so theres this guy. ive known him for over a year and we got along really well from the moment we met. long story short i fell in love with him. and it happened on accident. we were friends and i catch feelings for him but never get confirmation if he did or didnt feel the same.

heres the long story lol. we were really good friends like we both lived on campus so we hung out everyday between work and classes. we texted and called every goddamn day. we always met up when we had time. i remember feeling the desperation in a text he sent quickly followed by a call insisting he had time after a meeting to hang out and have dinner together. we even started a club together JUST TO BE ABLE TO HANG OUT MORE AND IN NICER VENUES!!! we just wanted a club where we could play jackbox games and watch movies and shows together. im telling yall he was so ideal. ive never felt so safe with someone before. i even introduced him to the solar car club at our university so we could be on the media and marketing team together. god we were almost inseparable. and he acted different when it was just us vs us with other people. he was clearly very comfortable with me. he would even tease me! he loved getting a reaction out of me. and we would laugh until our sides were sore or we were dying on the floor. we were such good friends and at some point i caught feelings.

we did so much together in the span of almost 4 months. i was having trouble with school due to the death of my grandfather, loss of my job, and being placed in 3 classes i already took at my community college (i was a transfer student). i was expected to do more than i should and felt punished for not knowing all the right channels to go through to get shit done. i felt so tired of the bullshit i didnt think a degree would be worth it at that specific university. but i didnt want to leave my friend. i had a lot of friends but this one in particular was special. this was my newest best friend who i spend countless hours with. he knew i was making the choice to drop out after that semester. the signs were clear he was going to miss me. he hugged me like it was the last time he was gonna see me. he doesnt like hugging and i can remember that embrace like it happened yesterday. i did not want to leave him. i loved him. so what do i do? i give him a card saying thank you for the memories and go no contact on him for 8 fucking months. i got over the worst depression of my life because i missed him so fucking much AND i felt like a failure for wasting my time and money on a school that clearly didnt care for me. i was going to CAPS almost once a week even when i was a student.

anyway. i get over the depression. i pick myself back up. i make great friends through the smiling friends fandom. i meet someone who sounds and laughs like my friend. what are the fucking chances. i am encouraged by new friends to reach out to my uni friend. i take my time but i finally do it. i reconnect with other friends and they encourage me too to call the friend ive been missing the most. and…he doesnt pick up. i want to cry. i feel like a failure again. but i think “maybe he called back?” HE DID. AND I MISSED IT! ACK! so i call him back. he picks up. we say our hellos and how are yous. i apologize for the radio silence and say i thought he hated me. he says “no no no no no no i dont hate you dont even worry about it.” im in love again. and the gentleness of his tone? are you fucking kidding me? we talk for like an hour and then i finally let him go to finish packing before he moves back in. i see him the day he moves in and i meet his parents for the 2nd time. after that we start hanging out again but a little too often. we set up proper boundaries after i have a mental breakdown bc he is the only one of my friends from last year that actually missed me and wanted to see me again. he said he wanted to see me again.

the last time i saw him was september 8. i was escorted off campus on the 9th and the 11th due to depressive episodes during both incidents (undiagnosed and unmediated at the time). i was institutionalized from the 14th to the 19th. i still havent seen my friend. i am officially banned from campus and i miss my good friend everyday. i wrote poetry about him that i may never share. i love him. i always will. what sucks is so many things remind me of him. i feel sick when i get reminded of him because i cannot physically be near him and i just miss him that fucking much. i’m hopeless. but i do think i will see him again even if it is not soon. its killing me to wait to see him again. fuck my stupid baka life. god i miss that goober!

