About me

When did you start writing?

I would say I started writing as soon as I knew how, but I started in earnest in middle school. My sixth grade English teacher was incredibly encouraging of the work I showed her (as were my parents), and that really helped me to feel confident in just keeping going

Are there different genres or themes you enjoy reading other than the ones you write?

Yeah lol. So I write super long fics, but I have OCD and a big part of that is that, as I've gotten older, I struggle to read words on a page with any sort of speed. So I have a lot of trouble reading long form stuff because of the stress it causes. I get around this with original work by listening to audio books, but for fic, there really isn't much I can do about it besides try.

Is there an author you want to emulate, or are compared to often?

Not ever compared to anyone, and I also wouldn't say I emulate anyone in particular. Though for my og works I take inspiration from Samatha Shannon and Madeline Miller in regard to writing style

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

So I can't really work at home, so my space is coffee shops! There is a particular one where I live where the music isn't too loud, the lighting is warm and the tea is fantastic. I wrote my senior thesis there :)

What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?

Ugh, time. When I'm in a rut I'm in a rut and there isn't much I can do about it tbh. Though sometimes if I talk to friends about it for long enough, something comes clear.

If I'm not in a rut, my muses come through music

Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and/or places you write about?

Yes and no. I write high fantasy and horror, so I tend to pull away from where I grew up and go toward places I dream of. However, I write almost exclusively queer stories and that I owe to 1) being queer and 2) growing up in Florida and around queer people like myself whose family/wider community did not support them. Everything I write is a love letter to queer people, especially the ones who have been pushed away for being who they are.

Are there any reoccurring themes in your writing? If so, do they surprise you?

Oh yeah. In both fic and og work I think I write a lot about loss and grief, finding identity, found family and how it heals. I write about people from opposite worlds falling in love or in friendship. I tend to center characters who are other from the world they live in, whether that's because of a physical aspect or an emotional/personality one.

Not surprised at all since those themes come from personal experience and the feelings I have about life and it's meaning

Characters

Would you please tell me about your current favorite character?

This will surprise no one but, Todd! I love him! Probably because it's so easy for me to write the Wraith with one of those themes in mind. I'm obsessed with monsters (I think because of the queerness) and especially how societies in these stories treat them. I love basically forcing Stargate to treat the Wraith as the interesting characters they are.

Todd is so perfect because he's so old and so weird for a Wraith. He's just begging to be put under a microscope. And I do, I do

I'll also say that in my behemoth "Across the Universe," I have several original characters. My fav of them is a character I haven't shown yet, but I've mentioned, and that is Todd's dad. This guy is kind of insane and also my darling. He's got, I guess just as much backstory and baggage as I've given Todd in that fic and (my favorite) a fic-canon altering twist in his arsenal. I also like to pair him with Ronan in my mind palace, which sounds batshit (and is), but you can blame my proclivity for enemies to lovers as trope for that. But that is so far into the future of that universe that it might as well not even exist (FirstLight, the Wraith you are)

Which of your characters would you be friends with in real life?

I would want to be Todd's friend, but I don't think he'd want to be mine lol.

I'd love to be friends with the entire core SGA group but it's a little hard to imagine how.

I think Teyla and I would get along, and I would love to be her friend. Ronan and I might get along too, but I'm not very active, so we wouldn't have many hobbies in common. But I think I could vibe with him in the mess hall.

Same situation for someone like Weir. Not a lot in common.

In my dream world, Sheppard and I would be besties, but I'm not sure he could handle how emotional I get, and I don't know if I could handle how closed off he is. I think the person I would actually get along with most is McKay because, tbh I yap that much too and am also a bit of an insecure mess. I would like listening to him talk about his ideas and I think he would appreciate that.

Of course, I wouldn't be able to get past the war crimes these people commit, so actually none of them haha

Jumping to another fandom: I think Aziraphale and me could be friends. We both like reading and food and I think we could have some fun conversations about literature.

Which characters would you dislike the most of you met them?

Hmm...okay so obviously Kolya.

I love Micheal as a character, but he would terrify me in real life.

Kavanaugh is pretty obvious

I wouldn't want anything to do with a single person from Hannibal in real life. Maybe season 1 Will.

Tell me about the process of coming up with your characters?

Honestly, I couldn't tell you. They spawn out of nowhere as I imagine scenes. I guess they develop that way too. I think about them in the scene, and their personalities and traits reveal themselves to me.

Do you notice any reoccurring themes/traits in your characters?

Oh yeah. They tend to be outcasts, they tend to be queer. They also tend to be magical or have some extra trait to what is typically human. I also really enjoy writing morally grey characters and sympathetic villians

How do you picture your characters?

I can see stuff pretty clearly in my head, but I also use Picrew and Sims to make them sometime

What’s your reason for writing?

It's everything to me. Really, it's nothing specific. My life would be empty without writing. It's my passion.

Is there any specific comment or type of comment from readers that you find particularly motivating?

I love comments that talk about moments from the story they enjoyed. It makes me feel good about my ideas🥰

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

I've never thought about this specifically. I don't know if I want anything really other for them to enjoy it. Maybe in a fantasy, they'd think I was clever or inspiring, but I just want what I write to give people joy.

For my original writing, I do hope that my writing can speak to my queer community.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

I think I'm the best at characters. I like my prose itself (for what it is right now) but I think that my character creation skills, and specifically how they blend into the plot and work with each other, are what I'm doing right the most. World building is also a strength

Have you been told is your greatest strength as a writer is by others?

Characters and world building! Lol

How do you feel about your own writing?

I'm at a place in my life where I don't think I suck. I also don't think I'm the best ever. I think that I can improve and that great is finally a visible goal.

If you were the last person on earth, would you still write?

Yes. I need to write like I need to breath. It would suck to not be able to share it, but that wouldn't stop me from creating.

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, do you write purely for yourself, or is it a mix of both?

Eh I'm not really sure. I think I lean more towards writing for myself. Sometimes I tamp down my ideas if they are something I know wouldn't fit the story (if I'm already writing it) or wouldn't really fit the world as much as I'd like them to.

About me

When did you start writing?

I was was 10 and a deranged little girl so my best friend and I cowrote what I considered to be the most ambitious crossover of all time: a Star Wars/The Beatles/Bleach/Monk/WKRP/The Partridge Family/Corner Gas fanfiction trilogy. It was utterly bananas and at the time of writing we considered it to be our magnum opus. It wasn’t and I believe we destroyed all but one of the “books” when we were about 12 when she visited. I know that one still exists cuz I have it and my brother and I read it when we need a laugh.

Are there different genres or themes you enjoy reading other than the ones you write?

I almost exclusively read nonfiction. I’d love to do that, but I don’t have the attention span. That being said, I am working on a collection of memoirs from my particularly wild youth.

Is there an author you want to emulate, or are compared to often?

I try to be my own person, but my dad tells me my voice is similar to Hunter S Thompson at times in my personal pieces. I can see it.

can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

Currently it’s my bed and my phone/laptop, but I prefer sitting at a desk with a notebook nearby for quick notes. I’ve tried to digitize the secondary note paper, but I’m so boomer pilled apparently that I want to have the physical paper beside me just because I like the flexibility of being able to sketch out mind maps and timelines for lore.

What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?

Watch a show and pick a guy to obsess over for til college

Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and/or places you write about?

Yeah absolutely! I’ve lived in a lot of places and been in a lot of circumstances, so that definitely bleeds into my work. I tend to write what I know, so it’s not uncommon for me to base characters, scenes or scenarios on real people, places and scenarios I’ve encountered.

Are there any reoccurring themes in your writing? If so, do they surprise you?

Yes and yes lmao my recurring themes I find are found family, loneliness, and the moral grey areas in crime and punishment. When I first noticed these recurring themes, I was definitely surprised, but in a way, noticing these themes has really made me learn a lot about myself and how much of my past truly looms over me. Then again, now that I’ve recognised this about myself, I find that I’m able to process everything better.

Characters

would you please tell me about your current favorite character?

His name is Nathan, he is a sad, scrungly wet cat of a man found behind a dumpster that has been surviving off of scraps and spite for many years. He’s unlikeable, constantly feeling sorry for himself, peaked in high school and has very few redeeming qualities. My favourite thing to do with him is put him in mental agony, physical peril and moral conundrums. He’s a cop who, through his own foolishness, hates his life and self destructs. He is constantly taking his problems out on his coworkers because he has no real friends and has cut most of his contact with his family. However, he goes through a lot of character development where his morals are being constantly called into question and he discovers the power of friendship and not being unbelievably fucking unpleasant. I hate him so so much that I love writing him.

Which of your characters would you be friends with in real life?

