I can actually, probably answer this for you! This is solely my opinion and observations on the matter

First and foremost you're not an asshole

I believe the hate for men liking lesbians comes from the sever sexualization and oppression of them

Lesbians have been seen as only valid when they're portrayed for the male eye/pleasure

Lesbian marriage/couples weren't accepted, but two woman kissing was encouraged, when done for the male gaze

Men will still yell at lesbian couples to kiss for their pleasure

People still think lesbians are lesbian because they "haven't found the right man yet"

Straight woman (even to this day) will play into the lesbian trope in porn to attract the male gaze

Essentially it comes down to the fact that lesbianism has only been seen as valid when it's done for the male gaze

Fictional characters or not it leaves a bad taste in people's mouths due to the oppression they've faced

I don't think there's a problem with finding lesbians (real or fictional) attractive. I think the problem is those that find them attractive because they're a lesbian

Some people simply have a hard time differentiating between the two.

So in conclusion, you're not an asshole but a lot of people are and that's why there's such a broad hated. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, simply the possible reasons why

Characters are usually designed to be eye catching to both genders. Sure, a man could have a crush on..Vi but know that she’s lesbian. That’s not a good enough reason for the whole fandom to go and exile the man.

In essence I'm an astral being. I would not have the ability to describe it so here is some images.

This is the form I usually chose to take. It allows magic to flow around more easily.

However I do have a more physical form where I condense myself into a chosen shape. Like so.

I simply prefer my free form. It's much prettier and easier to move around in. My physical form has its uses, it's just not preferable long term.