I'm not that much of an interesting person, actually. So in the nursery or whatever, there was a guy who had a crush on me, and he wouldn't stop biting me so I flung a Hot Wheels car into his eye and he never did it again. There was this girl in my first year of primary school who would always blame me for things she did or accuse me of things I didn't do and the teachers would always believe her since she was a grade above me and I was too confused to say anything. So I got into plenty of trouble because of her, and I still hate her to this day. But I'm not above doing something like that either since a grade later I got a classmate in trouble for hitting me when he didn't. I got a concussion because I fell while running in the halls. (I got a second one a few months ago) I was the gifted kid, and every of my teachers either put me on a pedestal or despised me. And they all thought I was autistic. (They might've been right ngl) So my parents took me to a psychologist who didn't get me diagnosed with anything, but about 4 years later, I got diagnosed with adhd. I fistfought a girl for spreading false rumors of me dating my best friend at the time.On the same year of my diagnosis I had a racist teacher everyone hated since she mostly targeted students of color but she was awful with everyone in general. She was old,so I heard she's dead now lmfao,I'm not gonna get too much into detail cuz this is already long as hell, but I also have some form of trauma from her. And school in general,especially work. Queue my first year of highschool and my whole class hates me for being the "gifted kid" and they try to bully me but it was so pathetic I didn't even notice. Late half of second year burn out finally hits. Then depression. I kinda bullied some girl but it got sorted out. My grades went down by a lot. Not much else to say from here I think. Quick addition: my primary school was apparently haunted, and strange things did happen and I make a separate post about it/srs (keep in my mind we were kids so it probably wasn't that bad)

In last year of primary,I pissed off my art substitute so much she threw scissors at me and if flew right past my eye lol, but eventually became our actual teacher because ours died the same year. Teachers hated me for being introverted and not being very skilled with my hands, so I spent plenty of recesses inside finishing work for school events. Which I later learned was apparently illegal.

  Ooh tough one. I guess right now, in order of favorite to least favorite, I’d have to go Sodapop, Two-Bit, Steve, Johnny, Ponyboy, Dally, and then finally Darry. But it’s pretty close, and the order changes day by day honestly- I like all of them a lot, y’know? I guess the only one I don’t think about too often is Darry. I still like him and think he’s a really well-written character- I just don’t have a lotta original thoughts about him, is all, whereas I do about all the others. 

5. What are your fave ships?

  In a truly shocking turn of events, I, a frequent draw-er and writer of Stevepop, am going to say Stevepop. I dunno, something about them just makes me happy. Reminds me of like…daydreams I had when I was twelve and crushing on my best friend, and trying to get her attention by doing stupid things and whatever…god I don’t really know how to explain why I like it. Before this fandom I didn’t usually ship things, to be honest. But I guess when I did it’d be stuff like Jesslake in Infinity Train, where it’s the sorta thing that can be seen as platonic or romantic. I reckon Stevepop scratches a similar itch in my brain lol

  But I also really like Marcia x Two-Bit, which I haven’t really talked about here much- They had good chemistry, y’know? I oughta draw something about them sometime

  And then finally there’s my DIY crack-ish ship Soda x Steve x Evie. I like them! It’s all the things I like about Stevepop, plus there’s a cool girl in the mix! I love cool girls! More folks should think about them i think

  I do like other ships okay too- like the Tarry crowd has dragged me in, and sometimes the Jally crowd does too, along with Purly and occasionally Johnnyboy. I’m not an active participant, but when I come across it, I sorta mentally nod and say “nice”, you dig? They’re like…my ship-in-laws. Or like…milk duds and hershey bars- candy I still enjoy, but reach for only after I’m out of milky ways and twizzlers.

7. What are your fave non-romantic relationships? (This can be close friends, familial, enemies or even just acquaintances)

  Two-Bit and Pony! I like them a lot. Their interactions in the book were some of my favorite parts. That line when Two-Bit was worried about Ponyboy using that broken bottle on the Socs…ugh that part was great. I remember reading it for the first time and just sitting there thinking about how much I liked that detail.

  Then on the opposite side of the coin, Steve and Pony lol. I LOVE how Pony doesn’t initially like Dally or Steve, and yet Dally’s chill with Pony…but with Steve the disdain is mutual. Jk I don’t think Steve really hates Pony- but he definitely thinks Pony’s kinda annoying. I like the idea of him watching out for Pony anyways though, like at school especially now that Soda’s not going.