Definitely Scout and Dan considering I based them entirely on myself and my brother. I literally wrote them in so my brother would listen to me talk about my writing and he won’t do that unless he’s in it. Their full names are Scout Trouble MacKenzie and Atticus Danger MacKenzie and they’re fully aware of how bizarre those names are. Dan goes by Dan because he likes watching the light fade from people’s eyes when he says Dan isn’t short for Daniel and is in fact short for Danger. They’re chaotic gremlins who are considered to be not well socialized and developmentally arrested at 16. Both of them are noted by other characters to be staggeringly bizarre and incomprehensible as they communicate entirely with inside jokes and meme references. They bicker like small children, especially when the topic of their old GameCube is brought up as the ownership of Monkey Ball is still a point of contention as one of them received it for Christmas in 2004, but they can’t remember which one was the actual recipient.

which characters would you dislike the most of you met them?

Josh, easily. My man is unemployed, stinky, and refuses to mature beyond an edgy teen. He doesn’t even do his own laundry. His vibes are so pungent that he makes my crops wither and causes the foxes to eat my chickens. I hate him. He really is the Josh of all time. Close second would be Kaylee but that’s just because she would stress me out too much.

Tell me about the process of coming up with your characters?

It depends on the day. Most of the time it’s utility driven, so as an example, for one of my WIPs I needed a librarian character, so, as I often do for background characters, I kind of just thought of the librarians I’ve known all my life, culminated them into one character and called it a day. Then, phase two was me ending up really liking the character and developing her more as I wrote her. Eventually it got to a point where I gave her a husband and a son and she’s now a recurring character. Effectively I am both the DM and the Party and every time I make up a detail about a background character, I end up really liking them and it snowballs. I have, on a few occasions, sat down with the express intention of making a character, and sometimes it works, but if you ask me details about both Theodore (carefully crafted over a few days) and Freddie The Information Guy (Background character I developed by accident), I’d be able to tell you a lot more about Freddie.

Do you notice any reoccurring themes/traits in your characters?

Again, going back to writing what I know, I always end up writing AFAB characters as being extremely tight with their dad’s. I don’t know, man, aside from that, the poor fuckers all just get a delightful little spoonful of my personal trauma as a treat.

How do you picture your characters?

As little dolls that I pick up and play with. They are my littlest pet shops and I am a 7 year old girl who wants to watch the world burn.

My writing:

what’s your reason for writing?

I have to write otherwise the characters just spin around my head like that fish in the funky town (low quality) video. I need to get them out of their enclosure and onto the page so I can know peace. On a more serious note, I write a lot as a way to process my thoughts. I’m a journal girly which I started doing when I was in the throes of alcoholism with undiagnosed BPD and ADHD. Whenever something bad happened, my gut reaction was to buy a bottle of bourbon and drink it like it was a race. Once I started journaling, I was able to replace that instinct of needing to drink with needing to write. Nowadays, I’m on occasional drinker and constant writer which I’m very proud of.

Is there any specific comment or type of comment from readers that you find particularly motivating?

Any and all for the most part. I’m always a fan of people liking The Characters and telling me that, but I acknowledge that no one cares as much about your OCs as you do, so I’m content with it being an uncommon but very welcome compliment.

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

Isolated and weird, the type to fly a kite in the middle of the night, too bizarre to be welcome in polite society so I live in a farmhouse of the edge of nowhere and Exist. Hopefully they think of me as the personification of those unhinged author’s notes in fics.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

Probably dialogue? I dunno, it’s definitely not the plot, because my characters are all just on side quests, if there’s a unifying plot than it’s accidental.

What have you been told is your greatest strength as a writer is by others?

Character development/creation and dialogue.

How do you feel about your own writing?

Illegible garbâge that is so self-indulgent and convoluted that it should not be perceived by anyone but me. However, that does not stop me from burdening my friends and readers with it. Their enjoyment of my writing is collateral damage of my creativity.

If you were the last person on earth, would you still write?

Yes, I’d be even more nuts if I didn’t write. Besides, I really am my own target demographic, so hell yeah.

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, do you write purely for yourself, or is it a mix of both?

I write for myself so hardcore that I’m surprised when other people like any part of it. As previously mentioned, if other people like what I write, that is incidental and not part of my grander mission of making things that make me happy. That being said, I do consider one opinion sometimes when I write, and that is the opinion of my brother and what will make him laugh.

Ted Kord

– Overall opinion of them

I ADORE Ted Kord. What a guy! His design is top tier, he's got so much depth, and he's an annoying little shit. And I feel like that's what makes him great! I love that most of his struggles are less "supervillain/rivalry/world ending mega-events" (though he is certainly involved in plenty of those!) and more mundane things. Like depression, or struggling with his weight, or having no money. He's got a chronic heart condition, he's constantly on the verge of a breakdown, and he's out here kicking ass anyway.He just...feels like an actual person more than a comic book character. And, I cannot stress this enough, he's fun. I would want to be his friend. I would want to hang out watching Star Trek with him. He's just a guy, doing his best. Glad he's alive and active in comics again! And glad he's still funny.

Sexuality, 100% bi or pan! Ted's horny on main, constantly, in all directions. Like, he's a massive flirt in canon. But he's also very dedicated to anyone he's actually in a relationship. I think he probably has some struggles coming to terms with not being heterosexual, but grows more comfortable with it as time goes on.

As for gender, I am of the opinion that he certainly thinks of himself as a cis man. But I also think it's more something he hasn't put a lot of time into contemplating. I think Ted Kord’s relationship with gender is best summarized by the following comic:

Favorite character: Wangnan my beloved (haha, no come back king, i miss you) Least Favorite character: I feel its too easy with this series' large cast, so I gotta name a reoccurring one. I mean, probably Buelsar? He's one of Yama's Mad Dogs, but he didn't give off much of an impression, design or personality-wise. Baragav was way more memorable. 5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):

Wangnan+Bam or Khun (or both) -I like both dynamics equally but for wildly different reasons

Edorsi+Ehwa (literal hot girl summer)

Goseng+Horyang (technically the only canon one)

a random thought: it think that--out of all the unshown Family Heads, the one I want to see most right now is Tperie, the wielder of the Eyes of God. He's the one who created the Opera Lighthouses, that can observe anywhere in the Tower, and I have to assume that he's also deeply in the know about the situation. I'm also very curious about why Repellista has one of them (I've been wondering about this since I found out what the Opera was). An unpopular opinion: Idk what of my opinions in the this fandom would be considered unpopular? Witch Hazel:

First impression - I always thought she was a lot fun and one of my favorite parts of Mickey's House of Villains. Her whole segment is really fun classic Disney Halloween vibes, and I was always here for it.

Impression now - I feel the same way today, and I'm nostalgic for her. I wish Disney had used her more, tbh. She was such a wacky and entertaining character who would have made a great reoccurring character in the Mickey Mouseverse.

Favorite moment - When she's standing over her cauldron calling out ingredients for Huey, Dewey, and Louie to add to the pot and quoting Macbeth. There's just something so fun to me about a witch at her cauldron.

Idea for a story - Witch Hazel comes back next Halloween to make sure Donald isn't being stingy. Donald, wanting to avoid any repeat incidents, tricks her into going after Uncle Scrooge instead. Wacky hijinks with Witch Hazel and Uncle Scrooge ensue as sort of a marrying ground of the Trick or Treat Cartoon and the Mickey's Christmas Carol cartoon. Of course it ends with Donald getting some spooky comeuppance eventually after she gets done with Scrooge.

Unpopular opinion - I don't think there are any truly unpopular opinions to be had. But one opinion I have that I haven't seen anyone else say is that I don't like it when witches have buckles on their hats. It looks too "pilgrim-y" for my tastes, and I think her design would be better without it.

Favorite relationship - Her friendship with Huey, Dewey, and Louie is adorable, and I love how mischievous they all are together.

Favorite headcanon - She herself isn't evil or a villain, but she likes to hang out with villains for fun because they get her sense of mischief better. She and Mad Madam Mim are friends.

Aurora:

First impression - I always liked her and thought she was a beautiful princess, and her movie was always my favorite. She wasn't ever a favorite of mine, but I always liked her.

Impression now - You've actually opened my eyes to how special and great of a character she is. I always knew she was lovely, but you've made her come alive to me like never before! I wasn't ever above a little sneering at her during the era when Disney Princess discourse was a thing, but now I would never even think of looking down on this beautiful character :)

Favorite moment - I love that first scene in the cottage where Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather have to try to get her out of the house so that they can plan her birthday surprise. I love the sly looks that show that she knows that they're planning something, but she still indulges them anyway. It's sweet.

Idea for a story - I love the story idea of Merlin popping in at the good fairies' request to tutor Aurora when she was younger. Him teaching her and helping her to grow into the princess she becomes is just perfect.

Unpopular opinion - She's always in the top tier of Disney princesses. She tends to get some of the most side eye from critics, and I just don't think any of that is worth bunk. She's amazing and everything a Disney Princess should be.

