#he's literally the entire reason there's plot

And here is the last part
Tumblr media
Predaking - Oh, my fiery boy! I have so much to say about him…
He was probably the main reason I got into the Transformers fandom when I was a kid. My thoughts were like: It's a dragon! And a robot at the same time!? And he turns into a hot looking man!?! *mind blown*
Of course, over time I realized that behind the beautiful cover, he was a rather naive and very foolish character with a storyline too much like Dreadwing's. But despite all this, I still love him. Predaking is a real gem of the third season, and perhaps the coolest character in the entire series, and you can’t deny it!
In the WOF version, he is a resurrected dragon from the extinct skywing tribe. Being the largest dragons in this AU, their tribe was the most powerful on the continent until it completely died out due to a wave of cataclysms.
So, Predaking is a real giant compared to other characters. And, in the final addition, he is firescales! Because it’s BADASS!🔥
(and actually, because he gives me pretty strong Peril vibes)
Unfortunately I couldn't give him a bright color, so his firescales nature is shown through glowing areas on his body, creating the effect that he is literally burning from the inside. I also just noticed that his face looks very much like a skull, and I tried to pay attention to this in the design by giving him dark spots around the eye sockets and nostrils
Tumblr media
Hardshell - I don’t wanna draw some random insecticon, so I chose this guy. Here I will be short. He’s appears in only two episodes and died almost immediately. He’s more of a plot tool than a real character
His stripes look cool, but drawing them wasn’t easy at all (I hate floating shapes). I wanted to make him look more like his beetle form, adding a big front horn and green plates on his neck. I also think that insecticons should be more different in coloring in this version
Tumblr media
Skyquake - Same story - appeared in one episode - died in the same episode. Most of the fandom remembers him only as a zombie from the shadow dimension, and it's kind of sad. I believe he had potential. I always imagined Skyquake as the "brawn" in a duet with his brother, while Dreadwing was more of the "brain". And it would be great if we were shown this contrast, giving Skyquake a chance to prove himself in at least a couple of episodes
His design is, as expected, almost the same as his brother, but I still decided to add some small differences in details to make it more interesting
Tumblr media
Vehicons - STEEEEEEVES!
I like these silly dudes)
I didn't want to make them actual clones or something, so here they're just regular nightwings and icewings, but they may look the same because of the iron masks that hide their faces. Like many other dragons, they are victims of a war they may not have wanted to participate in. Actually, in that case their deaths don’t seems so meaningless and even give the autobots actions a darker subtext (although I believe in the theory that they could simply pretend to be dead on the battlefield (I really want to believe in that))
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know there are still a few possible undrawn characters left, like Skylynx and Darksteel or Unicron, but that's probably enough for me. I'm happy with my closed gestalt)

higuchi thoughts of the day: as much as i love the idea of her having some devastatingly destructive ability… her having a healing/support ability would explain so much of her character. like. her high ranking in the mafia despite (as far as we know) not being extraordinarily strong. her assignment to akutagawa + his resentment of her + her being so overprotective of him. the irl author’s connection to mori and yosano. dw about it