14. Tell us five of your headcanons you basically see as canon

Sodapop has ADHD and maybe (?) dyslexia, but it’s the 60s so he won’t find out till he’s well into adulthood

Marcia gave Two-Bit her real number, and was disappointed when he didn’t call it. I like to imagine they end up remeeting at some point and going out together- even if that’s kinda unrealistic lol

Steve hated Dally when he first rolled into town, because Dally was everything he really wanted to be- tough, cool, and street-smart. And he was also scared of losing Soda, who thought Dally rocked- because Dally’s from New York and rides in rodeos! Eventually they became buddies though when Dally gave Steve a compliment or something. Not even a particularly good one- something like “Hey you ain’t bad at fighting”- just barely enough for Steve to feel like Dally’s earned a little bit of his loyalty. Might write fic/make a comic for this- it’s kinda niche but I think the idea is funny

Steve and Soda secretly listen to the Beach Boys at the DX. They can’t tell anyone because it’s not tuff to like a dumb California band. And Ponyboy would like the Beatles if he listened to them, but he doesn’t, so he won’t realize that until years after Beatlemania has died down

Steve is not just a Ponyboy hater but also a horses-in-general hater. He thinks horses are scary and unpredictable and that cars were invented for a reason. He was secretly relieved when Mr. Curtis stopped Soda from riding rodeos, because seeing Soda on a crazy horse gave him mad anxiety. Pretended he was sad though for Soda’s sake

Henry and Alex are roommates quarantined together. Henry takes to Reddit when Alex's behavior gets too confusing for him to sort out on his own. Surely this will have zero impact on their completely platonic relationship, right?

The kind of close that other people like to point out sometimes when they’re in public, and not just their overinvolved older sisters and overly suggestive friends. A few of Alex’s colleagues have made comments when Henry shows up at the holiday parties or after a stressful work day to make sure Alex is eating and staying hydrated, just the same as Henry’s clients each know little bits of odd Alex-facts that he lets slip sometimes in his sessions.

Regardless, it’s all terribly domestic, and the twinge of satisfaction Henry gets when Alex’s dates don’t go well is most definitely not appropriate, even if they are kind of in a weird, probably mostly platonic, very codependent relationship. If he’s not careful, Henry’s going to get himself so, so hurt one of these days.

Alex is very drunk, and very affectionate, and it's becoming increasingly difficult for Henry to pretend like he isn't completely in love with him.

Every night, like clockwork, Alex's upstairs neighbor plays the piano for two hours, giving Alex the motivation to sit and do his own work so that he can listen. One night, he leaves a letter for his neighbor to thank him for the music. When his neighbor comes to his door to thank him for the note, he finds it's the same cute guy he's been running into in the lobby.

blackout by rizcriz. T, 4.3k. When the power goes out, Alex and Henry are sitting in their living room watching the latest fantasy show to hit Netflix. Alex has his feet in Henry’s lap, and his head pressed up against the side of the couch. One of Henry’s hands is burning a hole through the thin spread of Alex’s pajama pants where it’s resting on his shin. Everything goes out like a flash of lightning, but it takes a moment for it to really register that they’re left lying in the dark.

When it does, Alex sits up, the backs of his calves pressing into the firm weight of Henry’s thighs. He tries not to think about that, though, even as Henry’s hand tightens around his calf. The moon’s shining through the window, so it’s not like they’re blanketed in total darkness, but when Alex looks at Henry, and Henry looks at Alex, the shadows drifting over his face, it feels as if all the light has been sucked out of the world entirely.

Or, Alex and Henry have a conversation by candlelight.

