Hazbin Hotel Episode Rewrites

Episode 1 (will be doing all of them)

Take out the “precious daughter” line. This makes no sense seeing how Lilith ditched the family and Lucifer is supposed to be super distant. We get 0 evidence these were involved, doting parents that put a bunch of effort into raising Charlie. Perhaps change it to “And now, its up to their precious daughter” meaning Charlie has taken it upon herself to mend things, instead of making it sound like she’s been coached all along for her role.

Adam and Lute are put off to find out its Charlie meeting with them, not Lucifer as usual. The meeting was arranged because of the very important matter of an exterminator angel being killed for the first time ever, and an important discussion was needed. Adam is much less a 1 dimensional comic relief dude bro.

“So, are you taking over extermination arrangements for now on?”

“Uh, no...actually, it was just kind of out of the blue that he told me about the meeting and asked me to come-”

(seriously, Lucifer supposedly didn’t know about the hotel, or at least he pretended not to, lets just assume he does but didn’t let on to Charlie that he’s watching her)

“Did he tell you why?”

“Ah, no-but, it was really convenient because you see, I have an idea that would actually END the need for exterminations-”

At this point Adam is seriously put off. They just found out demons can kill angels-this has to be a distressing revelation. Now of all times, the guy they have a serious deal with chooses to send someone who wants to talk about ENDING the exterminations? This would almost feel like a threat. So now they want out of the deal? No way! He would feel a need to reassert dominance and get things back under control. Who do these demons think they are? Cue their aggressive mocking and song, followed by throwing Charlie out as they do in the actual episode. He doesn’t even bother to explain why they are moving the extermination up. He’s not going to talk to Charlie. She has not established any sort of repertoire with him that makes him feel as though she is worth having an actual discussion with about a serious matter.

Commercial subplot: Alastor offers a deal to Vaggie in order to help make a successful commercial for Charlie.

“You’re insane, I’d never make any sort of deal with some shitlord

“Hm, such a pity, Charlie will be so let down to see how you fail to manage her project even a day without her. She has to do everything. Why are you even around? Do you really think the princess of hell needs physical protection from a sinner with a spear?”

*sighs* “You making the video for me isnt going to help that.”

“My dear, it wasnt raw power that bent all of Hells sinners to my will. You seem to know me quite well...(this is where we can reintroduce the Alastor lore Vaggie game to Angel Dust in the pilot, instead of waiting until the Mimzy episode to give anything) ...so you see, I have no problems getting things done, and I would be willing to teach you. Imagine what Charlie could achieve, and how much quicker, if she had a competent partner at her side…”

“I’m not making a deal! And you can have fun entertaining yourself with an empty hotel. Nobodys going to want to come to a place a powerful overlord like you so obviously takes as a joke”

“Well, I WILL make a worthy advertizement for the hotel, but I’m going to do it the RIGHT way, and do it for radio!”

She doesn’t make a deal here, but the seeds have now been sown. Her insecurity and feelings of inadequacy and worthlessness are gnawing. She has little feelings of self worth-would it be so bad to sacrifice herself in a deal with Alastor if it meant assuring Charlie achieves her dream? She is tempted.

Vaggie uses a little cunning here. While Alastor manipulates the inhabitants of the hotel to give fantastic line deliveries using a variety of amusing tactics, Vaggie secretly records with the video camera. At the end of the day, Alastor smugly announces that he has the radio ad all ready. When Charlie returns, Vaggie cuts in and says radio AND television ad! The ad then starts to play and is cut off by the news like in the actual episode. Alastor was initially amused she tried to make a tv ad anyway, but he sees enough to tell that she recorded him making the radio ad. His smile tightens, eyes narrow, and he fades off.

Can you elaborate on previous Darius post?

Darius is mean. He's fucking mean. Darius isn't like Raine, who always knew fascism is bad and has been intentionally working their way up the ladder with the intention to stop it, knowing they will have to make hard decisions that hurt others on the way. Darius got that job because he wanted it. He didn't think anything was wrong UNTIL Raine turned out to be a rebel, and he decided he trusted raine's judgement above his orders. Like. He heel turned at the last minute. He's not like. A perfect dude.

And moreso like. Darius was just. Not good??? To hunter??? In the emperor's coven??? You can absolutely write or draw Darius coming to his fucking senses earlier than he does in canon, but. In canon he does not care about Hunter. He is not nice to him. The very first thing Darius ever says to him is a deep annoyed sigh and ugh, we rescheduled the meeting, so, "run along and do your arts and crafts, or, whatever it is you do" with a little mocking wave. Then he yanks off his patched up cape and laughs at him mockingly before he realizes it's his mentors sigil and he stops laughing and suddenly he's like legitimately mad at this teenage boy about this. He takes his cape and gets INTO it and calls him the emperor's nephew and implies he's a nepo baby and he's weak and useless and that his predecessor was one of the greatest witches to ever live, but Hunter being canonically disabled makes him pathetic and that he will never ever live up to the shoes he's trying to fill. The man knows everything. He knows hunter is supposedly belos's nephew. We know that he knows hunter is sixteen because HE is the one that tells US he's sixteen. He knows EXACTLY what the golden guard role entails because his mentor was one. He knows that hunter is a disabled teenage soldier and he has an overwhelming amount of evidence to make the assumption that he is also an orphan. And yet he stands there and mocks him and laughs at him and rubs his face in the fact he thinks he's useless and should be ashamed of himself for- you know. Being disabled.

