okay SO! i actually have had a bsd gaiden csm au collecting dust for. over a year now 💔 i really like it though and i want to be able to get back to it, i just. don't know enough about csm to build off of it (i desperately need to read the manga. the reze movie trailer dropping is probably my sign to continue). basically in terms of casting: kyogoku as the yokai devil, ayatsuji as the accident fiend, and tsujimura as a devil hunter + contracted with the shadow devil. maybe one day i'll finish the designs and share it on here lol

the wip in particular is about how tsujimura forced ayatsuji to feed on her blood so he could heal and finish off whatever devil they were up against. the thing about devils is that they can heal when drinking blood, and that tsujimura knows this—being injured, she forces ayatsuji to drink her blood so he could finish the devil off. it helped obv and the wip starts off with ayatsuji being eerily silent while aiding tsujimura up.

she asks the question if he's mad, and he redirects the question into something along the lines of hurting herself even more to heal him, instead of retreating and getting themselves aid from public safety. they get into this argument about the value of their lives—ayatsuji thinks of her actions as reckless and downright idiotic, but after some rebuttals, tsujimura snaps, saying through tears that she panicked and it hurt seeing ayatsuji all injured and practically lifeless. it grows quiet. and ayatsuji? he laughs.

remember that devils find pain and misery hilarious. so tsujimura is obviously even more pissed by him laughing at her but he manages to calm down, saying that it's nothing and that they should head back before ango gets too stressed about them.

before going, ayatsuji offhandedly mentions that he's made the right choice choosing her as his partner. this leaves her confused, and when she asks about it on the way back, he doesn't elaborate.

it's the fact that tsujimura sees value towards life around her, even in death, even in a devil like him—she would be sorry to see him go, like she would for anybody. that's what he admires most about her.

the conversation is heavily inspired by tbhk's chapter 99 and 100 (night out part 2 and 3), in particular the conversation between mitsuba and kou <33

HELLO!! ok so basically I saw a fanart of tsujimura on the beach (I'll link it tomorrow when I have a wifi connection and can actually open anything other than my notifs lol) and went a little bit insane.

the basic concept is what if tsujimura and ayatsuji were out and about together on a case tsujimura was investigating and one thing led to another and it just becomes ayatsuji admiring tsujimura and immediately wanting to claw his brains out about it.

this is such an oversimplification because a) it'll be on tsujimura pov b) it has character study elements a lot and c) she's clueless as ever. but while it's sweet there are bitter undertones to it; her feeling so happy under these fireworks with ayatsuji by her side but knowing that it's growing more difficult to justify keeping this assignment when she knows he's not going to tell her anything more about her mother. having this peaceful moment but knowing it cannot be anything more. you know.

also ayatsuji is definitely having intense stareoffs with kyougoku in their typical weird I will haunt you forever and you're not making as much effort as you should to shoo me off way while tsujimura isn't looking
