Marvel Being a Terrible “Dad”
In the league’s point of view, Billy has to be a terrible dad… and if he’s not their dad… why is a grown ass man hanging around with these kids? So for peace of mind, they assume Jr. and Mary are his kids. I mean, they kinda look like him. Kinda. Like, I can already see a good portion of them not really liking that he’s letting Freddy and Mary fight bloodthirsty monsters and villains. But, even the heroes that don’t mind that have to take a minute to process Marvel congratulating Mary for going off and doing something extremely reckless:
*They all just watched as Mary flew into an alien spaceship to take it down from the inside out. They knew nothing about the ship, just that it was hostile.*
Mary: *Flies back down from the ship, covered in soot. Lands by Marvel.*
Superman: *Flies over to them* “That was extremely reck—”
Billy: *cuts off* “Mary, that was amazing!”
Superman: “Cap, that wasn’t amazing. It was extremely reckless! She could’ve gotten herself killed!” *gestures to Mary wildly.*
Billy: “But she didn’t!” *gives thumbs up* “Come on, let’s get victory ice cream.”
*The two fly off*
or
*All of them are talking about their kids, eating together at a little lunch table in the Watchtower’s cafeteria like middle schoolers*
Superman: “I wouldn’t let Jon fight any of my villains alone. Most of them, anyways.”
Billy: “Why? Is he not strong enough?”
Superman: “Well, I’m sure he is, but I don’t want him to get hurt, or traumatized. Being a hero can be harsh at times. He’s just a kid.”
Billy: “So? Just cause he’s a kid doesn’t mean that he can’t fight. Just let him.”
Superman: “What? I can’t just let him. How would you feel if Junior or Mary had to fight Black Adam on their own?”
Billy: *shrugs* “Depends. Are they gonna fight him individually or together?”
Batman: *Eating a bat shaped sandwich, made by Alfred* “Individually.”
Billy: “Oh, yeah. Sure. I could trust them to handle Adam alone. I don’t think they could incapacitate him though. A couple times, when I’ve been busy, they’ve held him off for me until I get there.”
Flash: “You just let two little kids (Freddy and Mary look like pre-teens) go out and fight Black Adam? The same Black Adam that destroyed like a quarter of Metropolis in a day?”
Billy: “When you put it like that, it sounds crazy.” *Eats spaghettios*
Green Lantern: “Dude, it is crazy.”
Billy: “Wha? No it’s not. Wondy, when’d you start training for being a whole Amazonian warrior princess?”
Wonder Woman: “When I started adolescence.” *Eats ice cream*
Billy: “Seeeee? It’s fine.”
Martian Manhunter: “How old exactly are Mary and Junior?” *Also eats ice cream*
Billy: “Mary’s eleven and Junior’s twelve, they’re close enough.”
*All except Marvel exchange slightly concerned glances*
or
*Marvel and Junior are bickering next to one of the windows of the Watchtower.*
Black Canary: *Minding her own business and walks past them.*
Billy: “How about I slam your head through this window so we can really see if you can breathe in space, huh?”
*Canary pauses, and wow. Junior didn’t even flinch. That’s actually crazy. The bickering just got worse. This really doesn’t look good from a licensed therapist’s point of view.*

You didn’t know if the heat was getting to Mason, but he could barely keep his hands off of you as the week went on.
Every night the pair of you ended up in one of the others room to let off some steam and you were beginning to wonder how you’d survive without him when the holiday finished. Even during the day he’d try and sneak you off if he could. Pretending you’d gone for a nap or to make a call so he could quickly make the pair of you cum and you couldn’t lie, you were having the time of your life.
It wasn’t just the sex though. He was right, you were his for the week and no matter where you were or what you were doing he was practically glued to your side. You were having the best week with him and all your friends and the little arrangement only made it even better.
You kept to your side of the deal too, making him breakfast and lunch if he wanted it. Treating him to ice cream when you were out even when he refused and making sure he always had his sun cream on but you knew he was secretly loving being taken care of in this way. Often finding him staring at you longingly as you made him something to eat like he wanted to pull you in and not let you go.
You felt good. Better than good, you felt wanted and needed and even though you both promised that the friendship came first and no feelings would be involved you noticed you’d started to slip.
You thought about him constantly when he wasn’t around, only feeling truly content when he was next to you and you felt yourself becoming in tune with the way he acted towards you. One misplaced glance or change in the tone of his voice had you spiralling but you were too afraid to say anything to him in case you made a fool of yourself so you kept it in. Trying to be as relaxed as possible around him.
You’d had a great week by all accounts though, getting drunk in the evening and soaking up the sun in the day and before you knew it there were only a few days left. Today was a little different though as you were meant to be having a girls day and Carly had arranged for the four of you to go pottery painting whilst the boys had their own thing going on but when you left you realised they were coming with you. Ben explaining that due to the weather their speedboat experience had been cancelled so they were tagging along to paint with you.
‘I’ve never done pottery painting, I don’t think I’ll be any good’ you told Mason as you all approached the building. Him holding the door open for you and you smiled as you walked passed him.
‘You decorate your cakes all fancy though, surely you can’t be too bad’
‘I guess we’ll have to wait and see’ you winked. Joining everyone else as a sweet older lady explained what you had to do.
Once she was done you were all allowed to go and pick your pottery, and once again you felt Mason brush up besides you as you looked for something to paint.
‘What are you thinking of painting?’ You asked him, eyes scanning the shelves for something exciting and you watched as he picked up a small stubby sort of vase before sending you a wink.
‘Wouldn’t you like to know’ he laughed before turning on his heel and making his way over to sit with the rest of the boys. Leaving you stumped before turning back to your only other hope.
‘Carly? Whar are you painting?’
‘Gonna paint Ben a mug I think, and maybe a little bowl for my cereal’ she mused, grabbing the biggest bowl she could see before taking it back to the girls table. You watched with a smile, knowing how much she loved her cookie crisp but your eyes were soon wandering over to Mason like they always did.
In the end you picked up a mug, wanting to paint Mason something too and then a mug for yourself before joining the girls. Sitting and gossiping as you let your creative juices flow and even though you were trying your hardest to paint something nice for Mason your lines were all wobbly and you thought it looked silly but you hoped it liked it.
For your own mug you decorated it with little strawberries and daisies, this coming out a little better than Masons but you were clearly taking too long as the girl’s had gone to join the boys to show off what they’d made as you were finishing up.
‘That's pretty’ Mason smiled, taking up the seat next to you. ‘The mugs not too bad either’
‘Oh hush it you’ you laughed. Secretly enjoying his compliments and you knew you were blushing as much as you tried to hide it.
‘Sorry, but it’s true, I am a bit concerned though. Please don’t tell me you’ve spent this whole time doing that’
‘Of course not’ you laughed, nodding your head to the side and you watched his eyes light up at the Spider-Man mug you’d painted for him. ‘I know it’s not great but I thought it might look good on your mug tree I got you’ you laughed, referring to the one you’d got him as a house warming gift and you watched his eyes soften as they flickered back between you and the mug.
‘You painted that for me?’
‘Of course. Just another little thank you of mine’ you teased but you could tell he was touched that you’d made something for him.
‘I guess I should show you what I did’ he laughed, a nervous expression on his face as he went to retrieve his item but you were more than confused when he set it down in front of you.
This looked nothing like the vase he’d picked up before. It was covered in little hearts of all shapes and sizes, pretty flowers and a few cupcakes hidden in here and there plus a slightly bigger pink heart that had gwen Stacey’s pink mask inside. Making you smile as you recalled all the times you’d spent watching it together and you loved the way both of yours tied in together without you meaning it too.
You were just about to ask what it was when you noticed the word tips carefully written in a fancy font on the front and your eyes shot up to his nervous ones.
‘It’s for your bakery. Thought it might look nicer than the coffee jar you’ve got sat by the till’ he laughed and your heart melted instantly.
‘Oh Mase’ you laughed. Dropping your brush and pulling him in for a hug and he held you back just as tightly. Tucking his head into your neck as he was a little shy and your heart thumped at how lovely he had been.
‘Bit of luck I painted something for you now huh?’ You laughed. Pulling back to look at his flushed face before his eyes darted to the Spider-Man mug in between you.
‘I’ll treasure it forever’ he laughed before helping you pick everything up and take it over to where everyone else’s were. The lady let you know they’d take around a week to be finished and you all wrote your addresses down for each piece before going to grab a quick lunch so you could get back to the villa. The weather now changing and after your busy morning and early afternoon, all you could think about was heading over to your chair and blocking out the rest of the world.
Well everyone but Mason at least.
He was still in the kitchen grabbing himself a drink, promising to follow you outside shortly to join you and with a quick, sneaky pinch to his bum you took the few steps from the kitchen to outside.
‘You coming in, y/n?’ Ben called, motioning his head into the pool as you walked around the edge towards you but you shook your head. Heading straight for the lounge chair you’d claimed as your own so you could get set up with your book however Ben seemed to be having different ideas. Stopping you in your tracks with his hands on your shoulders and the cheeky smile on his face unnerved you. ‘Come on, I haven’t seen you in there once this week’
‘So? I don’t want to’
‘But you have to, it’s the rules’ he laughed, turning you so you were now facing away from him, his chest pressed against your back as he bent slightly before lifting you from the floor.
‘Chilly I swear to god, put me down’ you shrieked, voice full of fear but you could tell he thought it was all hilarious. Swinging you from side to side as you thrashed and kicked your legs, your breaths short and sharp like you couldn’t take enough air in and as your eyes began to sting from fear you couldn’t help but let out a frightened whimper.
‘No can do, everyone needs to go for a swim or you can’t say you’ve had a proper holiday’ he laughed, swinging you back one final time before launching you into the water.
Everyone’s laughter and cheering was suddenly silenced, all you could hear was a rushing noise as you tried to fight your way to safety. You didn’t know what way was up and what was down and the more you struggled the more lost you became. Your lungs burning as you resisted the urge to open your mouth and scream but you were so frightened you didn’t know what else to do.
I’m gonna die, the only thought that was rushing through your head but the sudden feeling of someone’s arms around your waist as they dragged you up and back to the real world knocked the wind out of you.
You were gasping for breath instantly, your hands gripping onto someone’s strong shoulders as you tried to calm your aching lungs before you felt their hand on you back so they could pull you into them. Your arms snaked around their neck as you hid your head into them and they rubbed up and down soothingly to try and relax you before pulling you flush against them with their lips to your ear.
‘It’s okay, you’re safe now. I’ve got you, yeah? I promise it’s alright’
‘Mase’ you whimpered, booming coughs erupting from you as you clung to him even tighter. Wrapping your legs around his waist as he held you to his chest tightly and you knew you were going to be fine.
‘I know, Muffin. I promise I’ve got you’ he told you gently as he slowly walked you to the steps of the pool, gently walking you out whilst you clung to him like a koala and once you were up the steps and on the side you let yourself slide down his body so you could stand on your own. You could feel him start to pull back, probably wanting to check you were okay but you were having none of it. Small sobs now poring from you as you realised you were okay, the shock of it all finally hitting you and the embarrassment of everyone having seen you flapping about like a wet fish made you hold him even tighter as you cried into his neck.
‘Y/n I-‘ Ben started from behind you but Mason was quick to cut him off for you.
‘Don’t, Ben. Just don’t’
‘I didn’t-‘
‘Ben I swear to god if you don’t fuck off right now’ Mason growled, his body going stuff as he pulled you impossibly closer to his body. ‘I mean what the fuck were you thinking?’ He roared, but you didn’t want to start and argument so you pulled back in the hopes he’d look at you. He looked furious, cheeks flushed as his brows pitched together and you could feel the anger pouring from him but you watched his expression soften at the sight of you.
‘Can we just go inside’ you whispered through your tears and without so much a look in Bens direction, Mason lead you into the kitchen and away from everyone else before picking you up by your thighs and placing you on the counter.
‘Are you okay?’ He whispered, holding you by the jaw so she could get a good look at you and even though you were still crying and taking in strangled breaths you nodded your head. ‘What happened?’
‘H-he threw me I-in. I p-panicked’ you stuttered out before he pulled you back into his chest so you could calm down. You knew you were fine but your heart was still beating out of your chest and you were thankful you had Mason to grip onto.
Once you were calm again you pulled back to look at him, a soft concerned expression on his face as he placed a soft kiss to your forehead and you couldn’t ignore the goosebumps that traveled over your arms at the gesture. His touch was grounding you more than you thought it would but the feel of his lips on your skin made you feel even better.
‘You really don’t like the water do you?’ He asked softly, a small smile on his lips and you shook your head softly as you rubbed at your eyes. ‘Can you swim?’ He questioned gently and you took a nervous gulp before answering.
‘No’ you whispered, wanting to look away out of embarrassment but his non judgemental stare settled you and your carried on looking into his gentle eyes.
‘Y/n’ he sighed, but you could tell there was smile behind his voice as he slightly scolded you. ‘You need to tell me things like that. How am I supposed to look after you if I don’t know?’
‘Sorry’ you chuckled but he just shook his head before pulling you back into his embrace.
‘It’s alright. Just as long as you’re okay’ he mumbled, pulling back to look at you and you sent him a reassuring smile.
‘I’ll be fine’
‘Good’ he laughed before dropping his head to press a light kiss to your lips.
You froze, that’s against the rules being your first thought but he didn’t seem to be reacting in any way so you kept your cool and acted like what he’d just done was normal even though it was anything but.
‘Do you fancy going out for a bit? We can head to the beach rather than hanging here, I just know if I see Ben I’m likely to throttle him’ he joked, squeezing your waist lightly and you agreed, still a little embarrassed about the whole thing so you let him help you down so you could quickly leave.
You tried to be quick, drying yourself off and changing into a new bikini and a pair of shorts before chucking on an over shirt and trainers snd meeting Mason in the hall outside your rooms.
He was dressed in shorts and a tank, clearly throwing his own outfit together pretty hastily but looking at him still made your knees weak. The fact he’d have his tattoos on show for you today too made your tummy flip so when he held out his hand you took it straight away before he led you outside and thankfully you didn’t see anyone on the way out. Following Mason with your head down and once you were out he steered you towards the main town.
‘Thought we could have a walk on the beach maybe? Or look round some shops?’
‘Sounds perfect’ you smiled, squeezing his hand gently as you followed him down.
You arrived at the shops first, the pair of you looking at all the trinkets and souvenirs before Mason asked if you’d like to play a game and you looked up at Mason with a confused expression.
‘Whenever me and my family go away we get each other a magnet’ he told you, head motioning inside one of the tourist shops at a giant wall of magnets. ‘You go in here, I’ll go into the shop opposite and we can buy each other one. You know, one that reminds us of the other’ he explained but your silence made his face falter. ‘Or if that’s weird we can just-‘
‘No Mason I love it’ you giggled, squeezing his hand before letting go. ‘I’ll meet you out here in a sec yeah?’
‘Okay’ he nodded shyly before you both went in separate directions. There were a few you were considering but in the end you picked up one that looked like a rooster as it reminded you of Nando’s and you’d seen them everywhere this week and once you’d picked up a few more things for people back home, you felt your phone buzz in your pocket. Carly’s name flashing up on your screen and you felt nervous instantly. She wasn’t around when the pool fiasco happened and you knew she was probably worrying where you were.
Tumblr media
You met him outside where he was looking at you with a cheeky smile before quickly swapping the little paper bags they were hidden in, both bursting into fits of giggles when you saw you’d bought each other the same one.
‘You fancy a walk on the beach? We can stay away from the water if you want’ he smiled but you just laughed and took his outstretched hand. Walking along the shore as he intwinted his fingers with yours.
It all felt so surreal, getting caught up in the moment even though you know you shouldn’t have, but the way he was acting so soft and caring with you made your heart flutter and you had to remind yourself often that he was still just your friend.
He stopped suddenly, pulling his phone out his his pocket before seemingly trying to take a picture of the sand in front of you and you were confused as to what he was doing until he threw a peace sign up in the air, looking down to see his shadow on the sand so you joined in as he took a few more. Both giggling away until he placed his arm around your waist and pulled you flush against his side before popping a kiss on your forehead and snapping a picture.
You looked up at him carefully, his bright eyes looking down into yours and the urge to kiss him was stronger than ever. He beat you to it though, planting another illegal kiss on your lips softly before taking your hand again so you could carry on walking.
‘You feeling better now, Muffin?’ He asked quietly, a hint of worry still in his eyes but it needn’t be there.
‘Much better. Thank you for looking after me Mase’ you told him sincerely, wrapping your arms around his waist so you could hold him close. ‘Sorry for ruining your peaceful afternoon’
‘Don’t be silly, I’d rather hang out with you anyway. I was thinking, maybe we could grab some dinner out? Unless you wanna go back, we can do that too’ he told you, rushing at the end like he thought he’d overstepped but you were enjoying your alone time with him so you sent him a reassuring smile.
‘No I like the sound of that. Maybe we could have a little picnic on the beach? I don’t think I’m looking too presentable to be sitting in somewhere’ you laughed, looking down and your thrown together outfit and still damp hair but the soft smile on his face relaxed you.
‘I mean I think you look great but whatever you want’ he winked, squeezing your sides playfully.
After another quick walk around the town, Mason pointed out a take away pizza place and put your order in before you popped into the small supermarket opposite to grab some drinks and sweet treats before taking your food back to the beach so you could eat and watch the sunset.
Even though you didn’t like the water, there was something about sitting by the sea and the sound of the waves that made you feel at peace. And sitting with Mason as you spoke casually about future plans and how he was looking forward to the rest of the season made your heart sing.
‘I know we haven’t known each other too long in the grand scheme of things, but you know I’m really proud of you, don’t you?’ You told him softly, watching the most heartwarming smile stretch across his face before he patted the space in front of him so you’d sit in between his legs. Once you were comfortable his arms snaked around your waist and you placed yours on top of his as he pulled you as close as he could to him. His lips by your ear so he could speak to you quietly.
‘I’m proud of you too, Muffin’ he whispered, the smile in his voice evident but you both started giggling as he kissed the side of your head. ‘I’m serious. You’ve got your own thing going on and you’re so successful and like I’m just so happy for you, you know? No one deserves to be happy more than you’
‘You deserve to be happy too’ you told him, moving your shoulders round slightly so you could look at him and you almost melted when his hand came to rest on your cheek so he could stroke it gently.
‘I am happy’
‘Yeah?’
‘Yeah, I know it was a big choice to go up there and have everything change. And yeah maybe there are certain things I would of liked to of kept the same but I think it’s worked out pretty well’
‘I think so too’ you whispered, your smile mirroring his as he continued to gently stroke your cheek. ‘Though I miss having you around’
‘I miss you too’ he smiled
‘Hmmm me or my cakes?’
‘Your cake’s obviously’ he laughed, making you roll your eyes playfully as you looked away from him but he was quick to hold you closer and scatter kisses on top of your head until you looked back. ‘I’m kidding. It’s mostly you’
There was that feeling again, wanting to kiss him more than anything and you knew he felt the same because his eyes kept flashing down to your lips as they flickered all over your face. You figured you’d just take the plunge, he’d kissed you twice already today so you reached up and thankfully he caught on and met you in the middle.
Kissing Mason like this made you feel giddy. You were breaking every rule in the book but there was no intent behind it, just two people showing the other how they felt and you hope Mason could tell how much you appreciated him for everything
‘Thank you for this week, Mase, I was really worried about coming but I’m so glad I did. I’ll never be able to repay you’
‘You don’t have to thank me or repay me’
‘But I do. I really appreciate everything you do for me’
‘Well do you send me cakes a lot’ he winked, ‘and you're always there for my games, good times and bad you're by my side so I appreciate you too. More than you know’ he told you softly. A warm fuzzy feeling spreading over your skin and you didn’t have the confidence to look at him anymore so you faced forward as the pair of you snuggled closer and listened to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.
‘Shall we head back? You’re starting to get cold and I don’t have anything for you’ Mason asked after a little while and even though you were content in his arms you knew it was getting late and you’d have to head back soon so you begrudgingly nodded.
‘Okay’ you whispered, taking a slow walk back with his hand in yours the whole way. When you got back, the house was silent and you weren’t even sure if anyone was in so you made your way down to your rooms after putting your leftovers in the fridge. Standing awkwardly outside your doors as he scratched the back of his neck.
‘You wanna come in here for a bit?’ He asked, making you raise your brows at him suggestively but he was quick to settle you. ‘Nothing like that, I just thought we could hang out for a bit. Watch a movie before bed?’
‘You sure?’
‘Yeah I just… I don’t wanna leave you yet like it feels weird to me’
‘It feels weird to me too’ you admitted shyly and your heart stuttered at his soft smile. ‘Listen, I’m just gonna have a quick shower, get changed and run upstairs for a water. You want me to get you anything?’
‘Why don’t you get us some snacks, I’ll let you pick’ he told you and with a final kiss to your forehead he let you go.
After your shower you found one of your nicer sets of pjs and you made your way upstairs but the sight in front of you made guilt rush through you. There was Ben, his face sat propped up on his fists as he leant against the counter and you could see how miserable he looked just from a glance.
You felt awful, you knew he hadn’t meant anything in a mean way earlier and when his eyes flickered over to yours you sent him a sympathetic smile.
‘You’re back’
‘Yeah we got back about fifteen minutes ago’ you told him as he sat up but he kept his eyes glued to the counter as he nodded his head and chewed on the inside of his cheek.
Without another word you made your way over to him, touching his shoulder so he’d turn a bit before pulling him into your arms. You felt him relax immediately as he held you tightly and you rubbed his back gently hoping to let him know everything was fine between you.
‘I’m so fucking sorry, y/n’ he told you quietly but you could hear the emotion in his voice and it was breaking your heart. ‘I honestly had no idea, I was just trying to have a bit of fun’
‘I know Ben. I know you didn’t mean it horribly and I’m fine I promise. I don’t tell people I can’t swim cause it’s a bit embarrassing but you didn’t know that’ you reassured him as you pulled away but kept your hands on his shoulders. ‘As for Mase I think he just got a bit scared but I’ve had a word with him. There wasn’t any need for him to speak to you like that’
‘It’s fine I deserved a telling off’ he smiled shyly and you couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. ‘You promise you’re alright?’
‘Fit as a fiddle’ you winked before walking over to the fridge. ‘I was more embarrassed than anything else. Like me, a full grown woman who can’t swim?’
‘Well if you fancy a lesson I can try and teach you. We can call it part of my apology’ he offered and even though you were petrified you wanted to do something to make him feel better.
‘You know what, I’ll take you up on that’ you laughed, shutting the fridge as you gathered your haul in your hands. ‘Let’s start in the morning’
‘It’s a deal’ he winked, a bright smile on his face and you felt better than you had all afternoon knowing you were fine.
‘I better take these down to his majesty’ you joked, motioning towards your full arms. ‘I’ll see you in the morning though, yeah?’
‘Course. Have a good night y/n’
‘You too’ you smiled and with a quick kiss to your cheek you both made your separate ways to your rooms. You didn’t bother knocking when you got to Mason's room, walking in so you could drop the snacks and drinks straight onto the bed but after you’d shut the door and finally caught sight of him, your mouth went dry.
He was lying horizontally across the bed on his side, flicking through the channels to find something to watch clad only in a pair of tight black Calvin’s. As soon as you made eye contact he sent you a sweet smile, shuffling up a bit straighter before patting the space in front of him and it felt like your heart was going a mile a minute as he helped you get settled. His warm skin pressed fully against yours as he tangled your legs together and wrapped his arm around your middle, but it was the light kiss pressed against your temple that made you blush harder than anything.
‘Comfy?’ He asked softly, lips right by your ear casing goosebumps to erupt all over your skin, you just hoped he wouldn't notice and when he didn’t say anything you just nodded and let him hit play.
It was a comfortable silence, but then again you were always comfortable around Mason. The pair of you munching your way through your snacks as you absentmindedly watched the film that was on until you felt him reach for his phone. Tapping away for a few minutes before he placed it back on the bed until you felt your own phone buzz on the side table.
‘I’d get that if I were you’ he told you quietly. Eyes not leaving the tv and you thought it was a bit weird of him but you didn’t question it. Reaching for it to see who it could be but you were surprised to find it was Mason trying to airdrop you something. The first thing looked like a picture of you taken from behind at a beach bar the other day and you felt your heart race as you pressed accept.
You weren’t prepared for what was coming through to you though. A full album of candid shots of yourself from nights out and day trips that Mason must have taken sneakily and you felt your whole body flush as you flicked through them. Seeing yourself through his eyes a little and you’d sworn you’d never felt more beautiful than right now.
Tumblr media
‘Mason? What the hell is all this?’ You asked, looking up at him with a wide smile and you watched his cheeks turn the same shade of pink yours probably were.
‘Just some pictures I’ve taken this week that I thought you might like’ he told you. Trying to shrug it off but you knew he knew what he’d done was special to you. ‘I thought maybe you could use some for your daily instagram dumps you seem to love. Do you like them?’
‘I love them, thank you’ you told him. Pulling him towards you tighter and you shivered as he kissed your shoulder.
‘That's okay. I know the others were constantly asking the boys to take pictures and I didn’t want you left out. I’ve kept a few for myself though’ he teased. Making you laugh as you looked back up at him.
‘I suppose I’ll allow it’ you smiled. Reaching up to kiss his jaw before your eyes went back to your phone so you could look through them again and try and find your favourite but it didn’t take long for your eyes to go heavy. It had been a long and slightly stressful day and the warmth of Mason's body and the calmness that you felt about being around him was sending you to sleep quicker than anything. He must have felt it, moving you round so your front was now pressed against his chest with your head in his neck but you knew you couldn’t get too comfortable. Sleeping in the same bed was against the rules.
Not that you’d stuck to the rules at all today.
‘Just gimme five minutes and I’ll go to my room’ you told him quietly, the rumbling of his chest as he laughed waking you slightly but not too much.
‘Don’t be silly, stay here tonight’
‘But Mase-‘
‘But nothing. Just go to sleep, Muffin’ he whispered into your hair and you knew your skin was covered in goosebumps.
You didn’t say another word, just snuggled down further into him as he held you even closer. His hands absentmindedly stroking over your skin and lulling you further into sleep, the last thing you remember being his lips on your forehead as he pressed feather light kisses to your hairline.
When you woke up, you knew it wasn’t morning yet. The sky was a little lighter than when you went to sleep but your thoughts were confirmed when you quickly checked your phone and the time read 03:47am. You weren’t sure why you were awake but you quickly dashed to the loo, carefully untangling yourself from Mason as to not wake him but you saw his eyes open when you returned. You had been contemplating going back to your room but he opened his arms for you as you stood awkwardly and you couldn’t deny him.
‘Sorry, Mase. I didn’t mean to wake you’ you whispered, crawling back into his arms but you let him spoon you this time, smiling at the feel of his arms around you and his lips pressed to the base of your neck.
‘S’okay’ he whispered back, continuing to press small kisses over the bottom of your neck whilst he let his hands wander your body carefully and before long you could feel yourself getting turned on.
You weren’t sure if this was his intention or if he just wanted to feel you but you knew your breathing had gotten deeper as he began to massage over you waist and hips before finally taking your bum in his hands and you couldn't help but moan a little bit. Yes the pair of you had been touchy all day but you’d missed his hands on you like this and once he could hear how he was making you feel he started taking things to the next level.
It was your thighs next, hands reaching forward to massage them softly whilst he littered your neck with kisses and it wasn’t long before you felt him prodding you in the back which caused you to let out a little chuckle. ‘Shhhh’ he laughed, letting his hands travel inward to part them before hooking one up and over his body. Leaving you open for him to do as he pleased.
You felt you hips moving before you’d even realised, grinding your bum down onto him and the chuckle that left his lips would have almost left you embarrassed but you didn’t care. You just wanted to feel him again.
‘You just can’t wait can’t you, baby? So needy for me’
‘Please Mase’ you whimpered. Your spine tingling at him calling you baby but thankfully he didn’t want to make you work for it. Just as needy as you it seemed as he pulled your shorts from you and freed himself just enough to be able push himself into you. One arm wrapped around you to hold you close as the other hooked under your thigh to hold it up as he bucked his hips into you from behind and the kisses he was pressing to the back of your neck were driving you wild.
It was lazy and delicious, the pair of you taking it as slow as you could so you could just feel each other rather than chase your highs. Not having sex for the aim of getting off but just because it felt good to be pressed up against each other, to feel him rock his hips in and out of you just like he knew you loved whilst whispering the most heavenly praise in your ear.
You look so fucking beautiful
Feels like you were made for me, you know that?
Let me hear all those pretty noises you make. I don’t care if anyone hears us I wanna know how good you feel
You’re doing so well for me sweetheart
I’ve got you, let go for me gorgeous
When you’d finally come down from your high, you could still feel him pressing the most delicate kisses to the back of your neck until he was burying his face in there. Taking a huge breath like he was absorbing you in and couldn’t wipe the smile off your face.
The pair of you didn’t move, Mason just feeling heavier and heavier as he sunk into you even more. Falling straight back to sleep so you joined him knowing you’d hadn’t felt this content in the longest time.