Not to mention that like. The scene where Darius gives hunter a scroll is cute. Or like. It would be. If he hadn't just threatened to hit him?? Like it wasnt even that he was willing to FIGHT him. Hunter was standing still and Darius thought it would be funny to raise his hand like he was about to hit him, he let him flinch and squeeze his eyes shut and brace to be hit and to take it and he thought it was funny to be like psyche haha dink! I tapped your head. Psyche! You really thought I was gonna hit you lol huh? Thats not funny. That's not funny????? Why did you even do that? You didn't change your mind or something. He'd already decided not to hit him. Why did you pretend like you were going to hit him????

Like I am THE Darius guy, I've written an OBSCENE amount of Darius, I've written an OBSCENE amount of Dadrius myself, and "au where Darius decided to be nice to hunter earlier" is great and all but. That is not canon. He would not do that. Not in canon. In canon Darius is cool with mocking disabled and (probably) orphaned teenage soldiers and that doesn't change until hunter does something that makes him think he DESERVES to be treated with respect. He's a kid. That's insane. Darius thats a whole ass child. The fuck are you doing

•dally does NOT wanna b touched or seen but his image being messed up bc he went out w shitty hair outweighs those feeling so he lets tim

•tim was scolding dally, and dally is angrily smoking telling tim to shut up, the nerve of this guy🤦🏽‍♀️

•thankfully, they arent in their neighborhood so dally feels a bit more comfortable going outside and they go out to a diner with tim paying

•tim would just be, staring, at him, not in any particular way, just getting a good look at him and dally HATES it, its like hed really seem, but tim ends up saying he doesnt look that bad w his new hair, he probably prefers him w his other hair, but he doesnt look THAT bad

•dally feels really stupid for cutting his hair and tim teases that yea it was pretty stupid, at some point tim would be teasing dally for his hair and dally would get mad each and everytime

ABSTRACT- if you were to ever abstract he would probably abstract himself. i mean if the things about queener/queenie are true and they were close, then that would mean this guy would lose a loved one TWICE. that would most definitely break someone, and kinger is already on the edge as it is. if he somehow doesnt abstract, he probably becomes even more paranoid; kind of shutting everyone out almost because he sure as hell knows he cant take a third heartbreak. rarely ever leaves his pillow fort, unless hes physically dragged out? sometimes he forgets you're gone, because he just refuses to believe the truth. sad stuff

BONDING- will rattle on and on about cool bug facts, if he has his own collection in his room he will show you it! maybe, if you want, he will let you hold some of the critters! tells a lot of stories, nicer ones from when things in the circus arent so... bad.. usually when hes in a good headspace! you get the feeling he embellishes his stories... not too different from a grandfather trying to make his experiences seem more glamorous and action packed than they really were

CUDDLING- he is very hard, due to him being a chess piece, but his clothes do a really good job at softening him! no arms :(... usually rests his hands on your back, or maybe has one on your shoulder and the other on your hip. switches between being big and little spoon, sometimes he wants to hold and sometimes he wants to be held

DATES- you can find them here!

EMOTION- kinger is... odd... im not sure where he lies, because i think sometimes he does have moments where he remembers thing and it overwhelms him, so that may be the main time hes the emotional one. however, i guess this entire time for emotional ive been focusing on more.. 'bad' emotions, but i think kinger would gush about how much he loves you, like WOAH! he is just overflowing with feelings right now

FAMILY- honestly he gives me dad vibes, if this dude doesnt already have kids in the real world (wow thats a sad thought... dude is like MIA probably and his kids are left to wonder where he went. double owie if queener/queenie was his real life wife before things happened) so if you guys make it back to the real world and unite, you're gonna be a step parent! would he like to have more kids with you? i think it depends, he would want it, though!

GIFT- you know how some people put bugs in like, cases to preserve them or something? i feel like he would give you those with some of his prettier bugs! loves anything you give him, he always keeps them stored safe in his room!

HARSH- you guys dont really get into arguments, i dont think! kinger doesnt like hiding things from you unless its something deeply personal, but otherwise hes an open book to you

JEALOUSY- its not so much as him being jealous as it is him being paranoid that something is going to happen to him or you, so! even if he wasnt worrying himself half to death he doesnt exactly seem like the jealous type to me, tbh

KISS- its time for my favorite thing for characters with no mouth!!! he boinks his face into yours, i actually wrote something for this! not gonna link it since its so short and i can easily relay the idea: but he would internally hype himself up (usually does this if this is the beginning of the relationship, he gets more confident as time goes on!), and just lightly 'pecks' your cheek before pulling away. loves kissing your cheeks as well as the back of your hands. loves being kisses where his mouth would be as well as his cheeks

LOVE LANGUAGE- quality time!! this man follows you around like a love sick puppy, because he loves you so much but also because again, he worries.. he also likes doing acts of service for you, makes him feel like hes capable of doing things on his own (which he is!). loves it when you return the favor via words of affirmation

MENDED- is he dreaming? is he imagining things again?

nope, its really you. somehow, you've recovered from abstracting, and you're now out of the cellar. he wants to hold you and never ever ever let you go, out of fear that hes going to come to his senses any second and youll be gone. wants to keep you in the pillow fort with him, or at least within his line of sight