✦ OC Questionnaire Tag 3 ✦
Thanks for the tag, @illarian-rambling!
Characters from Sun and Shadow: Freya, Crow, and Valyarus Characters from the Arcane Rifts: Gene, Tazin, and Mislav Featuring tAR's children at ages 15, 17, and 17! (Aka mid book 2.)
Questions: - Do you have a tell when you're lying? - What other media genre would you do the worst in? - Are you confident in yourself? from @the-letterbox-archives
Tumblr media
Do you have a tell when you're lying?
Freya: Um... not that I know of? I'm not really in the habit of lying? (*remembers that she does, in fact, lie a lot... but mostly through omission of the truth!*) Haha... yeah! ... ugh, okay, um. If I had to guess... (*shifts uncomfortably in place*) it would probably be that I struggle in what to say? Though I kinda do that anyway? Ugh, I don't really know. (A/N: the easiest sign to tell that she's "lying" is that she avoids the subject completely. She'll change the subject or "get distracted". She also fidgets more, but that's something she does a lot anyways because she's awkward.)
Crow: Of course not! I don't lie anyway, so how would I find out? 😉🥰 (psst... Crow...) What? (You're supposed to basically be under truth serum for these Questionnaire posts...) Okay. And? 😘 (So you're telling me that you, a detective, have never told a lie once?) ... (See the issue there?) Nope! 😄 (A/N: WHELP! Uncooperative Crow understandably won't tell you, so I will. They're a very good liar, so it's hard to tell when they do. The best indicator is that they'll stumble slightly in their speech when almost saying something "they shouldn't" or they'll hesitate while trying to come up with a lie. The falters are always subtle though.)
Valyarus: (*snorts*) I would think not. Besides, I'm not in the habit of lying. There's too much magic that can force you into Truth-telling to be able to rely on it--no, best is operating in half-truths and implication. The best method of deception is allowing the one you wish to deceive to come up with the answers for themself. For example... (*slowly smirks, quirking an eyebrow*) I never said I don't lie just now... did I? (A/N: ahhh, our beloved douchebag faerie living up to his species's reputation. In other words: he's a fantastic "liar".)
Gene: I... don't know. I'd... like to think not. Maybe... maybe that I... (*takes a slow, deep breath, collecting himself*) ... I probably act more confident when I lie. I... I'm not confident. And probably don't... stutter as much. Or hesitate... So, speaking patterns? They--they change, I mean. My speaking patterns. When I lie.
Tazin: (*snarls*) I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about, you got me? I--I-- (*struggling to lie because of the whole "these questions are answered under basically-truth serum" thing*) FINE! I don't fucking lie because I can't, okay? I avoid the subject! Or I just--I don't know, I just fucking lie??? How am I supposed to fucking know if I have a "tell"??? Don't you think I'd fucking fix it if I knew??? (A/N: he gets avoidant of the subject and/or highly aggressive to dissuade the asker from continuing at the moment... or generally asking again.)
Mislav: Um... this is a weird question?... I guess I don't really--(*remembers he lies literally all the time*)--lie... (*lets out a slow, pained sigh, running his hands back through his hair in frustration*) I don't know? I just--try my best to bullshit it? Try to make people feel better, or avoid giving them the information they want? I don't know??? (A/N: best indication is that he answers too quickly. He usually practices/rehearses his lies before it comes time to actually tell them. Otherwise (if he didn't expect to have to lie/doesn't have one prepared), he freezes up, stutters, and smiles/jokes too much as he tries "appeasing" or distracting the questioner.)
What other media genre would you do the worst in?
(we're going to be implanting Forbidden Knowledge of our Real World genres and whatnot for them to be able to best answer this!)
Freya: The horror genre. (*shudders*) I cannot deal with scary stuff, okay? I think I would be the first to die. I'd scream, or cry, and break down--probably try hitting the monster or whatever over the head with a chair when it turns the corner and, well... that never goes well in those sorts of things, does it?
Crow: Fairy tales. I'd either be the "lesson"--"don't do this or look what happens to you! You'll become Crow!"--or I'd be whatever the horrifying monster or villain is. I mean... (*laughs awkwardly, looking away and rubbing their shoulder feathers*) when you're me... you get used to knowing you're what's wrong with the world. (*beat. They realize what they've just said--*) I mean, romance. I'd probably annoy my love interest to death. 😎
Valyarus: (*fake gags, then with disgust:*) Romance. My only "biological" child was through magic, and I would not step foot near anyone with that sort of intention. I don't understand how others do. Much less why my daughter is so interested in Freya. They just met! (note: he's aroace and is equally disgusted with romance and sex. Also, yes, I know that's not how all aroace people are. I have plenty of other characters everywhere else in the spectrum. This is just where Valyarus is.)
Gene: Um... probably romance. I...'m not interested in it... not really. Be-besides with Mislav, I mean... and I... I don't even know why he likes me? 😅😓 ... people think I'm creepy. They don't say it--not to my face--but I know they think it. And I... I struggle to talk with people a lot. I try to say one thing, but they think I mean another?... I don't understand why. It's hard. And I--... I don't think I'd do well in that kind of story.
Tazin: The kinda thing where I'd have to teach. I don't have that kind of fucking patience, are you fucking kidding me? I think I'd explode on them. Maybe even literally. (*He pauses, considering it... and grins darkly*) Actually, wait--I take it back. I want to try. (I want to tag in and say traditional horror/thriller. I think the degree to which he'd freak out or curse out the monster would be comical and/or break the immersion, haha.)
Mislav: I would not be able to participate in a talk show or be in the news. A talk show? (*scoff*) Regardless of the subject, it wouldn't take long for me to be driven mad by their endless talking and pretending they know everything. The news? Even worse. I think I'd snap their mic in half. And only because I'd be struggling not to snap other things. <.< (read: necks, limbs, etc.)
Are you confident in yourself?
Freya: Ha... no, not really. I act like I am, but... y'know, it's just that--an act.
Crow: What's not to be confident about? I'm the greatest, I've never made a mistake in my life, and every decision I make is the best one I possibly can! 😘
Valyarus: (*poised on a grand chair; sipping tea elegantly with one hand while the other hangs over the side of the armrest. A nail file magically hangs in the air and is filing his nails while he sips tea*) Hm? What did you say? Oh. (*chuckles*) Of course I'm confident in myself. My abilities, my character, my decisions--everything. 😉💅
Gene: Depends what you mean by "myself"... (*goes quiet, looks away, and debates*) ... I... I try my best to make the right decisions. The best ones... that I possibly can. I--as hard as it is to not question them, it's--it's not good to worry about past decisions. I do my best, and that's--that's all I can do. So... (*takes a deep breath, collecting his thoughts*) I'm not confident, but I try to be.
Tazin: (*snarls*) Of course I'm confident. I've gotten this far, haven't I? (*and slowly starting to smirk instead--*) I mean, look at me. (*leans back and gestures at himself with both hands*) I used to live on the streets with Gene. Now I have a girlfriend. People used to be terrified at my name--and they still would be if I didn't have to stop with the whole "Svarog" thing. (*oops, snarls again and leans in close; threateningly*) Look, I don't care what anyone else says, but Gene wasn't the only reason we were successful! He wouldn't have gotten anywhere without my strength, got it!?!? (Is actually less confident than he thinks he is--overcompensates for that by having convinced himself that he's the greatest. Hm... wonder if that fits the diagnosis criteria for anything?)
Mislav: Ha... not at all. (*swallows and looks down at his hands, fighting back tears*) I... one of these days, this curse is going to take over me. Will I even know when it does? Or will it be slow enough that I never even recognize that I've changed? I... (*looks back up at asker*) I worry, one of these days, I'll only know it when I've done something I can't come back from...