Y/n nervously sat in her car outside the restaurant— nothing super fancy as she had asked thankfully. He had already told her he was inside, she was just trying to calm down, finally gathering herself, grabbing her bag, and walking inside. Telling the host she was meeting someone before they led her to the table.
Jeongin had set his phone down on the table as she joined him. “Hey.”
“Hi,” Y/n offered a smile as she sat down across from him.
“How are you doing?” He asked
“Okay? Kind of nervous honestly.” Y/n grabbed the cup of water in front of her and took a sip.
“Let's order then we can talk about it. How does that sound?”
Y/n agreed and picked up her menu. Scanning over the items for a few minutes before the waiter came over. Both putting in their orders and giving their menu’s to the waiter before they walked off. Sitting in an awkward silence for another minute.
“I’m not getting rid of the baby.” Y/n finally stated after a moment.
“I wasn’t going to make you,” Jeongin confirmed, “I know it was a one night stand and we barely know each other but I do want to at the very least co-parent this kid.”
“I can work with that,” Y/n nodded
Jeongin nodded, silence taking over the table again, “What do you do for work?” He asked
“I’m an editor for a online news outlet.”
     “You work with Seungmin, right?”
“Yeah. We were in a lot of the same classes in college but weren’t friends until after graduation and we ended up at the same company.”
     “Same department?”
“No. He works more in reporting and journalism. I’ve edited a couple of the stories they’ve let him published.”
     “He hasn’t published a lot?”
“No, (Astird)’s case was actually the first one they let him take on his own.”
“They didn’t think he was going to be bias on it?”
“I don’t think he told his boss she was his roommate. But even when I was editing it, you could barely tell he knew her. He’s very unbiased in reporting which is a good trait to have,” Y/n explained as her phone went off on the table next to her
Jihyun ❌: why aren’t you home?                   I know its your day off
     “Everything okay?” Jeongin asked
“Yeah, just a friend texting me,” Y/n brushed it off
“Do any of your friends know about you being pregnant?”
“Just my friend Hana, the one who was with me at the club.”
Jihyun ❌: Y/n
“Do any of your friends know?”     “I may have told all of them?”
     “How many is all?”
     “Five.”
     Y/n nodded
Jihyun ❌: when the hell did you turn your location off?                   answer me
“Do you need to take that?” Jeongin asked, seeing the constant light up of her phone from the text.
“No. It’s just me ex. He can deal with it?”
“When did you guys break up?”
“Almost a month ago. Hana ended up dragging me to a club to just get my mind off it.”
“Ah. So I was a rebound fuck,” Jeongin joked and it definetly made her laugh a bit.
“If you wanna look at it like that,” Y/n said, “I was more so looking to get drunk till I forgot but drunk me also is horny.”
     “Bad break up then?”
     “Yeah. It’s over now though.”
     “Good for you,” Jeongin smiled
“So, how are we gonna work out appointments and stuff?” Y/n asked, changing the subject
“I would like to be there for them but if you don’t want me there that’s fine. I also can already tell I might not be able to make it to all of them with work.”
     “You own you’re company, right?”
“Yeah. There’s certain meetings I can’t get out of.”
“I can try and schedule them as best I can to avoid that but I can always update you afterwards if it doesn’t work out.”
     “That works out for me.”
The waiter came back with their food and they both thanked them before eating. Other small talk continued throughout the meal, some regarding their lives, others regarding the baby. Jeongin paid at the end of the meal, walking out with her.
“Don’t be afraid the text me if you need anything, okay?” He told her, walking her over to her car
“I will, thank you,” Y/n said, unlocking her car.
Jeongin opened the door for her, “I mean anything. Even if it’s a weird pregnancy craving in the middle of the night.”
The two of them laughed as she set her bag down on the passenger seat. “I will.” Y/n assured him and took her seat.
Jeongin closed her door and waved her off as he walked to his own car. Y/n took out her phone, wanting to text her friend the good news till she remembered the messages— with new ones.

SUMMER HAD BEEN THE SEASON THAT BROUGHT ETHAN AND Y/N TOGETHER. Quinn, Ethan’s sister, had introduced them and they instantly clicked. Because of his shyness and lack of experience with girls, she had been the one who made the first step. And they had dated for two amazing months. Until Rebekah came along, got him alone and it was the downfall of their relationship.
“What do you mean he broke up with you? That asshole!” Quinn said in anger.
Y/N sighed. “It’s her, Quinn. She’s taking advantage of him, I know it”.
“Rebekah being interested in my brother was not something I saw coming”
“Me neither, I wouldn’t have suspected it” Y/N frowned, hitting the pillow with anger. “It’s weird, and sudden”.
“Are they together?” Quinn asked.
Y/N shook her head. “No. He told me he likes me but he is confused, and he needs time to clear his feelings up. He said it wasn’t fair for me to be in a relationship when there are doubts in his mind” the girl was gripping a teddy bear with force.
“There are these rumours…” Quinn started, and Y/N looked at her expectedly “Rebekah secretly dates guys to pass the subjects. Makes them do her homework, summaries she can use to cheat on exams”
“Wait, she’s about to fail Econ. And Ethan never got anything lower than an A” Y/N realized. “Do you think she’s…”
“I think so” Quinn frowned “That bitch is using my brother to pass Econ”.
Y/N clenched her jaw “She’s so gonna pay for this. She underestimated who she was stealing from”
Tumblr media
“HEY, Y/N/N” Ethan said shyly, sitting next to her on the bench while she ate her lunch.
“Hey, Eth” she smiled sweetly. Even though the pain was beating on her like a drum, Y/N still wanted to be around him, even if it was as his friend. Besides, she could never get mad at Ethan.
“Do you mind if I eat with you?” he asked.
“You are always invited to eat with me” Y/N answered, making him blush. “What are all these books?” Ethan shifted uncomfortable in his seat, and Y/N understood immediately. “They are Rebekah’s”.
“Yeah… I’m sorry, Y/N/N”
“You don’t need to apologize” she reassured him, although the thought of them together made her heart break “Just… don’t let her treat you like your lap dog, okay?”
“She’s not. She just needed to do something and asked me if I could carry them” Ethan said.
“Okay, if you say so” Y/N nodded, not convinced at all.
“Y/N…” he looked at her, regret filling those puppy brown eyes Y/N loved so much.
“No, Eth. You don’t have to explain anything. Not anymore” Y/N sent him a weak smile.
This statement created a knot in Ethan’s throat. He missed Y/N very much, but he also knew he was attracted to Rebekah. He needed to figure his feelings out.
“What are you talking about?” said the annoying voice of the girl who got between them.
“Nothing” Y/N brushed it off.
“Okay” she said in a over-friendly tone. She was trying so hard to act nice. “Eth, can you help me with my Econ assignment?” she asked, putting a hand on his bicep and batting her eyelashes at him. God, Y/N hated her and her stupid vintage dresses so much.
Ethan gulped, she made him nervous. And Rebekah subtly smirked at Y/N. “You haven’t done it yet? It’s for today”
“I tried, I just don’t understand it” she said in a fake saddened voice.
“Have you tried asking the teacher? You know, he’s there for something” Y/N said, acting as if she really wanted to help her. But it takes an actress to know one, so Rebekah just glared at her.
“I can’t right now. I’m having lunch with Y/N/N” Ethan said, and Y/N did her best to hide her smile of victory. “Maybe you should talk to the teacher”.
As much as she hated how Rebekah was taking advantage of Ethan, she needed him to do her homework once more. But this time, Y/N was going to make sure Rebekah doesn’t get away with it.
“It’s fine, Eth. We can hang out later”
“Are you sure?” he asked, he really didn’t want her to leave.
“Yes, don’t worry. See you later” she kissed his cheek, making him smile widely, cheeks turning even more red. “Bye, Rebekah, it was so nice meeting you”.
Tumblr media
WHEN REBEKAH SLAMMED Y/N LOCKER WITH ANGER, SHE KNEW HER PLAN HAD WORKED. Y/N showed the fuming girl her best smile, which made the other girl even angrier.
“Hi, Rebekah. Can I help you with something?” she asked innocently.
“Drop the act. You did this, didn’t you?” Rebekah showed her the failing grade.
“Um, no. I believe the professors are the ones who grade our stuff” she replied, explaining as if Rebekah was five years old.
“Don’t act like a saint, and don’t smart talk to me. You told the teacher Ethan did this assignment, and now I’ll have to re-take the entire subject” she spitted in anger. “Why did you do this? Is it because you’re jealous? Because Ethan likes me more than you?”
Y/N finally smirked “Nah, jealousy certainly added fuel to the fire, but the main reason is because I don’t like seeing the people I love being walked over. Ethan is an amazing guy, he deserves so much better than your bullshit and manipulation”.
“Please, that guy is a loser” Rebekah scoffed. “He’s so insecure and attention deprived. I swear I didn’t even have to kiss him, I would just put my hand on his arm and he would do anything I asked. How pathetic”
“If he’s pathetic, then how should you be described? I mean, asking guys to do your work for you on every subject because your little brain is not capable of even comprehending one subject? Now, that is pathetic”
“Did you just call me pathetic?” Rebekah pushed her harshly against the lockers.
“Yup. Add ex-swim team captain to the list” Y/N said.
“What do you mean?” Rebekah asked appalled.
“Oh, you don’t know? My god, this keeps getting better. My dear Rebekah, it’s with great sadness I inform you that if you re-take a subject you can’t be captain of any team. I’m so sorry!”
“What?!” she screamed.
Y/N smiled, enjoying the scene in front of her “Do you still feel like you know what you’re doing? I don’t think you do”
“You’re a bitch” the mad woman said between gritted teeth.
“Mm, no. I’m actually pretty nice, but you played with Ethan as if he was a toy. You have no dignity, and this is me teaching you not to push people down to get you where you want to go.”
“I’m going to tell Ethan what you did” Rebekah warned me.
“No body, no crime, Rebekah. You can’t prove it” Y/N smirked.
The unhinged girl turned around and smiled when he saw the nerdy boy leaning against the locker “I think I don’t have to prove anything. He heard it on his own”.
Y/N looked in that direction and her face fell. She tried to tell herself that, even if Ethan got mad at her for sticking her nose in his life, at least he won’t be Rebekah’s puppet anymore.
“You did that? You snitched on Rebekah?” Ethan asked, he didn’t seem mad.
“Yes” Y/N admitted. “How much did you hear?”
“Everything” the boy laughed. “Thank you”
Both girls stared at him in surprise. “Ethan, she handed me in!”
“You deserve it. You know, I should’ve known it was all an act” Ethan looked at Rebekah, there wasn’t any hint of sadness in his voice. Then, he looked at his ex-girlfriend and his eyes got glossy. He had never regretted something so bad “I’m sorry it took me that long to realize, Y/N/N. I love you”
Y/N smiled “I love you too”
“Do you forgive me?” Ethan asked hopeful, Y/N nodded.
“You two are ridiculous” Rebekah scoffed.
“Whatever, Rebekah. Enjoy seeing the swimming team compete without you” Y/N threw a fake smile at her, and then the girl left them alone, throwing curses as she walked away.
“When you left us alone the other day at the bench… I thought you had already moved on from me” Ethan confessed, as he hid his face on Y/N’s neck. “Not that I don’t deserve it”
“No! I so wanted to punch her in the face for using you, but I needed you to do her homework so I could turn her in” she explained.
Ethan laughed “You’re good”
“There’s nothing I do better than revenge” Y/N joked.
“I can think of a few things…”
Y/N blushed at the suggestion “Janitor’s closet. Now”
“God, I missed you” Ethan kissed her roughly as he led her to the closet.