Favorite relationship - Her and Phillip have a beautiful fairytale romance that I absolutely melt for every time. I also love her familial relationship with the Three Good Fairies too!

Favorite headcanon - I'm coming around to being quite fond of the idea that because Maleficent's curse said that she will be "beloved by all who know her," Maleficent actually does have feelings of love towards Aurora, albeit her twisted version of love. I think if they spent any time together after the film, Maleficent couldn't help but develop a fondness for the princess per her own incantation.

Neverland Mermaids:

First impression - I thought they were pretty and well animated, but I never really have give them a whole lot of though, tbh.

Impression now - They're one of the fun fantasy elements that make Neverland feel like such a vibrant and wonderful place.

Favorite moment - The one thing I always remember about them is the one mermaid saying "we were only trying to drown her" so innocently XD

Idea for a story - I feel like there has to be a whole beautiful underwater world in Neverland, and I'd love to see Peter Pan getting some magic that would let him breathe underwater so that they could bring him to their magical world and have an adventure down there to see what other magical creatures live in Neverland's waters.

The Spirit of the Magic Mirror:

First impression - I thought he was so cool and mysterious and such a fun part of the movie and its whole aesthetic. He was one of my favorite characters as a kid, actually.

Impression now - One of my favorite Disney Villain Henchmen. He's got such a spooky and ethereal vibe to him that he tickles my fancy. I also have loved him in the various supplemental Disney materials like the DVD menus and theme park attractions. He's just one of those characters who makes my imagination soar.

Favorite moment - When Grimhilde first summons him from the farthest space and he appears from within flames. There's something so mystical and cool about that whole effect :D

Idea for a story - I like the idea of one day he frees himself from the mirror and regains corporeal form, seeking to get revenge on Grimhilde for imprisoning him. And she must contend with facing him, and possibly having to turn to her enemies for help.

Unpopular opinion - I'm just gonna use this for all the Disney henchmen: he's better and more interesting than Kronk. Would much rather watch him than Kronk's antics any day.

Favorite relationship - I love the idea of him having a romance with Madame Leota from the Haunted Mansion. Two disembodied spirit heads manifesting in enchanted glass objects who can see all. They're practically made for each other!

Uh, hi? I'm sorry if I'm sending a ton of asks. I accidentally sent an unfinished one and didn't know there was a character limit?? Like I typed a lot on one and it never had a limit so I'm not sure if it's like a mobile vs desktop thing? I'm really bad at Tumblr lol. Uh anyway, my interests are almost entirely dnd and art. I mostly run games for my friends and do world building or plot stuff. When I actually play I always struggle between wanting to play something useful but then get upset when I get brushed off as "not a damage dealer" like yeah I can heal you 30 HP with a 1st level spell but I'm doing 4d8 minimum damage a round. I know basically every ability in the game and usualy use that understanding to work around my allies and make it so they can work as effectively as possible. But I feel like helping them be the best they can be takes away from me and makes it look like I'm not actually contrabuting? Like noticing that I'm the reason y'all are attacking more often would be cool. When I do play damage dealers I have a lot of fun at first bit get annoyed at their lack of non combative abilitys and uses. I'm a very talkative player and like to poke and prod everything and try to advance the plot or keep people on track. I tend to absorb as much information as I can about topics that interest me or just ammuse me so I can spout off that information at random or help people apply that information to whatever (like me the DM, telling my players how to make their characters even stronger without realizing I have to deal with them) I really enjoy art and I dabble in photography? I think my abilitys with photography are more of a natural inclination towards taking good photos more than actually knowing anything about photography? I was one of my photo teachers favorites even though I just winged everything and pretended I knew what I was doing. I do that a lot. Acting like I know what I'm doing just because it makes things easier when I have to put up with other people involving it. I'm a big fan of cryptids and I've been meaning to just do a deep dive and learn every tidbit I can but I haven't yet. Estheticaly I'm very drawn to crowns. I just adore them for some reason and I always have. When I took my friends senior photos he payed me by taking me to spirit Halloween and buying me a crown. I'm really good at noticing patterns in the way people act and why they act the way they do and most of the time I just use that knowledge to "win" debates or whatever they just try to argue towards me. By win I mean I just intentionally misconstrued what they're saying to annoy them until they leave me alone (like "fuck you!" "No thanks I'm not interested") a lot of what I do is motivated by how funny I think I would be. Like tricking myself into kinning vriska? Hilarious. Getting into Homestuck so I can annoy my friends with useless trivia? Wonderful. Making my super friendly flower cleric and nicest character I've ever made also a raging anarchist and overthrowing two governments and killing a god through the power of friendship? God tier funny (in my eyes). I do a lot of things just so I can have a story to tell later (like killing the god) uh I think I've rambled for a while so I'm just gonna send this?

No worries about all the asks! I just want to say in advance that I really hope I don't confuse you further, but here's what I can figure out based on the information you've given me:

Your aspect is definitely Light. This is the clearest I've ever been able to determine someone's aspect so I don't think you need to doubt that. So much about Light is important to you - information/knowledge, your approach to stories, your focus on roles in reality (even if it’s fictional dnd reality). 

However, I don’t think you’re a Rogue. The classes I suggest you consider are Maid, Witch and Knight.

Maid might describe your relationship to wanting to be acknowledged as a contributor, but often being ignored. It would also explain why you constantly create Light for others, but desire to sometimes take on those roles yourself. You also appear to create situations for yourself to then create Light in the form of stories, as well as creating Light through plot/worldbuilding.

Witch is an option as you do sometimes appear to manipulate Light - intentionally misconstruing what people say, slowly changing reality by doing things because they’re funny, and using your knowledge to change things for your teammates. Poking and prodding at the plot is a very Witch-like trait. Witches also tend to be confident with their aspect. 

Finally, Knight might explain why you think you’re redistributing Light - perhaps you’re serving it instead. You do tend to use Light as both a weapon and to protect others when playing dnd. Joking about being a powerful entity and pretending you know how to do photography are both very Knight-like traits. However, Knights tend to only pretend to be confident in their aspect which might not suit you if you truly are confident with Light. 

I know I just gave you three new classes to consider! Probably not very helpful, sorry. Though with your own knowledge of classpects, you might be able to easily dismiss some of these yourself. Of course, my general advice is which do you feel you do more often - create, change or serve? Maybe there’s particular roles in dnd that you’re drawn to which would line up with one of these.

You and the gang are back in Charleston, South Carolina the corona virus pushed back Filming for a few months which was a blessing in disguise for Jonas to work in a script and to make sure locations where set to film and to have anything else needed to be there, with a new season means new extras you and the cast always invite them out to hang so they feel welcomed and to make new friends.

You’re into your second month of Filming season two everyone knows you and Drew are together the fans are so loving and excited you guys are together everyone thinks you guys are soo cute over the past two months back one extra who plays a kook Kelce is currently dating likes to flirt with Drew often Drew doesn’t flirt back but he is nice and doesn’t push her away. It doesn’t really bother you that much because all it really is is some slight arm touching and laughing at everything he says even if it isn’t a joke like an annoying school girl, but other then that you really like her.

You were currently with the girls madelyn and Madison talking about clothes and planning for a girls week when all of a sudden Madison shouts out “Oh my god I can’t believe that bitch”

“What what happened?” Madelyn asked worried Madison just gave you guys her phone where you saw two people strolling on the beach but the person tagged made your heart stop

You weren’t following her so this was all news to you, you took the phone from madelyn’s hands and went through her other photos most of her recent ones was of her and Drew and she always had some cute little flirty caption to go with it he had liked everyone single one and almost commented on all of them.

You looked up with tears in your eyes at your two friends who looked mad and also sad because you were hurt. You handed Madison her phone back and she quickly unfollowed Coleen but I’m doing so a story popped up that she had posted.

Madison quickly gave the phone back to you so you could view the story when you clicked on it you saw a beautiful beach that the sun was setting on and then the camera moved over and there stood your boyfriend with coleen on his back and they were both laughing the camera stopped as they both fell.

“Oh my god I can’t believe this, what do I do? I can’t call him he is with her right now and he would probably not even answer considering he is occupied” you said as tears fell down your face. Madelyn quickly scooped you into her arms rubbing your back smoothingly Madison jumped onto the bed and joined in on the group hug.

“Wait till before the dinner we have planned she won’t be there and you guys are getting ready together right?”Madison questions you just nod to what she says. “So talk to him then explain that it makes you uncomfortable and stuff, and hear him out.”

“Yeah maybe it isn’t what it looks like at all, she is probably doing it for more followers.” Madelyn rolled her eyes.

“Ok yeah, you’re right I’ll just talk to him” you sighed hugging your two best friends smiling slightly.

