Hinny 💍 - The One With No Voldy and Where Everyone Lives

AU, where Harry happens to hear a conversation between his grandfather, Fleamont Potter, and his father, James. Fleamont, who has been looking weaker by the day, tells his son he knows his and Euphemia's time is coming to an end, and his only regret is not being able to witness Harry grow up and get married. This bothers Harry, and while on a playdate at the Burrow, he confides in Ginny, who responds as if it were the most obvious solution: "Then let's get married."

They persuade their families to arrange a gathering, and they con the Weasley brothers into decorating the backyard. Ron stands by Harry's side as his best man, while Luna is Ginny's bridesmaid. All it took was one look from Harry and Ginny to convince Sirius to turn into Padfoot to be their ring bearer/flower girl; his outfit consisted of a bowtie and a tutu (James, Remus, Gideon, and Fabian nearly fell off their chairs laughing so hard).

They made each other's wedding rings. Harry's ring was made from the metal from his grandma's old Auror badge (which Euphemia gave to her willingly) and the very first snitch he caught for the first time and gifted to her. Ginny convinced Fabian and Gideon to transform into a ring. Ginny's ring was made of her favorite green bubble gum (that was suspiciously similar to Harry's eye color) and twigs of their broomsticks as the band, which Harry convinced his dad and Sirius to smooth out and place an unbreakable charm on with an auto-replenishing charm on the bubble gum.

They both dressed themselves for the occasion, and Harry asked his mom and godmother Marlene to help him pick flowers for Ginny's bouquet. He smelled each one and was very picky persistent it had to smell like Ginny's hair. It took Harry HOURS until he was finally satisfied with the arrangement. Molly volunteered to make their wedding cake, and a few days before the wedding, Ginny told her dad in a very grown-up tone to wear a bowtie because he was walking her down the aisle on Sunday. Hinny asked Hagrid to marry them, and when it was time to kiss the bride, Harry was just about to protest/lecture Hagrid about how he should have asked Ginny for her consent instead of giving him permission "to kiss the bride" (the boy was Lily Potter's son and a true feminist at heart), when Ginny pulled Harry down and gave Harry a big kiss on the lips. The kid was frozen for a solid minute and then couldn't stop smiling as he followed his 'wife' around all day.

They made Fleamont and Euphemia's wishes come true.

Then, 16 years later, they got married again.

Little insight on me: I was just talking over the phone with my crush for about 2 and a half hours

This idea brings me to Weasley sexualities.

Molly: Thought she was bi in her Hogwarts years, fooled around with Andromeda, was straight eventually

THE MARAUDERS ERA SIBLINGS

As someone with 5 younger siblings, I refuse to believe that the marauders era characters were almost all only children.

So may i present, MY SIBLING HCS FOR THEM!!!

James- Defo an only child, spoilt rotten and couldnt do anything wrong in his parants eyes. Monty and Effie had him relitively old too, like probably early-mid 40s. Defo a planned baby, they were probs trying for a while but it didnt work so they started to think that they waited too late, so james was like a miricle to them.

Sirius/Regulus- Obviously theyre brothers, feel like they were planned but unwanted. Like, walburga was betrothed to orion, who was lot older than her btw, and they had to consumate their marrage right away, so i feel like sirius was consieved on their wedding night. Walburga wouldve been 13-16 at the time, and orion wouldve been 25-32. Feel like they had another pregnancy right before regulus but it miscarried early on, so when regulus was consived they just pretended that it was the same one. Regulus wouldve been consieved very shortly after sirius bc theyd like as many heirs as possible, like the rest of their family. They wouldve been all disapointed when he was born a girl and i think he wouldve been a difficult pregnency too. After that they wouldve tried again, and had multiple miscarriges before they finally stopped trying.

Remus- Hope and Lyall wanted more kids after remus, but instead they decided that after remus was bitten it woud just be too difficut and not fair on the other kid or remus to be in that situation.

if we're going with the theory that remus was put up for adoption or somthing bc his parants either died or couldnt take him, then i reckon hed have a younger half sister, about 7 years younger than him, and two younger half-brothers, roughly 5 and 9 years younger than him. But either way i feel like hope and lyall had remus young, at like 18 or 20. Defo wasnt planned.