Fall Into Me 11
Find the series masterlist
Rose has more support now than she knows what to do with. Rudy surprises her, in a very good way.
Warnings: Swearing, the guys do hover a bit, plotting and planning (the good kind), Gaz is a menace (affectionate).
Word count: 1.4k
Eventual Rose x 141 x Rodolfo x Alejandro poly
Tumblr media
Rose wasn’t sure exactly why things had changed, but that Incident was the real start of the change. That entire week, either Gaz or Soap showed up in the morning and insisted on staying to help. Somehow, all of their numbers ended up in her phone. (She knew it was Gaz, even though she hadn’t seen him do it.) On Wednesday, Soap manned the front while Rose had an impromptu interview with a young man who’d walked in asking after the “help wanted” sign.
Thursday had an entirely different kind of surprise.
“You should have told me you were finally starting an Instagram for this place!” Kelly, one of her regulars who worked upstairs, gushed. “I’ve got some cute pics, I’ll tag the shop in them!”
“Uh.” Rose blinked at her, completely thrown. “Thanks?”
Kelly just beamed at her, taking her coffee and leaving.
Instagram page?
Rose turned slowly to look at Gaz, who was just coming out of the back. He didn’t even look abashed, just shrugging when she met his gaze.
“Did you do this?”
“It’ll help business,” Gaz said with an easy shrug. “Besides, you’ve got such a cozy place here, it’s very photogenic.”
Rose huffed. “Fine, do whatever you want, but don’t expect me to help. I’m terrible at social media.”
“I’ve got it handled.” Gaz grinned, dropping an easy arm over her shoulders. “Don’t you even wanna see the page, love?”
“Oh, alright. Go on, show off.” But Rose still smiled indulgently, leaning a little into his side. He was warm and she felt all too comfortable with him.
Gaz squeezed her shoulders a little and used his free hand to show her the page for the coffee shop. It was very nice, she had to admit. He’d gotten some great pictures, including one of the empty store (and she wasn’t entirely sure how he’d managed that).
“Wow. These are really good. Think you might’ve missed your calling as a photographer.” Rose flipped back to her favorite picture - a mug of tea next to a vase of flowers, warm morning sunshine spilling across the table.
“Gonna make me blush, love.” But Gaz grinned at her, giving her another little squeeze. “I can send you this one if you want?”
“Sure.” Rose hesitated then, licking her lips, glancing up at him. “Actually…”
“Yeah?” His gaze flitted to her before he navigated to his texts, already loading the picture to send to her.
“Do you have a picture of all of you? All of your office, I mean.” Rose felt herself warm and hoped she wasn’t blushing much. “I’d love a group picture of you all.”
“I can get you one.” Gaz gave her one last squeeze before he let his arm drop. “You got any plans this weekend?”
Rose sighed, shrugging a little. “Thinking I might do half-days,” she admitted. “At least until I can hire a couple people and get them trained.”
“A couple people?” Gaz looked interested.
“Yeah. Be a good idea to have backup, and that will make it easier if I need to take an actual day off and not just weekends.” Rose shrugged again. It made sense to her.
Gaz nodded. “Good thinking,” he agreed. “You want help?”
“You have managed to be down here every day,” Rose scolded. “I appreciate the thought, very much so, but you need downtime too.”
“Love, this is nothing.” He grinned, amused. “We all used to be in much more stressful situations.”
“Don’t care,” Rose grumbled. “The answer is still no.”
Gaz huffed and shook his head. But he didn’t argue further - whether because he was giving in or just reevaluating his plan, Rose wasn’t sure.
He didn’t bring up the topic again, and they worked easily through the lunch rush. Gaz ushered her off to eat after that, holding down the fort.
“I need to run upstairs,” he said once she was back.
“Of course. Go. Shoo. You could have said so sooner.” Rose frowned at him.
“It’s nothing serious,” Gaz assured her, unable to resist pulling her in for a quick hug. “I’ll be back.”
Rose watched him go, shaking her head. He had way too much energy. And was too cavalier about his own time. A side effect of his career prior to this, maybe.
Either way. She’d keep an eye on him, make sure he didn’t overwork himself. (Well, she’d do the same thing for all of them, actually.)
The afternoon was quiet, giving her time to do some inventory and ordering. She also got caught up on some of the family news, smiling when she saw a cousin had gotten a sort-of promotion and a special assignment. Actually, that seemed like something she should mention to Rodolfo and Alejandro - they might be able to help her cousin, and the other way around. Hm. Now that was something to consider.
Her musing was interrupted by a text from Gaz. A picture of the group of them, all squished together in the office. Soap was grinning broadly at the camera, as was Gaz. Rodolfo and Alejandro looked amused more than anything. Ghost just stared straight into the camera, and Price looked exasperated but amused.
She immediately saved the photo and tucked her phone away again.
Gaz didn’t come back down, which was fine. He didn’t actually work at the coffee shop, after all.
But Rodolfo did come down, smiling at her.
“Hi, Rodolfo.” She leaned one hip against the counter. “What can I get for you?”
“Actually, I have a question for you, bonita.” He stopped opposite her, holding her gaze.
“Yeah?” Rose blinked at him, curious.
“Do you have any plans Saturday evening?” He swallowed, a little nervous, but didn’t back down. “Alejo and I would love to have you for dinner.”
Rose blinked, lips parting in surprise. “I’m free,” she agreed, trying not to answer too quickly. “That sounds wonderful.”
“I can meet you here?” He offered her a hopeful smile. “I could show you a few recipes, if you like.”
Her answering smile was bright and she nodded eagerly. “Absolutely,” she agreed. “But let me take care of dessert, please?”
“Won’t say no to that.” His smile widened. “What time should I be here?”
Rose tapped her fingers against the counter. “I’m planning to close at 2, so any time around then.”
He nodded, leaning forward a little. “Got it,” he murmured. He paused then, looking at her more closely, and his shoulders relaxed a little before he smiled. “You look happier.”
“Do I?” Rose could feel herself blushing, tempted to duck her head. But she didn’t.
“You do. Is a good look on you, bonita.” His smile widened, one hand lifting to brush a finger over the apple of her cheek.
Rose did duck her head then, unable to hold his gaze. Rodolfo hummed softly, letting his hand fall, apparently unwilling to push.
“Alejo and I will be off-site tomorrow,” he told her, gently steering her back to steadier topics, giving her time to compose herself again. “But I will be here Saturday by 2.”
“Okay.” Rose took a deep breath and then smiled, a little shy and a lot pleased. “I hope it all goes well tomorrow for you two.”
“We’ll tell you all about it on Saturday.” He paused. “Well. What we can tell you.”
Rose nodded her understanding. “So long as you don’t get in trouble.”
“With Price?” He outright snorted. “Would take a lot more than telling you too much.”
Curiosity made her lean forward a bit, but good sense held her back from asking. “Even so.”
He nodded, just once, gaze intent on hers. “Even so,” he agreed softly. “I should go. Have a good rest of your day.”
“You too.” Rose couldn’t help but smile as he left, excitement rising in her chest.
Saturday could not come fast enough for her.
Fortunately, Friday went quickly and easily, with another person coming in for an interview. That one went well, and Rose made a mental note to call them back next week. Soap spent a good portion of the day in the shop, warm and easy.
Really, Rose had no idea how she’d gotten so lucky with these guys, but she had. She made another mental note to find a way to show them how much she appreciated them.
A look at the calendar gave her an idea, and she hummed to herself. That might just work.
She just needed a big enough kitchen.
But that could be figured out later. For now, she had to finish out the day. And the next.
No problem.

Multifaceted
Mike Schmidt x reader one shot (short)
Summary: You’re Mikes neighbour and friend who babysits Abby and offers up Mike legal advice thanks to your father being a lawyer. You’ve been friends for a year and finally after a stressful talk you get somewhere you’ve only fantasized about.
Warnings: 18+ MINORS DNI; no she/her but female anatomy, needy Mike, cumming in boxers, male orgasm only, dry humping, praise, talking through orgasm, reader comforts Mike, no verbal consent, begging from Mikey moo and my first time writing. Lmk how to improve, if I made mistakes, or missed any warnings.
Tumblr media
You turned your head away from the pan to him with a cheeky smile. “Breakfast.” You state simply, Mike rolled his eyes but came in peparing himself a coffee beside you. Mike hated when you cooked, he felt he wasn’t doing his part for the house and his sister, even though you’ve told him plenty of times it wasn’t a big deal.
“Some people broke into the the pizzaria last night, Vanessa came to warn me about it.” You raised your eyebrows in shock, taking the pancake off the pan and plating it for him. “Did you know who did it?” Mike shook his head, taking the plate for you. “I’m gonna keep Abby’s in the oven, okay?” You say referring to her pancakes, he gave you a tight smile, picked up his plate and coffee and took it to the table.
You sat across from him watching him eat, you could easily tell there was something wrong, something beyond you disrespecting his wishes to not cook, or clean. “What’s up man, you seem off.” Looking up and back to his plate a few times, he seemed to be a little lost in thought. “My aunt, she just keeps,” He sighed pulling his free hand down his face, before looking to the side, refusing to meet his eyes.
“I’m starting to think I should let her take custody of Abby, she’s right I’m not fit.” You scoff crossing your arms and leaning back in your chair. Mike knew you hated this conversation, you’ve had it several times this month and you always have had unpleasant things to say about what his aunt defines as good care.
“Hun, no offence, but plain and simple your aunts a bitch. You giving her Abby would only prove to her that you think you’re unfit. You’re not.”Mike sat up straighter now eyes staring straight through you with a firey intensity that made you tingle in shameful places. “Abby has no friends, she doesn’t talk to anyone, barely even me, she has imaginary ghost friends YN, ghosts!” He exclaimed hands jesturing in front of him rapidly.
“That’s okay! It’s healthy when a child’s lonely to make up fake friends to fill a void y’know? They do the same with toys too, giving them sentients it builds… empathy, y’know?” You reassured, but you could tell by the tired look in Mike’s eyes it wasn’t doing anything for him. “Listen, you’re working your ass off for her, to give that all up is more of a fuck you to Abby than anything else. If you have to give custody over to Jane let it be legally proven. It’ll drain her bank, and stress her just as much as you. Whatever paperwork you need fax it to my fathers law firm I’ll get him to write up the papers.” You rant watching as Mike finished up his food and listened.
For a moment you two were silent, Mike was looking down at his hands in his lap as he picked his hang nails. He glanced up at you, your face just as tired as his. You’d been here nearly everyday, sleeping on the couch, cooking Abby and him breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cleaning up, doing laundry. He felt like a failure in more ways then one, a failure and a liar for not telling you about the pizzaria or his attempts to dream about Garret.
“I don’t want you to clean or cook.” Mike stood, purposefully starting a new argument seeing as the last one he lost. You followed in persuit crossing your arms and attempting to keep calm. Little did Mike know, you loved him too much to be unnecessarily cruel to him, you know what kind of situation he’s in. “Mike you buy the food I cook it, it’s an exchange. You can make up for it later.”
Mike flopped on the couch and urged you over with a wave. The two of you sat on the couch, your pillow and blanket still there begging for the two of you to lay and rest your tired heads. “Look at me?” Stern yet quiet his voice softly rang through your ears. You loved his voice so much, sometimes you wondered if he notice the effect it had on you when he was trying to act strong, manly, brave. It always had you swooning. In times like this when he uses that tone, on just you privately you wonder, was it purposeful.
“You can’t do this for us forever, alright? You need a job too, money. You can’t stay here twenty four seven.” You bit your lip, he was serious about this it was obvious he wouldn’t let it go.
“Mike, I don’t want to leave. I want to be here, the best part of my day is waking up Abby, and seeing you after work.” Looking at you again, you looking back, the two of you shared a moment of silence. Then without warning he speedily snaked his hand behind you neck and pulled you toward him, launching up to meet your lips. You gasped but that’s about all you did completely at his mercy as he roped you in.
You kissed back in a haste, gripping his hoodie and pulling him closer into you. Mike opened his mouth slightly, and you missed no beats joining him, slipping your tongue into his mouth as he did the same to you. Grabbing your hips he pulled you forward slightly, understanding the message you tossed your leg over his and sat yourself on his lap, feeling the bulge against you. He whimpered softly into your mouth as you grinded softly against him, testing the waters.
As you did he snuck his hands beneath your shirt, feeling up your back and around to your breasts, grabbing handfuls of your flesh and needing them. Whining you backed away from the kiss, looking down at his red lips swollen and wet, face red and eyes glossed. You could’ve came just at the sight of him. “You’re gonna fuck me.” You ordered raspily, he looked dazed up at you nodding.
You nodded back at him in confirmation and pecked his lips again, moving down his neck as you undid his belt and unzipped his jeans. He squirmed under you, chest heaving as he attempting to control his state. “Shuffle these down.” You say tugging his pants, and without a hesitation he pushed his hips up cause you to slip down against erection. He groaned wasting no time shimmying his pants down to his knees while you smiled down at him, loving the effect you had on him.
“Mike you have no idea how much I love taking care of you, will you please just let me take care of you?” You hum caressing his clothed chest, still pushing your legging covered clit against his dick. You could feel him twitching under you, he had your hips in a tight grip bound to leave bruises. “God, please, please I’ll do anything just to have you around me.” He moaned out head thrown back eyes closed as he started humping you.
You smiled angling yourself so he ever time he humped up into you, the head of his cock nudged at you swollen clit. “You like that Mikey, hm? Gonna release that tension for me, yeah?” You whispered getting more confident. He moanedsilently looking through his lashes at you, as if you were an angel. “Yeah, I needa cum, please.” He begged wrapping his arms around your torso, burrying his head your neck kissing and biting it.
“C’mon then, we can’t leave so needy, give me what I need, give yourself what you need.” You whisper into his hair grinding down on him harder. He started humping up into you faster, panting into your neck as you racked your fingers through his hair gripping and pulling occasionally. Suddenly he bit down on your shoulder, letting out a breathy whine as he came in his boxers below you.
You smiled kissing his head, sure you may have not gotten to the sex, but having him at your mercy begging you, was more than enough for one day. He stayed there a few moment breathing in your scent as you played with his hair, just soaking each other in. Leaning back he looked up at your face as you smiled pridefully. “I owe you the world.”