Nora calls it the Claremont-Diaz Paradox, and every time she does, June sticks out her tongue like she’s about twelve years old, and then Nora makes a comment about what she would rather June be doing with her tongue, and – okay. Off track. Not relevant to Alex’s current predicament, which is perhaps the most damning example of the Claremont-Diaz Paradox. Alex got himself into NYU Law with flying colors and LSAT scores in the 99th percentile, worked his ass off for three years, and graduated with honors and a crippling caffeine addiction. And then, because he is an idiot, he decided to take his JD, his potential, and his mountain of student loans to his brand-new job as a public defender.

Unfortunately, being a public defender pays about as much as working at a Hot Topic. Which means that Alex really needs a roommate. Like, pronto. STAT. ASAP. He’s not sure who’s desperate enough to move into the other room in his beautiful, probably-not-bedbug-infested 700 square feet of Hell’s Kitchen, but he really fucking needs to find somebody.

Craigslist is a last resort, but it does bring him Henry.

It’s not usually a problem. But then their building usually has heat.

He can coexist with Alex in the same lobby for entire half-minutes at a time while checking for post, he can make solid eye contact during glances in the hallway. Alex is still the most beautiful man he’s ever beheld, and maybe Henry’s hook-ups are tending towards the Latino types more than they ever did in the UK, but still. Alex is straight. Henry is fine about it. Really.

Henry's Brooklyn apartment was a short commute to NYU, and the price was unbeatable, so he agreed to move in without even meeting the man in person. He was nervous, at first, to share close quarters with a stranger, but it’s worked out shockingly well; Henry is kind and considerate, and they mostly leave each other alone.

He’s also quite obviously gorgeous, and Alex doesn’t know why there isn’t a string of men coming and going from Henry’s room at all times, or perhaps one steady man. Inexplicably, Henry seems to have been single since Alex moved in in August.

Apparently Henry used to be a barista. Alex pokes at him, tells him it looks easy.

Henry raises his eyebrows, mouth curved at the corners like it’s guarding a looming laugh. “Would you like to try?”

Favorite “confusing and convoluted but also an unserious gay old time” drama: The Sign Special Episode

One of my fave shows last year, and then they spoiled us with a special episode??? This show has everything: Thai mythology worked into a BL plot, the most badass training for police in the world (seriously wtf they’re like the Navy SEALs here in the US), and the absolutely adorable “star-crossed but then we said fuck fate” romance between Tharn, who exemplifies my gender goals, and Phaya, a himbo simp. Not to mention that this baby *slaps the show’s roof* can fit soooo many under-explained and unlikely side stories and plot holes.

I cackled so many times watching this drama, and the special episode does not disappoint. Absolutely insane. Love it.

Favorite Performance in a Single Scene: Tan Jianci in Under the Skin 2, Episode 20

Tan Jianci. This…this fuckin guy. Our special little guy. Forlorn-looking twink extraordinaire. His off-the-rails ranting monologue while confronting a serial killer about his motives, empathizing while manipulating and trying to stay sane all at once, is genuinely up there with my favorite performances of all time.

Now, usually my ADHD ass struggles to stay focused in a scene, but dear reader—I just sat there as Tan Jianci gave us a new side of Shen Yi, spellbound like his audience (please stop skipping off to confront serial killers alone, Shen Yi sweetie) in the scene. He needs an award for this role that matches the skill he showed here (and throughout the show); I don’t think I’ve been so hypnotized and fascinated by an actor’s work in a single scene since Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men. All the awards for Tan Jianci.

Favorite Sapphic Sweethearts: Tul and Ran in Petrichor the Series

Listen. I am not made of stone and Thailand knows what they’re fucking doing giving us these two. I’m fine. Totally fine. No, you spent an hour rewatching that one scene.

I haven’t posted much on this show because I’m still watching it and savoring it slowly, like a Milano cookie. But once I get some free time (laughs hysterically) I plan to start doing meta on this Englot dream. It’s giving us what Rizzoli and Isles should have done in the first place (no disrespect to Sasha Alexander, my queen).