NO- its less of an active dealbreaker and more of a "hey this is going to stress him out and probably hurt his mental health" but like, i dont think he would pair well with a really really intense person. like sure caien is pretty intense, but its not like caine is going to be spending a significant amount of time with him everyday, but like. you know? like i talk about some characters enjoying being on their toes and left guessing in regards to their partner, but kinger is NOT one of those people. he needs stability

PDA- less of a case where he actively and knowingly indulges in PDA and more so a case where he subconsciously holds onto your hand to keep you at arms length and to feel you. due to his lack of arms he has probably wandered off without you (and his hand) at least once. is not opposed to PDA, though, so long as its not like. insane

QUIET TIME- quiet time between the two of you is very rare. sure kinger can be very quiet when hes alone, but when hes alone with someone else, someone he cares so much about.. he cant help but fill the silence with words, to keep the ringing in his ears at bay .. so really quiet time is talking time

ROSES- ill mention it again in V (i wrote v before this section), he loves giving you roses especially on special occations! loves receiving flowers as well, he seems like a rose kind of guy as well

SHH- the one thing he doesnt like talking about is queener/queenie, well, more so the last few days leading up to her abstraction. it brings up. well, memories. on one hand he doesnt want to forget her, but on the other hand he doesnt want to bare the pain of those terrible memories

TUNES- THIS THIS THIS THIS ONE ALWAYS COME TO MY HEAD WHEN I THINK OF ROMANTIC HCS FOR SWEETIDEAS FOR OLDER GUYS IDK WHY

UPSET- im going back and forth with a lot of these as i fill in the list so! tying this in with E, i mention one of the only times he gets emotional is when he remembers some unfortunate events that took place in the circus. you're going to need to console him and bring him back to the present moment :(. when you're upset he tries to distract you, takes you to his fort, and tells you stories

VALENTINE- on the chance that he remembers what day it is, hes going to give you the most sterotypical date he can give to you. i think it might be because i can kind of see kinger as like, a classic/stereotypical romantic when it comes to you. flowers, he cant take you out to dinner so he takes you out to the digital lake to gaze at the clouds and watch the bugs pass

WANT- he wants a companion, he wants stability, and thats something he needs. he wants someone to be compassionate about him, his wellbeing, and his interests

ZZZ- if you guys go to sleep together its always in his room, where hes more comfortable. he also has a thing where he insists on being the one closer to the door; almost as if hes offering himself as protection to you should someone unwanted to come in. huh. always sleep holding onto you, snores like a dad

Final Thoughts on RVB Restoration

SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT:

wow. i have A LOT to say about this

first, lets start with the things i really liked about this finale:

red team fight scenes. simmons and grif fighting the meta was so good, especially simmons being SO BADASS. simmons stans were fed well. i always love seeing the reds and blues fighting, even if theyre not good, as opposed to freelancers fighting

caboose did a lot and i think had some solid development (as much as he could get in only an hour and 25 mins, at least) and it seems like they made him less dumb?? which is fine with me, it almost seemed like he matured. i also kinda liked seeing caboose being thrown around and beaten up cause it HURT ME SO MUCH but i love being hurt (i love caboose this isnt meant to be an insult to him). it was also just so surreal seeing caboose actually being hurt in an animation because he always managed to avoid major beatings like that before. him and tucker having a brief moment together was soul crushing and i wish we couldve had more of that

tucker being influenced by the meta has been a thing since the s13 finale and seeing it actually happen was really cool

tex being brought back was kind of a meh thing for me. i think everything tex related shouldve just been left in s10 because that season really wrapped it all up nicely. i did enjoy having her back, though, just for the sake of her as a character cuz i love her. and her and church together was so fucking cute and heartbreaking

sarge dying to save caboose was obviously fucking SADDENING but also sweet in a way cause i love caboose being the honorary red member. he loves his blue son

again, simmons being a badass was so fucking good

the grimmons scene with grif saying "come with me" was romantic as hell 😭😭😭

now, the things i DIDNT like:

really unfortunate that the movie/season was only 1 hr 25 mins. it really limited what they could do with the plot and characters, but i understand if it wasnt possible for RT to do more due to warner bros for example

churchs whole youtube video thing was kinda funny but also dragged on for too long and was the perfect example of "show dont tell" NOT being implemented

a lot of stuff felt ooc, like how the reds didnt wanna help caboose at all. the beginning with epsilon showing up was understandable with how they didnt want to get involved, but later on the ship they just leave caboose to be choked out by the meta? THAT part didnt feel like the reds at all. grif also for some reason was so fucking mad and yelling a lot? idk where all that came from? it was so random like grif chill dude 😭

wash just being stuck in a mental hospital for something we dont even find out about until the end, which in a story sense isnt inherently bad obviously and can really add to the narrative, but in this case it just felt so confusing and like it didnt make sense. why would carolina and the reds and blues just let that happen to wash? not to say that getting help with mental health is bad or anything, just what i mean is they dont seem to care that hes gone or anything and dont visit him and hes treated like hes crazy the whole time hes in the hospital

479er being alive was really awesome, but it came out of nowhere (i understand that this is also probably due to the runtime restraint)