Later that night you drove to you and Drew’s shared apartment to get ready for this dinner, you walked into the apartment to see drew on his phone laying on the couch “oh there is my favorite girl” drew said scooping you up in his arms, “Drew look we need to talk” you said awkwardly not looking him in his eyes.

“Ok what’s up?”

“What’s going on with you and that extra Coleen? The weekly beach walks her posting photos like she is dating you? I know what she does isn’t in your control but you can tell her to stop”

Drew stood up from where he was sitting “she is just a friend I don’t see the problem In that she wants to make it as more then just in extra so I gave her some advice, and we realized we have similar interests so we just hangout and the beach walks are not weekly we don’t hang out nearly as much as her instagram shows it, come on you should know this because I’m with you” drew exasperated getting mad. “I don’t care if she is just a friend Drew be here friend that’s great help her with work I don’t care, what bothers me is she take photos of you and with you like she is your girlfriend and then I look like a dumbass to the world for not noticing it” you said raising your hands up

“Baby, who cares what others think I know that I love you and only you and I know you love me so why do you care what people think?” Drew asked “no I’m telling you I feel like a dumbass” you said tears in your eyes “do you think I would cheat on you ?” When you don’t answer he raises his voice “DO you think I would cheat on you?” He asks again just more demanding

“No I don’t think you would I trust you I don’t trust others she clearly gives 0 fucks that you have a girlfriend, she acts like it’s not a thing and just throws herself on you and you catch her and are there because you’re soo oblivious to what is happening” you said pulling your phone up to go to her Instagram only to find out you’re blocked. “She blocked me on Instagram drew, who does that unless you have something to hide?” You cried out.

Drew could tell this was really bothering you and suddenly his anger sub sided, “hey hey look at me, you’re not a dumbass. I didn’t know this stuff bothered you she is just my friend there is nothing going on there and there never will be I love you and only you. I just didn’t see what you were seeing but I’ll speak to her and get the photos taken down and tell her to back off a little ok?” Drew said hugging you and kissing your head

You nodded your head sniffling a little “now I have to text the girls and let them know it’s ok” you said getting up to get your phone that you had thrown across the room.

Drew burst out laughing “you girls are weird, hold on babe let me text the boys and gossip about it I also need them to help me pick out my outfit for tonight I have 3 options” Drew said in a girly voice mocking you, Madelyn, and Madison “ oh ahaha you’re so fucking funny” you smiled throwing a pillow at him.

RUDY:

You had just gotten back in Charleston, South Carolina to start filming season 2 of obx, the funny thing about filming obx is that you and everyone else forget you’re even working it’s really just a bunch of family goofing around. You and Rudy decided to drive down from LA to Charleston just the two of you, it was lots of fun taking lots of photos of the beautiful views and taking candid photos of Rudy without his knowledge and him doing it as well just enjoying one another’s company.

You’re on your first week of filming and so far so good you love being back at the beach with your friends catching up and making new memories, one of the extras from season 1 came back she played a touron that chugged some alcohol with Rudy as JJ and a small glimpse of a hookup was in season 1 her name was Peyton belcher, she didn’t have any lines not really so her character is kinda unknown she was called back this season to re claim her small touron roll.

Peyton wasn’t close with the cast but everyone is familiar of her so we were all happy to see her back. Rudy and you have been dating for a year now almost 2 now you played his love interest which made you guys closer and you couldn’t help but fall in love with one another, you and Rudy chase and Maddie are the biggest ships on the show your Instagram is always Bum barded with nice comments on you and Rudy’s relationship and also amazing edits of you guys you love them all and it fills you with so much happiness.

You were all on your first day off since filming again JD, Madison, you, chase, Rudy, and Madelyn. Were all on a boat drinking and enjoying the sun you were laying on a towel while Rudy had his arms wrapped around you showing JD and Chase a video he captured on your drive from LA to Charleston. You felt your phone buzz from beside you, you noticed it was a Instagram notification. Yes you have your Instagram notifications on because you forget to turn it off and you like being able to be in contact with your fans, you have made quite a few friendships with fans and talk daily.

You opened your new dm to see a fan account request to send you a message of course you accepted it always happy to talk to new people

Obxlover: hey I don’t want to bother you or scare you but I saw someone post a picture today of her and Rudy looking a little to cozy and I just wanted you to know, it’s probably nothing anyway i love you and the show. I’ll send the pic right now.

Y/N: hey you’re not bothering me at all I’m so glad you love the show and I love you too.

You looked at the photo for a minute then back at your boyfriend “hey babe, when was this taken?” You asked him showing the phone up to him he took it from you looking at it confused “oh my god this was from when we did season one” he said laughing “I don’t know why she posted it tho considering we don’t talk barely but whatever” he said handing the phone back to you brushing it off like it’s nothing you shrugged your shoulders not really caring and continuing on with your fun with your friends.

Throughout the day on the boat you hear your phone pinging with notifications you pick it up wondering what is so important to see tons of people and can accounts sending you the same picture but some with screenshots of someone asking who is in the photo with Peyton and she responded saying the cutest boy she knows with a love heart next to it. You get irritated and mad and just turn your phone off to stop hearing and seeing all the posts and comments and questions of concern for your relationship with Rudy.

You all finally reach your destination being a restaurant on the water where you can pull up and dock your boat and just walk in, you still annoyed pick all your things up quickly and make your way off the boat as quick as possible walking ahead of everyone else “hey uh is she good or?” JD asks no one in particular “she probably saw what peyton said about Rudy being the cutest guy she knows under the post she posted fans are dming me worrying about you guys relationship so I’m sure her phone is blowing up she is probably just frustrated” Madison suggested trying to catch up to you.

“Dude are you with Peyton?” Chase stops walking and asks Rudy who just stares at him shocked, “are you serious right now why would you think that? That photo was from a year ago I would never ever hurt YN ever !!” Rudy yelled looking chase dead in the eyes you and Madison were still making your way to the restaurant but stopped when you heard Rudy yelling which is not like him at all you both look at one another and turn around to see what’s happening.

“If I thought you were cheating imagine how y/n feels right now, I’m sure her phone is blowing up with people saying things about you guys and Peyton I’m sorry you’re mad but it’s the first thing that came to mind I mean it looks like it from Instagram” chase said defensively

You and Madison started walking over slowly to the scene next to madelyn and JD who were watching awkwardly off to the side. “I’m not cheating on her I would never cheat on anyone ever ! I’m In love with y/n man I want to marry her and have so many kids why would I fuck something up with some girl I barely know ?? And why are you getting mad at me for something peyton posted !” Rudy screamed in chases face Rudy was on the brink of tears you could tell cause he was slightly shaking

You dropped your bags and ran to Rudy pushing him away from chase and pulled him in your arms stroking his hair “I know you weren’t cheating that never even crossed my mind babe, yeah I’m annoyed by my phone blowing up and being told you’re with her and not me and so on and so forth and it’s annoying that she is saying all these flirty things but I was never upset with you” you whispered to Rudy but the others could hear because they all smiled and wrapped each other in a hug watching the scene unfold “I’m in love with you to but I’m only ( your age ) give it a few years before you propose yeah ?” You question looking at him

“Yeah ok, I love you” Rudy says grabbing your hands and taking you to the restaurant for some food.

I finished the FF7 Remake, and oh boy do I have THOUGHTS!!!! It’s been like an hour and a half and I’m still riding that high omg

if this was just the first part, I can only imagine how the rest of the game’s gonna go...

Anyway, rambly thoughts under this beautiful screenshot of Tifa I took:

- This game was seriously SO FUN???? I honestly can’t remember the last time I had so much FUN with a game...they really did so well with all the gameplay mechanics and having a good balance of everything, so A++++ for that!

- They weren’t kidding when they said this would basically be a ~full~ game on its own, despite only being the first episode....I got close to 50 hours of gameply (although a lot of it was just me farting around doing nothing lmao) and nothing felt like it was lacking :D

- I really liked (most) of the new VAs! I was kinda worried about Barrett in the trailers, but he came through for me lolol even the NPCs sounded awesome!

- We all know Don Corneo’s a pig, but I actually really enjoyed his scenes because his VA was clearly having so much fun with it ahaha~ And I LOVE that they kept in the “I’ll cut them off/smash them/rip them off” lines pffft. Too classic!

- I LOOOOVE all the stuff they elaborated on....it was nice to see more of Midgar and hang out with the AVALANCHE nerds. I remember not really giving much of a fuck when they died in the OG, but I was full on sobbing at Jessie’s death scene in this game a;lskjf;laiwjef

- I thought the battle with Rude was kinda clever, that he wouldn’t really hurt Aerith but just kept putting her to sleep when you switched over to her...so RUDE hahahaha B)

- I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO SEE CAIT SITH???!!! It makes me wonder if they’re gonna have a different way of introducing him, or if he’s gonna have a different sort of role...maybe Reeve will finally tell us how he operates a robot cat with a Scottish accent

- I loved the little details in the animation, like how when you climbed all the stairs in the Shinra building (because of course I did that lmao), Cloud gradually got slower and slower...or how when you controlled Tifa, she was naturally faster. And how Barrett sort of ‘limped’ when he climbed the ladders cause he just has one hand......I love tiny details and effort like that ahhh it warms my cold black heart!!!

