Been watching some bayverse review stuff (shoutout to PointlessHub he does Not miss) and I entirely forgot about Cogman from the fifth movie, and I’ll be honest, I kinda enjoy the concept of him

Anyways, my re-write (aka Bay-1) version of him (plus the build up for his existence) would go more along the lines of this:

Keep the Unicorn is earth bit and use that to explain Why so many cybertronian artifacts and people keep falling there. Anyways have the whole transformers have been here awhile bit but more specifically their corpses have (not everyone can survive a crash landing, looking at you Optimus). And thanks to human need for deconstruction to understand they end up disassembling several cybertronians, which leads to robots as a concept spawning into existence much more quickly. Cogworth (aka cogman but bc I don’t like his name I am changing it) is one of the first produced and functional robots. However due to him being new technology (at his production) it makes it far harder to later on update and upgrade him as technology advances, and add in the fact that at the time of his creation people didn’t know about there being a difference between decepticons and autobots (different internal structures for my bay-1 version) made Cogsworth extremely unstable personality wise (leading to his movie version of kinda Always being off his rocker with occasional bouts of calming).

So, in Bay-1 Cogsworth IS cybertronian, but in a similar manner to how a second generation immigrant is still tied to their parents birth country. Also I’m giving him kleptomania, so every single artifact the autobots and decepticons have fought over and then completely forgot about afterwards in pursuit of a new one (aka how every movie had a new mcguffin and they Never really brought back the old ones), Cogsworth just HAS it now. Got a lil rat nest somewhere with just a bunch of stolen cybertronian artifacts.

Also comic of what I’d imagine would happen when/if the autobots picked up Cogsworth as a sort of semi-minibot buddy

The chihuahua anger effect would hit him hard (or maybe that’s why he’s so angry, some instinct telling himself he’s too dang small)

Does anyone else find that music gives them inspiration for stories? Im working on my first game's story rn and quite a few songs have helped me figure out what i want some of the places/characters to be like

Spider Girl and 1000 Doors helped so much with thinking up a certain part of the game😭

In terms of dialogue, Ive got some dialogue options for a shopkeeper but nothing past that💔