WHERE THE HELL WERE DONUT AND LOPEZ THE WHOLE TIME???? lopez showed up once and donut was in a 5 second thought bubble from simmons? the FINAL season of rvb and they dont even have the full crew of characters fighting together one last time? nobody talked about them at all? come on guys

the beginning with the convention was just really unnecessary and boring

why does nobody seem to care that TUCKER IS MISSING WITH MAINES ARMOR?? it feels like everyone just got brainwashed to forget about all the years they spent being friends

HELLO THIS IS NOT THE SAME GRIF AND SIMMONS WE'VE BEEN WITH ALL THESE YEARS. wheres that tweet saying "found family separating after the journey is bs" cause thats how i feel about that. 21 years spent building up these amazing relationships between these amazing characters just for them to seemingly not give a shit about each other?? is simmons just alone in blood gulch with tucker and caboose now?? 💀💀💀

i understand because he was the meta, tucker didnt have control, but it was still unfortunate to barely have any tucker this season

i understand that the meta was a threat to everybodys lives, but it feels like everyone was just ok with killing tucker to be able to kill the meta. it wouldve been so much better and angstier if they were having difficulties with it because thats their friend

why did one have to show up. i dont really have anything personal against her as a character or anything but i wouldve really preferred any and all things related to zero to just be wiped off the face of the planet

the music was just terrible. really unfortunate they wouldnt have trocadero return :( it felt so unnerving having this weird stock music playing whenever people were just standing and talking. throughout all of rvb, 99% of the standing talking scenes never had any music so this was so bizarre

some animated scenes looked really off, idk if it was just me

one personal gripe i have that doesnt actually really matter that much to the overall season, but it really bothered me, is that that IS NOT HOW THE BUBBLE SHIELD WORKS!!! i think technically we've never actually seen the bubble shield be entered or exited on screen so i guess you could argue that it works differently from how they work in halo? idk still bothered me

this season in general just felt like an AU?? even 15 through 17 felt more real as seasons of rvb than this did, and i HATED season 16, so thats saying something

and of course, grimmons. big congrats to RT for the longest queerbaited couple in i think tv show history. this one really pisses me off the most because just. how. theres a difference between a queer ship existing because people like it, and a queer ship existing because there was actual subtext and clues and their relationship is written so perfectly and its been around for so long that so many queer people came to really love and identify with it in spite of how shitty they were treated. idc, grimmons is canon in all of our hearts, fuck that

a great point from mod janae: the whole point of rvb, which aiden price even talks about, is that they come together as friends/family and even though they individually suck, together they can do anything, and a better ending wouldve been not to bring back tex carolina or even wash but to have gotten all the reds and blues back together to stop the meta. it was never about being the strongest but about working together

in general, i did not like the season. it had a few things i liked, but obviously the cons outweigh the pros here and so overall, i hated it. i mightve hated it even more than season 16 which is insane because ill fight tooth and nail for why season 16 is such a catastrophe. really disappointing that this is how rvb ends. i wouldve much preferred a cheesy "friendship defeats the bad guy and saves the day" ending because that IS what rvb is to a degree. anyways i understand how GOT fans feel now

The Revenant Games - Margie Fuston (8/10)

I'll start this off by saying what i thought prior to reading it. Cos i wrote what I thought down so i could do this lol

What grabbed my attention first, was the name. The Revenant Games, Revenant tends to mean someone come back from the dead, and well, I've always loved books with aspects like that. Then, the cover. It's not exactly too original, in fact on the same day I bought this book, I bought another book with a similar format on the cover. Yet it still intrigued me. I've never been too interested in stories with games and the such (Like the Hunger Games and many others like that), but vampires and witches? Resurrection? Immortality? All are in my top five favourite things, only ones it was missing was polygamy, LGBT+ stuff, and the fae.

And now, to the actual book. I wrote this last night, directly after finishing it (at 11pm).

I must say, I didnt start reading this book with high expectations. The reviews....hadn't exactly painted the best picture. Nonetheless, after reading, while those bad reviews did have points, for me the good outweighed the bad.

Many reviews stated that this was blatantly copying The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins), just with witches and vampires. Honestly? They're right. The first thing I noticed when reading, is that the writing style was suspiciously similar to The Hunger Games. The way she met Emerson? In the woods, suspicious, sorta watching. Her sister, whom shes doing this all for? Liked by everyone, probably favourite kid (definitely favourite kid). Love triangle between Dude Who Helped Her That One Time and Guy From Home That She Maybe Liked For ages. The actual games were a bit different, but the bare bones were highly similar. But either way, lets get into the characters.

First, our main girl. Bly. She's the least favourite in the family, and she's highly stubborn and freespirited. And honestly, it was rather refreshing to have a female main character whom instead of being like all those 'not like the other girls' girls, refusing to wear fancy stuff, she REALLY wanted a dress, and a ribbon, and a lot of that 'shallow' type stuff. Either way, except for the first part, set a year before the books events, her goal remains the same, with a bit of flexibility in the end. Her goal is to bring her sister back to life, as she blames herself for her death. And honestly? Only development of note that Bly gets is realising she wasnt rlly in love with Guy From Home, she just sorta fantasised about him, and that she has a vampire kink.

Next, Elise. She's not really included in the book, we dont really get anything but memories of her, stories of her. She's our main characters dead sister, and the cause of Bly participating in the games. She's put on a pedestal, likely because when a characters dead, only alive in memories, people tend to say they are better than they were.

