just finished matt smith's run as the doctor, still hot off the tails, and as is to be expected, everything that happened to him keeps making me think of nine and ten. i hadn't stopped to consider just how fresh the whole "committing genocide against my own people" thing was for nine. like the amount of High Grade Denial And Suppression he had to have been doing to be as barely functional as he was must have been publishable.

Dark Frontier should have had an ending scene where after Seven returned to the ship and she's self-conscious about having 'betrayed' Voyager and whether or not the crew trust her (they retrieved her on Janeway's orders but her orders don't always match the feelings of the crew itself), thinking of Tom's comment, thinking of what she was a part of, she stumbles upon B'Elanna. They're both working well past the time to do so. Seven tenses up because B'Elanna looks irritated but she just goes into business as usual about mistakes in Seven's work (probably because she needs to regenerate!) and how much time and energy it took to find her and Seven apologizes for the inconvenience (sarcastically) and B'Elanna accepts her apology then she smirks, staring at Seven. Seven looks unsure about what this means. B'Elanna reaches up and clasps her shoulder. "Good to have you back, Seven." she says. Upon Seven's nod of acknowledgement, she leaves, calling over her shoulder "Get some rest!" threatening that she'll be back in the morning with more corrections if she doesn't. Seven stares after her for a moment. She continues to work. She pauses. She turns around and gets onto her alcove, beginning to regenerate.

tales of the tardis is enough for me, it is, it really is, after all those years, jamie & zoe finally got their memories back & if that's the last we see of jamie mccrimmon that was fantastic, it was more than enough, there is & now will always be a conclusion

but

if i had to bring any classic who companion back to new (new?) who it would be jamie, it would always be jamie because the idea of jamie meeting a modern doctor sends me just a tad feral, just a a little bit balls to the wall feral.

Kudo, to Bruce: Letting All For One take Ray's Quirk was the worst idea you’ve ever had in your life.

Suicide is a triggering topic so I cannot discuss this with like anyone but, the 2nd Archivist kills himself. I cannot see him dying and forcing a regeneration earlier that isn't killing himself.

It's a cumulation of him figuring out that, in some grand sense, he was ALWAYS going to be locked away in the Archive. That he could have never escaped. And he feels sick that he still tries to go back to it. To his beloved archive. He hates himself for it, hates that he was lost to time, that, as a Time Lord he's supposed to control it, and that he couldn't.

In a fit, alone and so small, he kills himself. I'm not sure how, and that bugs me because I have other characters who I know for a fact what they would do. (The way they would choose to, say everything about their character).

I'm leaning towards asphyxiation, however, it's much harder for Time Lords to do this, which makes me think he does something else.

Either way, what he does forces a regeneration. The third Archivist spends time being sickly and withdrawn again, struggling to understand why they-he? us? I? Did that. He doesn't know how to handle regenerating as he has no one to ask about it, and because of what his past self did, it wasn't planned.

He tries not to talk about his second self, choosing to bury that part of him

If they do kill off Donna (which I hope they don’t but if they do), then I hope her death has agency, that it doesn’t just happen because the Doctor can’t save her