The Scientific Method
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
It was hard to believe that Kat had only worked at Doctor Schreber’s office for about three weeks. It felt like she’d been there for years. Things were going well for her lately. She had a great new job, she could pay her rent and afford to eat on one paycheck, and she was even able to start paying down her debts. And her boss wasn’t a creep, finally, she couldn’t forget about that. Finally working for someone who seemed to actually respect her as a person had changed her for the better, and it showed in her outlook.
She’d even made friends with the Doctor’s little white lab rat, Archibald, who had made it a habit to announce her presence whenever she appeared at the door of the lab with an excited squeak. Bringing him a little treat with her lunch became a cute daily ritual, one that always brightened her mood.
Before she’d gotten this job, life hadn’t always been kind to her. She had no family, no friends to speak of, in the City or anywhere else. She was on her own. Usually she liked it that way, being on her own was what she knew, just getting by without the help of anyone else was how she lived. She’d been proud of making it on her own for the time that she had, before that last job threw it all in the gutter.
She had been walking absentmindedly for a few minutes, her mind wandering through these thoughts as easily as she wound through the streets of the City she’d grown up in. She was lost in thought when a man stepped in front of her, blocking her way out of the alley she’d been walking down. He was tall, heavyset but not fat, wearing a long duster coat and sporting a black fedora on his head.
“Where do you think you’re goin’ little lady?” He grinned, revealing a gold tooth on the right side of his mouth. He smelled as if he hadn’t bathed in several days and in that time had gone a bit overboard with the liquor, though these details she wouldn’t remember later to relay to the police, her panic sending her into fight or flight. Or freeze apparently because that’s all she’d done so far during this encounter. He slid behind her, an arm around her neck, and led her backwards into the shadow of the alley.
“I was just gonna rob ya, but now I think I’ll have a little fun while I’m at it.” He chuckled as she felt the blade of a small knife at her throat. She panicked at this, slamming her body backward into the man, throwing him off balance and freeing herself from his grip. She turned, kicking him hard in the groin before running away as fast as she could (faster than she thought she could, for that matter). She heard him grunt and hit the ground as she ran. She hoped she’d left the bastard with at least a nasty bruise for his trouble, she’d realize later she’d also left him her bag as a consolation prize, but at least she’d gotten away safely.
She was closer to work than she was home, so she went there, it was the only place she could think of to go, hoping the Doctor would be there. She didn’t want to be alone right now. The elevator attendant eyed her strangely as he pulled the lever to take them to the third floor.
“Bit late for you to be here, isn’t it?” he asked.
“Yeah.” She replied shortly before giving a nervous laugh. They’d arrived at the third floor. She got out of the car and thanked him.
“Well have a good night, little lady,” he said before disappearing into the floor.
His words sent a fresh wave of panic through her and she slid to the floor, back to the wall, while she attempted to catch her breath. The doctor must have heard the elevator door clanging on its way down, as he appeared at the door of his lab a moment later. He looked around, confused and a little worried as to who might be visiting him at this hour, expecting the worst.
Then he saw Kat, hunched over with her back against the wall. He rushed over to her, kneeling in front of her.
“Katherine, can you hear me?” a bit of panic tinged his voice as he spoke. He took her hands in his, they were cold. She was breathing rapidly and he felt as if he could hear her heart hammering. She was in shock. He gently helped her up and led her to the room where they’d conducted that first interview, helping her to sit down on the overstuffed leather couch and wrapping a worn blanket he’d found in his lab around her back. He pulled his chair up close and checked her pulse, it was slowing.
“Katherine, can you hear me?” he repeated after he’d situated her as comfortably as he could. She slowly looked up at him as if seeing him for the first time. She nodded.
“I can hear you,” she stated flatly, tiredly.
“Katherine, what happened?” he asked.
“I’m sorry, Doctor, I just… I didn’t know where else to go,” her voice was choked as if she were holding back a sob. “I just didn’t want to be alone.”
Gently he coaxed the story of what happened from her, his anger growing over what she’d been through that night. He wouldn’t let this happen again. Once she’d calmed down, he called the police. About a half hour later two officers finally showed up to take her account of what happened. He stayed with her while they questioned her, his hand on her shoulder and a protective eye on her.
After the ordeal was over and the police report filed, they found themselves alone again.
“I’m so sorry about this, Doctor, I’ll just-”
“Daniel.”
“I’m sorry?” “You can call me Daniel, Katherine.”
“I guess this means you should call me Kat,” she responded with a small, very tired smile.

bright beginnings
and in the end, you never really expect what’s coming for you, do you? you don’t. and that’s the fun thing about life. the craziness.
pairing: single dad!joseph quinn x fem!reader wc: 1.4k warnings: none in this part, but eventually there will probably be smut? i’m not sure yet.
part two
it wasn’t every day that you had a set of twins attached at your hip.
but then again, you did work in a daycare so it was inevitable.
riley and thomas had been stuck to your hip the day you started working at bright beginnings daycare, barely letting you do anything besides play with them. it was cute in the beginning, but it had gotten to the point where you could barely sneak off to take your lunch, and most of the time ended up taking your lunch during nap time. which wasn’t horrible, per se, it was quiet. but it was also weird being the only employee in the break room. your boss probably thought you were avoiding responsibilities by doing that.
which, for the record, you weren’t. you were just really fucking hungry.
and if you were being honest, you didn’t even know who your boss was. well, in theory you did, but a few months after you got hired the former boss stepped down and a new one took over. this new boss you had yet to meet. which was probably a bit weird, but… he? she? you weren’t sure what pronouns they used. either way, it was definitely interesting that you hadn’t met your new boss and it had been about a month since the switch over. it was something you probably should ask your coworkers about, but at this point, you were more concerned about the fact that riley was most definitely coming down with a cold and was super clingy. and you needed to eat your lunch or you were going to starve.
thankfully, lucille, your coworker, let you sit at the front desk with riley in your lap as you ate your leftovers from the easter dinner your aunt had made. your aunt was a gem, especially for letting you live with her after you decided to say fuck it and move to london. it had been a dream of yours since you were a child to live “across the pond”, and while leaving your childhood home was hard, you found a new home in your aunt’s guest room and a free pass to her alcohol cabinet. not that you were a big drinker when you were alone, but you were definitely a social drinker. it was a lot easier to find people to go out with back home, since you had been pretty social in high school. but now that you were 23 and looking to settle down, the need for partying every night had dwindled and you found yourself here, at a daycare, unintentionally fueling your baby fever.
which you definitely did not need a child right now, thank you very much.
poor riley didn’t seem to be getting any better, but at least she had fallen asleep in your arms so you could enjoy a semi-quiet lunch. with her going down for a nap now instead of later you knew it would be interesting, but you could take her out to the playset if it wasn’t too cold. switching from fahrenheit to celsius still had you messed up, but your coworkers were very understanding and took the time to make sure you got the conversions right. lucille poked her head around the corner as the kids made their way to nap time, shooting a worried glance down at the three year old in your arms.
“is she feeling any better?”
“not really, she’s been out for about thirty minutes. she still feels pretty warm though so i’m going to take her temperature before i forget.”
lucille sighed, shooting her an empathetic look. “when i checked her earlier she was 37.” a beat. “that’s considered low grade here.”
“that makes sense.”
it did not make sense in your poor american brain, but you were bound to understand it eventually.
“could you hand me the thermometer while you’re over there?”
“of course.”
moments later the thermometer beeped and the number 38.3 flashed across the screen. confused, you looked up to your coworker who sighed to herself, running a hand through her hair.
“i’m gonna go check on thomas real fast, make sure he’s not catching it either.”
after a quick google search for confirmation that yes, 38.3 was on the high side for a low grade fever, you debated calling the twins’ mother to let them know what was going on. at this point, you could cycle through their list of trusted contacts to see who would be willing to come pick them up. it was the middle of the work day, which sucked, but there was no way you were going to let a sickly child stay here when they could be cuddling with… well, not their mother, but a mother figure. you would hate it if their mother stepped out of their life completely, but at this point, you wouldn’t be surprised.
there was subtle hints over the past few weeks that the mother… jordan? maybe? you honestly forgot her name since she barely talked to you. she had been coming less and less, having the twins be dropped off by neighbors or friends, stating that her work hours “didn’t leave time to bring her kids to daycare”. whatever that meant. you ran a comforting hand down riley’s back as she started to stir, bouncing a little bit as you paced the front lobby.
“alright, thomas seems to be doing okay. if you’re okay with keeping an eye on her, donna, lauren and i can take turns with thomas to make sure he doesn’t get sick.”
“that might be the best plan right now.” your american accent was a stark difference from lucille’s south london drawl. “do we have a contact for their father? i’d hate for them to not be able to go home until mom comes to pick them up. or… whoever she’s sending today.”
“i think we do, let me check.” moments later, a small aha could be heard as lucille flipped to a back page you hadn’t thought of checking. “yup, here we go. joseph quinn. his number should be this one right here.”
“amazing, thank you.”
“of course, doll.”
within the next few minutes you had your phone to your ear, bouncing riley ever so slightly as you waited for mr. quinn to pick up. you hated calling parents, especially when the child was sick, since it typically meant their days were upturned and plans went askew. but alas, a sick child couldn’t be at the clinic so you had to call dad, especially since mom wouldn’t do jack shit about it. she’d probably tell them to give the kids motrin and call it a day. which hypothetically you could do, but since her fever was reaching the limit to send kids home, you needed to get someone to come pick the kids up.
“hello?”
“ah, mr. quinn?”
“this is he.”
“hi, uh, this is y/n calling from bright beginnings, how are you?”
“i’m quite alright, is everything okay?”
“well, riley seems to have come down with a temperature of 38.3. we were wondering if there would be any possible way for you or mom to come pick up the kids. per policy, the kids do have to go home if they reach that temperature.”
“of course, yeah, i’ll be right there.”
within seconds the door to the office opened and someone stepped out, walking down the hall towards the front area.
“theres my darling girl.”
your grip tightened on riley instinctively. “we’re just waiting for her father.”
“oh, i am her father. joe quinn, nice to make your acquaintance.”
oh.
“i’m sorry, what?”
“yeah, i uh, the daycare fell into my hands a few weeks ago and i’ve been trying to get everything under control in the midst of a divorce. sorry i didn’t get to introduce myself sooner.”
“i uh… sorry i didn’t come find you sooner, mr. quinn. i’m y/n.”
“please, call me joe. and it's very nice to meet you, y/n. you said riley has a temperature?”
“yeah, it just ticked up to be 38.3 like five minutes before we-i called you. did you want us to try and give her any medicine or anything?”
“no, it’s quite alright, i can take her back to my office for now. i have a playpen in there for days when they’re too fussy to be with the kiddos.”
one graceful transfer later, mr.quinn was making his way down the hall and a singular thought was on your mind about it.
oh no. he’s hot.

Monsters in the Dark #16

“How’s things going with Billy?” asked Curtis, as you took a bite of your dorito taco. You were having a lunch date with him. He was your very first friend before Billy. You adored Curtis. He had found you on the streets, being attacked by several thugs. It took weeks to nurse you back to health.
Your boyfriend had kicked you out after cheating on you. Life had been hard after being in the system. He knew Billy would understand.
“Good,” you said happily after swallowing, “Billy’s sweet to me.”
Curtis laughed, raising an eyebrow.
“What?” You asked, curious.
“It’s just that I wouldn’t describe Billy as sweet.” Curtis said, taking a drink of his soda.
“He lets me sleep with him.” You told Curtis, smiling softly.
Curtis’ eyebrows shot up. “Oh?”
You nodded, “I had a nightmare the first night after you left me there. He let me in his bed, and held me. After that I kept sneaking in. So when we were at the bar last weekend, he said I could sleep with him whenever I wanted if I could hit the bullseye at darts.” You explained, finishing off your taco, and digging into your cinnamon dessert. This place was your favorite to eat at, and that was why Curtis brought you here. His treat.
Right now you worked at a library even though Billy insisted he could take care of you. You liked independence, though, and you were cautious.
Your ex had left you with nothing; you wanted the security in case anything went sour. You weren’t going to be defenseless again.
“And did you?” Curtis asked, cautiously.
“Uh huh!” You grinned, “I sleep with him every night now.” You missed the look of concern on Curtis’ face, but when you looked at him, he smiled and ruffled your hair.
He needed to talk to Billy. He loved his brother, but Billy was a known womanizer.
After that he asked how your work at the library was going, and listened to you chatter about that, and the cranky old lady you worked with.
“She’s so crusty!” You had said, rolling your eyes playfully.
Curtis laughed. And despite worrying about Billy, Curtis could tell he was having a good influence on you.
You’d been skittish when Curtis first found you, and now you seemed open and light hearted.
Still, he needed to hear from Billy that he wasn’t going to just drop you, and move on.
x
Curtis appeared at the penthouse a few nights later. “Can I talk to you, Billy?” He asked, and Billy frowned. It was clear Curtis wasn’t there for drinks.
“Sure, give me a minute.” Billy said, leaving Curtis in the living room.
He looked around the corner and into Billy’s bedroom. He was tucking you into bed, kissing your forehead, saying: “I’m gonna talk to Curt. I’ll be in, in a little bit.” His fingers squeezed your hips before letting go, a soft smile on his face.
Curtis was stunned. Billy was a hard man, not known for being soft. He made his living out of violence, and enjoyed it to some degree. It was why he was good at what he did. It was why Curtis placed you with Billy. He could protect you. But here he was being gentle with you.
Billy shut the door coming back out, stuffing his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants. “So, want a beer?” Billy asked.
“Nah, listen Billy, I'm here for her.” Curtis said, not bothering to beat around the bush.
Billy’s stomach dropped. Was Curtis taking you away? He’d gotten attached to you in the short amount of time he had you. He hated attachments yet here he was, afraid you were being taken from him. If he was, Billy wasn’t letting you go without a fight. “Yeah?”
“What are your intentions with her? She really likes you, and the men in her life haven’t treated her well.” Curtis said, stance rigid.
“What do you mean they haven’t?” Billy asked, ready to murder anyone who’d hurt you. It wasn’t hard to imagine someone hurting you, you were exceptionally kind and gentle. It wasn’t hard to rip the wings off a butterfly.
“Her boyfriend used her until he was done with her, before kicking her out onto the streets. Her dad used to beat her pretty bad, too. The pictures I’ve seen from police reports are pretty bad, Billy. I feel like her father has set a precedent for every man she’s encountered.” Curtis said, making Billy see red.
“Her mother was the only refuge she had. And I’m worried she’s finding refuge in you, and you’ll grow bored of her.” The tension was thick in the room, Curtis just wanted the best for you.
“I’m not gonna throw her aside, Curt.” Billy said through gritted teeth, angry at both what your father and boyfriend did to you, and Curtis’ implications. “I know what it’s like to be thrown away. Better than anyone else. Better than you. You forget, I lived in the system. My ma didn’t exactly want me.” Billy said bitterly.
“So—“
Billy cut him off, rolling his shoulder, “She’s mine, I’m not letting her go.” He said leaving no room for discussion.
Curtis stared at him for a moment, stance softening. He understood this was Billy’s way of saying he cared for you, “Just so long as her best interests are at heart.” He said. “Because the minute I think they aren’t—“
“They are.” Billy said, jaw ticking.
Curtis nodded, before leaving Billy standing there wondering how you’d wormed your way into his heart.
x
Billy crawled in with you that night, wrapping his arms around you, his insides melting when you rolled over and snuggled against him, cheek pressed to his chest,
He meant what he said to Curtis, he wasn’t letting you go. He understood Curtis cared for you, it was easy as Billy found out.
But Billy would rather chew off his own leg, than hurt you.
He slept that night, vowing to always keep you safe, to kill your enemies, and to be their worst nightmare.