Emersons next, and honestly? I don't much like him. At the start I did, but as the book is from Blys perspective, and she mostly just fantasised about him, we saw him in the light she did, where she idolised him. As time goes on, flaws become more apparent. He's cold, rather selfish, and i Just dont like him. Bly shouldve taken the vampire prize instead.

Kerrigans pretty cool. He's a vampire and Blys main love interest. And you know whats amazing? This fucker aint a 200+ yr old dating a teen!!! Bodily, he's 18. But otherwise, just in his early to mid twenties!! (heard others say he was 24, but i dont quite remember). He's got a backstory, and hes got a pretty cool personality. He does that sort of thing I do, where he wears masks of personalities. Cant really say much more without spoilers.

Last person I'm gonna mention is Benedict. Benedict appeared about 3 times, only for maybe a page each time. Benedict is by FAR my favourite i just love him.

Other characters of note that I cant really bother talking about and dont have much to say about are Donovan (Kerrigans brother, hes got some stuff at the end but its all big spoilery stuff), Nova and Vincent (Twins, theyre pretty cool, in Bly and Emersons team in the revenant games), and Demezela, a fuckass witch (I HATE HER GUTS AGH)

Next, we're onto worldbuilding Many people had problems with aspects, like the origins of witches and vampires, but honestly? The characters dont know what happened, not the humans or the vampires or the witches, so why should we know? Others also have issues with the games themselves. They say why would the vampires and witches encourage humans to hunt them? Well one big reason, is immortality. They get bored. They want to feel alive. So they risk their lives. And they want the blood of the enemy side. Theres many other reasons it could be, but on the side of vampires we hear the boredom side a lot.

And onto the plot. So, I wasnt really into it at the start, although by page 30 I was honestly quite enjoying it, although Bly was infuriating at times. Vampires, witches, murder...its cool. Also at the beginning Kerrigan sorta flirted with Vincent and Emerson so bonus points? There were some scenes that sorta meant nothing to the plot but i loved them anyway. Vampires? Making out? Bites? Sign me up, am I right?

Havent been doing brilliant recently but this has been a great distraction, even if it only took me three nights to read (i went to bed at 11pm i swear!!! Reasonable time!!!)

Overall yeah, I really enjoyed the book

okay okay okay oka. that interlude was so fucking good it both answered some of my questions and also gave me SO MANY MORE QUESTIONS. as soon as kevin started talking about being the most powerful man in the world i KNEW. i KNEW it was gonna be some scion bullshit. at first i thought it was gonna be like some... witch from beauty and the beast bullshit where he Was Actually scion just. posing as an eccentric homeless guy out of costume. which would have disappointed me i think because i am so dead set on scion Not Being Human.

WHICH. I FEEL SO STRONGLY IN MY HEART THIS CHAPTER SUPPORTED SO WELL. when they described how Simurgh first appeared floating motionless over a city. dude. dude. my first fucking thought with that was "hey that sounds like what people say about scion." he doesnt speak. his face never moves. hes extremely powerful, so far the only person powerful to drive away the endbringers. he's GOTTA be the same type of thing they are. not human, never was human, but for some reason he Looks Human. like... simurgh does too, but shes still huge and has weird proportions and the wings. scion as far as i know is normal sized and looks mostly human besides being gold. i havent figured that out yet

having a LOT OF FEELINGS about . the whole reason scion does what he does is because some miserable man with a heart of gold told him to. side note i reallyyyy really got attached to kevin i liked him a lot :( that brings into question SO MANY fucking things about the endbringers. this is full on mac ghostiezone game theory moment at this point but. i dont know where they came from, but it seems like at their first appearance they were... susceptible to orders? and this just happened to be an extremely lucky right place at the right time moment. I cant even imagine a world where scion wasnt a "hero" and was instead a force of destruction like the endbringers. which brings up the question... did anyone else try to talk to the endbringers at their first appearances? i cant IMAGINE anyone would willingly go near leviathan or behemoth considering their more monstrous dangerous appearance . but what about simurgh? im acting on the assumption that the endbringers are some sort of Creation and i dont know what their purpose is but either option 1: someone DID talk to the other 3 and it was someone with extremely bad intentions and gave them the orders to become what they are now or option 2: nobody said shit to them and theyre acting on base instinct????? idk. im viewing the endbringers more like. animals or natual disasters than anything and i dont know if thats exactly correct to do but its how my brain works. so.

the big difference between them is that... scion acts with a Goal, where the endbringers seem more like forces of nature that dont really act with any sort of. purpose. simurgh is the exception to this though since she went out of her way to obscure the information about power origins from reaching dragon and also the way she acts makes it seem like... she Knows something. i dont know i still have sooo many questions.

im REALLY worried about whats gonna happen now that kevin gave him the new order to kill. im really worried its gonna be like a monkeys paw situation where... maybe one or all of the endbringers will die, but then what the fuck does he do after that. come back to whats her name (is it lisette?) for more orders? theres no guarantee lisette will be anywhere near as. idk. selfless? as kevin? that feels wrong. idk. she seemed scared of that situation and didnt want the responsibility placed on her so what if she avoids it and never gives scion any other orders???? will he just fall back on old programming and start killing other "bad" things???? is THIS how the fucking apocalypse starts. this has gotta be connected to the apocalypse in some way i can feel it in my bones. scion with kill orders makes me feel crazy.

came back here on tumblr after literal years just for gomens 2 stuff and i got a notif from you. I feel happy seeing your blog again,, so its so surprising for me that you disliked s2, purely just bc youre someone i consider as monumental to the entire fandom bc of your loyalty pre-TV era. so it's intriguing to know your thoughts abt the tv version.

i read your points and DAMN you reminded me of the stuff i didnt like back in s1 that I FORGOT bc so many years have passed since i watched + read the series. I forgot how much I loved bastard, asshole Aziraphale. TV him is characterized as 100% good, better than heaven dude which isn't bad.. and hes very fluffy and adorable. But i always liked the difference between that and crowley being a demon and yet nice. i always missed him calling him "my dear" too. If theyre gonna make them lovey dovey in TV, make him call him my dear damn it!!