"Rodimus is a better Prime because it didn't hurt for him to bond with the Matrix while for Optimus it did" headcanon/theory my beloathed.
One day I'm literally gonna snap and make a whole post addressing why what's wrong bc I'm tired of the inaccuracy and tired of ppl not understanding the Point TM of IDW and its version of the Matrix/Primacy and even more tired of people putting down Optimus in favor of Rodimus by essentially arguing that being unworthy means you deserve to be punished/put in pain bc you just weren't good enough to hold the Symbol of Ultimate Authority
#it's wrong on so many levels both in terms of lore and as well as like what the general themes of idw1 are#it's just a validation contest using the matrix as some magical symbol to decide who's the most special#which is ironically something that was a plot point in exrid/OP. specifically how stupid of an idea that is ldskjflksd#ppl revealing that they havent read anything besides mtmte/ll as usual#like half the reason ppl think optimus is a bad prime and rodimus is a good prime is literally bc like#optimus was written by an author who was specifically trying to deconstruct him (sometimes to the point of absurdity)#and rodimus was written by an author who takes a more optimistic/idealistic approach. and is also better at writing#but also like am i seriously the only person who thinks that that argument is fucked up?????#like 'OP felt pain which means he's unworthy/not a real prime/not a true leader'#ok so you think that there's a hierarchy of moral goodness in which anyone who falls short of that Moral Ideal should suffer#as a sign of their unworthiness?? like does that not sound dystopian as hell to any of you?? why would you WANT the matrix to work like tha#even if the theory were true (which it isn't) why would you view the matrix as a good authoritative moral judge of character#if its idea of 'moral judgement' is to inflict pain on anyone who's supposedly not truly good/worthy#wasn't the entire point of the ending of LL (including rodimus being a good leader) that everyone is worth it?#like rodimus literally said 'you ARE damn well good enough' or something like that#so what? everyone else in the universe tries their best and that's enough but somehow when OP suffers it's like#a sign that he's not actually a good prime/leader?? we're really going with the punitive perspective purely for One Guy??#swear to god ppl are projecting their authority issues onto Optimus the way they shit on him for things they would excuse#if any other character did it#Optimus is uniquely deserving of pain/being marked as unworthy bc idk he was a cop once and that offends my delicate sensibilities#what's even funnier is how much harm was inflicted by rodimus as a captain sheerly due to his stupidity or ego but everyone forgives him#i guess bc as long as the matrix likes him that means he's valid no matter what he actually does as a person#WHICH IS SOMETHING IDW ITSELF ARGUED AGAINST BC A LOT OF THE PRIMES THAT WERE CHOSEN BY THE MATRIX#WERE DICKS AND THE FACT THEY COULD WIELD THE MATRIX DIDN'T MAKE THEM GOOD PEOPLE#like oh my god stop using the matrix as an arbiter of moral authority in idw1 it literally goes against the themes of the story#including the themes that are embodied in rodimus himself#idw op love