- speaking of which, if you watch Red XIII pull the levers....you can kind of see how he’ll be able to pull off the sailor suit later on lmao I love him

- WALL MARKET!!!!!!! Definitely my favorite chapter omg alskdjflaiwejf The dance sequences were PERFECT!!! When did Cloud learn to dance?! I can’t wait to go back and replay that chapter lmao

- AERITH SMACKING THE GRUNTS AROUND WITH A CHAIR ADDED TEN YEARS TO MY LIFE

- So much of the game gave me XIII trilogy vibes....a lot of it was the music, but the gameplay and some bosses made me feel it too :D

- Am I crazy.......or were practically all the scenes with Sephiroth amazingly gay??? like idk if it’s just Hoech doing that, but........damn

- I officially ship Cloud/Tifa/Aerith as an OT3, but Tifa/Aerith were so cute and gay ahhhhhhhh~ Even if you don’t have shipper goggles, they did amazing at really elaborating their friendship!

- Honestly, all of the relationships between everybody were SO well done without it seeming like they were trying too hard. It felt so natural and easy, even between the NPCs, A++++ to the writers

- Battle-wise, I liked playing as Tifa the best, mostly because I typically enjoy using speedy characters. I actually liked playing as Aerith the least, even though I also enjoy using mages...Barrett took some getting used to, but he grew on me. And of course Cloud was lovely~ It’ll be interesting playing as Red eventually, I think he’ll be really fun to control

- I wonder if Yuffie’s eventual appearance will be handled differently, because they really kept emphasizing the whole “AVALANCHE IS WORKING WITH WUTAI!!!!!!!!” angle....and I doubt Yuffie will be an optional party member, so there might be some more story stuff there. I bet with Vincent they’ll just make waking him up mandatory lmao

- Going back to Wall Market....am I crazy, or was Chocobo Sam the only possible straight one of the trio 8D Madam M was clearly pansexual, don’t @ me

- AERITH SAID SHIT

- tbh I’m still trying to wrap my head around the ending, so there may be rambly tags in gifsets eventually, but....

- seriously, how was it possible for him to get MORE beautiful???!!!?? I’m gonna cry just thinking about it rip

- I was talking to a friend about the ending, and she had what I think is a good theory that the Whispers have seen things play out before and this is just a reoccurring timeline. It would explain why Cloud had visions of Aerith praying for Holy, why Tifa saw Meteor, how they saw Red running around in the future... (plus, this was sort of the plot of Type-0, so it wouldn’t be the first time it’s been done lol)

- tbh though, I’m not sure how the possibility of Zack not going to Hawaii will play into things. Cloud’s cocky personality is a result of his trauma from Zack’s trip to Hawaii....so if that happened differently....

- Maybe Asshole Hojo picked Zack up??? Because he did seem to know who Cloud was and was all interested in furthering his ~experiments~ so it’s entirely possibly he’s a dick and has Zack locked up somewhere again....

- OR maybe Zack’s just in hiding and that’s what the “I’LL GO GET KUNSEL” line was all about, since Kunsel knows all?? IDK MY HEAD HURTS

- That being said, I need to think about things more and as I mentioned, there may be rambles in my tags in the coming weeks ahaha~

OVERALL, this game was a BLAST!!!! I loved it so much, and like I said, I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun playing something. 10000000000/10, highly recommended to the world and I can’t wait for the next part!

Top 10 iCarly Episodes:

Well, coming off the heels of re-watching iCarly in it’s entirety, again, I feel it suitable to reflect on what I feel are the best episodes in the series. Keep in mind, these choices are just my personal opinion. This is all in good fun, so if you disagree, share what your favorite episodes are. I’m not gonna break down everything that happens in each episode, there’s no need. If you’re reading this, you’re already an iCarly fan, and know the episodes. I’ll just be listing my choices, and discussing why I chose each one. So, lets get started…

Honorable Mentions: iFence, iBloop, and iLost My Mind

There are honestly plenty more episodes that can be talked about here, but for the sake of keeping things as concise as possible, I narrowed this section down to three.

Season 1, Episode 22: iFence

This was originally in my top 10 when I was choosing my list, but in the end, it was edged out by what actually made the number 10 spot. This episode is funny, charming, and all around enjoyable. Even this early in the series, it was a nice change in formula to see Freddie take center stage. I’m also a huge a sap for any kind of heartfelt interactions between characters, and there is a brief, platonic one between Carly and Freddie during this episode that totally hits that soft spot for me. I’m also the biggest supporter of the Sam and Freddie pairing, so the moment where Sam is cheering on Freddie while he’s fencing his rival is my favorite thing ever.

Season 3, Episode 14: iBloop

Just a fun watch. I honestly wish they did more of these throughout the series. One per season would’ve been a nice treat for the viewers. I know there is a squeal in the latter seasons, but it’s not quite as good. Regardless, seeing the actors who play our beloved characters, goofing off on set, and flubbing their lines is just fun. I love it.

Season 5, Episode 1: iLost My Mind

This last honorable mention is probably not gonna be a popular choice, but it’s my list so whatever. I know, the “Seddie” arc is not remembered fondly by most iCarly fans. Heck, even some of the biggest “Seddiers” out there don’t like it, and I agree that the arc is poorly executed; but, I don’t think the whole thing is bad. It spans across five episodes, from iOMG to iLove You, and in my personal opinion, the arc is good until the third episode, iDate Sam and Freddie. It falls off a cliff from there on, but I’m adamant in my choice to include iLost My Mind as an honorable mention. All in all, this is an overall cute episode, with a sweet ending, and like I mentioned earlier, I’m a total sap for that stuff. That said, it could be a lot better, and that’s why it didn’t crack the top 10.

Alright, now that we’ve gotten the honorable mentions out of the way, let’s move on to the top 10…

10. Season 6, Episode 10: iRescue Carly

I know, I know, this is an odd choice to include. It’s one of the last few episodes in the series. Around this time it was very apparent that the show was winding down. The episode plots were weaker, the bloom was off the rose, and iCarly’s best days were admittedly in the rear view. That said, the show was still one of the most popular shows on Nickelodeon. It may not have been in it’s prime anymore, but it still delivered an enjoyable product to the fans that loved it. But why did I choose to include this episode specifically? Why did it edge out some arguably better episodes from when iCarly was at it’s peak? I’ll tell ya why. Sam Puckett.

It’s no secret that I love the Sam Puckett character, and this episode is nice culmination of the wonderful girl we get to watch her blossom into throughout the series. When we are first introduced to Sam, she is essentially an irritable bully who is mean to most people, except for Carly. At first, it’s even questionable as to why Carly considers this troublesome delinquent to be her best friend; which Carly even acknowledges in the very first episode. But as the series progresses, we learn that Sam isn’t a bad kid, she’s just a little rebellious is all. It’s acknowledged that she grew up without a father, a dysfunctional mother, and a perfect twin sister that most people prefer over her. Her attitude and demeanor is the byproduct of the surroundings in which she grew up, but underneath that rough exterior, Sam has a heart of gold.

The aggressive behavior she often displays can easily be interpreted as a defensive mechanism to protect herself. She has plenty of acquaintances, but doesn’t truly let many people get close to her, and that’s by design. At the start of the series, Carly, and by association, Spencer are the only ones shown to have a legitimate connection with Sam. Freddie would forge that connection shortly thereafter, as the two transition from enemies, to frenemies, to friends, and Gibby would also follow suit later on; but Sam’s inner circle doesn’t really stretch beyond that.

As we follow the rebellious blonde throughout the series, we are made privy to a plethora of moments where Sam drops her guard and displays her compassionate side. This episode captures that side of her beautifully, as she goes to extreme measures to protect her friends, especially Carly. It’s a nice bow on top of her character arc, as we see just how much she’s grown.

9. Season 2, Episode 7: iChristmas

Carly’s miniature arc of taking what she had for granted in this episode is wonderfully told. It has a good message while still skillfully sprinkling in the comedy the show is known for. My favorite thing about this episode is how it displays just how important Carly was to everyone around her. She is the literal glue that holds everyone together, which is made very apparent at the end of series when she leaves for Italy.

8. Season 2, Episode 20: iTwins

Turns out Sam has a twin sister who doesn’t live at home. She is the opposite of Sam in every possible way; she’s well behaved, gets good grades, she’s super friendly, and is a total girly-girl. Honestly, based on what we know, she is the total antithesis of not only Sam, but their entire family.