Peter- Peter would've had an older brother by about 10yrs i think. He doesnt see him anymore and hes THAT family member that the rest refuse to talk about for some reason. feel like he also has a 3 years older sister who he was close with, but died in the 1st war a while b4 he betrayed everyone. his brother wouldve been unplanned and his parants wouldve had him at about 21-24. Peter and his sister were both planed tho.

Mary- Girl has a LOT of siblings. Feel like shes a middle child, but the only witch in the family. Has about 6-8 siblings maybe, her being directly in the middle of them all, and also being a bit overlooked bc shes not always home and lives at a bording school, unlike the others who get public school. think she wouldve been rlly close w the youngest sibling before she started hogwarts, but then she started missing them growing up, so they ended up getting distanced. The oldest of her siblings wouldve been unplanned, but after that her parants just decided to go for it and keep having more. They all wouldve been in a relitively cramped flat in south london, probably with their parants in one room, the two oldest kids in another room, three middle kids in another room, and two youngest in a seperate one.

Lily- Honestly i can see it very well how it is, cannon compliant with her and petunia. Feel like they were both planned, and had a pretty mainstream and nuclear family.

Marlene- BROTHERS. Shes the youngest and only girl out of all of her siblings. She has one older brother by about 3-4 years, and then she also has about 3 or 4 older step-brothers from 6-10 years older than her. She was planned, and her parants originally wanted to have more kids after her, but they ended up splitting.

Dorcas- Feel like shes an only child tbh. Possibly has a younger sister, but she would be about 12 years younger than her or something. Would probs still be in hogwarts when dorcas died. Both would've been unplanned, but kept anyway.

Barty- Every ounce of bartys being just screams only child. He was planned, (and regretted) and his mum wanted one more kid after him and close in age, but his dad didnt want any more, so his mum just decided to use the "perfect on 1st try" phrase all the time. Think his parants wouldve been about 27-29 when they had him.

Evan/Pandora- ROSIER TWINS, OBVIOUSLY. They were planned babies, but i hc that their mum died in childbirth, so their dad raised them alone for about 3yrs, before he started dating and eventually married another woman, their step-mum. And about a 7-10 year age gap later, they had their little half-brother Felix. Evan liked him, but pandora LOVED him, and a few parts of him reminded her of regulus too. Felix was defo planned as well.

Brief bonuses

Alice- Has a younger brother and sister. Her brothers about 2 years younger than her, her sisters about 5 years younger. Her and her brother were planned, her sister was not.

Frank- Has a brother one year younger than him, both were planned.

Xeno- Has a brother 12 years older than him. His brother was planned, but he was not.

Molly/Gideon/Fabian- Gideon and Fabian were older than molly and both unplanned, and would always tease her. The twins were about 2 years older, and molly was also unplanned.

UNEXPECTED BONUS

Minnie- Idk why, but i feel like she had a twin sister that died unexpectedly young. Take that how u will.

James grew his hair out for Lily, and she’d always put little French braids in it before bed so he’d have curly hair in the morning (he went around telling people that he took a potion his father made that magically made his hair curly (remus didn’t let that rumor last long before dunking James’s head into water and let everyone watch as his hair dried curl-less))

When James and Lily got married Sirius asked to be a flower girl at their wedding as a joke and to his surprise Lily was the one who said yes (not James because he wanted Sirius to be best man) so then remus got elected best man and they let Sirius walk down the Isle with Fabian’s daughter Alleen.

When the preacher said “speak now or forever hold your peace” remus activity stared down everyone of their friends knowing damn well they’d try that shit as a joke, just for Lily to say “Well… Remus is pretty fit” and obviously that causes a uproar (jokingly) and Remus laughing alongside the rest of them just for James to pop up with “I know right, Almost went for him in 4th year” which left everyone bursting in laughter but him. Which led him to say “kiss your god damn wife potter”

When Wiloa was little they would sneak away with their uncles to OOTP meetings and Lily would always find them, so they’d have to pull them off and lecture them about how they can’t hide away here because they could get hurt. But after a while, gave in and let them stay. Soon enough James found them and he’d always sneak them off and back home because he understood what it was like to be curious at a young age and how dangerous curiosity could be. But basically Wiloa was Jily’s practice child.