As a book fan too, i personally loved s2. But reading your points made me realize it wasnt completely perfect so I respect your side. I do hope s3 turns out to be better than our expectations so you can tune back to it again. I just want you to have more content that you can enjoy even if it's completely new stuff. I understand the feeling so bad of having new stuff but being unable to enjoy it (a diff show for me). Makes you wonder what kind of plot he and Terry originally planned for all this fanservicey stuff to happen. I agree about the book part too, Crowley would never throw those around! The part with them meeting as angels, honestly I think it wouldve been better if they just didn't remember it so they wouldn't ruin their first meeting in the book. It would've been fine as a throwaway like "they met but don't remember."

With the finale,, hmmm I think TV!Azira's characterization def plays a part in why he did it. TV!him screams as someone who is still insecure about being an angel and losing his privileges. So he took the only opportunity he could to change heaven so he and Crowley could live in peace, after seeing Gabriel who is alr so powerful, be cast away after that decision. I'm curious though, how would you think book!him would think in this decision?? With an Armageddon 2 coming up again I can't imagine of anything else the two of them could do to fight it again w/o an influence in higher power.

So let's say that Metatron directly went to him after everything had happened and Gabriel had already ran off and offered him the position (with an offer he can't refuse) -- I think he would have to accept on the surface, and then he would immediately go to Crowley to try to work their way out of it/figure out a way to keep the position but still slacks off all the time like he's always done 😂😂

hi guys i want to break down these panels into my own thoughts bc im unwell 🫶🫶🫶

first off - after ages of not seeing each other slade is taking out rose for some fuckass mission as an excuse to see her, normal dad behaviour ig. but as they talk, slade is consistently berating her for her actions and her small talk with him such as explaining how she wasnt screwing the guy slade found in her bed yappa yappa yappa.

slade criticises her, claiming that because she was telling him these things (making basic small talk with her dad) that clearly she cared what he thought - which is *weakness* and means ‘shes not ready’ but the thing is, he doesnt even know what hes talking about himself.

rose is justifiably confused and asks “ready for what?” to which slade doesnt even have a valid answer. as usual, slade is trying to emotionally push rose away and keep her on her toes. he expects rose to to be prepared for “anything” but cant even tell her the specifics because he doesnt know what she should be prepared for either. realistically, he knows rose is capable for herself yet he continues to put her down so she can ‘do better’

Right after that its clear to see that rose feels hurt. She asks him “how long have you thought that?” showing that Rose must have thought she already met his impossible standards, yet apparently she never did which makes her doubt herself.

Even Slade is confused with himself - this whole time hes been making things up to keep her at an arms length and encourage her to work on herself in his own weird way. The way right after, Rose begins listing the things shes gone through and overcome in order to get his approval which she assumed she got.

“Ive studied your tactics. Ive mastered…”

“Nothing”

Slade immediately tears her down again, destroying the belief that she had finally gained his approval through overcoming all these challenges, yet her assumptions were ‘wrong’.

It shows how no matter how damaged their relationship consistently becomes, Rose still wishes that her father would be proud of her for her achievements, but now she completely doubts herself and all shes done because he thinks shes mastered “nothing”.

You and Red lay on the floor, both far too tired to do anything despite the massive amount of paperwork laying on your desk.

"so uh, you got anything ya gotta do today?" Red asked, still laying on the floor. You knew what he was gonna ask, he asked every day.

"Red, I don't know why you bother asking me, yeah I'll come with." Every day, you both went to the bar in the hideout you both worked at.

He let out a shallow laugh, a chuckle if you will. Good friends y'all were, knew each other since you stated working for the Mafia you found yourself in.

Absentmindedly, you both chatted and allowed anything you both thought to be a topic of choice. You both even talked about deviled eggs for some reason?

After a good hour of nothing, it was decided to go ahead and get going. However, as you pulled you boots back onto you one of the assistances barged in... rather rudely.

"30 minutes, the bosses want to see you." she looked at you, not red, who actually worked alongside the bosses, but you and only you.

You'd had interactions with the higherups before but very briefly and if give you anxiety just thinking back on those situations. You sat next to a computer all day, never on the field- so your social skills weren't exactly in tip top shape.

You were always told the Bosses were very odd characters, with their leader of leaders being the strangest; none of them were stable though, you knew that for a fact. However, with that being said, all you interactions with there were... different.

Horror: never talked, and if he did you knew you were in some deep shit. He was the tank of the team, most of the time keeping his singular eye on the front fields.

Killer: just a straight up psychopath. Anyone who had a proper conversation with him all said the same thing: he was insane. He could snap in a matter of seconds, so he wasnt the type you wanted to be around for long. He didn't oversee any particular branch, but rather just stuck his fingeys in everything.