In this episode we are introduced to Melanie Puckett. What a totally fun concept this was. It’s honestly baffling that they never revisited the Melanie character. She is seldomly mentioned after this episode, but we are never graced with her presence in the series again. I would’ve loved to see her to become a reoccurring character. There was so much potential for fun plots involving her; but even in a one off episode, she left a lasting impression, and secured this episodes’ spot in the top 10.

7. Season 2, Episode 17: iReunite with Missy

Much like I mentioned during number 10, there are a plethora moments in the series where Sam drops her guard, and this episode is chock-full of that. It’s heartbreaking when Sam realizes she can’t do anything to stop Missy’s evil plan to steal Carly as her best friend. The “I’m her best friend,” line Sam shoots in response to Missy during the Groovy Smoothie scene gets me every time. She legitimately sounds upset, and is practically helpless in the moment. Then there is scene towards the end where Carly finds out the truth about Missy, and reconciles her best-friendship with Sam. It’s there we are shown again that Sam has a huge heart buried beneath her attitude when she forgives Carly despite having every right to be upset with her.

This episode is also a total smorgasbord of Sam and Freddie moments too, and I can’t help myself, I love it. From their little spat at the start of the episode to Sam at her most vulnerable when she comes to Freddie for help with the Missy situation, it’s just swimming in cuteness between them. Then of course, it’s revealed at the end that Freddie did help Sam without telling her, and it gives me all the feels. The “You care about Sam,”  moment in which Carly calls him out for helping Sam is just my favorite thing.

Maybe I’m a little bias because this episode is so centered on my favorite character, but I don’t care, it’s just great.

6. Season 1, Episode 5: iWanna Stay with Spencer

Starting to notice a trend? Like I mentioned earlier, I’m a sucker for the episodes with sappy, mushy, heartfelt moments in them, and you’ll see that continue throughout this list. This episode hits me right in feels as we just how strong the bond is between Carly and her brother, Spencer. It’s incredibly touching when Spencer is giving his Granddad the rundown of how to properly take care of Carly, and I always get a kick out of the “dinosaurs are cool,” line when Spencer mentions he only gives Carly dinosaur shaped vitamins.

5. Season 4, Episode 9: iOMG

Oh the “Seddie” arc…yes, it’s bad. There are just so many issues with how Sam and Freddie’s relationship was written. If you’re a supporter of their romance like myself, you know how unbelievably frustrating it was to see how terribly the writers fumbled their story. It was exploited merely for shock value, and the actual story that deserved to be told was never a priority. But despite the major issues within the arc, this episode that kicked everything off was wonderful.

In the honorable mentions section, I stated that I think the arc is actually good until the third episode, iDate Sam and Freddie, where everything starts crumbling apart, and iOMG is a testament to that opinion. I absolutely adore the subtle attempts from Sam to get to closer to Freddie, and how awkward she gets she finds out the PearPad app revealed her mood as “in love.” There are definitely minor flaws in both this episode, and iLost My Mind, but they don’t deserve the bad reputation they have simply because the episodes that followed them fumbled the ball. The cliff hanger at the end of this episode and the mere potential it had for a great story to be told is enough for me to include it on this list.

4. Season 3, Episode 3: iSpeed Date

If you haven’t noticed yet, beyond the trend of mushiness that is apparent on this list, there is also a trend of episodes that involve some kind of heavy implications with Sam. Here’s another one. 

I love and hate this episode lol. I love that we get more glimpses of Sam’s vulnerable side, but I hate how sad I feel for her as the episode plot plays out; which is a testament to the episode. Not only does she embarrassingly get turned down by Gibby, who she never wanted to ask to their school dance in the first place, she also walks in on Carly dancing with Freddie, unbeknownst to them. That dancing scene at the end has so many implications, and is surprisingly heavy for a kid’s show, honestly. You are left feeling so many emotions for the main trio as the episode concludes. There is a sense of pity for Sam as it is very clearly implied that she’s bothered by what she sees, but happiness combats that feeling as you proudly watch Freddie share that intimate moment with Carly he so desperately wanted for so long. It is happiness, sadness, confusion, and suspense all wrapped up into one scene, and it is fantastic; as is the entire episode.

3. Season 3, Episode 9: iSaved Your Life

Surprised at all? Why would a Sam and Freddie supporter, like myself, rank an episode centered on the pairing of Carly and Freddie in the top 10? Well, simply put, it’s a fantastic episode regardless of personal preference, and I cannot ignore that. There is a reason this was the highest rated episode in the series when it aired, and it’s because it’s fantastic. It scored an enormously high, record setting, television rating for the premier and that is nothing to scoff at. But beyond the record numbers it scored, I chose this episode because I honestly like it. There is a lot to unpack when discussing this episode…so strap in.

Yes, this episode revolves around Carly and Freddie, but it is still an integral part of Sam and Freddie’s relationship in major ways. As the plot unfolds, Freddie goes through a miniature arc in which he finally obtains what he craved for so long, a romantic relationship with Carly, but he ultimately decides to walk away from that relationship when it doesn’t turn out how he envisioned it. This is a crucial moment in Freddie’s overall journey as his character slightly changes from here on out. He practically abandons the constant adoration for Carly that was a staple of his character until that point, and we don’t see it again until Season 6, where it begins to be teased that those feelings still linger; but before the “Creddie” resurrection of Season 6, this episode essentially served as the metaphorical shutting of the door on his childhood crush that never felt the same for him.

Now as one metaphorical door shut, another was opened, one that led to a potential romance with Sam. Obviously, this romance had already been seldomly teased several times in prior episodes, as well as this episode itself, but it was now free from the shackles of its opposition. This admittedly has a lot to do with my personal enjoyment of the episode, and I’ll probably discuss the implications it has between Sam and Freddie in another post at some point. That said, I still enjoy the story told between Carly and Freddie, and I won’t pretend not too. Couple that story with the subtle allusions to Sam and Freddie’s possible romance, and I can’t help but love this episode.

2. Season 2, Episode 8: iKiss

Well, if the last episode I chose came as a surprise at all, I’d be willing to bet that this choice is the exact opposite. What can I say? I love Sam and Freddie to pieces, and this is the first episode centered on their connection. I’d venture to say this is my most watched episode of iCarly. I always re-watch the balcony scene, and it gives me all the feels. That kiss the two characters share at the conclusion of the episode is so well done, and captures the awkwardness of adolescence brilliantly. You literally feel their confusion as they lock lips with each other. The tension between these two constantly argumentative characters is released into a kiss, and you witness them subtly realize there might be a reason behind their sometimes hostile behavior toward one another. Of course, this is not stated outright, but it is absolutely what you’re intended to infer from the scene. It is shot in a way that makes it clear that both Sam and Freddie want to say something more after the kiss, but just don’t know how, resulting in awkward banter before they ultimately retreat into their own solitude. I could honestly write an essay breaking down the every little minute detail in that scene, it’s just so wonderfully done.

The general arc Sam goes through in this episode is also wonderfully told. Early in the episode there is a moment where Sam refers to herself, Carly, and Freddie as all being “friends,” before immediately backtracking and saying that Freddie is merely a “coworker.” There is an obvious denial of any kind relationship between them, even platonically, but we as the audience know better than that. Then of course, Sam later finds out that Freddie has never had a real kiss, and publicly shares that information on iCarly as a prank, but it practically ruins Freddie’s social life. That moves us into the second phase of this arc, in which Sam realizes that her actions have consequences. Carly berates her for being so harsh to Freddie, in a moment that terrifically displays why Carly is such a wonderful character, and Sam is left to harbor the guilt of her choices. This carries us into the third phase of her arc where she faces her emotions head on, and apologizes to Freddie. Even without the kiss that follows, this arc Sam goes through is a tremendous display of growth for an otherwise, closed off, defensive, rebellious teenager. That alone is testament to the excellence that is this episode.

Like I said earlier, I could write an essay on this episode. There is just so many little details that make it so great, and I absolutely love it,

1. Season 6, Episode 13: iGoodbye

So, here we are at number 1, and it’s the series finale, iGoodbye. Is this even a shock? This final episode of iCarly is so freaking good, and there was no way it wasn’t going to claim the number 1 spot for me. Even with the fact that Sam and Freddie get no closure, and just have a general lack of interaction at all during the episode, I still rank at number 1. That’s how good it is.

So, I guess I’ll start with the Sam and Freddie issue since I mentioned that first, just to get the one negative out of the way. This is single flaw this episode has, but it is a major one, and I have to acknowledge it. While they may have a few little moments here and there, Sam and Freddie have an extreme lack of interaction throughout this episode, and it’s incredibly disappointing as a viewer. Of course, to a fan like myself, these two ending up back together would’ve been the ideal outcome, but I digress. Even disregarding the idea of them getting together, the simple fact that they don’t even have a final moment together, even just as friends, is criminal.