Lily would always show James muggle things. When they moved in together he stood flicking the ceiling fan on and off for about 30 minutes (while Lily recorded him like he was a cat) James had 100% become accustomed to muggle life, and at some points entirely forgot he was a wizard. (He got really excited when he remembered he was magic and could turn into a fucking deer)

James tried helping Lily become an Animagus but she couldn’t keep the leaf in her mouth past two days so she eventually just spit it out and told James “look I give up, as long as you don’t turn into a fucking elk while we’re fucking I’m good” and james’s only response was “I’m a DEAR darling get it right” in a posh mid-Atlantic accent.

When James proposed Lily made a joke about him preposing before she KNEW he was proposing so it went something like this

“Lillian, I really need to ask you something” James asked with a cherishing smile

“James, darling you can ask me anything as long as you don’t propose” She joked

She then turned around to see the look of utter shock and hurt in his eyes. And realized. He was going to propose.

“No, no, no. I didn’t say anything, what were you asking? I’ll turn back around!”

She then turned back around with a static giggle bouncing through her bones. He knew she loved him.

“Lillian,” he said while grabbing her arm and turning her around gently “My darling, you’ve made me the happiest man on earth. And I know it’s the most cliche thing to say, but my words have never heard more truth than this. I can’t bare the thought of life without the light of your eyes shining in mine. I can’t stand mornings after without your sweet touch curled next to mine. And I’ll never see another gorgeous evening like this again if your gracing beauty isn’t touching it. So Please, Lillian Jane Evans, Will you marry me? And be my wife, and I’ll be yours”

The first thing she could do was fall into his arms, and his warm gentle kiss. Tears flowed down her eyes and he placed the ring on her finger.

“Shit!” James Said unexpectedly “I forgot to get down on one fucking knee”

Lily giggle at her new found fiancé, he could be a stupid man, but he was HER stupid man.

“So, you’ll be my wife” Lily said excitedly

“What?!” James burst out laughing

“Well you said ‘be my wife, and I’ll be yours’ so I assume you’ll be my wife, correct?”

And with those words, James knew he chose the right woman.

3. Obscure headcanon

bill’s coming of age watch is a prewett family heirloom, engraved with a handsome letter P with the family crest, given to molly by muriel for his seventeenth. he’s the only one of his brothers not to receive a new watch (as the eldest child, he didn’t have the same set of resentments about secondhand things as his the younger siblings). muriel is so attached to bill partly because he is the sibling who took most interest in the prewett side of the family, and she was clear she wanted her own father’s watch to go to bill when he turned seventeen. he wears the watch less out of real fondness for muriel than as a symbol of fabian and gideon (see below for more on this!) and of the memory of the last of the prewetts that he carries around with him every day.

8. Unpopular opinion about them

bill let fleur and his family down big time in hbp. dumping his fiancé at his family home and leaving her to fend for herself day in day out while he went to work — unhinged decision making, and kind of selfish imo. it was an arrangement that suited him, and makes sense for bill’s priorities - he sincerely wants his future wife and his family to be really close. but he went about it horribly and these living arrangements made the fleur vs the family beef wildly worse. moving in with your partner’s family - tough! having your son/brother’s girlfriend live with you when she’s blunt and outspoken and rude about your house/life/food/family friends — also tough! bill did nothing to help those tensions, just came home from work, did some weird pda in the kitchen, and washed his hands of the situation. not a good look, king!