Dust: another silent one, and you also never wanted to hear him... ever. With that being said, he was also a super heavy hitter and kept an eye on all trades and correspondences, ready to jump in a matter of seconds.

Error: a strange one, as he seemed to break the laws of... everything you thought you ever knew. But he was the one who controlled the digital side of things. therefor you saw him the most. He has a temper to him and is a massive control freak based off what you've seen of him.

Nightmare: the big guy, the one behind everything... and the one you were most scared of. He was the dude who oversaw everything that ever happened to anyone, If you pissed him off? Well life wont be a work in your vocabulary for much longer.

But, even so... they always seemed different with you in some fashion. Like for example, Error called you up to their office because he forgot a major component in a software the team was developing, but when you arrived he wasnt cold at all? He even seemed welcoming to you in some way...

and Horror made you eat

which you found very odd

Anyway, as you were fed this information, you looked at Red because you assumed he knew something, ANYTHING. He, being him, knew absolutely nothing and seemed just as confused at you were.

"Uh... Ok? I assume were meeting in their office? Cause like, its still office hours?" You felt out the attitude of the woman, mainly because you want to know if they're wanting to see you because you did something wrong.

"Yes." Was all she said, then left. This leaves you with a grand total of 29 minutes before your potential death.

"wha tha-." Red, who was now standing, spoke out loud.

"I don't know man." Was your only responce.

...

Time went by as you paced around waiting for the clock to tic down, PRAYING you didn't massively mess something, and they WEREN'T about to unceremoniously kill you.

"alright sweetheart, good luck in there." His voice semi-calmed you, albeit barely. He seemed very clam during this, but to be fair it wasnt like he was in your situation... but he did work closely with the bosses so maybe he did know something? Maybe?

You stood at the door leading to the desks where the big men would be sitting.

Finally you knocked

You heard nothing.

You turned to walk away, hoping this was all some stupid misunderstanding

The door slammed open

"HEY! Its them!" Killers unmistakable voice cut through the air like the knives he wielded.

"allow them in killer." A deep voice followed that ear-splitting yell, soothing you, but not for long because as you turned around you were met face to skull with Nightmare.

Well that's slightly terrifying.

Nightmare gives you a gesture to follow him, and so you do, although there is a lot of apprehension.

He leaves you in the middle of the room as he moves swiftly to his resident desk, one that's slightly lifted off the ground. The whole room looks like one out of a fantasy movie: Gold, mahogany wood, beautiful pilers, you name it.

The more you looked around, the more little details seemed to make themself clear to you: slits in random places that likely came from knives or other weapons, gun racks that hold very expensive looking guns, and pieces of paper that scatters some of the members desks. Makes you wonder even more why your here.

Off to the side you recognize a large red eye light that's staring directly at you. Horror's smiling very wide; that sort of thing is something that strongly worries you.

Errors in a hammock that's stationed off the left farthest corner of the room, once you catch his gaze he snarls and looks away.

"so i bet your wondering why your here..." Once again, that silky voice catches your attention. Nightmares smiling, rather widely might you add.

"Y-yeah? I cant say I'm not confused." You stammered a little. As mush as you were confused and mildly scared right now, you do have to say... the group was a litttttttle attractive. You'd never admit that out loud though.

"well..." A new voice nudged its way into the conversation "we have a question regarding your plans..." Dust's voice was quiet, but also smooth? Not something many people were privy to. Wait, yeah most people didn't hear that voice unless they were gonna die, what the hell was happening??

"you could say were asking about your plans for todate." Killer smiled widely, which wasn't out of the ordinary but something about this instance seemed very different.

They all gave you a few seconds before pushing the question again, you finally answered.

"Oh- Uh, I don't having anything i'm planning to do today?" You desperately wanted to ask why, where was this going but you chose to leave that little bit out.

"heh... good." Horror commented, scary.

"hmm, i agree, good." Nightmares addition made it even more menacing, then he continued: "you will be accompanying us tonight for a smaller... mission." You could HEAR the smile and menace radiating off that skeleton.. he also didn't give you much of a choice.

"D-don't-t get you-r hopes up-up" Error so kindly added "This-is is nothing but work-k." You nodded, not wanting to question why they chose you over literally anyone else.

"you will be picked up from your house at 7pm sharp. look good." You once again nodded then Nightmare give graciously give you permission to leave.

As you walked out the room, you pondered the inclination of going out on a date with mafia bosses, was it even a date? Was it seriously just work? If so, why someone so low on the ranks?