But, I ranked this at number 1 for a reason, and it’s because it is fantastic even with that flaw. This finale is a love letter to fans of the series, and is an emotional roller coaster throughout. There are numerous tear jerking moments that tug at the heart strings amazingly hard for a kids show. From Spencer forsaking his long lost love, Audrey, so he can take his little sister to her last dance, to Carly and Sam on the elevator during the final scene, and everything in between, this episode is emotionally beautiful. Both of Spencer’s moments with Carly and Sam respectively are two of my favorite moments in the entire series, and they give me all the feels. The goodbye he and Carly share before she leaves for Italy genuinely makes me cry every time I watch it, and the moment where he gives Sam the motorcycle before telling her she has “a good heart,” is so touching. I adore that “good heart,” line so much, as it validates my favorite character as a good person deep down. 

I could go on forever about this episode, but I actually plan on reviewing it as a standalone specifically, in a follow up to myreview/look back at the whole series. So for now, we’ll wrap this list up. iGoodbye is a beautiful finale to a wonderful series, and easily secures its spot as the best episode of iCarly for me.

My Dream! Vlogging with Adrien

Her video with Adrien and Alya quickly became her second most viewed video on her channel, right behind one of her first design videos. It was all over the place, and it was all she heard people talking about online. People loved the video.

It was definitely good for her channel and her stress, she was a little worried about how people at school would take it. Everyone knew Marinette and Adrien had gotten closer since he started appearing in more videos.

Of course, she would love to do more videos with Adrien. However, she didn't know how to keep asking Adrien if he wanted to be in more videos, or if he wanted to stop after seeing all of the comments.

"There she is!" Nino smiled widely when he saw Marinette enter the room. "You actually look rested for once."

"Yeah, I got to go to sleep at a decent time last night," Marinette said. "What's up?"

"Your video blew up, Mari!" Nino jumped. "We were all talking about how awesome that is. And my song was in the video! We're all famous!"

With a giggle, Marinette shrugged. "It did kind of get a little crazy. Thanks for the help on that video, Adrien, and for the amazing idea, Alya."

Alya winked. "You know I know what the fans want."

"Marinette!" Adrien gasped. "I have the perfect idea for a video!"

Right as he was about to tell her, the bell rang. "We'll talk after class."

"It seems like we've all had busy weekends," The teacher began to talk. "Glad to hear, but let's get to work. We have some important projects coming up for your last few months of school."

Wednesday

Marinette was in her parent's cafe as she began to record her video. "Hi, guys! I'm Marinette!" She said, now it was just habit to speak in English when in front of a camera. "Today, I'm doing a vlog. Well, if I titled this correctly and came up with some cheesy title, then you're probably wondering why this is going on my main channel, when vlogs usually go on the second channel. Well, we have an exceptional kind of vlog today," She winked.

"I'm here!" Adrien jumped into the frame. "I came up with the perfect idea for a video for Marinette, so we're making it!"

"Adrien has a hectic schedule, so we need to finish eating our after-school snack, then we can head out to meet Adrien's bodyguard to go to our secret location," Marinette smiled.

Adrien grinned as he took another bite of his cookie. "The best pastries in Paris. No, in France. Wait," Adrien paused. "The best pastries in the world."

"No wonder my parents like you...you're a suck up!" Marinette joked and turned the camera to herself. "Stay tuned, if you like my fashion videos, then you are going to love this!" She said with a big smile and stopped recording. Only a few more minutes passed by before both of them weird in the car heading to the location of the secret vlog.

Both of them were happy; they were becoming closer. Sure, over the past few years they had become friends, but there was a lot of development between them since Adrien started appearing on Marinette's YouTube channel. He became more interested in her work, and it gave them excuses to hang out and become better friends.

The two of them talked non stop on the ride. Halfway through, Marinette turned the camera on as they continued their conversation, but now they were speaking English. "I think my viewers like you more than they like me," Marinette told him as she held the camera in front of them. "It's kind of obvious. They always want you in a video."

"Hey, I've read the comments. I know how much they like you, but they also like seeing you with your friends!" Adrien smiled. "I'm happy to be a reoccurring character on the Marinette show, instead of just being a cameo every once in a while," Adrien nodded, proud of himself.

A gasp and a smile formed on Marinette's face. "You should have a cameo. Like, you know, people pay celebrities to talk to them through a small video. It's kind of a cool concept. I heard people were campaigning to have Ladybug and Chat Noir get a cameo, but I don't know what came of that."

Adrien smiled as he listened to Marinette talk. "I haven't heard of that before; I'll have to look into it. Maybe it'd be something fun, you know, if people would want me to get one. Leave a comment, or tweet Marinette or me telling us what you think!" Adrien promoted, and as if on cue, the car stopped. "Oh! We're at our secret location."

Marinette rolled her eyes at Adrien, and the two of them got out of the car. "Guys, I don't think you're ready for this. If you're on this channel, you probably like fashion...or just Adrien Agreste. And either is perfect for this video, as Adrien brought me along to one of his shoots!" Marinette squealed as she turned the camera around to show how everything was set up. "This is very behind the scenes and the first time I've been to a photo shoot without Alya and Nino. Normally they get bored and try to distract me, and I just know this is going to be awesome!" She rambled on.

Adrien stood beside her, partially in the frame, staring at her with a small smile. Once she finished rambling, she looked to him, and Adrien was snapped back to reality. "We've got some things to take care of before it all starts. You have to get all the behind the scenes footage! I need to get my first outfit and some makeup on, so we've got a long afternoon ahead of us, Mari." He grabbed her wrist not holding the camera and led her to his dressing room, and when Marinette stepped inside, she squealed.

"This is literally my dream, Adrien. To walk into one of my model's dressing rooms and see a bunch of clothes that I designed, the model excited to do a photo shoot wearing said clothes, and just expand the brand," Marinette gushed.

With a chuckle, Adrien sifted through the rack of Gabriel clothes. "And I have no doubt that it will happen soon," He smiled. "Hey, speaking of that, when am I going to be forced to model an outfit you're working on? You said you had one and I was next up to the plate," Adrien smirked, with his arms crossed as he was now standing facing Marinette.

Marinette shook her head. "It's still a work in progress. But, here's a sneak peek for you, and for the viewers who are awaiting one of my biggest fashion videos...it's an outfit inspired by Chat Noir," She said in a hushed tone.

Adrien's smirk turned into a big smile. "Oh my gosh, I can't wait to see it!" He said, and turned back to his clothes.

Marinette continued to vlog as much as she could. She snuck in a few recordings when Adrien got his hair and makeup done, then recorded him walking around the dressing room showing off some clothes. Since all the clothes in this photoshoot have been released, there was no issue against Marinette recording- Adrien even made sure to get her special permission.

It was when the actual photo shoot came about there were problems. A dozen people were running around trying to make this perfect, and it was clearly stressing Adrien out. Marinette has been to a few of his shoots before, but never alone, and it was never this chaotic. She was able to get a little bit of footage of the actual photo shoot, and she was most excited about hearing the photographer say "think about your mama's spaghetti!" to get Adrien in the perfect pose. Of course, Adrien was used to it; he had been hearing that phrase for years.

Marinette was also reminded about the amount of footage she was going to have to subtitle, but she had such a great time she didn't care. After the first outfit, Adrien ran over to Marinette and the camera with a smug look on his face. "How do you think that went?"

"I'd say you handled all the stress and spaghetti talk perfectly, Monsieur Agreste," Marinette snickered from behind the camera.

Adrien picked up a napkin off the table near them and pulled a pen out of his pocket. "Please, my biggest fans call me Adrien," He winked and handed Marinette the now signed napkin.

"Oh, don't let me swoon!" Marinette joked as she took the napkin. "Also, stop letting me let your ego grow. You don't need anymore," she said. "Now go change and get on with the next outfit."

"Anything for my biggest fan!" Adrien ran off, and Marinette shook her head at the camera, closing it for the time being.

This was going to be one of her most favorite videos to edit.

The video caused an uproar. People loved watching Marinette and Adrien interact, and the video was only growing on the trending page. Her Twitter blew up with tweets about her and Adrien, and she couldn't believe how much people enjoyed the videos, especially their friendship.

It was no longer just about Adrien Agreste, the fashion model; it was about the friendship and development between Adrien and Marinette. And while they were not near being above friendship, people still loved to see them together.

Hell, #Adrienette was trending on Twitter for the hour once the video was posted. Marinette knew Adrien liked someone, and she had come to terms with it and learned to control her crush. That didn't stop the hope in her heart that one-day things would change, and her fans would be right. But right now, she was just happy that she and Adrien were becoming closer and closer every day. However, Alya would never let her hear the end of it.