My Boss
read the first chapter here.
Tumblr media
II
Kuina didn’t want to wait (y/n), she wanted to know now what happened. As soon (y/n) sent her a text that said “we need to talk about my boss”, her best friend start to spam messages. They agreed they would meet for lunch break, in a place where they could talk with no problem.
Working was particulary difficult that day, (y/n) couldn’t stop thinking about what happened in his office. She also didn’t know what to expect to happen to Chishiya’s party – the fact that she was overthinking about a hook-up wasn’t a good sign.
Everything was becoming even more stressful when Soari started to bother her with her questions.
“So?” Her smile made (y/n) to roll her eyes in the back of her head. Why did she want to know so bad? She wished that Niragi could fire her – but probably her big boobs were essential for this company.
“So?” She asked back, trying her best to avoid this conversation.
“So what did he ask?” Saori’s tone changed a bit, probably she wanted to roll her eyes back too. “Nothing,” (y/n) stood up and took her bag ready to meet Kuina. “He wanted the reports. That’s all.”
When (y/n) walked out of the building, her mind insulted Saori. Fuck her and her big boobs, she thought. For a moment, she thought if she wasn’t jealous of her boss. The thought made her stop walking and freezing. Why would she get jealous of a potential hook-up? She didn’t want to lie to herself, but she wanted to be the only one he would fuck if they end up as friends with benefits. Kind of like Kuina and Ann, but they clearly liked each other more than simple friends with benefits.
When (y/n) finally at the place, Kuina was already sitting to one of the table inside. They hugged each other and (y/n) was finally ready to order – she was too hungry – until Kuina said she already ordered their food.
“You must tell me what happened.” The serious tone in Kuina’s voice made (y/n)’s skin shiver.
“He called me in his office.”
Kuina almost screamed, catching the attention of the few people eating. “What did he say?”
“Well, he said-“ (y/n) got interrupted when the waitress brought to them the food, it looked delicious. They waited for the waitress to step away to continue the conversation. “He asked, not said, if I knew Chishiya.”
“Mmh.” Kuina was eating and listening at the same time.
“Kuina,” (y/n) stopped for a second before giving a small bite to her food. “You know something.”
“What do you mean?”
“You know what I mean.”
Kuina stopped herself from eating for a moment. “I’ll tell you after you tell me.”
By letting a small sigh, (y/n) continued. “I told him that he’s a very close friend of you, and after him insulting Chishiya for unknown reasons, he told me that he’s gonna be present to his party.”
“He’s already into you, see?” Kuina smiled and it made her friend’s cheeks becoming pink.
“I’m a little bit scared, though.”
“Why?” Kuina was surprised.
“I don’t know how these hook-up relationship work.”
“I mean,” Kuina finished, in the meanwhile, all her food. “There are important rules, let’s say.”
“For example?”
“I’d say the most important one is to not fall in love.”
Her stomach dropped, same for her gaze on the empty plate. She didn’t even start this “situationship” and was already scared to catch feelings for her boss. It was embarassing. She promised herself, mentally, that she wouldn’t fall in love with him. “Will you help me with the dress?”
Her best friend smiled. “Absolutely yes!”
Before leaving each other – to meet only later in the evening – Kuina grabbed (y/n)’s hand.
“Please,” her gaze became softer. “Always remember the rule I told you.”
“You’re right, I don’t want to fall in love like you did with Ann.”
“I’m not in love!”
“If you say so.”
They both laughed and hugged each other. Strangely, (y/n) felt incredible sad.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
It was finally evening when (y/n) was ready for the party. Her dress looked perfect for her body shape, like if she was a kind of goddess. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror, until she was back into reality when Kuina texted her saying she was waiting in her car.
She entered in Kuina’s car, being speechless because of pretty her bestfriend was.
Kuina blushed a little when (y/n) started to compliment her. “Look at you! You’re so pretty.”
“Oh, c’mon, stop now (y/n).”
“As you say, pinky cheeks.”
“You’re gonna be pinky cheeks too when you’ll get your dick tonight.”
“Kuina!”
It was a costant teasing and they both liked it. In this way their friendship started: they were both waiting at the doctor – oh, look, Chishiya – when Kuina made a random joke and (y/n) couldn’t stop laughing. They knew each other for years now and they told everything to each other, this is why (y/n) felt safe enough to ask advices to Kuina about her sex life. The car ride seemed so short, but it was normal when you have fun. Getting out of the car, (y/n) couldn’t believe how big Chishiya’s house was. She felt so little by thinking her own apartment.
There were a lot people already and Kuina excused herself to meet Ann. “I’ll be back very soon, I promise.” She didn’t believe it, but at least (y/n) was happy that Kuina’s “girlfriend” was there too. She couldn’t see Niragi anywhere and she hoped she could see him tonight. She was feeling lonely already in her corner.
“Look who we got here.” When (y/n) looked up to see who spoke, she was surprised to see Chishiya. He looked so handsome in his dark suit. “Hi Chishiya, happy birthday.” She gave him the present she bought for him – hoping he would like it – and he smiled at it.
“Your beautiful presence in that dress is already a present for me.”
She didn’t know what to say. Was he flirting with her? Her face was on fire. “You’re too kind.”
“I was wondering if-“ Chishiya stopped talking when Niragi put himself between you both. Whatever was happening, (y/n) wanted to run away.
“Hello (y/n), I want to talk with you.” Niragi didn’t even looked at Chishiya, like if he didn’t exist. He stepped away and waited for her.
“If you excuse me.” She apologized to Chishiya who smiled at her, letting her go. She felt bad for him, but she wasn’t surprised after hearing her boss insulting him.
“I hate him and this boring ass party.” Niragi said while he grabbed a drink.
She laughed at his reaction. “Then why are you here?”
“For you, of course.”
“For me?” She didn’t want to look into his eyes.
“Don’t play dumb, (y/n)” his face was closer to hers. “You know I’m here for you.”
“And how can I make it less boring, then?”
“I like this way of thinking.” He smiled at her. “Let’s have a drink in my house.”
She simply nodded. It was incredibly easy how (y/n) followed Niragi in his big car – logical thinking all the money he had – she felt like it could happen anyday of her life. She forgot to tell Kuina, but (y/n) thought her best friend would understand what happened and not worry about her. She could still text her later, maybe.
“Do you enjoy silent car ride?”
Niragi made her stop thinking about her best friend. “No, just thinking how cool this car is.”
Niragi’s ego boosted in that moment, accelerating a bit.
She looked out of the widow, letting the cold breeze touching her skin. She thought how much she would have liked Niragi’s hand on her thigh, but probably it was too soon for something like that. On the other hand, she liked this part of him being respectful.
If his car was big, his house was even bigger. At the same level of Chishiya’s house. Her mind thought about how easy is life when you’re this rich. The inside too was a reminder of how rich – and proudly so – he was. For a moment (y/n) felt she didn’t belong there.
“Your house is so beautiful.”
He smiled and went to the little bar spot he had next to the kitchen. “What do I make for you?”
“Oh, no preference, you choose.”
He didn’t stop staring at you not even for a second. Even if he was doing something else, his eyes were still on you.
“You look beautiful in that dress.”
She knew she was definitely red. “Do you think so?”
“Since when I met you.”
You didn’t want to fall into this sweet trap. You felt it was probably his common routine for every girl he fucked, smart move. She fake-smiled at him, trying to not ruin something that didn’t even start.
“You know why you’re here” he gave her the glass. “Right, (y/n)?”
“Oh, I definitely know.” (y/n) drank staring into his eyes.
“I asked you because I want to make some stuff clear.”
She was confused; for him it was something actually serious, then.
“Are you a virgin?”
She almost choked on her drink. “No! I mean…no.”
He didn’t laugh at her reaction, not even at her frustrated expression – even if he thought it was pretty – but simply smiled. “Nothing to be ashamed of.”
“I’m not.”
He nodded. “Do you have a problem with rough sex?”
She felt this conversation embarassing, but not because of him. Because of her; she was an adult and a topic about sex made her feel in this way. “No, I don’t.” In reality, (y/n) didn’t know. She always had “normal” sex.
“I have a rule.” He licked his lips after finishing his drink. “If we start fucking, I can fuck you whatever and wherever I want. Is it a problem for you?”
She felt warm between her legs. “I’m fine with it.”
He grinned with satisfation. “Then I’m sure we’ll get along.”
“I have a question.”
“Tell me.”
She hoped he wouldn’t laugh at her. “Do you…do you meet other people too in this type of situation?”
“If I’m fucking you,” he got closer, “I’ll only fuck you.”
Oh, (y/n) could swear she wanted to moan in that right moment.
“Undress yourself.”
She hesitated only for a second, before doing what he asked. Her dress fell off, together with her underwear – underlining the fact (y/n) wasn’t wearing a bra, making Niragi getting turned on even more. He grabbed her waist, squeezing tightly and pushing them both on the couch. She felt so little under him. Niragi started to kiss her, while his hands were busy to unfasten his belt and freeing his cock. He didn’t plan to get inside (y/n) already , oh no. He wanted to make her even wetter. His free hands were now on her body, in particular on her hips, so he could grind against her cunt harder.
“Niragi…please,” her moans started to fill the entire room and he loved it.
“Beg more.” He was sucking on her earlobe, his heavy breathing against her skin. She was so warm.
“Get inside.” She found strength to speak, until her moans controlled her mouth again.
“I don’t hear you.”
His mouth was now on one of her nipples, sucking hard. Her hand in his hair pushed his mouth deeper.
“I need you.”
Her climax was over the edge when Niragi was finally buried into her with a single hard thrust. Her back arched at the feeling. He started to fuck (y/n) with a rhythm that was fast and hard, thrusting in and out no stop. Her cunt tighten around him.
“You’re so tight,” he was heavy breathing too. “So tight for me.”
Her nails started to torture his back, only to make him faster. He covered his moans by kissing her and biting her lower lip. They were both so close.
One of his fingers started to rubbing harder her clit, making her mind becoming literally white. She couldn’t think properly anymore. Niragi kept thrusting until they both came at the same time, leaking out of her.
He took some time before catching his breath. “Are you on birth control?”
She simply nodded, too tired to answer.
He couldn’t explain why, he wasn’t a type very much into “after sex affections”, but he felt the urge to caress (y/n)’s face, softly. Making her smile at him.
“Good.” He simply said before laying his head on her chest.
She couldn’t believe what just happened.