You met back up with Red, he gave you a concerned look and added you looked pale as fuck. You briefed him on the situation: "They more or less asked me out for some work event??" He seemd just as confused as you were.

also, while we're pointing out the flaws of atlus's characterization choices in the game-

ugh. ryuji. i adore him, so much. and the game never decides what they really want for him. i always stood by the fact that the pervy cutscenes were a step too far, even for him- especially after what he knows about ann. i think it would've been interesting to explore how he did sorta believe the rumors about her, but apologized, and the game vaguelyyy does that but canon is still a disservice to the friendship i firmly believe ann and ryuji have.

and the way the other characters treat him. im not gonna even bring up the okumura arc here, it doesn't deserve mention. but sometimes it's hard to listen them insult the poor guy so much. yeah, he gets in over his head and says stuff a little too loud. but sometimes it just feels cruel. especially knowing what happens at the end of shido's palace.

ryuji's gobro's a jerk, but he apologized when he stepped out of line too far when they barely knew each other. he'd never let the post shido moment go down like it did.

my fav thing about third sem is that ryuji's the one that comes to the rescue first. that gets in front of akechi & akira and blocks the blast before everyone else. im glad my boy got a little moment to shine in p5r (rip ann and yusuke). and i love his friendship with akira. but i wish atlus felt less all over the place with him, with all of the thieves.

are we gna take turns dissecting all the characrers in persona 5 because im literally all for it. character dissection is my favorite. puts ryuji on the operating table

Ok final thoughts: that was a solid 7 and a half out of 10

thank you Supernatural you hit almost all the high notes when most stuff falls flat for me. Still, you came soooooooooo close. And got so far. And Yet in the end it doesnt even matter.

Still, this one's going straight to the pool room, and I can comfortably say I'm throwing it on the shelf of 'comfort media' that I can go back to on a bad day.

This had some fucking BANGER scenes that surpassed my expectations and deeply pleasantly surprised me. Good shit! As someone who is hard to please, this was a riot. Still; a shame they arbritrarily rules-d him taking a chunk out of someone. Would have been sick. Could have had the great slow build up of the initial turning scene - him and the love interest, holding back - then him cracking it after holding out and snapping.

It is not too much to ask, I swear. It's a good trope.

Ough tell us abt William and gender

bc Funtime Foxy and Springbonnie are both characters Will had a very strong influence in making. I've personally always seen it as (likely unconscious) projecting on his part. I have Many Thoughts on Funtime Foxy being feminine presenting with a masc voice and passionate entertainer like William. And Springbonnie being William's absolute favorite; and Sb can very much be interpreted as not caring about gender and using any pronouns from the fnaf world screens

How do you think William's life wouldn't turned out if there were no murders and nothing bad happened? Would he have stayed with Henry and Fredbear's or pursued different passions? aaaaaaaand as for the circus thing, i think it just makes sense given his adoration for entertaining. being a clown isnt really too far off what he already did- both of em dress up as characters to perform for people, especially kids, and are known for doing silly little tricks. e.g. juggling. which he can do, canonically. im not sure he has too much interest in clowns, just likes them, and it makes a lot of sense thematically :o)

First Emi didnt manipulate Mob. Literally. Dude rewatch the show. But yea Emi did not manipulate Mob, didnt mess around with his feelings, didnt do nothing to Mob. It was all because she lost a bet.

Second Mob and Emi never dated or "dated", Mob rejected Emis "confession" although he still went out with her because well its Mob, he probably felt bad for rejecting her so he went out with her. Emi didnt tell or force Mob to go out with her

Thirdly it wasnt like Emi didnt trust Mob, if she didnt she probably never let Mob see her story. She let Mob know about the bet and that she was greatful for Mob still going out with her although he said no.

If you want to hate on someone hate on Emis friends dude. Those guys suck. Their called Emis hobby weird, and when Emi ripped up her story they did nothing to stop her. When Mob and Emi were picking up the papers they didnt even help and just dipped like, ok middle schoolers am i right!!

Literally the entirety of Captain America: Civil War would've been solved by any of the characters googling exactly how long it takes for a panel on the UN to get anything done/what exactly the UN is allowed to do in general

Like first of all, the UN is not a government. It doesn't have the jurisdiction to send anything more than the peacekeepers, and that only after a full meeting of all the world leaders who'd be affected. The team would have to wait for the world leaders to be flown in to a designated meeting place, and then bicker about necessity of intervention for literally days on end, even if they did wind up wanting you to go somewhere

Imagine if you'd had to wait seven to nine business days before even suiting up in ANY of the movies

There would be no United Nations except the One United Nation of Midgard that Loki is in charge of.

And look who was actually calling the shots when it came down to it? Who sent Tony and the rest of them after Cap when he defected?

He literally walked in, told them he didn't get a sense of perspective from any of his years in the army and instead got it from a close brush with his own mortality WHILE GOLFING, insulted all of them, trauma-triggered several of them (HE PLAYED FOOTAGE OF SOKOVIA IN FRONT OF WANDA AS IF THAT WASNT HER HOME BEING DESTROYED AND THE TIME HER BROTHER GOT KILLED), compared their team members to mislaid physical weapons, threatened them, and then demanded they be controlled.

He is your common-or-garden Rich, Power-Hungry, Hyper-Militant Politician.

The Accords hadn't been ratified yet. That meant nothing had been signed yet. No one has signed the agreement, but several nations had agreed to it. Without signing anything, that just means those nations publicly SAID it was a good idea. Nobody is dumb enough to make such a huge world-changing decision without at least telling the people it affects, especially if there's only like ten of them. They went to Dublin TO RATIFY THE ACCORDS

BECAUSE IT WASNT SET IN STONE YET

It just gave Ross a better power play to pretend like it was, so he'd have the Avengers under his thumb by pretending they were already out of time to actually make a stand against it by the time they learned of the document's existence.

It was never submit or quit. That's just how Ross played it, even though he said himself that it wasn't ratified yet. And because of that, the Avengers who didn't stand with the Accords DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP TO THE UN MEETING TO DEFEND THEIR CASE

Just because Ross told them it was too late.