37. What they really think of themselves

i think bill thinks of himself consciously as the leader and protector of the family, a role he enjoys and takes really seriously, the most important job in his life that only grows in significance after he becomes a father himself and has children of his own. he thinks about the legacy of fabian and gideon a lot. their deaths were really formative for him: he remembers his uncles quite clearly, and knows how profoundly their deaths changed his mother’s life and her own parenting to his younger siblings (it’s so important that molly is a bereaved person from the moment she enters the canon text! her boggart isn’t irrational or paranoid or wildly hypothetical, after all — she knows the experience of familial loss in war all too well). after the summer of 1995, bill leaves egypt immediately feeling very much like he is answering a call of duty to his family set in motion when his uncles were murdered. i reckon he argues with charlie about his decision to stay in romania and serve the order from afar, and that bill doesn’t get why charlie doesn’t feel the same sense of responsibility to the family as he does. in that way, bill recognises that he himself is more like percy in his solemn sense of duty, though his loyalty is to his family as an institution, rather than the ministry.

Prewett twins hc bc I need more of them

-identical twins (i know in cannon they’re brothers but it’s better this way)

-Fabian’s older by seven minuets

-Gideon was the more serious of the two, but they’re energies bounced off each other well

-Identical but never had to play it up, Gideon’s hair was longer, Fabian always wore a million bracelets, small things that made them different

-still completed sentences and had mental conversations ( magical twins)

-Absolute menaces to ‘Little Mol-Molls’

Gryphindors(they tried to take death eaters in a 5v2 ofc they’re gryphindors)

-Gideon was gay, Fabian straight, they constantly teased one another about it

-about once a year for three years in a row they would get into a real fight around Easter , this was so predictable they faked having it for two years after on easter

-called each other ‘gid’ and “fay’

-Bill and Percy’s favorite uncle was Gideon, Charlie’s was Fabian, the rest don’t remember the two of them

-Menaces at Hogwarts as well, but only did large scale pranks

-the reason magic carpets are banned in magical Brittan (never proven guilty)

-Pranks included: making everyone wake up in different beds in different house dormitories, stealing the house points hourglass, sending 100 letters to professor mcgonagall from the owlery at breakfast (banned for the rest of the term), making Flitwicks toupee dance, anti-gravity spells in corridors, hosting toboggan races down the moving stairs, inter-house after dark quidditch games that sadly didn’t nt carry over as there were a lot more racists in new generations, taking aging potion and sitting at the staff table, replacing Binns and HoM teacher (lesson was excellent 10/10), trying to enchant the sorting hat to put kids in house prewett and turn their hair ginger, ACTUALLY SUCCEEDED AND ARTHER NEVER DID MANAGE TO GET HIS HAIR BACK TO BROWN, replacing owls in owlery with tropical birds trained to deliver letters (only went wrong when a staff member who’s owl was already out tried to use one), making Molly’s birthday a school-wide event, spiking the pumpkin juice with various harmless potions for fun, switching quidditch robe colors while players were playing to sow confusion, once banned from quidditch stealing the cup, charming the oldest crustiest brooms to look like their owners and stitching them out, stealing every single chair in the entire building and the sequel, stealing every table in the castle, enchanting cockatrice to play marching band, chanting the lyrics of the schools song, ‘general mischief ’,

-played chaser (rip the third guy)

-Gid had a dragon tattoo among others on his arm,

What do you think about the headcannon of Percy being a Prewett instead of a Weasley?

Context: During the first war the Prewett twins, Gideon and Fabian were in a safe house with five other adults. Molly was somewhere else.

Anyways one of them (I picture Fabian but it doesn’t matter which) had a short thing with one of the others there and eventually lead to them becoming pregnant. A couple months later baby Percy is born but his mother dies from the childbirth, since giving birth in a dingy old house, cut of from the rest of the world, in the middle of nowhere, with no medical equipment and no one with any proper medical training is not the best thing ever.

Percy grows up in the safe house with them, with no one to visit them, except a few Order members who come to give updates on the war. Molly and Arthur don’t even know Percy exists.

When Percy is five, death eaters storm the safe house.

He’s the only one to make it out alive.

He’s also too young to clearly remember much, so not wanting him to go through the grief of growing up without parents, Molly and Arthur decide to adopt him. Also, unrelated but Percy is about 3 years younger than Charlie and about 5 years younger than Bill.