Week 1
You: Let’s see how this works?
You: Okay… I wasn’t sure if I was going to get an auto message each time one failed. It just notes it with a little red mark on the message itself. Not too bad.
You: You probably don’t care about that or already know.
You: These probably aren’t the first messages you wanted to read when you got back
You: I should have thought of something more poignant like…
You: It’s been one day and I miss you already
You: How was that?
You: I didn’t stand a chance against my roommate. She crashed into the bathroom this morning when I was trying to change my bandages saying she knew something was up. She was furious.
You: Not at you though!
You: The injuries read accident to her, like a car accident or something? Her voice was so loud. Stupid concussion is killing me. Hard to make sense
You: She made her point though. She was pissed I hid it from her which is fair.
You: You know you straight up said you were gonna tell me what happened. It was the classic I tell you, you tell me
You: And yet!
You: I still don’t know.
You: …
You: I don’t know
You: Work catered today, they want to start up weekly catering. I feel like this is one of those things where they’re going to give us a dumb perk so they can take something really messed up away
You: I saw a video where they were discussing supposed new and revolutionary tech. It doesn’t even come close to the few things I’ve seen of yours. Is it frustrating to know society is so far behind you?
You: So Kaleb has a cat now! He literally came home from work and there was just a cat in his apartment. He got her checked out and she wasn’t chipped. He’s still going to put out notices just in case, but she has already taken to sleeping on his stomach. He’s a goner
You: Her name is Graham Cracker
You: I found 20 bucks on the sidewalk today!
You: Seems lucky, but I’m sort of afraid of luck these days
You: Oh
You: I guess I never told you about that…
You: I haven’t seen those other stupid turtles
You: It doesn’t feel like I’m being watched
You: I feel like I would know, but I’m also not sure
You: Bored today, how about a play by play
You: Breakfast was these microwave mini quiches. It feels so fancy, but it takes a minute and the party sized box means I got food for more than a week!
You: There’s a lady walking and eating a bowl of chili at 834am. I want to know more about her life
You: One of my cubicle mates is coughing up a storm. I heard one of my co-workers ask why she won’t go home. She says she can rest better at work. No fine, just get the rest of us sick.
You: Lunch break! I tried making onigirazu after we had them from that shop, do you remember? They were so good. Mine taste okay, but look terrible. Eh.
You: I don’t usually succumb to the midafternoon slump, but lately I just don’t feel like I have much to look forward to.
You: Wait that sounds bad…
You: Moving on!
You: Freedom!
You: Ugh the whole apartment smells like beans, why has my roommate done this to me!?
You: She also like made dinner so I guess I can’t complain too much
You: Tastes good
You: I’m supposed to progress like business is usual
You: Go through my normal routine
You: Act like nothing happened
You: But something did happen
You: Sorry, I shouldn’t even write this.
You: Disregard
Week 2
You: Some of these packages are straight up unfair
You: Like it started out with cute little things like that monstera spoon
You: Which I’ve already used to strain veggies by the way!
You: But this sticker pack?
You: Like sure I mentioned this show meant a lot to me as a kid, but how did you know which character was my favorite?
You: There is no way you hacked anything to get that info!
You: Could you tell based on my other interests? Do you know me that well?
You: So… I’m not proud of this and full disclosure I went to your apartment last night
You: I guess it’s not your apartment anymore
You: It’s not like I could get in
You: I was sort of drunk and ended up there
You: I just wanted to see it
You: Everything is happening and it feels real
You: I go to work, I see my co-workers, we eat lunch, we do work, I commute home, I see my friends, I see my roommate, but it all feels so fucking hollow
You: Just
You: Anyway, Sheldon was pissed. He kept buzzing my gauntlet over and over
You: He won’t talk to me.
You: I mean obviously he wouldn’t I knew he wouldn’t he
You: You
You: Said he wouldn’t it jeopardizes the plan. He’s only supposed to be there to keep watch.
You: I never saw him, just that damn vibration
You: I left after that.
You: I have a major fucking headache so I guess I learned my lesson
You: I’m drinking water by the way
You: Like you care
You: Woof that looks bad the next day…
You: I was in a bad mood
You: I’m sorry
You: Will these messages make sense without the time stamps?
Week 3
You: Well?
You: Fuck
You: Stupid ocean of texts and shitty red marks
You: Feels like I failed a test
You: I knew there wasn’t a timeline, but in my mind there was
You: I had to count down to something
You: Three weeks made sense
You: Isn’t that like the meaning of a ‘few’ weeks?
You: I went to the art installation with a friend.
You: It was really cool
You: I took some pictures, but not as many as I said
You: Or I guess that wasn’t really an agreement.
You: We never really discussed how that would go
You: A lot of things left unsaid
You: I wonder what I keep expecting
You: Like are you going to show up when you come back?
You: Will I get a calendar invite?
You: Are you just going to respond?
You: Hi
You: Hey
You: Are you in town and your phone is off?
You: Will I even know when you get back?
You: I know you promised, but I don’t think you ever really got my side
You: Oh shit
You: What are you going to do? Stop me?
You: Fuck you
You: Your self worth sucks shit
You: Ha! You can’t say anything back!
You: Seriously what am I in comparison ?
You: I’m just some stupid human. I’m not special. I’m just living my life.
You: I don’t like think I’m ugly or anything. I’m alright. I’m me at the end of every day
You: But you?
You: Seriously fuck you
You: This sucks because I’m actually pumped I get to say what I’m about to say without your stupid emo interruptions but then
You: It just reminds me that you aren’t here
You: Nope not gonna be sad!
You: Anyway
You: Then there’s you.
You: You’re caring. You’re interesting. You’re mysterious. You put on airs like nothing matters when things matter way too much. Plus you’re gorgeous. You’re strong. You’re cut out of fucking marble. You’re a literal walking sculpture. You’re smart. You’re so smart it's actually stupid AND you’re a great lay which is literally unfair to existence. You shouldn’t be all those things
You: Like share with the rest of us!
You: Why the fuck would you come back to me?
You: What could I possibly offer in comparison to that?
You: You should be with the prettiest model genius the world has ever seen
You: Why
You: Should you come back
You: It doesn’t make sense.
Week 4
You: I think I was given too much time to think
-
Kicking your door open, you stared into your apartment.
It was empty.
You knew that for a fact.
Your roommate had left that very morning to go see her parents for their anniversary.
You were stuck alone.
What a pathetic Friday night.
What else was new?
Crossing the threshold you simply let your coat fall on the floor along with your bag and other useless requirements that validated your existence. There had also been another package. It rolled uselessly out from your things and over to the two others that you had yet to open from this week. Ignoring them as you had been, you threw a foot back. The door slammed shut from it and, with a flick of the wrist, you locked it.
“Welcome home to the sad life of those left waiting!”
You don’t know why you were being so dramatic today.
Trudging away from the pile, you tread towards the kitchen. You weren’t really hungry, but you’d barely picked at your lunch. Fridays had become a testament to capitalistic arrogance as they were days free of meetings and barely filled with work. Still, refusal to adopt some kind of hippie foreign policy kept the higher ups from making the smarter decision to commit to a four day work week. If they had finally exercised some sense, maybe you could have waited until Monday for your reprimand.
It’s not like you meant to send out the work up to the client with an oxford comma.
By all accounts, it was necessary.
Who has a vendetta against a tiny pen flick anyway?
Wandering away from the counter you had approached for no reason, you changed course for the fridge. Light poured from the empty shelves as your roommate had strategically laid out her groceries so she could stuff the thing with party leftovers when she got back.
You, on the other hand, just hadn’t had the sense to shop.
Why do so when you were out almost every other night?
What was left in the cold storage was sauces and not even the most basic building blocks of a meal. Sighing, you switched to the freezer where there was mostly frost bitten ice cream and a box that was far too large for the amount of pretzels it contained. It would do, but lacked some form of protein you probably needed. Flicking up the edge of some pita that definitely needed to be tossed, you glimpsed a box. Pulling it out, it was some discounted freezer meal you had grabbed in case of emergency. Staring at it, you stepped away enough that the door closed.
You could always order in.
Looking out indifferently, your wallet said otherwise. You were due to get paid Monday and you’d been stretching yourself thin in an incessant need to leave the house.
Avoiding one’s thoughts didn’t need to be so damn expensive.
Giving up, you turned and made the few steps toward the microwave. You only sort of gleaned the instructions before reaching for the device’s handle. Your sleeve lifted and there was a peak of your gauntlet underneath it. You quickly slapped the food in and slammed the microwave closed. S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N.’s silence had been deafening. He wasn’t supposed to respond, you knew that, but that didn’t keep you from whispering to him in the middle of the night.
You were such a fucking burden.
Turning away from the ticking dial, you headed towards your abandoned things.
Your phone was in there.
The device had been essentially glued to your hand for three straight weeks. It was only in the last few days that you couldn’t bear to look at it. It was the same case with the unopened packages.
Waiting had made you bitter.
Waiting had driven you out in an endless crawl of the city.
Waiting drained your wallet and mind.
You were still waiting.
The microwave beeped in time. Hobbling over to it, you did some stirring and put it right back in for its final rotations. It already paled in comparison to its poster package counterpart, but it only needed to be palatable.
As did everything else.
Walking away again, you headed towards the couch and avoided sitting to hover in front of the TV with the remote. You flipped over to a movie you had heard your gossipy coworker raving about and set it right at its opening studio notes. A completed beep sounded and you went to retrieve your sad looking dinner. It was far too hot and you let it burn the countertop as you got a drink. You then balanced it on scorched fingertips back to the couch before hitting play. You sank down into the cushions before you realized you’d forgotten a utensil. Groaning at the prospect, you left the movie playing as you got a fork. On the way back, you bumped your drink as you sat and barely saved it from a tumble to the floor. In retribution for preventing its freedom, it sloshed onto your pants and you simply stared at the stain before giving up to grab your food.
Dialog had started as you scooped a bite into your mouth. You immediately scrunched up and chewed as if you were forced to. The texture was wrong and the flavor seemingly took on the mealy quality in a way you couldn’t describe. Thinking only that this was the reason it had been discounted, you ate more out of sheer necessity. With a few calories down, you abandoned the meal to watch the movie. It seemed to be something about a match of two close friends whose quirks led them to really only understanding one another. You were curious what had gotten your coworker riled up when a diagnosis occurred.
Suddenly trapped, you were too far in to do anything and nursed your drink as the movie took a haunting turn. Slowly the routine the pair had going for years was eroded and your chest ached. Still in a rising action, something about the thought of them not being able to watch their favorite movie together again got you. Tears were soon streaming down your face and, as the climax hit, warbled voices speaking of fear activated memories you had tried to keep at bay. The end of the movie sort of happened and by the credits you were hanging your head.
The love was platonic.
No one died.
By all accounts it wasn’t similar at all, so why has this of all things broken you?
Squeezing your face as if it were a sponge to wring out excess tears, you stormed to get a snack. Predictably, or cosmically, the cupboards were bare minus a strange jar of pickled rounds you couldn’t identify and a single popcorn bag that was leaking out of a torn corner. Grimacing at the thought of what that might mean, you cleaned out the cabinet as a whole and ended up accidentally slipping off the counter in the process. You mostly saved yourself, but still hit your funny bone. It exaggerated the stupid tears that kept easily finding their way out of your ducts.  Wilting down to the ground and nursing your arm, you stared out across your apartment.
This was all so dumb.
You were being dramatic.
You hadn’t broken up.
You weren’t even taking a break.
He was just gone on a trip.
So to speak.
It was as if you were pulling a reverse of what should be. You’d opened so strong with Donatello. You’d put yourself out there with a confidence that welled from an unknown source. As things got more serious, excitement blinded you. Seeing him was an automatic hit of serotonin so who were you to examine the cracks that seemed to always form every single time something interrupted that. It was alarming that small absences sent you down negative paths so quickly. It was as if the improbability of him accepting a courting had bolstered you. Without that seemingly assured futility paired with his rapidly increasing reciprocation, things were simply too real. Greater weight meant greater loss. The thought of which chained your heart.
You pulled your knees up to your chest and set your chin atop them. Your mind swirled with anxieties and the many questions left unanswered. You’d determined to keep from thinking for just this reason. It only lead down dark paths. You were isolated and had no one but yourself to turn to. Sinking further down, more tears snuck free. This time had been especially illuminating on that front. Your woes were confined to your mind. It seemed like the closer you got to Donatello, the less you could tell others what was happening. It hadn’t been expressly forbidden, but his matters felt either private or, at the very least, illegal in some capacity.
Sure, your friends had seen your mutant boyfriend, but who would believe you just so happened to be jumped by three more who were coincidentally created in the same experiment to eradicate mankind?
Raising up enough to bump your head back against the cabinets, you thought about the physical healing you’d done.
At least you’d made some strides in some department.
It meant undoing them would be all the sweeter.
You needed something greasy.
Standing, you checked the time. It was just late enough that the family places were closed, but early enough that people were just heading out for wild nights. With delivery fees still looming overhead, you looked down at yourself. You’d garnered another stain; this one on your shirt. Caring very little, you marched toward the door. With a swift kick, you toppled the pile you’d left there and rooted out your phone and wallet. Pocketing the device before you could see it, you checked for cash and found that lost bill peeking out. It felt like a sort of fate that you hadn’t thought to use it as a tip elsewhere.
Hitting the street, you stuffed your hands among your possessions. Friday’s poise showed in the passersby and you felt schlubby in comparison. Scrubbing your face only stung where the tears salted your skin and you heard a group of guys laugh. Reminding yourself it wasn’t for you, you turned a corner heading towards the closest fast food chain. Though you’d been out most of the week, the irritations of the day and lonely aspects of the night commingled miserably. You did your best to keep the irrational abandonment at bay, but it seemed incessant.
When had you become so clingy?
You tried to remember before, but it all seemed so futile. In the span of your life you had several decades of time without him and yet they seemed to pale in comparison. It was a red flag of your own making and not one you were keen on taking with you whenever he did return. You needed to temper expectations. You had to act like you hadn’t had trouble sleeping or eating. You needed to stop convincing yourself that your little benders weren’t a necessary evil. You knew better. You needed to miss him less than he clearly missed you.
There it was again.
Wincing so hard a few more stupid tears leaked out, you stopped walking to press your sleeve to your face.
It was obvious.
You didn’t know that for sure.
Why weren’t the rationales working?
Dragging the sleeve across your face so hard it burned, you marched with purpose. Sure, French fries wouldn’t solve your problems and were nothing more than another ridiculous balm, but at least they would taste damn good. You saw the glowing beacon tucked a few blocks down. You burned its lights into your retinas in an attempt to drown out the negative thoughts. They had never reared their head in this way and you were clearly losing the battle.
You had a sea of comments from him that said otherwise and yet given space all you could do was second guess every moment.
In a mental scream, you loudly berated the derogatory voices until you finally reached the restaurant. With doors flung open with a little too much force, you headed straight towards the counter. A man there seemed stunned by your existence for only a moment before his lackadaisical attitude kicked in. You ordered and passed him the 20 to receive change back. Pocketing the money instead of fiddling with your wallet, you wandered over to the sparse seating area.
You hadn’t checked your phone since this morning.
That incessant well of hope sprung up at just the thought.
Mentally building a dam of twigs and mud, you pulled out the device. A few wrong clicks with oily hands meant you bypassed the code to instead bring up the camera. Its last setting had been front facing for whatever reason and you caught sight of what startled the employee. Your hair was a mess, your face was ruddy, your cheeks were clearly tear stained, and there was yet another stain you hadn’t noticed on your shoulder.
Did you eat like an animal?
Cursing the makers of frozen food, you stared listlessly at yourself. You were just bitter enough that you could self-depreciate. Bringing the phone up high to at least attempt a flattering angle, you took a picture with the counter in the background. You shot it off into the sea of other texts with red warnings before thinking to add a comment.
You: Having the best Friday night ever
In a move that you imagined to be like an old gunslinger, you pocketed your device and leaned into a wall. Your eyes felt watery again so you closed them to keep anything else from falling. You wondered if maybe fighting back was the problem. Maybe you just needed to accept that you had always been the reacher in the relationship and, while you berated Donnie at the prospect of making his life about you, you had done so subconsciously as it was the pit you had fallen into. Acknowledgement would help you untangle the sticky web of complex emotions.
You must have finally run the gambit of grief.
Acceptance was the final step, or so they said.
Plotting a better tomorrow and a throw away of this evening, the employee called out to you. Pushing off the wall and feeling the smallest bit better, you went to grab your food. The bag entered your grasp and you lifted it off the tray to keep the worker from having to deal with picking it up later. He took the plastic back and you turned to leave. Parting a glance to the lobby on sheer coincidence, you saw several bills lying on the ground where you had once been. Souring and remembering your old west maneuver had probably dumped them, you sighed as you hobbled over to grab them. In a quick squat, you swiped the tender and heard a resounding clatter of something being dropped in the kitchen.
Slowly pushing off your knees into a rotation, there was a scream and then glass seemed to be flying everywhere. Stumbling backwards and falling into an affixed seat, you opened your eyes from where they were screwed shut to see the lights were now out and the entire front entrance was gone. What remained of it was sharp jagged edges of glass and several people running away outside through the now clear view of the sidewalk. Tinnitus set in signifying there had been some sort of explosion and you deliriously fought against it for clarity’s sake. In what was an embarrassing struggle, you managed to get back on your feet as the first sounds reached your damaged ear drums.
It sounded like the rhythmic motions of heavy machinery.
Vague memories percolated, which you kicked aside as you scrambled up to a corner to peek at whatever was happening. At the register, barely visible by some emergency lighting coming from within the kitchen, was a huge spider-like shape. Two thick legs dug wide into the ground and held up what you identified as the pilot of what must have been a suit. Another arm was then buried into the ruins of the counter while a fourth was wrapped around the employee who had helped you. The appendage brought the man up to the figure’s face where purple light seemed to burn him as his face was contorted in agony.
“I asked you a simple question.”
You nearly dropped your bag of food.
You’d only heard that voice once before.
It had haunted you for a long while, but it now elicited a very different reaction.
“I-I-I-I d-don’t k-know, m-man! I-I-I s-swear!” The employee stuttered and you could see the mechanics coil around him tighter until he had to give up on his grimace to gasp at the pressure.
You also knew that feeling well.
“Looking for someone?!” You planted your feet and shouted out.
The figure stopped dead.
Your heart made for a similar maneuver as you waited.
Then in a deathly slow turn, the figure’s head pivoted to your direction.
Two huge round purple orbs bathed you in their light.
“R-r-run!” The employee croaked.
That wasn’t happening.
It was nice of him though.
The arm released the man and he crashed into a heap somewhere behind the counter.
Mechanics shifted as metal extracted itself from plywood and the arms rotated the figure to face you. You stared up in awe as they then walked over to you in a methodical fashion. With a bend, the two lower arms brought the figure down until he was almost touching the ground. Memories of fear shot high, but they were intangible compared to what was now in front of you. That night had held a misty figure of torment. Even in the dark, the definition you now had painted him in a totally new light.
He was clearly disheveled. You had a feeling it wasn’t meant to be that way and this costume had been thrown on in a hurry. The collar of the black jumpsuit he wore hadn’t been zipped up all the way and flopped at a strange angle. His hood teetered back on his head to the point where a slight shift would probably knock it off. It helped accentuate the clear circuitry in there that wasn’t being used. A belt came off his shoulder and dangled uselessly down. It directed your eye further where you found one of his pants legs hadn’t been properly stuffed into his boots.
It reminded you of how you looked.
It served to further crop up a sort of kinship that then completely squashed the last embers of alarm left at the sight of him.
“You’re… not scared.”
His voice was so deep; it was strange. Still around his footwear, you moved to look into those glowing eyes. They had been white from what you last remembered. The recall of which seemed particularly distant. It felt like looking back on a nightmare many days after the fact. You understood why the employee had winced though. His headlamps were incessantly bright.
“I’m not.” Despite the light, you couldn’t help but soften.
Though you couldn’t see his gaze, you could sense he looked you over. Whatever he found appeased him because, when he brought his attention up, he had an assured aura. “Pretend to be.”
You nodded before an arm wrapped reached out to you carefully. You watched it openly as it slithered along your hip before beginning to encircle you. Memories of a coiling snake lapped at your consciousness, but still felt hollow in comparison to the terror from before. Though it looked similar to how the employee had been held, there was a gentleness as you were lifted off the ground. It was hard not to smile as you remembered his order. Trying to play the part, you freely let out a yelp of surprise. .
“H-hey!” You choked out as if you were being strangled even though in reality that was furthest from the truth.
In a turn and with a stomping of mechanical limbs, you exited out the hole while scared protests leaked off your lips. The wrap hadn’t coiled around your arms and so you made a show of trying to wrench yourself free. Crumbling brick rained down and signaled you were about to head up the building. He let you dangle in a trail behind him so you sent one last desperate plea to the workers who watched on in horror as you disappeared out the threshold. Back in the night air, you watched as three limbs mechanically worked their way up the building. It wasn’t exact, but the way the pack moved more methodically than what you recalled. You hoped the light of the city would help you get a better look at whatever his costume was, but from the back he basically looked like a black blob.
If he were going for anonymity then he was nailing it.
You breached the rooftop and he took pause. From your comfortable perch, you craned your head to see him fiddling with something. Waiting, he eventually turned towards you incrementally through use of his pack.
“We’re going to clear the area. They’ve called the police.”
“Gotcha!” You chirped before remembering yourself. “Oh, am I supposed to keep…?”
“Hold on.”
The pitch was still wrong, but it was teetering more towards recognizable. You were only given a useless moment to wonder if he meant to wait or grab something before he took off. In a rapid crawl that reminded you of a skittering bug, he ate up real estate at an alarming rate. You ended up bunkering down into the arm that shifted its hold as if to shield you. When he finally stopped, you peeked out to find you had to be miles from your original destination. He was fiddling with something again and continued to do so as you were lowered to the roof. The arm lingered until your feet were properly on the ground before he turned to you in a rapid rush.
You realized he’d also gotten his boots down and a gloved hand shot out only to freeze just before grazing you. His head tipped down as he did a blatant sweeping scan that ended in a slow trek to your face. In that time, you finally got the open view of him you craved. His jumpsuit appeared to be purposefully clunky in a way that encompassed his form and gave nothing away of what lay underneath. There was purple stripe detail that lined the zipper that wasn’t pulled up all the way. If it had, the collar would probably obscure his snout all the more. The dangling strap held a similarly colored blocky ‘D’ on it that you found to be an adorable trademark. The only parts of his costume that were suctioned to his skin were where the battle shell stabilized around his waist, his gloves, and his black combat boots that continued the theming with purple laces. His legs were dotted with various pouches and pockets further plumping out his pants with little color coded accents. It all hid him away just like the jet black mask that encased those purple eyes.
It was no wonder the media couldn’t settle on a name for him.
What would someone even call this?
“You aren’t injured.”
“No.” You spoke the phrase as you continued to examine his outfit.
“The photograph.”
You blinked wide before finally turning your attention straight at him.
Stupid selfie.
“Oh…” You grimaced. “About that…”
He straightened slightly as he waited.
“I…” Your gaze hit the roof below. “… had a bad day… is all.”
“You-” He made a noise of irritation and it was the closest to sounding like him yet. You watched his hands come away from you and reach up to his mask. The lights in his goggles clicked off first and you caught a glimpse of his gaze through the colored glass. In one swoop, the goggles and accompanying fabric were in one yanked off and his hood flicked back. Donnie stood in front of you in a huff.
“You-” You corrected. “-overreacted.”
“I-!?” He rose slightly with indignation. “I returned to the city to find evidence of you, distraught!”
“So you are going to acknowledge it?” You added an icy edge with the turn of your chin.
He dropped back down. “What do you mean?”
Anger shot through you.
That didn’t seem right.
“That you’re back! No hi, hello, or welcome! You just destroy a fucking fast food joint without noticing me at all!” You jammed a finger at him, but kept it from connecting. “One month and you’ve completely reverted! Not only did you freak out, you didn’t try to check in with me, and tracked me, with-” You reeled your arm in and threw the other out to push up your sleeve to show your tech gauntlet. “-this!”
He sank slightly into his suit.
“And even now you’re-!” Your breath hitched.
When had all those tears formed in your eyes?
He was back.
Weren’t you supposed to be happy?
Didn’t you have a plan to quell your excitement?
Why is it all you wanted to do was sob?
“Even now… you don’t…” You choked on the bitterness.
There was a click and release. You looked up to find the arms still standing, but Donnie stepped freely away from the battle shell. He closed the short gap between you, but hesitated again with a lifted finger.
“Guilt keeping you?” You spat quietly.
Wait.
“Guilt?” He dipped his head to catch your eye with a sudden urgency.
You dodged him.
This wasn’t right.
“A nice little vacation.”  You turned an eye on him only on your own terms.
No, you needed to stop.
He was clearly confused. “It was no vacation, I can assure you.”
“Assure?” Your chest puffed out and leaned your head back. “Calm down, you mean? Quell the piece back home?”
Irrational.
“Piece?” His snout crinkled around the word.
“Just stop.” You seethed and turned away.
You needed to stop.
None of this was real.
You knew that.
Why couldn’t you stop it from pouring out like blood from a wound?
“Y/N, I don’t understand.” He reached up and pulled the zipper at his suit.
“Ugh!” You almost gagged visibly, but were able to barely keep the theatric in check. “Enough stripping already! The costume isn’t the issue!”
He stopped and stared at you with a hardening expression.
“I’ll find my own way down.” You headed towards the access door when his hand closed like a vice around your wrist. You whipped around in a fury completely out of your control. “Don’t touch me-!”
He had his phone out and was swiping through it.
Horror blanketed you and you yanked desperately.
He let you thrash, but refused to let go as his eye scanned the device intently.
Bile burned your esophagus as you changed course. You shot towards him and he dodged easily in spin. “Stop!” You screeched and made another swipe that he easily outmaneuvered while still keeping your cuff on tightly. Furious, you twisted around in a new way and caught a glimpse of his screen.
It was your text chain.
Stomach bottoming out to nearly your feet, you dug your nails into the hand on you. Blood seeped from the pressure and you sent a satisfied smirk in his direction. The pained expression you hoped to find there was instead dire solemnity.
It looked eerily close to pity.
Enflamed, but beaten, you shrank away as far as he’d let you until he seemed to catch up with the messages.. He then allowed his phone to clatter to the ground as he turned on you.
“Don’t.” You warned, already curling into yourself.
He didn’t speak and released you.
You stood numbly and rubbed your wrist.
The damage there was your own.
Hadn’t you wanted to run?
He was coming close and you shirked away from him.
“Donnie stop.”
Like an unrelenting force, he continued to step towards you.
“Listen!” Your voice sounded thin.
He reached out.
“Don’t touch me!”
He halted on contact with the phrase.
You wanted to retract.
You wanted to scream.
You wanted to cry.
This wasn’t how the reunion was supposed to go.
It shouldn’t have happened tonight.
Tonight was already deemed a waste.
“I’d like permission.”
You refused to look at him. “For what?”
Just go.
“To comfort you.”
Why?
“Why?”
“I should have found another way; one that didn’t involve leaving you.”
Stop prolonging the inevitable!
Move on already!
All you’ve done is lead me on!
Go be with the perfect being that is clearly waiting on you!
Stop wasting my time!
Stop wasting yours!
The screams were so loud, your knees buckled.
Instead of falling, you dropped to a squat and buried your face into your hands. Your breath was so loud within the cupping, but it still wasn’t enough to quell those raging irrational thoughts.
You heard a swish of fabric.
He was still there.
He refused to stop hovering.
Why did he keep waiting?
Why wouldn’t he just leave?
Maybe you needed to tell him?
He needed to hear it.
Even if you wanted to, you knew you were too pathetic to ever do it.
No matter how much you wanted better for him.
You were too selfish.
You had been waiting so long for his return.
He was back.
Raising up as if puppeteered by an entirely different entity, you felt the night air hit your wet cheeks.
Of course, you were crying again.
You turned your devastated expression on him and spoke through glass. “I’m sorry.”
He was close; as close as he could possibly be with his big body and yet he still hadn’t touched you. He held out a hand and a handkerchief was deposited there from one of his arms of the battle shell even though it still sat a length away. Taking great care in adjusting the fabric in his hold, he blotted your cheeks. It was there that you felt how he’d maneuvered it so he wasn’t even touching you through the fabric.
His staunch following of your direction caused more tears to flow.
Stupid perfect asshole.
He caught the drips easily.
“I’m a mess.”
He shook his head.
“I have photo evidence to prove it.”
He raised a brow that said he disagreed.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?”
He stared for a moment longer before his gaze sank along with his hand. He stared at the darkened spots where your tears had absorbed into the handkerchief. “My first response needs to be a perfect encapsulation of my thoughts. Though, I am having difficulty formulating one.”
“Silence isn’t better.”
“I see that.”
Shifting off your rapidly numbing legs, you let yourself fall onto your ass.
“I should have realized.” There was a thump of him presumably doing the same. “I could have done something to quell your concerns.”
“Quell, huh?” You responded dryly.
You felt his gaze snap to you. “I ignored your prior insinuation because it was patently erroneous, but I find it alarming that you would bring it up again.”
“Bring up what?” Your legs were still a tangle in front of you and you hiked them up to bury your chin into your knee.
“That there could be anyone else.”
How many times would you force him to say that?
“It makes sense.”
“It doesn’t.” There was a shift as he somehow scooted even closer to you with nary a graze.
“Keep that up and we’ll need a microscope to prove your following orders.” You flicked him a harsh glance.
“I’ll supply one.”
“Donnie.”
“There is no one else. Not here. Not in the Hidden City. There is-” His hand appeared first as an anchor by your hip and then his face as close to yours as could be. “-only you. There has only been you since we met.”
You were glad your lips were pressed to your knee because it kept the questions from sneaking out.
“I will reassure you as many times as is necessary for you to believe me.”
After a lengthy blink, you finally turned a watery eye towards him.
“It does not ‘make sense’ or, however you chose to put it, otherwise. I have never entertained anyone as I have you. I also can’t imagine doing so. Do not depreciate your worth. You have no idea how valuable you are. I will admit, though, that I am unable to be objective in that regard.”
Your head rose from its perch and shook ever so slightly as you stared.
“You had openly shared your concerns regarding abandonment prior. I should have realized that, no matter the circumstance, this was analogous.”
Your mouth turned down threateningly and levered the well of your tear ducts.
“I cannot make up for the time we’ve lost, but you can be damn sure that I will not allow anything to separate us again.” There was a wicked edge to his eye that spoke of things set into motion that were probably best left unknown.
“Why me?” Your knee dropped down, leaving your torso exposed.
He gave his patented look. “I believe you were the one to attempt pivoting that statement through the other’s lens.”
Your brows knit.
“I could ask you the same, a stalemate.”
You shifted, opening yourself up all the more. “Why don’t you worry about me finding someone else?”
He squinted as if that were impossible. “Why should I?”
You pursed your lips and turned away a little. “Sorry, ‘Mr. Perfect.’”
“Setting aside your sarcasm, I just acknowledged fault, i.e. the enemy of perfection.”
“No.” You gave a sigh as you changed positions to face him. “I was being rude because you apparently think you’re so good that I couldn’t possibly go after anyone else.”
His gaze flicked away as if he were waiting for some joke to be called. When one didn’t, he returned with honest confusion. “For the sake of this… thought exercise, and I want to remind you that it is such and thus hypothetical on all accounts, that I would know the moment I came into contact with you, if you had been unfaithful, but, again for the sake of the exercise, I will ask, why would you cheat on me to begin with?”
“We’d have to be dating.”
His head bobbed as again he searched for the camera crew before returning to you with an affronted look. “We are.”
“Are we?” You lowered yourself under the weight of nerves.
“We continually go on dates, you’ve slept over nearly as much as you did your own apartment… We are by all accounts romantically entwined.”
“Your…” You could only find earnest intent across from you. “That’s something you have to establish!”
Donnie pinched the bridge of his snout. “I did!”
“Uh, no, you didn’t!”
Donnie shook his head like he couldn’t believe what was being said. “You told me I had to clarify when I asked you out and then I did exactly that. I didn’t mince my words and you accepted verbally.”
You stared openly and searched to find no such memory. “I have no idea what you’re talking about!”
“All this time-” Donnie growled and brought a hand up to push between his eyes like he had an oncoming migraine. “I don’t know what’s more concerning; that you somehow didn’t realize or that there was even a possibility you could go to someone else.”
“Donnie!”
Donnie dropped his arm and stared at you with fiery determination. “Would you like to date exclusively?”
“… Yes.”
“Would you like to be monogamous?” A venom leaked in there that said he would fight otherwise even though he offered the choice.
It brought the bud of a smile to your lips that you fended off. “Yes.”
“Then we are officially confirmed, though I refuse to acknowledge this as an anniversary. Voice your agreement.”
The grin blossomed against your will. “I agree and also, you’re keeping track? You don’t seem like the anniversary type.”
He shot you a biting look which he quickly traded for recognition. “Was that the source of your insecurity?”
You opened your mouth and closed it to turn away. “I want to give a flat yes, but… no. It’s clearly more.”
Donnie nodded slowly. “Is there anything I can do?”
You shook your head. “This has all been terrible timing. I… I literally just decided tonight to start working on this…”
“This being…?”
“You name it: negative thoughts, doomsaying, self blame, fear of abandonment...”
Carefully, he placed a hand to the ground near you. His fingers twitched as if he wanted to touch you, but resisted by digging a pad into the roof. “Was there a particular revelation?”
You gave a single dry chuckle. “You could say that.” Your head tilted as you stared at his hand. “A bad day led to worse thoughts. I’ve been fighting it, but I’m weak.”
You could feel offense rolling off your partner.
“I’m clingy, needy, and, apparently, super insecure. Logically, I knew it was all… illogical, but the bad thoughts just kept coming. I feel like a huge hypocrite.” You fought the urge to curl up. “It’s barely been a month and I worked myself up into such a tizzy that I convinced myself there had to be someone else. Not because I had evidence or an inkling, but because I just… thought so little of myself? … I guess?”
One of his fingers curled and stroked the uneven surface below in an attempt to soothe himself.
“Even now, I believe you. I hear you. I want to be happy. I can feel it submerged beneath this stupid ocean of doubt that I am; that we’re finally official.” You shot him a look which he caught with a tired expression. “To me.” You clarified before dropping your gaze. “Which is great, but it’s not an instant fix. The doubt is still there even though I know it isn’t real. Us… being close. It’s like an imposter syndrome that doesn’t set in until we’re apart and I can see it. Like no matter how close we get, you’re destined to leave.”
Donnie stopped and spread his digits out flat.
“I’m sorry. This isn’t the reunion either of us wanted…”
“The kind doesn’t matter.”
You looked up at him to find that he was also examining his own hand. “When you say it like that, it sounds like it doesn’t matter that I’m upset.”
He chuffed before looking at you, deadpan. “I despise when you’re upset, but reuniting, no matter the circumstance, was my top priority. It was always meant to be the first action upon my return. I would have preferred to take you in my arms, but I am also to blame for that failed occurrence.”
“What… happened? What were you thinking?”
“I wasn’t.”  He responded too quickly before relenting by tossing his head. “I emerged from a portal with my phone at the ready. I sent the retrieval code and allowed the messages to filter in. While they were dispersing, I messaged S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. to see if you were home. He replied that you weren’t so I switched back to our text chain and that’s where I saw… that photo.”
In a shift of your body weight, you pressed a hand near his and leaned onto it.
“I’ll admit the next actions are a blur outside of the single drive to eradicate whoever had the notion of harming you.”
You have a small smile. “Kinda hard when it was a movie and me.”
“A movie?”
You mocked a wince before rolling your eyes. “Even more dumb; it was nothing like us, but it was just some sad flick where one friend dies… Nevermind, the point is the thought of them not being able to hang out anymore hit me wrong.”
He made a noise of comprehension before his silence tugged your eye. You looked to find him thinking, but there was a hostile air to him.
“You’re not going after the writers, directors, or whoever!”
“Hm?” He looked up and you could see the plastic veneer of how synthetic his surprise was.
“Quit! It’s a story! Some movies are sad!” You blew a puff of air at him and he turned away from it.
“I suppose that leaves you.”
“Yeah…” You looked over at his battle shell. “I’m not gonna win that one.”
“I beg to differ.”
You gave him an audacious look, but he simply returned it with a neutral one that spoke of nothing else. “Huh.”
“A glaring weakness.” He said simply before returning his gaze to his hand.
You tried to imagine what that was before another image sank it and left goose bumps in its wake. “Take me in your arms? Were you daydreaming about me Donatello?”
The sudden use of his full name in a casual manner seemed to jar him though he fended off physically doing so. He let it linger before his expression shifted to a tender one. “May I?”
You weren’t sure what he was asking, but your lips moved. “Yes?”
He rose up and you felt grounded by the intense look he shot you. He then leaned in threateningly close and brought an arm up. Instead of catching you, it simply hovered as a cage around your shoulder as his nose leveled out with yours. “You plagued me to the point where it interfered with my work. It was the inability to contact you that was the true torment. You have no idea the amount of times I considered popping back into the city. It only need be long enough to glimpse you in a futile attempt to quell that inane distraction if only for a moment.”
You shrank away and hoped to fall into his arm.
Still trapped by your order, he adjusted to keep you from doing so while leaning farther forward to make up for the space.
“You-?” A shudder interrupted you, but you forced your eyes open through it.
“Missed you.” His gaze flicked to your lips then back to your eyes for clarification. “I missed you.”
A tear ran down your cheek and you watched it try to pull Donnie’s eye. He refused it and you launched yourself at him. With your arms encircling his neck, he allowed you to knock him clear to the ground. There you refused to let go and buried your face into his collar. You felt his arms hovering and you had to turn just enough to speak out. “Please. Hold me-no-whatever you want. Just anything, please.”
His arms came around in a crushing force and you happily accepted by desperately rooting as close to him as possible. It took far too much wiggling for what could have been comfortable, but you eventually settled with your legs slotted between his, curled up on his plastron. He rubbed at your back in both a soothing and hungry motion. You butted your head further against his and he dipped down to bury his against your hair. He paused suddenly there and you felt him take a deep breath. He then made a noise of irritation before doing his own desperate jostling. You giggled as he scrubbed manically at you with his head. The faint scales of his cheeks tickled yours and he got a grip on the back of your head to keep you in place while he did his work. It wasn’t until he stopped, gave another testing sniff, and let his muscles relax that you finally chanced questioning it. “Something off about my smell? I haven’t taken a shower yet.”
“There was no trace of mine.”
You blinked wide before propping yourself up with elbows to his plastron to look down at him. “Yours?”
“Mine.” He repeated firmly though his gaze clearly indicated it was meant differently.
You shrank down to join your hands around his chest. You let the heat in your cheeks smolder before a little counter thought buoyed you. “It goes both ways since… you are my boyfriend after all.”
You felt his whole body give a single second tense at the statement before his arms reaffirmed their encircling. It gave you time to reign in your overwhelmed emotions.
When you came to, you felt sleepy. “How was the Hidden City?”
“I saw little. I tucked myself away into a lab and only left a handful of times.”
You tried to picture him surrounded by proper lab equipment. “You did say it was no vacation.”
“Indeed.” He quieted and you felt one of his thumbs begin to draw lazy circles around the small of your back. “We can go one day, on our own terms. I’m sure you will be stunned by the beauty there.”
“Not you?” You hummed, shifting your chin against his pectoral plate.
“Never.”
Against your body’s protest, you hoisted yourself up again. “I don’t want to go then.”
His gaze dipped to you genially, but his head continued to lay flat. “Not interested in making memories anew?”
“Giving better context is fine, but hearing you actively dislike it makes me less curious. We’re making memories just fine. Plus, it’s hard for me to care about a place I didn’t even know existed until a month ago.”
He smiled, satisfied, and closed his eyes.
You sank back against his chest and grew still until you could just feel the faintest rise and fall of his breath. With the terrible voices finally tapering off in the face of Donnie’s dedication, you gave a single snort as you remembered something.
His finger tapped you to communicate his question.
“There was one real downside tonight.”
“And what’s that?”
“I didn’t get to eat the food I bought. I honestly have no idea what happened to it.”
Donnie gave an amused snort of his own.
“What?” You pouted even though he couldn’t see it. “Sure, it’s crap and cheap, but I still wanted it.”
“Look up.”
You had a question on your lips, but, as you shifted to obey, you heard the movement of his battle shell. It walked over until one of its mechanical arms outstretched and held a paper bag overhead.
You rose up in time with your arms to take it with both hands. “What the…?” The arm released and you immediately felt the heat. “It’s still hot!?”
“My battle shell has a warming function. It’s obviously not fresh, but-”
You ignored him to scrambled off and sit cross-legged beside him with the bag between your legs.
He grumbled as he forced himself upright.
You pulled out your sandwich and unfurled the paper slowly, savoring the scent that rushed out. You then sank your teeth into it and took a huge bite. Coming away to chew, you threw your head back and gave a happy hum.
Whatever latent ire Donnie had melted away and you could feel him watching you with affection.
Swallowing your bite, you dunked your hand into the bag to retrieve some fries and held them out to him. “Thank you.”
He exchanged a look between them and you several times before leaning forward to bite down. You released as he took them and watched as he cutely chewed them up into his mouth with rabbit-like imagery. He caught your enamored staring and you shirked away from his smirk to take another bite of your sandwich. He leaned back and planted his arms out behind him on either side to lazily gaze skyward. You scootched over until you were slotted against his side and leaned into him. You then continued to eat while routinely feeding him fries. Savoring your meal, you eventually finished and flopped against him to bear nearly all your weight. He accepted it easily and sank down until he could lay his head against yours.
You nudged him affectionately and lamented how greasy your lips were. You doubted he’d want to kiss you like that and internally sulked. In a gentle shift of metal, the battle shell dropped down and created a backrest for both of you. When you leaned into it, it then shifted for added comfort and to create a protective barrier around you. Pacified in nearly every sense, you stared up at the stars as everything else felt insignificant. It meant when a voice did reach you, it felt particularly far away.
“We are to not decide actions for the other solitarily.”
You hummed your affirmation.
“Are you conscious enough for this conversation?” Donnie craned his head and appeared in the top right of your vision.
“I’m up.” You twisted your body some so you could watch him.
“How do you feel about what I did tonight?”
You tilted your head, about to think it over, when he continued.
“Barring the tracking and overreaction.”
Raising your brows in comprehension, you gave a little nod as you thought it over. “I probably should care more about the property damage, but it’s just some dime a dozen chain. Well… wait. Does it hurt the franchise owner?”
Donnie studied you carefully, but his features gave little away. “And the employee?”
Shifting as he ignored your question, you frowned. “Did you hurt him?”
“Nothing lengthy.”
“And franchise?”
“It’s easy enough to look up ownership in addition to their insurance policy. After the Krang, most businesses in New York are required to carry a level of supernatural coverage.”
Krang?
“Why do you ask?” You really didn’t want to sit up, but the conversation was begging you to.
He was quiet for a long moment. You watched carefully as his eye held a heavy quality before he sent it upwards towards the sky. “With your permission, I’d like to slowly bring you into my world. Given lengthy time to evaluate our options, I’ve determined ignorance is no longer your safest course.” Dropping his withdrawal, he looked down at you with a sudden lighthearted air. “You think I, of all people, would have realized knowledge is one’s greatest defense.”
“You’re the dumbest smart guy I know.” You beamed up at him.
He soured into nearly a glare.
“Don’t worry. You’re still mine and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” You leaned up to peck him and paused as you remembered the grease.
He noticed and reached down to something you didn’t care to look at. You were carving his image back into your fresh memory when the crinkling of paper followed. His hand then appeared with a brown napkin. You shot him a smile before taking it to wipe your face. When you came away he was obviously presenting his cheek. You played up a show as if you were forced before leaning in to give him a kiss. Right before you made contact, he turned and caught your lips with his own. Trying to downplay how he’d caught you off guard, you decided to get him back by deepening the maneuver with a sudden ferocity. Air rescinded as he sharply inhaled in surprise.
Coming away only enough that when he spoke his lips brushed yours, he asked, “Your response?”
“Yes, all around.”
“Good.” He pulled another kiss from you in a slow way that made the way your lips resisted separation all the more apparent. “Do you like Italian?”
“Food?” You had to pull back to laugh. “I mean sure, we’ve had it before.”
A little content rumble came from his chest as the arm around you pulled you back to him. “There is an event I’d like you to attend as my date. It will send a message. I will not be surprised again. Is that agreeable?”
“S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. was right. You are possessive, hm?”
“Then it is a good time to mention that another factor in all of this is selfishly wanting you by my side. Always”
This time you stole a kiss.
He was growing more hesitant to pull away, but he seemed to want to say something else.
You decided to be the one to interject “It’s another ‘it goes both ways.’”
Against his will, his eyes grew owlish.
You dipped your voice down and ghosted over his lips as he had you. “You’re not the only one who wants the world to know who you belong to.”
In a growl, he flipped you and crushed his mouth to yours as the battle shell reconfigured into a sort of supportive seat. You made out until you heard a fist bang against metal. Donnie then rose up with anger painting his features. “Incessant!” He growled and looked down on you. “As much as I’d like to continue. I have one more obligation that must be fulfilled.”
“Yeah?” Your lips throbbed, kiss bruised.
“A stipulation of our agreement was him being able to see you as soon as you were cleared, safe, and content.” Donnie sat back on his knees and brought his arm up. It was then that you realized his gloves had disappeared long ago. Remembering the way they had once grown, it made sense they could retract similarly. With a shove, his sleeve pushed to his elbow and he tapped his tech gauntlet with excessive force.
“Him?” You wondered aloud, though the word hadn’t actually registered in your mind.
As if to answer your question, there was a sudden droning sound coming in fast.
You shot up, nearly crashing into Donnie as you searched the sky.
You located the faint glow of S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N.’s rotors soon enough and stood ready as he crashed into you.
“Careful!” Donnie hissed, softening your impact with an arm behind your back.
“I’m sorry, Y/N! I’m so sorry! Having to listen to you every night and not being able to respond broke my metaphorical heart! You have no idea how many times I wanted to say screw it and come see you! No matter how dumb the whole thing was, the safest decision was not to, but that doesn’t mean I have to agree. Just know I heard every word and I’m gonna so make it up to you! I’ve got a whole list! Just like the things you mentioned! It’s gonna be awesome!” S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. outpoured in speech so fast you could barely keep up.
Donnie sparked and looked down at you with wide eyes. “Every night?”
You looked up at him sheepishly. “Uh…”
“More than you were texted. That’s for sure.” S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. remarked proudly.
“S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N.!” You barked before turning to Donnie apologetically. “It was different. I knew he was there-”
“It’s alright.” Donnie cut you off and you could see he was already sinking into a self-depreciation you knew all too well.
“No!” Not letting go of S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N., you shot to your toes and then had to do a jump to catch Donnie’s lips. The first kiss only made contact with his chin and he jostled awkwardly at the move. His gaze met yours to find you sitting firm with narrowed brows and fiery determination. S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. buzzed out a teasing syllable as Donnie dipped down into reach so you could kiss his worries away.

