforming them as you specify your wish.
✶ You can also include your loved ones in this practice and share the symbols you have created without revealing their meaning. Since you receive a useless symbol this way, forgetting about it (thereby kick starting its implementation program) will be easier.
✶ To improve the result, we recommend adding the symbol of the respective planet to your sigils:
Sun ☉ — success and fulfillment of wishes.
Moon ☽ — enhanced intuition, emotions.
Mercury ☿ — communication, knowledge, advertising.
Venus ♀ — harmony, beauty, love, material possessions.
Mars ♂ — leadership, initiative, physical strength.
Jupiter ♃ — good luck, growth, education, faith.
Saturn ♄ — protection, support, rewards or karmic work.
Uranus ♅ — freedom, innovation.
Neptune ♆ — creativity.
Pluto ♇— important changes, transformation.

Since this is a good space to go on and talk for a long time, i wanted to discuss my pieces for Art Fair 14C today.
The orange:
These three pieces are rooted deeply in eco-brutalism. The venom-like orange drips menacing and foreboding, equal parts inspired by soviet brutalist architecture and the chaos magic practice of sigil crafting.
The urge to create a symbol that manifests something into reality, a sign that MEANS SOMETHING, while not universal, is a common desire. It is a practice that, I personally feel helps me to connect to the past while planning for my future.
Many people find brutalist architecture to be boring, ugly, an eyesore. There will be photos of blank, featureless soviet buildings, with no inhabitants or surroundings, and all anyone can say is, oh, how ugly. However, to me, these don't exist in a vacuum. A granny will put a flowerbox on her balcony. Another neighbor will hang up the laundry to dry. Maybe you'll get moss or some green climbing thing growing. Maybe some seeds will take root in the cracks of the cheap, shoddily made concrete. People will be born there, live there, die there, and the echoes of their laughter and the stains of their tears will color the walls and the stairwells.
I felt the urge to bring brutalist architecture and chaos magic mysticism together, to symbolize that no matter how far forward we will push, how far away we will go from the organic shapes and colors of life, we will always feel the urge to look up at the sky to make a wish on a shooting star, to influence the world around us, to make a connection with a higher consciousness, to take a physical step toward making our dreams come alive.
I also was visually inspired by apocalyptic scenes, especially those from 90s anime and manga, where skeletons of ruined buildings rise up from dust and the abyss. Think X/1999, Evangelion, the Legend of Basara, or even more modern examples such as the gorgeous ruins in My Time at Portia.
The greenery also is meant to bring forth the organic, the natural, the growth and healing and our origins. The trees, the forests, the orchards. The things that grow, an easy and clear symbol of things that come from the earth.
Titles
The titles are jamais vu (a volatile system), deja vu (blood and apricots), and presque vu (the stars are afraid of you)
The titles are a two part equation - one half deals with the common human experience of unreliable nature of memory and the other half, with the much awaited apocalypse.
Jamais Vu (as you Disco Elysium folks may know) is the sensation of encountering a place /situation/moment you have lived through previously, and yet having no memory of it.
Deja Vu, the most easily explained, is the sensation of having been here before, though you have never been here previously.
Presque Vu is the sensation of almost, but never, remember what it is you've forgotten. It's at the tip of your tongue, you can almost taste it, but it just isn't coming to you.
These feelings have been experienced by every human who has lived, and every human who will come after.
The secondary parts of each title come from a certain conversation 🦗from the end of Disco Elysium. It is a conversation that discusses the end times.
Also - how many apocalypses have we humans lived through? Our worlds have ended a thousand times over. Yet here we still are, and here we'll remain.
During the process of coming up with the names of these pieces, I definitely had at least an hour long meltdown over what direction to take them in, so Uhh shout out to my Disco buds who were there for me in my darkest hour, when I actually had to name something.
I wanted to bring a bit of Disco to these pieces, because Disco has brought a bit of Disco into me.
The colors:
A soft sky blue, labeled at the store as "Aztec blue". So many native cultures, slaughtered in the name of expansion of empires and growth of wealth, and now in the paint aisle at the hardware store. It's a little weird. The blue was the prefect shade though, for what I wanted out of this.
Multichrome and metallic blues add dimension to an otherwise flat sky
The greens... I used about 10-15 different acrylic paints in various shades to create the depth and dimension of the leaves.
Orange - neon, vivid, acidic, venomous, vibrant, violent. The antithesis of a natural color. Glows ominously under blue lights.
All together
Together these pieces are a visualization of the past, present, and future of humanity. It contains the roots of our past, the promise of future apocalypses brought on by our own actions, and a hope for a future that we can build to our own imagination. It's a discussion of the unreliability of our memory, and the common things that bind us together.
If you have any questions let me know! Thanks for checking out my work!