*rubs hands together excitedly* I have a lot of thoughts about this, so get ready for a long rant.

Do I think it's canon? Probably not. JKR has a nasty tendency to make it very clear when someone is part of a found family (instead of just writing them as family).

What do I mean by that? Well, one example is the Epilogue:

“Our Teddy! Teddy Lupin! Snogging our Victoire! Our cousin! And I asked Teddy what he was doing— ” “You interrupted them?” said Ginny. “You are so like Ron— ” “— and he said he’d come to see her off! And then he told me to go away! He’s snogging her!” James added as though worried he had not made himself clear. “Oh, it would be lovely if they got married,” whispered Lily ecstatically. “Teddy would really be part of the family then!” “He already comes round for dinner about four times a week, said Harry. “Why don’t we just invite him to live with us and have done with it?”

I know Lily is a child, but JKR wrote a pattern of people "needing" to marry someone to officially be part of the family (such as Harry marrying Ginny & Hermione marrying Ron).

Because of this, even if Percy was Molly & Arthur's nephew, I still think JKR would have made that obvious in the books at some point.

Even if Percy was 5 when he moved in with Molly & Arthur and didn't remember anything about his life before that (which is possible), Bill is actually closer to 6 years older than Percy, while Charlie is closer to 4, which would make them about 9 & 11 when Percy was adopted. They definitely would have known the truth, and while they may have never said anything about it, it's unlikely that it was a secret that everyone would have been able to keep from Percy indefinitely.

As a result of Percy finding out (at some point), it probably would have come out during/after the argument, because it would have been natural for Percy to have conflicted feelings about it, particularly when Arthur is acting like Percy would betray his own family, and it's likely that someone (Fred, George, Ron, etc.) would have piggybacked off of that afterwards because they were hurt that Percy left.

That being said, Harry is an incredibly unreliable narrator, so it's definitely still possible!

Now, do I personally enjoy the headcanon of Percy being Fabian or Gideon's child? Yes. I think it's a super fun concept to play around with, and it gives a lot more depth to all of Percy's interactions with the Weasleys.

Even if Percy didn't know the truth for a long time, I think he would have subconsciously remembered another parent (because he was 5 when he was adopted), so he probably would have had some confusing feelings that he didn't fully understand and didn't talk about.

It adds layers to Percy's desperation to be accepted by Arthur, Molly's pride in him & her devastation at him disowning the family, his position as the least favorite Weasley, his break from the family unit, etc. I also tend to think Fabian was Percy's father (out of the two brothers), which adds yet another depth to Molly giving Harry Fabian's watch when Percy was away from the family.

It makes some things from canon even sadder for Percy, but I find it fascinating to think about how it fits in with the complex Weasley family dynamic. And even though the Wizarding World is very different from our own, there are plenty of situations in our society where children live with their grandparents/uncles/aunts/etc. (and sometimes that works out well, but sometimes it doesn't).

I would personally love to see a story where Percy learns about his birth family and comes to terms with what it means to him to be a part of the Weasleys (particularly since Molly & Arthur failed Percy in many ways but undoubtedly loved him).

Let me be very clear so that no one misunderstands me: I do not want Percy to "represent" what adoption looks like (nor do I think he does). Every family is unique and different, and I just want to explore Percy's experiences.

However, I do not like the idea of Percy's mother dying in childbirth. I have a strong hatred of the Dead Ladies Club (which I believe was a term started in the A Song of Ice & Fire community, because GRRM has a tendency to kill off all of the mothers in childbirth).

This is not an insult to you, anon. Is it a realistic possibility for the situation you're describing? Absolutely. I just personally would rather his mother not be a part of the picture for other reasons (such as not feeling ready to be a parent or not wanting to be a parent at all, having mental health issues particularly with the war going on, etc.).