reading dungeon meshi
#random thoughts#it has the kind of plot i hate where you retread the same plot point repeatedly while making progress elsewhere#like hi falin bye falin#like i cared about them finding falin. then they found her. and now she's gone again.#i don't like marcille but in like. a compelling way. she's my favorite archetype of character who is specifically female for some reason?#lady who thinks her way is the right way and she's morally right and therefore everyone else is wrong#high conscientiousness with low openness to experience. see themselves as agreeable dutiful and restrained while not being any of that#they tend to take on moralistic causes but they usually don't have a defined reason for WHY they're doing it so it just comes off as preachy#and the narrative tends to take their side with no basis in why#like when marcille tried to prove herself with the mandrakes and put everyone in danger and senshi conceded he was ALSO in the wrong???#and even marcille was like 'that wasn't my point at all'#that entire chapter made me mad it was so good#it's also doing that thing i hate when a piece of media introduces too many characters at once#like who's who what's what who is important who should i remember#i love the detail put into the cooking sessions!!!#i love how all the characters are so fucked up and not even in plot-important ways#like chilchuck's cowardice is very important to the plot but senshi was straight-up willing to let a man die for his flavorful cooking lmao#laios is. my man. i need him carnally.#i get that the whole 'got eaten by dragon' thing was not meant to be the Whole Plot but i feel like the background plot is just not my thing#either that or it wasn't set up in a compelling enough way?#idk. im still reading#all in all i think dungeon meshi might just not be my thing? plot-wise i mean. i love the characters and the general premise#of monster biology and environmentalism and cooking and augh#i don't like how everytime senshi corrects marcille on something so far he ends up going 'i guess i also need to learn a thing or two'#like on the mandrakes? the man has FIELD EXPERIENCE he was entirely in the right to prefer his method!!!#and on the environment thing? first of all marcille's whole thing is building artificial dungeons she SHOULD care about the food chain#SECOND OF ALL telling marcille she shouldn't kill so many fishmen isn't playing GOD or whatever#that kraken was a fucking. extenuating circumstance. it was literally there just to make marcille's argument credible#animals killing each other through the food chain is different from marcille using what is essentially a rocket launcher#god i ran out of tags. peace and luv bruvs 🤟 kind of have a hate crush on marcille now. need her