Favorite “The Subtext Is Rapidly Becoming Text” Couple: Ao Li and Yan Jingjing in Under the Skin 2, Episode 15

Okay so I’ve already talked about this show in the list—so what? So what???

Captain Holt voice: and you’ll hear it again!

This series is no stranger to the sapphic under-overtones, but the two ladies who reunite at the culmination of a case that is not what it seems (I refuse to spoil) acted their fucking hearts out and DO NOT TELL ME THAT THE TWO OF THEM EMBRACING IN A WEDDING VENUE, ONE IN A FULL-ON WHITE WEDDING DRESS AND THE OTHER IN A RED (popular wedding dress color for Chinese brides) DRESS, IS ANYTHING LESS THAN GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAYGAYGAY—

You get the picture. Anyway. They’re amazing and their sapphic coded “former friends” storyline is realistic and beautifully told. Ao Li broke my heart. Even though we only had them for a few episodes, I would seriously watch a whole spin off series about these two characters.

Favorite Returning Actor: Wu Dohwan in Mad Dog

I was first introduced to Wu “Doe Eyes” Dohwan in My Country: The New Age, which is a super fun romp full of kittens and milkshakes—just kidding, it’s a soul-rending mindfuck of a historical drama that I’m still brooding over. Oh, and he was also the golden retriever boxer in Bloodhounds opposite Lee Sangyi (who absolutely killed it too, that show rocked). Now suddenly I’m watching him play a cunning chameleon taking on the world’s longest revenge scheme and making so many friends and enemies in the process (good for him). His range is insane—from a high-strung, ambitious emo with unrequited love to an innocent himbo jock to a scheming traumatized con artist. His Home Alone episode is great, too, and you get to see that the golden retriever thing is probably the closest to his real self.

Surprise Favorite: Where Your Eyes Linger: Director’s Cut

People. I clicked out of curiosity because hey, I liked that BL the first time around, I wonder what’s diff—holy shit.

This director’s cut is a gift. It focuses more on Kang Gook’s internal experience, the closeups and cutaways are jarring but somehow work really well. Honestly, it felt like I was watching a companion to the original.

hey, something i've been struggling with recently is i've been struggling with "finding my people" because i'm a minority in my hometown, and a lot of people... aren't. they don't understand me, and often when i try to get them to understand they seem like they fall back into the old systems they were traumatized with (elitism, classism ect.,). 1/2 -solidarity anon

Im gunna say this at the top, this is so rough and im so sorry you gotta go through this sweetie. We are so isolated and filtered into categories within our current system in order to keep that isolation and to fight solidarity and unity. Now I cannot know for 100% sure what your going through or the extend your suffering. But will say I am from and currently still live in a oil loving, god fearing, anti-LGBT, and very racist city while i was raised wiccan by a poly core family and all my gay aunts/uncles and have been dreaming of an earthship my whole life plus every summer id be stuck in an even more harsh farming community that was so small they gotntheir first street light when i was 9 and the chruch is also town hall (mayor works in a wing off of the building). So there is at least some overlap in the experiences your having.

But that being said, how I got weirdly connected to people and involved in so many projects and stuff might not work for you.

Personally? I just yelled and yelled about the injustice of the system at work, about cool forestry projects and people buying ghost towns to start up Co-loving villages. Sharing discworld and different philosophers with coworkers backed up by their fave hobby. About how terrible the conservative politics are. About how cool transit could be if we funded it. About community art projects and how cool solar glass would make things look. About drags shows and events and did you know there is A SOUP FESTIVAL? I'm autistic and have only really interacted my whole childhood with friends with ADHD so my brain is weird and won't shut up once it starts going.

As a result of my ramblings, I have gotten a lot of responses mostly ones that are positive since if they didn't agree with my absurdist philosophy ramblings or solar project ideas they'd just leave the coffee shop. If they enjoyed it, say they want to join a community garden/event or if someone was as stoked as I was about again UNLIMITED TASTINGS SOUP FESTIVAL than we'd chat about that. The thing is a lot of these things have overlap. Someone who wants to convert their lawn into a pollinators habitate prob also likes little libraries and as a result prob also likes the idea of dark sky street lights. And down the rabbit hole you go.