Anyway, this went on way too long, but I do enjoy talking about this idea, so thanks for the ask! 😊

My Harry Potter Headcanons ft. The Prewett Twins and Dorcas Meadows (mainly)

Dorcas Meadows was in the same year as the Prewett twins. They were BFFs. Gideon and Dorcas were in Ravenclaw, and Fabian was a Gryffindor.

Gideon and Dorcas became friends after she helped him get away with cursing a kid for implying that Fabian was the dumb twin.

The twins would constantly swapped houses. No one besides Dorcas knew. She realized it in their 4th year and hates that it took her so long to figure it out.

Dorcas asked the twins how come they ended up in different houses. Their constant house-switching proved they were both intelligent enough to be in Ravenclaw (or brave enough to be in Gryffindor). They shrugged and said, "Thought it'd be funny."

When the Prewett Twins + Dorcas are in their 3rd year, Molly Prewett joins her brother Fabian in Gryffindor as a 1st year. 

Arthur Weasley is sorted into Gryffindor in Molly’s 2nd year

Twins + Dorcas are in their 6th year when Frank Longbottom and Alice Smith enter Hogwarts as first years. They’re both in Gryffindor. Alice develops a tiny crush on Fabian after he helps her find her way -- “The attractive 6th year helped me when I was lost and now I'm in love.”

Dorcas is Frank’s idol.  

The Meadows and McKinnons are old family friends. Dorcas and, after she introduced them and they became friends, Fabian (yes, Fabian, the Gryffindor twin) like to raid their library to learn more about the different types of magic. The McKinnon's don't mind. They believe knowledge should be free to anyone and everyone. Gideon has a more practical approach to magic. Besides, Fabian briefs him about everything he learns (and vice versa).

Though it was Marlene’s family that dabbled in obscure magic (dark and light), it was Dorcas who first suspected that Voldemort created horcruxes.

She mentioned it to Dumbledore + the twins. The spy overheard the following convo “I suspect You-Know-Who has done something with his soul.” He couldn’t listen further cuz Remus and Sirius arrived for the Order meeting at that time. After this particular meeting, Order members started dropping like flies.

The fact that Dumbledore suspected Voldemort of dabbling in soul magic made him paranoid. He enhanced the security on the ring and the locket and entrusted the remaining two horcruxes with his most trusted Death Eaters. This paranoia also caused him to seek and believe in prophecies. Eventually leading to his downfall.

Voldemort couldn’t risk anyone else finding out and went to kill Meadows himself. He underestimated her a little. The battle lasted for a while before Voldemort was able to kill her. She never told him any secrets. 

Voldemort would’ve liked to kill the twins himself but unbeknownst to anyone he was injured after his duel with Dorcas. So with Pettigrew’s help, he set up a trap and sent 5 of his best Death Eaters after the twins.

Everyone assumed Gideon was the hot-headed one (in Hogwarts he cursed anyone who implied his siblings were dumb), but out of the two, it was Fabian who lost his temper quicker. The Twins might’ve won if a Death Eater hadn’t cast Sectumsempra and injured Gideon. Fabian lost all rationality + objectivity in his rage, making it relatively easier for Dolohov to kill them.

Nevermind, I am elaborating.

So we all know good old Perfect Prefect Percy.. right? The third born in the family.

So, l'd like to imagine that before Mollys brothers (Who were respectively named Gideon and Fabian Prewett) died in the first Wizarding War, the boys gifted their already born nephews muggle stuffed animals.

Fabian and Gideon would give the toy to each nephew the day they were born.

(Arthur loved the idea)

Charlie got a stuffed green dinosaur.

(Charlie was a huge dinosaur kid, I will expand on that later)

Bill got a stuffed grey lamb.

(Bill would constantly bite the lambs ear until he turned 8)

And little old Percy got a stuffed Teddy Bear.

Percy carried the bear with him everywhere. Molly has had to stitch up that bear more times than she can count.

Percy named the bear Tallyton (See where Ginny learned the weird name ideas from?)

Percy had the toy all throughout his childhood, Hogwarts years, and into adulthood.

Even when he parted ways with his family, he never left the bear behind.