Can we... maybe stop hating on Eddie so hard? I get the fans for his character are passionate but just because you may not understand the love or think Argyle deserves it more (they can both be loved, okay?) or something doesn't mean that we should hate on Eddie this much, even going so far as to almost call Eddie fans bad stranger things fans or calling Eddie a bad character.
Eddie is literally the only character in the ENTIRETY of Stranger Things that is an outcast that also inspired the audience to see him as one right off the bat. All the other characters, we're encouraged to find reasons to like them immediately. Eddie though? He's loud, he's weird, he's jumping on the table and getting in girl's faces as they walk by minding their own business. He seems stubborn and a bit scary (evidenced by how worried Mike and Dustin were to ask him to move the DnD game). He was an outcast and for most of episode 1, the show asks you to look at him as one.
Until Crissy. We see he's actually kind. He's not that scary. He's sweet with her, and understanding. He's genuinely funny. You start to notice that his smile isn't fake, his eyes glint with this bright spark of life.
And then we watch him go through this season so incredibly scared. He's on the run for murder, and he's trying to understand all this supernatural stuff that's so much weirder than he is.
He was the only stranger things character NOT fighting to be himself. He already was himself, and at the first mistake, the first time he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, the world chased him down for it. He deserved to live, to get to be himself until he was old. And that's heartbreaking that he didn't get to.
I don't know how to explain to you guys the importance of EDDIE saying the line "Conformity's killing the kids". The one character in the whole show who isn't comforming. I don't know how to explain to you the layers of meaning in the fact that he's the only character who died this season. And I don't know how to explain to you the meaning of Eddie acting as a foil for Jason, who Lucas goes on to describe as "normal's a raging phycopath." Jason, the normal raging phycopath. Eddie, the weird and kind outcast.
Like, look, Eddie was really important. He was an incredible character. He was written with such love and care. He mattered to people. He mattered to the characters. What a complete insult to the story we all witnessed to say that Eddie barely had screentime, to say that he only died to "further Dustin's arc", that he didn't matter. To say that Argyle deserves that attention instead of Eddie. Argyle has his meaning too, as does every character here and we can love them for what they bring together.
Surely we can love these characters for the good they bring to our lives on an individual basis and encourage others to take whatever good from this show that they can, because there's a LOT of good here.
Because look, Eddie is one of those rare characters who mattered more to us the viewers than the other characters. WE needed to see him die. WE needed to learn from that. I get Eddie fans wanting him back, I wish he had lived too. I get why he won't return, but I won't begrudge them that feeling of wanting him back.
I get that crushing feeling of watching Eddie die and realizing just for far conformity was willing to go to kill the kids.
And all of that, absolutely ALL of it, would be completely gone and absent from this show without him.