Herbal Limpia
There are many ways to perform a limpia, such as the methods I have shared on my blog before. This is another method that I know of. I have been taught these, and here, you can learn from me. Know that all limpias are simply different paths to the same destination.
Performing a limpia is a two person job. it requires cooperation and coordination, as well as trust. However, it does require firm boundaries as every limpia requires some level of either physical or spiritual contact. Be firm, and let your partner know what you are and aren't comfortable with.
The Ritual:
You will need: • A bundle of fresh herbs 1-2 feet in length Rosemary, rue, mugwort, sage, or basil are wonderful for limpias. I typically go into my garden and pick the herbs intuitively, leaving an offering of tobacco or oregano for permission. • An outdoor space • Optionally, copal incense and mezcal
The herbs are used to absorb and transmute the negative energies. The bundle is not like a traditional herbal bundle you purchase from a store. In fact, it is more akin to a bouquet. You may make it as simple or ornate as you like. I typically tie my bundle together with a red ribbon. You beat the client with the bundle, and not lightly may I add. You beat them all over their body with the bundle, head to toe; front and back, as if you are brushing all the negativity out of their aura and body. You may say a small limpia prayer or mantra during this process, or simply enjoy the silence. The intention of this is to bring the spirit back to their body.
Sacred copal is used to purify the mind, body, and spirit. The white smoke of copal perfectly captures its purpose: to turn bad into good; to replenish; to cleanse. It has been used for thousands of years, and should be treated with respect and reverence. Source it ethically, and, if you can you should collect it yourself.
Mezcal alcohol is an alcohol derived from the agave plant. It is grounding. Therefore, it aids in returning the spirit back to the body. It also aids in cleansing and purifying the body. It is typically sprayed from the mouth of the curandero onto the heart, head, abdomen, and appendages. It is an intimate practice. Typically you spray it under their shirt, with permission of course.
And finally, gratitude. The curandero must give thanks throughout the limpia. Give thanks to mother earth and father sky. Give thanks to the ancestors. Give thanks to the allies and tools that aided in the limpia. Give thanks to God, Jesus, and Mary. The participant must give thanks too, often by giving a small gift to the curandero such as copal, tobacco, or mezcal.
Remember, curanderismo is healing magic. Do not treat it as anything else.

Angeal & Sephiroth vs. Masamune
Extra: Ep.1 Swordsmith Masamune
Something I really love about Masamune's attack is that for a short moment, it turns the fight into a Kurosawa movie.

SCOM Micro Writing Notes: Guilt.
There's a lot of guilt explored in SCOM. Obviously, Hunter has his own guilt of his past under Belos -- but he also experiences the guilt of those around him.
Tumblr media
With the Sigil Sickness becoming more of a concern, Hunter has to accept the fact that he branded witches under Belos -- and this led to families losing their loved ones.
Hettie is problematic in so many ways -- and even though she has a loving family, including a nephew who adores her -- Bettie implies that sometimes even those you love choose paths that make it VERY difficult for you to love them.
It's fair to assume that while Bettie (and likely her siblings) LOVE Hettie, they struggle with liking her.
In general, she has been one of the most fun background characters to write and I kind of love her family. That's about as close to OC's as I am going to get attached to.
In an earlier chapter, Hettie mentioned that not only did she have a hand in the beginnings of the Basilisk Experiments, but the "perfection" of the Sigil. She admits that there shouldn't BE a Sigil Sickness -- but her research is the reason that Bettie lost her husband (Bennie's Dad), and why the Cutburn Matriarch (The siblings mother) passed.
She may lack tact and a TON of self awareness, but it's safe to say that Hettie -- who in spite of turning her back on Hunter as an abused child soldier -- LOVES her nephew. It's safe to say she holds guilt to what she's done if even only as to how it directly affected her own kin.
And then there's Darius.