Percy Weasley sleeps with a stuffed bear.

time to nag about my headcanon "Percy has Seer powers" and why that is a great idea

first of all, a little clarification; this isn't common knowledge to the younger siblings. only Arthur, Molly, Bill and Charlie knows. they kept this secret after Fabian and Gideon Prewett died

this implies that they died to protect Percy, who was just this tiny toddler who had absolutely no control over what he could See

the result is to keep his Seer powers secret

some background info; Percy's Seer powers is a rare gift that is apparently passed down from the Black side

Cedrella, aka their paternal grandmother, had it and has taught Percy how to use and control it. that's why Percy had a more closer bond to his granny than the rest of the family.

Arthur did not inherit it, but one of his brothers did. unfortunately, his poor brother is dead (it's not Billius, but someone else cause Arthur had three brothers accourding to the wiki) because he rather die than to let himself being caught by Voldemort and used as a tool.

while he doesn't understand Seer powers too well, Arthur respects it and is trying to be supportive for Percy.

also at a later point, Percy had 1 Bad Incident™ involving his Seer powers and it slightly traumatised him enough to not try to use it again

he takes divination in his third year for two reasons; 1, he also want to achieve 12 NEWTS like Bill. 2, he wants to understand his weird future-seeing power.

Oliver, his roommate (oh my god they were roommates) finds out by accident and keeps nagging him about the future Quidditch match results. Percy refuses cause that's SPOILERS

and now ONTO THE FUN STUFF

Percy can look far into the future, but he settles for the fun stuff

he occassionally makes references to memes and vines

his siblings doesn't understand them at all

at least until they're all adults with families in the future

and they be like "YOU KNEW"

and Percy just smiles innocently even though he absolutely isn't

Harry and Hermione aren't safe from Percy's Seer Shenanigans either

everytime Hermione is working with a crossword, Percy's eyes flashes green for a moment and when he opens his mouth, Hermione hits him with a pillow cause he was about to reveal the answer

Harry asked Percy once if his Seer powers was why Fudge promoted him. Percy simply smiled and said "yes, that was the reason. but the idiot didn't realized that i tricked him all the time and sent him on a wild goose chase."

aaaaand some Ministry shitshow stuff;

HEADCANON TWO; PERCY MADE LIFE SOUR FOR FUDGE AND THE IDIOT NEVER REALIZED IT

ofc Percy would be petty af once he figured out Fudge only wanted him because of his Seer powers. which means the fucker looked at the classified information in his personell file. Percy is obvs mad about that, but it's too late to tell his family about it and he decides to be an absolute menace about it without being caught

"getting caught means that you weren't smart enough to get an escape plan"

Percy takes full offense of being treated like a tool instead of a human with rights

he burns several draft-ups for the "updated law for underage magic" because they're fucking awful and he knows the bastard wants to ruin Harry's education. that also means he would ruin his baby siblings' educations.

he also burnt the suggestion papers about giving Azkaban prisoners the dementor's kiss without trial.

the law suggestions about banning human rights for werewolves, wizard hybrids and squibs also got BURNT INTO ASHES

Percy: I decide the future now. >:)

Scrimgeour makes an early bird appearence cause Fudge can't find the law suggestions anymore and he was the idiot to not keep copies.

after investigating privately, Scrimgeour finds out that Percy burnt them up and this madlad explains why.

suddenly Scrimgeour fully supports Percy and says his late uncles would be proud. bonus: Scrimgeour simply says to Fudge that he can't find things that may be gone forever, it's sadly "lost media" now.

Percy, getting the idea from the twints, orders dragon fertilizer (it's dragon dung lol) subscription from norway's dragon research center and sanctuary and sends it to Umbridge, using her forged signature

he's careful to not get caught, so he looks into the future (a bit at the time, though)

I actually do tend to put most of the Order we see in the photos around the same years, but my headcanon is that there were other older members but they all died by the time that photo was taken because they were trying to protect the younger kids. I like to imagine that Moody is the only surviving older Order member and he had to watch his peers die one by one and then had to watch as so many of those kids they died trying to protect were killed themselves

Soooo. I can see this working if well justified. There is a line that does justify it in canon, actually- "[...] look, I can’t promise no one’s going to get hurt, nobody can promise that, but we’re much better off than we were last time, you weren’t in the Order then, you don’t understand, last time we were outnumbered twenty to one by the Death Eaters and they were picking us off one by one...”