That being said... my best actual advice is 2 pronged.

RESEARCH and REACH OUT

I personally have done years worth of research on my city. What local events and politics are happening? Even in rural places there is at least garderns, there's engineers, there's usually a LGBT focused club. And from these spaces, you can build a network. Doing research I found out about 5 different organizations in my city (most of which was founded 40 yrs ago??) That where sustainability focused. Doing research made me realize how cool community associations could be and how I could help mine out. It also gives you all those ideas for convos.

Second, I reached out to those groups about weird ideas I had, about if I could hang up posters for them in my local area, if I could buy groups worth of tickets in advance, and than also reaching out to the ppl I already talked to and had these ppl interact. My fave example of this is T. T is an engineer who built a fully functioning solar car during his degree program but specializes in hydroponics (how we ended up talking was over plants) he than gets shown my fave farm near by and now he's building the farms hydro system and Seedling house. Writing in to newsletter ppl and showing off weird layout design. This is ultimately very anxiety indusing. What if I'm bothering them? Why should I be spamming them like this? But the secret here is-

No one will ever be mad about you showing interest in their interest once you find those ppl. They want the interaction just as much as you do.

Modding

The cutoff vests are 95% done, just need a few touches before I can make them live on Nexus, so what better time to start a new modding project? 🙃 A friend mentioned wanting Vik's pants and I'm always looking for more butch clothes for Val especially ones that ride low on those hips but also the belt & tools seem like a fun project.

Both the pants and belt are simple replacers to start while I test. I have some clipping to deal with on the pants, but so far the weights look okay. 🤞

As for the belt, I lost the tools somewhere between Blender and Wkit lol. I wanted to take a go at texturing them in Substance Painter so I split them off into their own submesh. Not sure where I lost them but I'm sure they'll turn up again.

Writing

It's fitting that Durian tag me because my latest writing was incited by a scene in his fic "The President's Lady" in which Myers invites Sol and V to lunch at the White House. I'm going for a more, uh, traditional take on The Tower ending than he is, using my fave angst, combined with some good ol' longing and probably some flashback smut. I've been canoodling on this in my notebook since Durian's chapter came out, writing a bit each night before falling asleep. I started transcribing it just for this post, so here are 315 of 338 words, hot off the Google Docs.

Some backstory: The second time I played Phantom Liberty I beelined to Dogtown, and skipped meeting the Aldecaldos and doing pretty much anything past finishing the VDBs quests. Vik was the only one who called, and she decided to take Sol up on his offer of a job at Langley. Soon after she's back in DC, she gets an invite to lunch from President Myers.

I lost power for most to the day today, so I sat at a coffee shop and just killed time writing down headcanons for every SP character I could think of.

So the first one is from Tokyo Mew Mew bc it was my first manga and anime (besides Pokémon and Naruto, my brother introduced those to me). It’s Ichigo’s Mew Mark and she’s always been my fave and I just absolutely love the series and have had the manga for YEARSS and ugh I just love tmm so much. The original artist passed away and she was fr such an inspiration (Mia Ikumi) she was only 42 and died of a brain hemorrhage. She just inspired me in art in so many ways and I just love tmm and the ocs ppl make it’s just so comforting ahh.

The second is the one that’s gonna match with my bestie lol. It’s gonna be kind of that but done by the actual tattoo artist so I’m sure it’ll look nicer with their stencil lol. Just a little SpongeBob with a jellyfish and net and flower cloud. Bestie is getting Patrick!!! His tatts are already on his right and I’m getting mine on my left bc we both like. Another example of how they don’t notice ANYTHING is that it’s been like. At least a year. Of this cobweb on the stairs to the second level having a dead bug just chillin. Took three months for step mom to notice I put cartoon characters on the frames of her family photos. If I hadn’t shown them my undercut (that step mom thinks is horrible) they would have never noticed even if my hair was up.