Headcanons for Ucheshi during canon events in TLG
Let Sleeping Crocs Lie-She was definitely trying to make the best of her time during the Dry Season, trying to be optimistic about the whole ordeal. She honestly didn’t mind Kiburi’s little mutiny at first since they were all desperate for some water, but what she didn’t approve was Kiburi calling for a mashindano. She actually followed Kiburi afterwards and was like “Kiburi, I’m only gonna say this cuz I care about you…but what the hell are you doing?!” and begged Kiburi to call it off. Before the mashindano, one of the other females was all “So who do you think is gonna win?” and everyone else was all “Makuu.”, Ucheshi included. She loves her big brother, but even she knows he doesn’t stand a chance. Like everyone else, she had no clue about Kiburi’s little scheme and was genuinely planning to visit him daily when he lost the mashindano. The fight itself was hard to watch, but when Kiburi revealed his plan out of the blue, it hurt her even more.
The Little Guy-I’ve already mentioned her reaction to Hodari wanting to be in the float, but as for the rest of the episode, she and the other female crocodiles were doing their own thing. And thank the spirits because Kiburi would have gotten off worse than being roared at
The Savannah Summit-After Makuu walks away from the Summit after Kion pounces on him. Ucheshi happened to be eating her lunch when he walked by. She let him confide in her and convinced him to give the other leaders another chance, which is where he was going before running into the Guard and almost falling into the trap
Battle for the Pride Lands-This would be where she finally fights against Kiburi to protect Makuu. Kiburi wasn’t initially going to surrender unlike the other Outlanders, but the moment his sister was in front of him, he had no choice but to back down for good. It was either that or fight his sister. As mad as he was at her, he could/would never dream of it. He made a promise and he intends to keep it
Her voice claim would be Mandy Moore (Rapunzel from Tangled)
I like to think if Ucheshi had a canon episode, it would be her teaching the guard how to outsmart the Outlanders rather than just fight them all the time, though she is a bit hesitant at first. When Scar hears about how the guard has outsmarted Janja, Reirei, and even Mzingo, he sends Kiburi and his float to try to stop them. It’s then when the guard realize why Ucheshi wanted to avoid fighting so much. She knew that crocodiles were the best fighters, and if she kept fighting the crocodile way, she would have to fight Kiburi, which is the last thing she wants. In her mind, if she didn’t fight, then she wouldn’t have to see Kiburi. In the end, she both outsmarts and defeats him using her fighting skills without him fighting back.
Thinking about my Makuu-Kiburi role swap au and I feel like Ucheshi would be one of Makuu’s followers since Tamka, Nduli, and Neema still stay with Kiburi. Although not stupid, she’d take Tamka’s role and lead a couple of Makuu’s other henchmen. I think it’d be interesting to see Kiburi’s reaction to his own sister being involved with Makuu’s scheme. The look of betrayal on his face would say it all
Gotta love croc angst

