In a recovering town. Where Chloe rebuilt a diner and established her own auto shop with her own hard work and skill. And bought them an apartment. TO SETTLE DOWN TOGETHER.

Note: Full disclosure, they had an apartment in Seattle together before "plot happened" and also traveled around with a rock band for years so it's not like Chloe ultimately ends up confined to Arcadia Bay again. Don't worry.

BONUS: Them being normal with Victoria:

So yeah. "Chloe is a free spirit who didn't wanna be tied down or take life seriously and fucked off to flirt with Victoria Chase" MY ASS.

Granted, both this and DE are about equal in being "canon" but. In terms of Chloe's characterization and what we know from previous games. I can see her do all this. Even if you take the relationship out of the equation, fine, the rest of it. I do NOT see her doing ALL THAT.

Bite me, for all their faults the comics understood Chloe's character much better than whatever DE has got so far.

How did this even happen????? What happened to being the "ultimate celebrity chef power couple"? Things were going so well. Well, let's rewind a bit to explore what delusions and a lack of self-introspection can do to a person. After Alex, Dulce had been chasing the high that she got in their relationship. Puppy love is short-lived, but damn does it feel powerful. That's the first love she experienced and she had nothing else to compare it to. She spent a while dating different people, but nothing really came out of that. Was she being a little picky...? Yeah maybe... Then, she met Caruso. Yes, he was arrogant and annoying, but he was fun. She loved the thrill of their little competition and the tension that came with it. Caruso was perfect for a hopeless romantic who is ambitious and gets bored easily. That's the thing, though. He was nothing more than a business partner that she could sleep with. She thought she loved him, but she only loved what he did for her and her career. The guy is good-looking, does anything he can to please her, has allowed her to travel, and is as driven as she is. This entire time, she has used him as an investment. Dulce fucked up big time.

the batfamily would NOT be on social media at all realistically, but of course tim loooooves photography, so i think he'd be a super dedicated scrapbook-mom type instead. (to compensate for the incredible instagram posts he WOULD make)

like, he's got books for each of his friends, one for each family member, and multiple for pictures of parts of the family and all of them together (although rare). he even has separate books for people in-costume and out-of-costume.

every christmas + birthday he recieves a loooooot of scrapbooking materials, he has draws of washi tape and stickers in his room.

he definitely tries his best to match the themes of the pages to the people in them too, and not one book has the same feel to it. he always writes very sincere little captions under the pictures as well. if he wasn't so attached to the books, he'd give them as gifts.

Hey guys, I'd like to apologize for disappearing once again. I seem to end up self-sabotaging myself everytime I try to get back into the swing of things (attempting to do the backlog of comms + doodles, opening patreon). I've been feeling lethargic for some time now & tbh I can't help but remember my mom's situation back then before she got admitted to the hospital. I don't want to go through the same thing so I'm trying my best to pick myself up—even though it's hard. I lost my dad last 2016 then my mom this year & it's just... it's a big blow for me.

I'm sorry if I keep asking for help like this... but I've stretched our budget too thin now since I haven't been able to work on anything. If anyone would like to help, my ko-fi page is open. Any kind of help or support is very much appreciated! 🙏

Lastly, I've also been thinking of doing an art stream as a thanks for continuing to support me even though I haven't posted art for so long ;_; Nothing fancy, just a simple stream of me drawing on a canvas (I don't have the guts to show my face or talk I'm sorry... 🙈). Tbh it sounds overwhelming but I thought it might help me gain momentum for drawing again. Idek if I'll actually be able to do it, but it's something that's been on my mind for a while now.

when i was at uni there was this professor who freaked me out SO badly. like i wanted to sit and lurk at the back of his classroom for every class he taught. he was so well-spoken and articulate and clearly brilliant, he got his phD by 22, has a juno award, one of those teachers you really need to like you most out of everyone in the class because you are a normal, well-rounded individual and you do not have an issue with authority figures. you know the type.

anyway, i was last in his classroom pre-pandemic, and i haven’t seen him since. i work at a bookstore now, and he came in today—and he recognized me, despite that my nametag called me something else than what he’d known me as, and i present very differently than i used to. we got chatting (i was being very normal and i wasn’t even flustered and i didn’t fumble with the card reader, what are you, a cop) and i ended up telling him that i have a book coming out next year.

oh yeah, i told him, very casual, it’s about toxic friendships in young girls and how they can affect perception and cause all sorts of problems. he said oh, yes, my daughter had all kinds of issues with that very thing when she was young, and i expressed that i had too, which had loosely inspired the book, or at least the feelings behind it.

“you know,” he said, “the best revenge is to write well.”

then i almost forgot to give him his receipt, and i told him to have a great day but like, in a sincere way, not the way you say it in customer service to every single other person, yes there is a difference, and i helped the next customer, and after they left i did a bunch of little wiggles behind the counter until my boss started giving me the hey-why-are-you-like-this stare.

anyway, i’m still thinking about it. the best revenge is to write well.