Voldemort would most likely send his Death Eaters after the best and strongest Order members first, even though they were more likely to take down many of his followers- it's not like he didn't have the numbers. BUT I'm afraid it's a little unrealistic. The weakest fighters in a fight to the death are those who get killed first even with protection.

Just for funsies, though, I'll give you my personal headcanon of the Order members' rough ages. I'm usually flexible if they're changed by a couple of years, but the generations should be kept.

Now. The only girl confirmed to be one of Lily's classmates is Mary McDonald and she's not part of the Order (and I choose to believe that she wasn't; she sympathised, maybe, but I like the headcanon that she's so scarred by Mulciber and Avery's bullying - and that the event that Lily references to Severus is not the only time they use Dark Magic on her - that she wants nothing to do with the fight). I am maybe one of the two (2) people with a mild appreciation for BlackKinnon, and I don't mind Marlene as someone in the same age bracket as them (but I can also see her being older). She is murdered along her entire family, though, and it's unclear whether she was a mother, a sister, or a daughter. I will say that some of their Hogwarts years overlapped.

Dorcas I find way less likely. She was killed by Voldemort himself - the man wouldn't have bothered if she wasn't an Amelia Bones-level witch at least, which means she was mighty, which means she most likely wasn't twenty-one. I like to think that she was an Auror, or a Ministry high-ranking employee with sound principles that just would not bend to the infiltration of the DEs in the Ministry or to Barty Crouch Snr's ruthlessness.

Frank and Alice Longbottom are the same, to me. They're older than the Marauders, I would make them (just like Dorcas) around Bellatrix's age, maybe even older. That makes them around 30yrs old in 1981. Which means they would have had a full decade or more to become the most respected Aurors in the Wizarding World, so well known that what happened to them sparked major outrage, the kind that led to a manhunt for their torturers, and the sentencing of a pleading nineteen-year-old boy. (Of course, Barty jr was guilty, but they didn't know that, didn't know just how loyal to Voldemort he truly was. The Lestranges sentencing - an old wizarding family, a Lestrange had even been Minister for Magic - was clearly one sparked by public outrage. People were crying out for their blood.)

The Prewetts were Molly's older brothers, so they were way older than the Marauders. They were also killed by a group of Death Eaters led by Antonin Dolohov after what appears to have been a truly brutal fight, so nope. They weren't the Fred and George types of the Marauders Era (also. the Marauders were that!)

Edgar Bones had a wife and children and was considered to be one of the best of the era, so I doubt he was as young as the Fantastic Four. We really don't know enough about Caradoc Dearborn or Benji Fenwick to say, but I somehow doubt it.

Of those who survived.

We know that Albus, Aberforth, Moody, Elphias Doge, Mundungus, and Arabella Figg are all way older than the Marauders, and I've always pictured Dedalus Diggle as a middle aged man (but we only know he's tiny and excitable, so it could go either way). Sturgis Podmore's description fits someone that could have been in the Marauder's year or maybe slightly older, but still one of their peers.

So, really, the green-faced youths that fought with the Order were: the four Marauders, Lily, maybe Marlene and Emmeline Vance (who isn't even listed as fighting with them in the First War, only the second), and maybe Sturgis Podmore. On the side of the Death Eaters: Avery, Mulciber, Barty Crouch jr (who was two/three years younger than the Marauders!!!), Regulus Black and of course Severus Snape.

And, no. Evan Rosier's age is never disclosed, and since he brutally maims fucking Alastor Moody - possibly the greatest Auror ever - I'm inclined to believe that he was at least Bellatrix's age (so 8-9 years older than the Marauders). In my personal headcanon he's even a tad older - but no less cuntier for it. My boy serves as much cunt at 27 as he did at 17 (<3).