Once Alya went to bed, though, Marinette opened up the video she titled HOW DID THIS EVEN HAPPEN? | Marinette Vlogs. As the video played at a low volume, Marinette scrolled to the comments and began reading some of them, like she usually does after a video is posted.

This was such an awesome video! I loved seeing the different type of content, yet it still revolved around fashion! Can't wait to see more, with or without Adrien.

I've always wanted to see how photo shoots go, and you are so lucky to be able to experience it! By the way, totally agree with Adrien, your photo shoots will be here before we know it.

If you're looking for models to show off your first, kick offline, I'm sure every one of your fans would be down to do it! How awesome would that be, a line where your fans and supporters are the models? I can't wait until you actually put out a line, I love your designs, and I can't wait to see the Chat Noir inspired outfit! Especially with Adrien modeling it!

A Chat Noir outfit? You spoil us! I just know it's going to be perfect and Adrien is going to fit that style so well. Before we know it, he'll quit modeling for his dad and start modeling for your line!

I loved the concept of this video and all, but I can't help but focus on the fact that Adrien called her MARI. That is the cutest nickname, and I've never really heard her friends call her that before. We've heard M, and Nette, but never Mari, and I love it. Sometimes you guys look so in love, and I'm honestly here for it.

Oh my gosh, Marinette, you and Adrien have taken over Tumblr. There's fan art of you two- more fan art than you and Alya have gotten. And I'm sure there are fanfics- please do a video of you guys reading them. It would be hilarious!

Marinette really enjoyed reading the comments. She loved interacting with the fans- but reading fanfiction about her and Adrien might be a little much. After she got through a good amount of comments, she shut off the video and smiled to herself.

"People are going crazy for you and Adrien," Tikki giggled from over her shoulder. "Dreams do come true, huh?"

Marinette shook her head and laid down. "People love to ship any guy and girl they see together. Plus, as much as I wish he did, Adrien doesn't think of me like that. Maybe one day, Tikki," She sighed. "Let's get some sleep."

But Adrien was still up, reading every single comment and tweet he could find. This was by far his favorite video they have ever made, and he was beginning to realize how happy he was to be friends with Marinette. He loved having her around and creating things with her, and seeing the reaction from her fans about the two of them only made him smile more. However, he would never forget about Ladybug; she would always be his number one. Marinette was just a very, very close second.

Gordon has a twin sister, Octavia, she's approx. 4 hours younger than him if that matters haha. Their mother died during their birth (depressing as hell I know but I like the tragedy and dramatic shit), so their awesome father took it upon himself to raise his twin children the best he possibly can and give them a good life. Since Gordon can't speak, he, Octavia, and their father learned ASL in order for them all to communicate. Octavia acts as Gordon's voice and helps translate his signs for those who don't understand ASL. While growing up, Octavia becomes very defensive for Gordon, she hates when people make fun of him for not being able to speak. High school consisted of lots of fights and detentions for Octavia simply because she's defending her beloved twin. The two have a very unique bond, not only are they twins but they are best friends. Gordon has a really hard time opening up to other people, especially other girls, but he's always found it easy to confide in his sister, and Octavia is extremely supportive of him.

About a year after Gordon and Octavia graduate high school, their father falls ill and soon passes away, by then they are sharing an apartment on the university campus. Gordon is undoubtedly a genius, Octavia is quite intelligent as well, but she is studying for casual things such as photography and journalism, compared to Gordon who's clearly working for his PhD in science stuff. Soon after their father passes, Octavia finds herself taking the loss much worse than Gordon, and somewhere down the line she finds herself addicted to heroin. If Gordon wasn't home the night she finally overdosed, she would have died. During her rehabilitation and healing process, this brings the two of them closer and Gordon simply tells her that he cannot lose her, because she's the only family he has left. From that day forward, the two became even more inseparable.

Gordon and Octavia both end up at Black Mesa! Gordon obviously working in anomalous materials, whilst Octavia became the first female security guard, and she and Barney form a great friendship. Barney even tells her about his interest in Lauren, and she instantly hooks them up and everybody watches them fall in love. Octavia, like Barney, is a huge party animal, and enjoys grabbing some beers with Barney and Gordon after a long shift. Did I mention that Octavia and Barney are huge Queen fans? 😎 They will blast their music every day when they hit up the shooting range or while on lunch break. Also, Barney proposes to Lauren and Octavia was so happy when he announced it to her that she literally would not shut up about wedding plans for a whole week.

Black Mesa Incident time, yayyyy.

Octavia loses her shit when she can't find Gordon, she knew he was going in the test chamber that day, she wasn't supposed to know but he had told her anyways. She and Barney team up to fight the foreign alien creatures in order to escape Black Mesa alive. They are extremely pissed about the military simply executing any scientist or Black Mesa employee, however their highest priority is finding Gordon. Octavia and Barney get separated inside the Lambda facility, Octavia is trapped within and simply focuses on finding Gordon. She finds a portal to Zen, where she fights more of the alien creatures and soon realizes there's no way back to Earth. Suddenly the G-Man introduces himself to her, and offers her a job, she hesitates, but accepts when he tells her that he has Gordon. Together, the twins are put into stasis until their "hour has come again".

I'm not gonna get too much into the Half-Life 2 era stuff cause I'm planning on making a fan fic of it but here's some highlights and other facts about Octavia.

The land outside City 17 is fairly different, White Forest still exists, however everything is more inland and not next to the coast. The only large bodies of water are rivers and lakes. Technically City 17 is somewhere in Russia or in Soviet territory because I noticed a lot of the buildings and signs there are in Russian, but let's pretend City 17 is in the US because I want Octavia and Gordon to find their home as well as the ruins of Black Mesa. :3

City 17 has a wall around it that the Combine patrol heavily, the canals still exist but there is also underground tunnels that lie below City 17. The Combine are completely clueless of the underground tunnels, therefore Alyx uses them to help transport supplies and escort citizens to other outposts.

The Combine become aware of Gordon and Octavia's return a couple months after they arrive, unlike literally within the first day in the actual game.

Gordon and Alyx do fall in love of course. :)

Barney and Octavia fall in love too. :) Not gonna spoil shit about what happens to Lauren though I'm sure you can figure it out easily.

Eli's lab is far outside City 17, further west, so instead of it being called Black Mesa East, it's now Black Mesa West. It's actually a fairly large building that is partially submerged underground and is hidden in the trees so the Combine aren't aware of it. There's a nice open area to the south of the lab where Alyx and Dog have plenty of room to play fetch.

Since the lab is partially submerged underground, kinda like some houses where the back end is underground but the front isn't, that's literally this concept. So you can basically walk onto the roof, and that's Barney and Octavia's hang-out spot. This is also the spot where they confide in each other and talk about their tragedies, for Octavia, her heroin addiction and overdose, and for Barney, what happened to Lauren.

Oh yeah they also stole a Combine helicopter and fixed up Black Mesa style. 😎

Octavia helps Barney cope with his reoccurring nightmares over Lauren and the things he's seen working undercover, oh, and about that cat.

Barney managed to save some of the old mixtapes he and Octavia made back in the day, as well as the portable cassette player, which he rigged so it doesn't need batteries. So they constantly jam out to their favorite old tunes when hanging out or going on supply runs or hunting trips.

Octavia is definitely a night owl, Gordon is as well and they both have troubles sleeping sometimes. Gordon sometimes joins Octavia on the roof at 3am to talk some energy out in hopes of going back to sleep.

The classic desert eagle is Octavia's preferred weapon, the one she used while on security at Black Mesa. She is forever grateful that Barney managed to find and keep her prized gun after the Incident, as well as Gordon's infamous crowbar. The crowbar he still swears his life on by the way, ha.

Like Alyx, Octavia is quite fit and flexible, it's obvious they're experts at parkour. ;) If you haven't noticed, Alyx has a hoodie underneath her leather jacket with the Black Mesa logo, so I decided Octavia's shirt should have the Lambda logo with a similar color concept as seen on Gordon's HEV suit.

Octavia sometimes will go undercover with Barney to try and understand what he does every day, as well as gain more Combine information. She starts doing this soon before they confide in each other and confess their newfound love for each other. They definitely feel like they're working together again like in the old days but now forming secret crushes on each other.

Okay I'm not gonna spill too many more details without spoiling everything haha. But this is Octavia, as well as a brief explanation on my Half-Life universe. I showed my finished drawing of Octavia to my boyfriend and he swears she looks like me in real life but I don't see it other than the fact we both wear glasses and we both have our hair in ponytails all the time lol. The pose was based off of Kibbitzer's reference sheets, as mentioned before, you can find Kibbitzer's sheets on DeviantArt, their Patreon, or by simply searching it in Google. So yeah, this is my OC, Octavia Freeman, I hope you guys like her because I've put a lot of thought into her character and I've never done that with my other OCs haha. But I'm really proud of it. :)
