Well, @palefirefox decided to block me, which is actually probably fair, given that I’ve been relentlessly calling him on his bullshit. Before he did though, he did claim that he didn’t say any of the things I accused him of in my numbered post last night, and that I couldn’t find quotes. (bottom of my post included so you can see that it is what he's responding to):

I made the list I made by going through his blog, so some of them might be hard to find, but here’s what I could pull just from what’s on my blog (I highlighted the relevant parts on the longer bits because I didn’t want to be accused of taking anything out of context but there’s a lot to read):

Being Jewish doesn’t mean you know more about Judaism than palefirefox does (given the way it was used to “answer” the question, I’m interpreting the below to mean that because Christians aren’t necessarily experts in their religion, Jews aren’t either. Which is actually a fair point, but it doesn’t answer the question of how he knows more, and also it’s easier to know when someone is wrong than to produce the correct answer yourself. I pointed out that the average Christian might not be able to name all of Jesus’s disciples, but they can probably tell that Odin wasn’t one of them.)

He has claimed that antisemitism isn’t a valid term because “Semite” refers to both Jews and Arabs, so Jews can’t use it to refer only to themselves

He has said that he won’t consider any evidence coming from the USA in general, and has disregarded provided links to proof because they weren’t quality (including the OED and BBC websites)

People claiming to be Jewish who are telling him that he’s wrong are probably lying and shouldn’t be believed

Jewish people were probably taught their own religion incorrectly and he knows it better than they do

While he demands that others provide proof of what they say, he flat refuses to provide any proof of his own.

Anyway, if anyone wants to send this on to him so that he can see that the mean lady on the internet has proof, I’d appreciate it.

One thing I wish Bells Hells had called Ludinus out on more explicitly was how rich of him it was to go on about the gods’ parasitic relationship with their worshipers to gain power (a so-far unsubstantiated claim btw, we’ve seen no evidence that the gods need worship to survive) when he’s been stealing power and KILLING fey creatures and god knows what else via the quintessence array in order to keep himself alive. The gods at least need SOME element of consent when it comes to their worshipers and champions; Ludinus has just been straight up murdering things for his own gain with nothing given in return. This man is every inch a hypocrite.

Dick. For the canon isn't real square I am Specifically talking about the Tom Taylor Nightwing run. Usually I ignore bad runs but given this one is ongoing (though about to end THANK GOD and get replaced by Dan Watters who i have high hopes for since i adored his Sword of Azrael (2022) run but i digress) so I counted it. Especially since it's so debated if that run is bad or not, for some reason. I'm a 90s Nightwing truther. I love Dick so dearly and tbh recently I've been more enamored with him the more I read his Discowing era, I didn't used to be as big of a Dick stan as I am these days.

Bruce. Honestly where do you even start with Bruce. I want to fist fight him and also patch him up. He got me into comics and superheroes as a whole but I roll my eyes whenever he shows up in a story. He's a bastard and usually not a good father but also complex and should be dissected under a magnifying glass. I love him dearly. He's also just the worst. I think that's why I love him. I'm always a fan of unabashedly Complicated Asshole Bruce who's generally not always the best person, particularly not to the Batfamily and that being the driving force of his relationships with them, especially in shipping.

And for bonus points, Tim. Because know above all else, I'm a Tim Drake kinnie /deg. He's been my number one for a decade and I've yet to uproot him from my brain. He's literally the Worst half the time and I love him for it. And the canon isn't real refers to Tim Drake: Robin because... that sure was a comic. And that's about all I can say about it. Pre-Flashpoint Tim I miss you so dearly. I think it's fun that I want to put him in a blender and drink the juice but also want Nothing Ever to happen to him.

You know what? I like Oliver. Am I disappointed in the comments he made about Buck turning back to his 1.0 days since it plays into a major toxic bisexual stereotype I’ve personally been victim of after he said he’d handle this story with care? Yes. But he’s human and under scrutiny the likes of which us regular people will never be and can never possibly understand. We can’t be perfect and say the right stuff 100% of the time. Oliver’s not a saint. He’s a person with a job. We’ve all fumbled situations or misspoke at times or had views which we had to change or adjust after learning, that’s part of the human experience. So yeah, I liked BuckTommy. Yeah, deep down I still like Buddie. Yeah, I know Lou had some questionable posts on his Instagram from some years ago. And yes, I like Oliver, Lou, and Ryan even though none of them have been perfect. There’s nothing today that would suggest an immense clash with my current values, and if there were, it seems it was all in the past and there’s been growth, evolution. I hope we can all appreciate the humanness of actors and the plasticity inherent to us all through time and learning.