One should play the Drakengard/nier games in reverse publishing order in order to get the most out of them. Like how Bloodborne can be said as to "teach you how to play Souls games", Automata followed by Drakengard 3 followed by Replicant teaches you how to read Drakengard as a metacommentary in a way that conceptually proves "just starting from the first game in the series" is doomed to leave you confused and angry and heartbroken; in this essay I will...
#but seriously: thing that seems to have been lost by new kids jumping on from automata... the meme used to be 'cavia hates you'#or to give it more context: cavia got sorta notorious as like evil!Kojima games; cavia *loves* games but *hates* players#yoko taro doesn't hate us anymore but he remembers when he did#and it's all over the newer games this... sorta step-by-step guide on how to read theme into game mechanics#if you just go from Automata -- a love letter -- to the first Drakengard -- an active sneering declaration of war...#it's not hard to see why people just bounce off like 'wow this game is shit'; bad-on-purpose/bad-for-a-purpose is sketch ground to pick#but the both necessary and entirely unnecessary ten thousand automata endings? that's a lesson.#drakengard 3 going so meta its plot implodes and all you're left with is the symbolic story? another#nier literally mocking you for doing unnecessary side quests and the only good ending is to literally not-play? now you're almost ready#if you can appreciate *what the game is saying* in nier by the easy gameplay doing just about everything to get you to the end#the same end that tells you your effort was less than pointless and then lights it on fire as it makes you watch#*now* you're ready to look at drakengard's maliciously jank gameplay and story that actively punishes you for digging and understand#(reason why nier both is and is not a drakengard game is in the difference between the maliciously too-easy gameplay#and 'we're the bad guys' this was all futile conclusion and drakengard's maliciously too-hard gameplay#and 'we're the bad guys but from the opposite angle' we as devs are literally laughing at you conclusion)#(and you can see that best in drakengard 3 which *is* a drakengard game through and through even with less jank mechanics)#heh hot take: drakengard and pathologic are kissing cousins#also also: Drakengard is to NIN's Hurt as Automata is to Cash's Hurt#(((but where's the essay OP? in the tags apparently; keep up :-p)))

by gods, for all that i fucking hated the second half of season 9 and had been hating Fiona's characterization since season 5 basically, her leaving doesn't get easier even if you watch the scenes 50 fucking times
#Shameless did Fiona dirty not gonna lie#her characterization progressively getting worse through the season only hurts second to what the show made out of Lip#Ian Gallagher truly the only character to have escaped Paul Abbott's characterization relatively unscathed and staying dear and lovable#till the very last minute#but also i did start on S10 and#popular opinion: Debbie is so fucking annoying and irritating#and a whole entire sack of absolutely irrelevant and nonsensical character traits. season 1 debbie would've roasted s10 debbie on open fire#possibly not so popular opinion: Paul Abbott is actually fucking bad at writing female characters with the exception of V and V ONLY#(okay Mandy too)#and the reason Debbie is fucking abhorrent is because she's literally written as later-seasons Fiona. She's her.#they were both fucked characterizations#it's just that Fiona had a bite and entered into games from the top spot; she took control of the situations naturally#because she //had// power. And Debbie has none. so she looks desperate and try-hard. Emmy Rossum brought a bitch flavour to Fiona#that Emma Kenney just can't bring to Debbie#¯\_(ツ)_/¯#not that i care. the entirety of Shameless cast have more or less become absolete in narrative and plot save Kev and V and Ian/Mickey#I hope Cameron Monaghan's health insurance covered for the fucked up back he got#from carrying Shameless US' only substantial and heartfelt and meaningful plotline for 12 years basically#Lip used to be wonderful. Hell; they all used to be wonderful. and by the time we get to S10 there's basically nothing left of the show#save Ian and Mickey. that's it.

Don't you hate it when a fic is exceptionally well written but there's one character that is so wildly out of character it's painful??
Like it's clear that the author put in so much effort, the descriptions are great and the dialogue is funny and the plot is interesting and the pacing is good and the characterisation is 99,9% perfect... but there's one character they very obviously don't like/don't understand at all and they write them SO wrong!!!