Happy one year anniversary!!!!! 🎉🍾🎉🍾🎉
For the Top One celebration and with summer coming, can you please write something about Hannix and the kids going on vacation? It could be Disneyland, Hawaii, or wherever else. I just need some family vacation fluff. Thank you!!
Thank you so much! We love some Seresin family fluff! 🥰
“Mommy! Mommy! Look!” Liam exclaimed, barreling over to where Phoenix was reclining on a chaise lounger with eighteen-month-old Ellie snuggled up on her chest.
Lifting her sunglasses atop her head, Phoenix smiled as her five-year-old son pressed himself against her side, holding up a sticky hand to proudly show off the treasure he’s just discovered—three large seashells, all in varying shades of orange and pink.
“Wow, look at these!” she cooed softly, not wanting to wake Ellie, who had just fallen asleep about ten minutes ago. “They’re beautiful, baby! And all perfectly intact, too. You don’t see that too often on the beach,” she said, which made Liam’s eyes widen. “That’s some treasure.”
“They’re for you, Mommy,” he said sweetly, carefully placing them down on top of the cooler that was sitting beside Phoenix’s lounger. “And Ellie,” he added quickly, beaming at his baby sister.
“Thank you so much, Liam,” Phoenix smiled, reaching out with one arm to give him an affectionate squeeze. “I love them, and I know Ellie will, too, when she wakes up.”
“I’m gonna go play with Daddy and Ben and JJ now,” Liam announced suddenly, turning and hightailing it back to where the rest of the Seresin men were currently in the process of building a very elaborate sandcastle, complete with a moat and drawbridge.
Jake had taken pains to teach the boys the assembly line method all afternoon, which had resulted in some very fanciful sand creations. Liam took one bucket and went to fetch water—when he wasn’t hunting for seashells—while Ben filled the other buckets with sand and JJ and Jake hefted them to wherever they were most needed. Then all of them coordinated their efforts to plan out the design. Any admiral worth his salt would be impressed by their efficiency.
At the moment, JJ was putting the finishing touches on the castle’s tower, while Ben was attempting to fashion a flag out of seaweed and twigs. When Liam came running back over, he and Jake started to work on filling the moat with seawater.
“Look at our boys, Ellie,” Phoenix mused softly, even though she knew her small daughter, exhausted from a full day in the sun, was out like a light. “We are two lucky girls, that’s for sure,” she sighed contentedly, stretching out on the chaise lounger and adjusting the towel that she was currently using as a blanket to cover Ellie.
Phoenix and Jake had been debating for weeks where they wanted to take the kids on a family vacation before they finally settled on Florida. They briefly considered going to Disney World, but then decided it would probably be better to wait until Ellie was a little older. So instead, they’d asked one of Phoenix’s brothers if they could use his beach property in Tampa.
It ended up being the perfect plan. All week, the kids had loved running around on the beach, swimming in the pool, and eating more ice cream than their small bellies could contain. It was a joy to see them so happy.
With the week winding down, this would probably be one of their last days at the beach, and they wanted to make the most of it. They’d packed a picnic lunch in the cooler and planned to stay until the sun went down. If the pinks, purples, and oranges scattered across the sky were any indication, that would be happening pretty soon.
At that moment, Phoenix looked up to find her husband—sporting a golden tan and looking even more devilishly handsome than usual—grinning down at her.
“How may I help you, Bagman?” she asked teasingly, brushing Ellie’s dark hair with the tips of her fingers.
“The boys and I want you to come see our castle, Minx,” Jake replied, his grin growing wider as he reached down to lift a still sleeping Ellie into his arms. “I got her,” he said, shifting her in his hold so that her cheek was pressed against his shoulder.
Smiling as well, Phoenix swung her legs over the side of her lounger and rose to her feet, slipping her hand into Jake’s as he led her over to where JJ, Ben, and Liam were standing proudly around their creation.
“Surprise, Mommy!” Ben yelled, waving his hands in the air.
“Do you like it?” JJ asked eagerly, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
“Oh, I love it!” Phoenix told them all, her dark eyes widening in amazement at the work they’d done. It was even more impressive up close. “You boys did an amazing job!”
“It’s a castle, Mommy! And you’re the queen!” Liam beamed, another large seashell already tucked into his palm.
“Oh, am I?” Phoenix grinned, kneeling down to more carefully inspect her castle.
“Of course, Minx. The Seresin Castle would be nothing at all without its queen,” Jake told her, winking playfully when she turned her head to look up at him.
“Mm, and don’t you forget it,” Phoenix joked, rising and grabbing each of her boys to give them a big kiss. “I love you all so much,” she told them, ruffling their hair.
“Doesn’t the king get a kiss?” Jake smirked, puckering his lips.
JJ, Ben, and Liam all giggled as Phoenix rolled her eyes and hurried to give him a kiss as well.
“Mommy! Daddy! Look at the sky!” JJ pointed out, gazing out across the expanse of the water.
The sun was indeed setting, a dazzling array of the most stunning colors nature had to offer. Standing together beside their castle, the Seresins took in the sight in quiet awe, enjoying the moment together as a family.
“This has been a pretty damn perfect day, Minx,” Jake whispered in Phoenix’s ear, wrapping his free arm around her waist.
Phoenix smiled, twisting her neck to gaze up at him. “I couldn’t agree more, Bagman.”

Together forever – Arven x Reader
Together forever – Arven x Galarian!Reader
First post okkk, I genuinely didn’t know what to make the title, and I hate this so much cause I started writing in Y/n’s POV instead of Narrators POV and I can’t write for Y/n’s POV like ever it’s so bad. I’m not happy with this at all I’m probably gonna re-write this like one day. Also I didn’t really know how to write the second part (after the line) so that part was rushed and not as well-written as the first part was. Also reader is gn, if I used she/her or he/him anywhere where I should have used they/them pls lmk,
Warnings(?): Kissing(really light), cringe(extremely), sensitive reader(reader cries like 5 times I think) I don’t think there’s anything else and none of these are really ‘warnings’ so yea!
Words: 1 820(including stuff above the line), 1 690(excluding stuff above the line)
………………………………………………………………………………
This week was graduation week. All my seniors were overjoyed at the fact they were finally graduating. Several graduation parties were being held right before the last day of school since final exams had just ended. I was of course happy too, I could finally be a senior myself and I was soon going to be a year closer to graduating. But a part of me just really wasn’t happy as well. The thought of all my friends leaving me behind didn’t sit right with me. I was the youngest in my friend group. Nemona, Penny, and Arven. They were all a year above me. The reason we became friends was well, I don’t really actually even remember. That’s not the point here though. The point is that all my close friends would be leaving me, I could deal with it during class since there were a few people in my class who I had taken a liking too and was able to be their partners during projects. But outside of class I relied on them. It made me anxious to even think about being all alone again. I didn’t know what to do. I stared at the clock it was almost time for class. Had I really been awake from 11pm all the way till 6am? I usually fell asleep easily thinking about all sorts of things. It was easy for me to fall asleep; in fact I enjoyed it, being able to close your eyes and not have to worry about anything.
I dragged my feet into class, the day was spent mainly fooling around, playing bored games, etc. Nothing really interesting. I dozed of majority of the time, or just listened to my classmates talking about what they were going to do during summer break and how we all should meet up. If you ask me the idea wasn’t bad, but I’d rather sleep in.
I opened my eyes as I heard the bell ring for break. I hurriedly got up from my seat and rushed over to the area me and my friends usually sat at. I waited for a bit. And waited some more. . . .It didn’t seem like they were coming, they were probably on that field trip they were talking about. Apparently they were going today morning I think and are coming back on the last day of school. Must be nice. I got up from the place I was sitting at and walked around while eating my lunch. I settled for sitting in a corner and just watch the younger students run around and play tag until the bell rang.
The rest of the day was pretty boring just going around from class to class and listening to student’s gossip. Eventually though I had arts. The teacher had requested us to draw something that came from our hearts. Whatever that meant. I stared at the blank sheet of paper I had gotten and thought of what I could even draw. Before I even knew it I started drawing, a boy I think. I couldn’t really tell yet. I was simply just drawing what I felt like I should. All of a sudden I stared back down at the paper and saw a boy, or maybe it was a girl? The hair seemed familiar almost too familiar. My cheeks felt hot as I realized who I started drawing, I crumpled up the drawing and threw it away. Screw my brain. I only had 10 more minutes to draw something. I eventually grabbed another paper and quickly sketched out an Umbreon and Espeon and handed it.
I walked out of class and walked to my dorm, oh my Arecus was I lonely. I should probably try and make some friends in my grade next year. I fiddled with the keys to my dorm and walked inside closing the door behind me. I took off my shoes and crawled onto my bed. I stared at the wall and my stomach was making funny knots. It didn’t hurt but it sure didn’t feel good either. I thought I was having a stomach ache or something of that sort but it didn’t feel the same. This either happened from the thought of being lonely or whatever I was doing in art class. I turned around I threw my head into my pillow before I felt my phone vibrating. I groaned as I opened it. It was from the gc with me and my friends. They had apparently been messaging in there for like what 10 minutes now? I don’t know how I just realized. I opened the gc and scanned over the messages.
Arven Hey buddy! How ya doing?
Nemona HI YN ARE YOU AWAKE OR DID U SLEEP THROUGH ALL YOUR CLASSES AGAIN ??
Penny Calm down it’s been 5 minutes plus its 4pm, they’re probably heading back to their dorm.
Arven But what if something happened? They usually respond really quickly even if they’re in class
-4 minutes ago
Nemona Exactly
Penny What’s your point you imbeciles
Arven Ouch words hurt penny
Penny And idc
Weren’t they all in the same place? Why were they communicating in a group chat.. I stared at the messages. I didn’t really know what to say and you were too tired to even reply back. But it was obvious I had read it by now so I quickly typed a quick good night to the group chat and set my phone aside, not bothering to see what they had said afterwards.
I changed out of my uniform and into something else and jumped onto my bed as I closed my eyes. But same thing as last night, I couldn’t sleep. I found myself wanting to cry at the thought of being lonely again. I didn’t want to be alone, or for them to go, I really loved them. I loved how energetic Nemona could be, I admired her for that. I also really loved Penny and how sweet she could be underneath all that ice. I especially loved Arven, I couldn’t really pinpoint why but I knew I did. Just thinking of him made my heart flutter. At some point I started crying into my pillow, it was just too much for me to handle at the time.
………………………………………………………………………………
The whole week had passed with the same schedule. Today they were finally graduating and you’d be a senior. The morning half of your classes was some-what fun, I wish I could enjoy it as much as my classmates had been. I hated the thought of being alone, but I had to accept it. The bell rang and I got up, your vision was blurry, though there weren’t any tears in it and my chest started hurting. Everything felt un-real. Maybe I was being dramatic. I got up from my seat as the bell rang. I was walking to the table me and my friends usually sat at. My walking came to a halt and I turned around. I can’t really explain what came over me but I really didn’t wanna see them right now. I was sort of starting to regret walking away but I couldn’t help it, I just needed some space at the moment.
The rest of the day passed by fairly quickly, I was just lying down on my bed while watching tv till all of a sudden my phone started vibrating. I hurriedly reached for it and checked it. It was a message from Arven.
“Hey buddy where you at?”
“At my dorm, why?”
“Aren’t you gonna come orr”
“Oh Yea ok I’ll be down there give me a minute”
“cya” liked by y/n
You changed into one of your outfits and put on your shoes and ran out of your dorm closing the door behind you. You went outside and started searching for your friends. You found them eventually standing near a fountain, talking.
“Hey”
“Hi”
“Hey Y/n!”
“Hey buddy”
We all stared at each other awkwardly in silence till Nemona spoke up.
“I’m just gonna get some food be right back”
“I’ll go with you wait” Nemona ran off with Penny trailing behind.
“So…where were you all day?”
“I was just walking around, kinda forgot you all came back from your trip today sorry”
“Oh, I wanted to give you something”
“Hm?”
Arven grabbed something from his backpack and handed it to me. It was a…a pokeball? A cherish one to be exact. I grabbed the pokeball and examined it carefully.
“Go ahead, open it”
“Oh, there’s something inside?”
“Y/n…it’s a pokeball…why would I give you an empty one…”
“Oh.”
I threw the pokeball out excited to see what pokemon was inside. It was a… an applin? I looked back at him, his face was a light read color and I looked back at the applin. I examined a bit more till it finally hit me. My face was burning and I was sure he could feel the heat radiating off of me by now.
“You love me?” Why am I so stupid? Of course that’s why he gave me an applin, there’s no other explanation! I’m from Galar, and he just came back from a trip to Galar!
“Yea, I totally get if you don’t feel the same wa-“
I cut him off by placing a kiss on his cheek. “I love you too! I never would have thought you liked me back..I guess that’s why I ignored you guys when you all came back, I couldn’t stand seeing you all at the time…I especially couldn’t see you, my chest felt tight whenever I even thought of you leaving so I just avoided you all, I’m so-“I was cut off by him placing a kiss on my face and pulling away.
“You talk too much sometimes, you know? I already knew that you idiot! And, I’ll never leave you, so come on let’s go find those two.” He said grabbing my hand to go search for Penny and Nemona together.

The dark frost hashira  black y/n reader x tengen x tengen’s wives part 10
Tumblr media
As months passed you spent your days with the wives often. After of course being more “close” to them, they saw you as another wife in their family. And speaking of another wife, they were trying to get you ready for your ceremony to them. They always liked making it special whenever someone joins their family but it would take a few weeks so you knew it wouldn’t be anytime soon. Tengen would train by himself sometimes. But mostly he went to visit his siblings at the graves. However, after that little talk you had with him a few months back, about still being
useful to the slayer corps, it never left his mind. He thought about your great idea and decided to visit kagaya today. He was gone all day and didn’t return till dinner was just literally ready. You girls prepared a big dinner as since there were more of you now, making more food for dinner time seemed necessary. And as you all sat down you thought it wasn’t right to eat without tengen. You all just sat there, waiting. Suma got anxious and tried to touch the food. But Makio slapped her hand. “Ow! Makio why!?” Makio was now annoyed of suma’s whining “not until lord tengen returns!” While suma was crying you stared at hina who now looked concerned. He was running late. “I hoped he didn’t run into any demons” hina thought “maybe because of his other eye missing he can’t tell from his left or right!” All of you eyebrowed suma “what kind of sense does that make?” Makio replied. You finally spoke up “look I’ll just go out to look for him. He said he went to visit the master today, but maybe he’s on his way back now..” hina spoke up “I’ll come with you. I don’t want you going by yourself…” you held hina’s hand and smiled warmly at her “alrigh…” “…..!” All of a sudden the door slides right open. It was tengen and he seemed beamed up about something. “Lord tengen!” You all acclaimed. “Hello my flashy wives! We have a mission! And after dinner I’ll tell you all about it!” You looked confused “A mission? But I thought we all would retire?” Tengen looked at you “yes but like you said, we should still give our assistance some way or another. Once slayers always slayers! And I put out a request from our master. Little nezuko has concurred the sun. And apparently there haven’t been any demons around lately. So we’re gonna help train the slayers to get their slayer marks…” you were happy for the news but something still bothered you “but we’ve never had any slayer marks, can it actually be done?” Tengen thought for a moment “who cares…we’re slayers! And flashy at that.. how hard can it be?” You rolled your eyes but for some reason it all sounded exciting. The girls seemed on par with it as well but suma was getting a little hungry. So you all sat down and enjoyed the night away.
You all went to bed and it was your turn to cuddle with tengen as he takes turns cuddling his wives each night. While they were fast asleep you were still awake rubbing  tengen’s arm, thinking. You still wondered if all the changes you made up to this point were good choices. You drifted off to sleep finally. And when you awoke, everyone was out of bed. Except you and suma, who’s arm was on top of you while she slept and drooled. You got up next and saw the others making breakfast. Tengen smiled at you “I’m guessing suma woke you up with her snoring?” You chuckled “she always does…” “well after we wake her we’re gonna go train the maggots…” hina patted tengen’s shoulder ”tengen….” “What? They are….” Tengen replied. Makio spoke up “maggots or not…will shape them up” tengen smiled at Makio’s dedication. Even though her job was to make lunch for the slayers. Suma finally awoken “why didn’t anyone wake me? Hina…I’m hungry” Makio rolled her eyes. “Atleast freshen up suma! we got a big day ahead of us!” Makio complained “ahhh…Makio! Stop yelling in my ear!” You all ate together. And started to get ready. The wives job was to make lunches for the slayers. Tengen’s job as a former hashira was to train them basic stamina. Your job was to teach camouflage. As you were good at blending through your surroundings. The twist with your training though is that it runs in a time limit. If you find a slayer within their surrounded area before time runs out, you hit them painfully until they improve their camouflage. Tengen was surprised by this discipline you’ve chosen on them. He thought he was good at hazing others. But he remembered the stories you told him about your training growing up.  You both heard training with the other hashira was far worst. But you were just happy to assist. And you continued within the weeks training the others. Zenitsu and Inosuke also joined and they did good for the most part. But zenitsu kept kissing your hand as he was glad to see you again. Only to have tengen nudge his head quickly. Inosuke on the other hand tried impressing you with how good he was at camouflaging.  You smiled but that didn’t stop you from catching him and fighting back. “Good try but your gonna have to do better than that kid!” Inosuke laughs hysterically. Eventually, after you and tengen decide the boys had improved enough, you sent them on their way. Tanjiro came by the next week later. The only difference is that he did much better than any other slayer in training. You enjoyed his company since he was such talented a young one. At one of your breaks you decide to go for a walk. And during that walk you went to visit shinobu and the other girls. You saw kanao who you heard had been protecting aoi and the others more. That relived you. Even though tengen tried to take them against their will twice.
Tumblr media
Shinobu asked how was the training going and you gave her your funny experience with some of the slayers trying to hide from you. But while you were talking someone caught your eye. It was little nezuko looking at the goldfish. She stared at you when you stared at her. You smiled at her remembering that this is the same girl who saved your beloved tengen. “Hi nezuko…how are you?” Nezuko tried opening her mouth which surprised you “I…fine…I’m fine…” you were now shocked “when did she learn to talk!?” Shinobu chuckled “oh that’s right you were on leave when nezuko showed signs of speech.” Shinobu explained what happened during that time. And all of this seemed astonishing. “Maybe will finally put an end to muzan and the demons after all…” you thought “yes…maybe..” as nezuko came closer to you for a hug, you smiled and allowed her to hug you while you pet her. She looked up with such an angelic face. But something was different about the way she hugged you. She kept rubbing your tummy like there was something there. Like it needed to be protected. You were confused at first and shinobu took notice of this too. And when shinobu realized what it could mean her eyes widen. “Y/n… are you ok?” You looked at her blinking twice “yeah…I’m fine..why do you ask?” Shinobu looked at you for a long while and finally with a calm face said “oh…never mind, just, just be careful when you train the others…” you were now lost of words “um…ok” after a little while you left and said your goodbyes. And as you walked home you thought to yourself “what was that all about?”
suma: more rice balls!