And Now...for Something different
Tumblr media
Hey there, magical misfits and word weavers!
Guess who's conjuring up something wickedly wonderful? That's right—this witch is stirring her cauldron and launching a brand-new blog! 🧹✨
If you've ever pondered the mysteries of the universe between sips of chamomile tea, or found yourself debating the merits of ancient rituals versus modern practices (while your candles burn down to stubs), then boy, do I have a treat for you! After the cut lovelies!
Tumblr media
Over the years, I've danced with Hekate under the moonlight, delved into the Greek Magical Papyri, and even sprinkled in a dash of my mother's Indian folk wisdom for good measure. I've wrestled with the commodification of the Craft (looking at you, overpriced crystal sellers) and embraced the beautiful complexity where science and witchcraft intertwine like ivy and oak.
So what's brewing on the new blog?
Magical Musings: Where I'll spill the enchanted beans on everything from historical witchy wonders to my latest thoughts on decolonizing our practices. Prepare for deep dives—with a splash of cheeky commentary, of course.
Reverent Rituals: Step into my sacred space as I share personal rituals and spells that are potent yet accessible—no unicorn tears or dragon scales required.
Purpose & Practice: Let's get down to the nitty-gritty of building a meaningful Craft without selling your soul (or your savings) for fancy tools. It's all about intent, baby!
Shadows & Selfsame: Join me on a journey through shadow work and self-exploration. Because even witches need to face their inner goblins.
Chosen Circle: A curated collection of resources, community shout-outs, and maybe a cat meme or two. Connection is magic, after all.
I care deeply about this path we're walking—respecting its roots, challenging the fluff, and finding that sweet spot where tradition and personal growth meet. If you're ready to explore the Craft with a dash of humor and a whole lot of heart, come fly with me!
So grab your broomsticks and let's embark on this enchanted adventure together. Trust me, it's going to be spellbinding. 🔮 https://www.tumblr.com/teaandbroomstickscafe

GARLIC / ONION BINDRUNE
Inspired by the laukaR inscription on the Fløksand meat knife. One of laukaR's meanings is garlic or onion, represented here by the rounded, inverted ᛟ (othala) rune. I sometimes draw this bindrune on the packaging of medicine or other things consumed while sick as it represents healing power of resting at home, a hearty broth and plants.
If you use, please tag me…I wanna see~
Buy me a coffee or commission yer own bindrune/sigil here~

"Our bond is severed." - A sigil to end your relationship with another person and to stop feeling connected to them.
I would recommend black as the color and burning as the casting method - write the name of whoever it is you wish to end your connection with next to the sigil and cast it into the flames. Like your relationship, it will crumble into ashes and be left behind. You could cast this in other ways if you like, I just think fire may be the most effective for this one's intent.
[Backstory + more explanation under the cut]
A few years ago I cut contact completely with my mother. It was a very big decision and very important for me - I formally went to her and told her in no uncertain terms that I wanted nothing to do with her anymore. Afterward I stayed with a friend, and some other friends came over, and we had a campfire in their backyard, and while we were all there hanging out around the fire I created this sigil and burned it. It was altogether a very emotional day and a very cathartic experience - the amount of relief I felt was intense.
🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮
I feel like this one deserves a bit of backstory.
I wish I could say that was the last time I ever had to interact with my mother, but it wasn't. However, it was the last time I felt like I had to give a shit about her expectations of me, and it was the start of the rest of my life. This sigil was my way of sealing the deal when I cut her out of my life - it meant that I no longer had to feel connected to her in any capacity. I had already taken all the practical steps to no longer have her be a physical presence in my life. This was my way of helping myself adjust to a life without her in it, a life I had wanted for many years.
So - this sigil is not necessarily designed to repel a person or keep them out of your life, although it may well accomplish that. Rather, the specific focus is on the relationship and the emotional connection that you have with a person coming to an end. It is particularly useful if you have already ended your relationship or interactions with another person but still feel hung up on them and need to move on. I don't know if this would impact how the other person feels about your relationship - but it will help you. Depending on your circumstances I'd recommend pairing this with other magic for more specific goals, in addition to whatever practical steps need to be taken. In a way this is ultimately a sigil for emotional healing.
I hope it can help you, if you choose to use it. Thank you 🌟