Last year Ian Flynn said that Sega gave him an answer on Silver's time travel. So it might get explained in the next two issues but if it was said at that point then it seems they really are going with the involuntary time travel.
Any explanation is better than none, though with the comics it is clear previously-established things can change on a dime... Silver's involuntary time travel directly contradicts earlier issues from the Metal Madness (is that Beeg Metal Sonic's name? I can never remember) saga, after all. I do however feel that the proposed setting of the coming two issues does not entirely lend itself to deep dives into Silver's time travel, considering the whole Silver Is Going To Accuse Duo/Mimic Of Sussiness While Being Cringefail (And No-one Will Listen To Him) plot that the two solicitations tell us is going to happen. I'm not sure how any deep, actual exploration of Silver's time travel abilities fit in there, assuming they will give us something more substantial than the two or three throwaway lines we've had about that topic so far. Though on the other hand, since the solicit for #64 also says "Then, Blaze comforts Silver as they bond over being away from home and in Sonic's world.", maybe they could talk about it there?
Honestly, I just want answers, and then preferably something that also makes the tiniest bit of sense. I don't like the idea that Silver cannot control his time travel, but I can make more peace with it if we have any idea how it works and what does control it.

Forgot to make this joke observation yesterday:
If Izzy Hands is the neglected wife that the main fandom irrationally hates and wants dead for the crime of being a perceived threat to their favored gay ship, then Calico Jack is the established love interest fridged in their first ep.
A decent sized chunk of the fandom can look back on them fondly like "wow that was such a cool character" and "we deserved so much more of them" even though you know - you know - if they had actually stuck around to threaten the favored gay ship most of those same fans would have eaten them alive.

The way some people talk about Vicky’s writing in comparison to the new team kinda reminds me of how Pokemon Anime fans miss 4kids a lot and swear that if the 4kids dub kept going then the anime would have been infinitely better, and then you see how much of a meme some parts of the original dub were plus different fandoms with 4kids dubs wanted their heads on a stick. And it’s like yeah comparatively the new team is worse and the ogs got a raw deal but lets not get ahead of ourselves- itd still kinda suck
#its definitely a meme and its funny to laugh at jelly donuts and bad sandwich edits but like.#4kids was like. objectively not good at adaptation. theyd keep out shit all the time like literally changing entire plotlines#and yeah the new voice team is comparatively worse but on my rewatch i noticed that the dub changes went WAY down#cause im also reading the bulbapedia page for each episode and they list the dub changes. and ofc they still change things#but they dont like remove and insert plotlines like 4kids did. for better or for worse#best i can think of is when they removed goh’s rillaboom parents talking in the dub removing the implication that theyre his parents#which like. his parents are dark skinned so honestly that was for the best#ok uh back to wc. yeah vicky is comparatively a better writer and its good to distinguish whats her vs the new team#but some people seem to think that vickys work was fantastic compared to this#and comparatively it is better but like… lets not forget the new team had to fix the insanely misogynistic ashfur plot from po3 and oots#lets not forget they had to point out that bumblestripe was a creep vs vicky saying ‘’uwu hes soft and dove is so cute with him’’#shes the one who went on that whole rant about how the fandom forced her to kill ferncloud#hollyleafs entire deal was an ACCIDENT that she just admitted with her whole chest#she believed that pairings without constant toxic arguments and threats of cheating were boring and thats why she killed sorreltail#and did the unpleasant cloudbright vs daisy deal and spotted/fire/sand in firestars quest#i mean part of the reason bramble x squirrel is so toxic is bc she likes it like that and thinks its healthy wnd good#im pretty sure she was behind clear sky getting two fridged wives in a single book#shes better than the new team but like… is that much of a compliment

Why did the author kill you off?
Tumblr media
SOMEBODY HAD TO DIE. sorry, kid. really, honestly, i'm sorry. someone had to die, for one reason or another, and you drew the short straw this time around. this wasn't a matter of surprise. no, your death wasn't meant to be a shock, wasn't meant to rattle the audience to their core. your life was a debt, an obligation. somebody had to go, because the story needed weight, needed sacrifice, needed the conflict to have consequences. maybe you had the perfect balance of "emotional impact" and "lack of loose ends", or maybe the author just didn't know what else to do with you. regardless... you deserved better. another writer could have given you more time and a better death, if even a death at all. at least your fans will never forget- at least they will forge their own stories, tales in which you live to see another day.
absolutely yoinked off @hexsreality ♥ yoink it from me if u please :3