When I showed her my hair she thought it was cute and looked good and thick and fluffy as usual until I showed the undercut and then it was terrible and thin and flat and what will I do when it grows out (shave it??? Deal with it??? As one does with hair??? I actually need to shave it lol I got the undercut bc my hair is so thick and takes so much product to keep silky and clean so it’s easier AND feels lighter and less sweaty in summer sooo). omg choices are hard. I'm actually going to go with 90s movies Mikey! 90s movie Mikey was a really good blend of doofus and serious ninja that led to him getting some really amazing and moments.

Mikey and Donnie's interactions while watching Leo and Raph fight crack me up every time. They're such the cool, nonchalant siblings tired of this shit but knowing this shit isn't gonna end anytime soon.

Who can forget Mikey with no hesitation running into a burning building to save a child he'd just met?

The whole Second opening sequence is absolutely golden, but Mikey A) knocking out Foot with a 0.2 ounce yo-yo, B) Mikey playing both parts in the fight behind the meat counter, and C) Mikey running off the Foot with sausage is HILARIOUS. (Don is also a huge star in this clip. Him being the weeble lives rent free in my head and is the entire reason I know what a weeble even is.)

Mikey drawing out Splinter's funny side because Splinter is worried about him and getting Splinter to wear a lampshade to cheer him up!? And Mikey's absolutely precious laugh afterwords? Omg, precious babies.

Mikey being the one to hold the donuts but then still make Leo be the one to call a stop to the fight and give him a chance to offer them to Tokka and Rahzar. xD Plus the classic "Which one's the ugly one?" That line also lives rent free in my head. I quote it all the time looool.

I just really enjoy the utter campiness of the 90s movies and how everyone really got a chance to shine and be both funny and awesome. This is a great version of Mikey.

Ah, sadly, I've been moving a lot, so I pared down on a lot of my TMNT merch to make things easier on myself, so a lot of my Mikey-centric stuff is gone. :( I have some cool group things, still, though!

Just got this sweatshirt for Christmas. It is super comfy.

I'm not even sure how old this pillow is anymore, but it's been through most of college with me.

My beloved fridge magnets which were once cake toppers.

I also have a set of miniature figures of the guys that are rather 2k7 in build that I love, but they're currently still packed way from my move in December. (The walls here are brick, so I need a special tool to put shelves up so I can display them, lol.)

4. what headcanons do you have?

I love ADHD!Mikey. That's definitely a fave.

A lot of iterations of TMNT give the boys a lot of inner strife over having to be secret and removed from the world, but I actually think Mikey is most at peace with this out of all the boys. Raph's got obvious anger issues over the juxtaposition of all they do to help the city/world and how people would just fear or hate them if their presence was revealed. Donnie has so much he could contribute to the world scientifically, and ofc there's some aspect of this that can be conveyed just through screens, but he can't make a name for himself. He can't go to conferences. He can't teach. He can't really collaborate with others beyond anonymous chatting. He can't really publish. That's absolutely gotta wear on him. Leo may seem like the obvious most at peace, but I think he really internalizes this alienation and isolation and it causes a lot of inner turmoil and anxiety. But Mikey I feel is the most connected with the world and so feels the least disconnected. He's got a strong network of contacts in 2k3 with the Justice Force and Nobody. In 2k7, he outright had an in-person job as a party performer. Really, he's so friendly and extroverted that he can't help but make friends, and he's the most likely to put himself out there and risk being revealed if it would help someone. I think he also has tends to have a lot more emotional coping skills/maturity than his brothers tend to have, so if he is bothered by this isolation, he better knows how to deal. Whereas Raph tends to explode and take his emotions out on other and Leo/Donnie tend to internalize until they reach denial or acceptance (more Donnie) or explode (very Leo). Acting in a juvenile manner doesn't actually mean Mikey is immature. (2k3 Mikey's speech on feeling bad for Leo while he was struggling with PTSD because he took on so much responsibility so the rest of them didn't have to is case and point.)

Mikey's pranks and distraction tactics are less a mechanism of fear of responsibility but more of fear of failure. Leo's great at strategy, Raph is pure brute strength and a lack of fear, Donnie's amazing intelligent - there's a lot for Mikey to have to try and live up to, and it's scary that he might not have a place in that and that maybe he's not as good or talented as his brother. So he carved out this niche for himself as being dramatic and ridiculous, so maybe he'll never be good enough, but he'll sure as shell never be forgotten.

Friends suddenly being dicks and then throwing you away once they stopped liking having you around and u don't know why they're suddenly hating you and being dicks for no reason. Another one. Doxxed? I remember trying to avoid undertale, treating it like a disease despite it being one of our fave things in the universe next to pokemon. anytime I did interact it was cus I saw a meme. Or it was on shorts feed, or I was saying how much I hated it. Ignore the fact it's been one of our 4 spins since it came out. 🙄 anyway. I also purposefully isolated us. I never let another person get close because they're secretly plotting to betray me and wanted me dead. Oh and in regards to UT, sanscest was the enemy and I despised it like it was something only proshiposrs supported because 1 friend I had in 11th grade told me it usually led to pro-shipping. damn if me loving my partners is proshipping then suddenly I'm dead/playful.

We don't talk about the utter obsession I had with an irl classmate 💀. We don't talk about how desperate I was for attention snd the hurt I put us through.

Yeah no one else like was allowed to exist because I just never let them? And instead of believing that they were real I chalked every single one of those assholes/aff up to 'Oh they're just intense kins/yeah I'm delusional (I mean I am but still.)'

I only started to mellow out after finding MANDJTV (TEAM SKY!!!!), and getting into sonadow for the 9999 billionth time. By then I was in such a massive Sonic IRL moment that it kinda became my entire personality. And then Sonic spawned. (But let's be real, he's been here a lot longer. Blue only started to truly interact with the outside world once we was throughly alone. And needed at least 1 friend.)

Despite everything I put us through all this purposeful punishments? The brain decided I would be the container for that anger, and that I should be a host, since no one else was fronting except me and that embodiment of our ADHD (sonic.). And I guess it makes sense. I fucked everything up? Might as well start trying to fix it.

Don't get me wrong, I still do have persecutor tendencies, especially when I'm extremly stressed out or ashamed my immedeate response to that would be attempts at self harming, only to end up distracted by other things like yapping on this blog, or YouTube.

I'm a host, I'm a anger holder, I contain the hateful things so the others don't have to. I get mad so the others don't have to. I lash out so the others don't have too. I'm a rabid Feral beast kept on a leash ready to bark hiss and growl ir aggressively self isolate so the others don't have to. Cause if they did...I don't know what's gonna happen./lh

1. Sexuality headcanon: Homosexual

2. OTP: Knuxang, I don't think I need to elaborate, but they have a lot in common while also having interesting contrast when it comes to things like responsibility, trust and more

3. BroTP: that's a hard one... probably Fang & Amy, rivals to friends kind of thing, they're an incredible chaotic duo

4. NoTP: Eggman & Fang, just no, big no, ABSOLUTELY NOT

5. First headcanon that pops into my head: His lack of powers is considered a disability in Sonic's universe and he struggles with it a lot as well as with him being a hybrid (made short comics about both topics and plan to explore these aspects of him further in the future)

6. One way in which I relate to this character: Goofy antics, cat noises & ADHD

7. Things that give me secondhand embarrassment about this character: Honestly, his canon portrayal in general. I like his goofier side and it pains me how he constantly swings from a goofy gremlin to unredeemable a-hole to something else while also being an underdog that achieves things through wits and hard work. Like, he's way more fun when he's with other characters and he has a lot of development potential and depth that's just sitting there untouched.
